Came here with the family and it was definitely a cool experience. Very interactive. The staff at the front, and throughout the experience is very friendly. They tell you that you can touch the dinosaurs that you can reach without crossing the ropes. There's a big sandbox to "dig up" dinosaur bones with paintbrushes. I really didn't expect my teenager to enjoy himself, but he had fun too! That pleasantly surprised me. I think we all learned a few new things about where certain dinosaurs lived, and some dinosaur names we hadn't heard of before. The ONLY reason it's not getting a full 5 stars is because of a couple of reasons - 1 - A couple of the dinos could use maintenance. One of them has long claws that are a little broken. (You can see the inner structure poking out.) The small T-Rex looks like his eyes are having issues opening back up after it "blinks." 2 - The only staff member that wasn't very friendly was the cashier at the souvenir shop. He seemed like he really didn't enjoy his job. It's not the most fun position to have there, I'm sure, but it does have an effect on the full experience for customers. Definitely a place to check out for anyone that has kids that have any interest in dinosaurs.

There are so many dinosaurs in this exhibit that I have not seen before! That is hard to do as my daughter loves dinosaurs and we have been to a LOT of dino exhibits. Most of the dinosaurs make noise and move. There is an audio tour you can access that is more for kids but entertaining to listen to. The dinosaurs each have a name plate and information about them that is easy to read. It is a little dark with spot lights on the dinosaurs. Makes the dinosaurs stand out. My 3 year old wasn't scared. They have interactive exhibits like a dino dig, race to see if you can out run a raptor, a dino slide, coloring that you can turn the picture into "life" on the projector screen. There is a cornhole type game to feed either carnivore or herbivore. At the end there is a virtual reality game for both Littles and big kids beside the gift shop. The experience was an enjoyable one for both kiddos and adults.

Very cute exhibit. Restrooms are clean and fully stocked. I think more lighting should be added to the actual coloring area and other areas in the exhibit with better directions signs.. Also the marker need to be checked daily so the children will have multiple colors to color the dinosaurs. I won't hurt to redo the layout and completely close off areas guest should not be. Overall cute little place .

Lots of cool dinosaurs that look realistic and move around. Really great for kids under 11 or so. Mine are 6 & 8 and had a blast. I love how it was organized by continent and that the kids had a passport with landmarks to track their visit. It was a fun way to spend the afternoon :)

I came here for a yelp event and all i have to say is WOW ! It was a neat surprise because it went beyond my expectation. You are greeted right away and the process to go in is simple and quick. My 3 kids ages 7,5 and 3 absolutely loved it. They where so happy and excited looking at all the dinosaurs! I love how every room gets more creative and the lighting is beautiful. Their party room looks cool as well! We will definitely be back !

We took our nearly 2 year old here and on the website says there is discount for military. We pulled out our IDs to show and he still charged us the entire price. We weren't offered a receipt. If it wasn't for that we would have definitely given 5 stars.

Extremely aggressive customer service. The employee at the gift shop yelled and screamed at us from all the way across the store, and threatened us when we were leaving. Never experienced this before in any other place.

Grab a prehistoric passport and join over 30 giant moving dinosaurs in our walk thru safari on a globetrotting expedition at Dino Safari, a dino adventure for the whole family. Go on a globetrotting expedition around the world, dropping in to see a variety of dinosaurs living on each of the seven continents that were once Pangea during the Age of Reptiles. Get up-close-and-personal with the most fascinating prehistoric creatures from the mighty T. rex of North America to the giant amphibious Spinosaurus from Africa while you learn how dinosaurs evolved over time, where on earth they lived, and the discoveries paleontologists have made about how they ate, moved, and behaved. Dino Safari features fossils, a Sauropod Slide, Dig Pit, interactive games, cutting-edge research, and many varieties of advanced animatronic dinosaurs. Dig up ancient fossils, see how you measure up to the massive T. Rex, and race a Raptor. Dino Safari: A new walk-thru dinosaur experience at North Point Mall takes you back to prehistoric ages

A new immersive dinosaur experience promises to transport kids and families back to the prehistoric age! Dino Safari: A Walk-Thru Adventure is running through February 26, 2023 at North Point Mall in Alpharetta.

Dino Safari features 30 life-sized, realistic, animatronic dinosaurs — including the T.rex of North America and the Spinosaurus from Africa. Each dinosaur is displayed in a replica of its natural habitat.

The exhibit also offers hands-on challenges for visitors to solve, virtual reality experiences, and an interactive space for children.

Dino Safari was created by Atlanta-based Imagine Exhibitions, in a collaboration with world-renowned paleontologist Gregory M. Erickson.

Know before you go

The exhibit runs Wednesday through Sunday in most weeks.

Tickets are for timed entry. The first time slot is 11 a.m. and the last one starts at 4:30 p.m.

The experience takes about 60 to 75 minutes to walk through. You can also spend time in the gift shop.

It is family-friendly and appropriate for all ages — meaning, it’s not too scary for little kids.

You should buy tickets online in advance to ensure availability. Walk-ups can only be accommodated as space allows.

Tickets are just $15 for adults and kids (there is sales tax and a $2 convenience fee.) Children under 2 are admitted for free. Click here for tickets

Our little ones LOVE dinosaurs. I esp love that our little girl does as well. I used to think that dinosaurs were a boy thing (we have an older boy) but I am so glad to see that our girl loves them too! Maybe we have a future palentologist? Imagine Exhibitions brings a dinosaur-filled indoor experience to Alpharetta for families and visitors to get up-close-and-personal with larger-than-life replicas of the most fascinating, fan-favorite prehistoric inhabitants.  Dino Safari: A Walk-Thru Adventure opens Nov.19, 2021 , in Alpharetta’s North Point Mall.

In this walk-through adventure, attendees will meet and interact with more than 30 life-sized dinosaurs, including the T.rex of North America and the Spinosaurus from Africa. With the help of scientifically accurate installations and realistic moving animatronics, Dino Safari will transport guests back millions of years to get up close and personal with prehistoric creatures in a replica of their natural habitat.

Located in the upper level of North Point Mall, the experience showcases how dinosaurs evolved over time and offers hands-on challenges for visitors to solve, along with depictions of natural elements that often occurred during this time, such as earthquakes. The thrilling adventure features captivating VR technology, spectacular installations, and an interactive space for children. What is Dino Safari: A Walk-Thru Adventure?

This walk-through attraction was created by Atlanta -based Imagine Exhibitions (the same people who produced Harry Potter: The Exhibition ) in collaboration with Ph.D. Dinosaur Paleontologist Gregory M. Erickson .

The exhibit features realistic animatronic dinosaurs, scientific exploration, and fun interactive elements to immerse you in the prehistoric world of the dinosaur.

Ready to take a step back in time? Dino Safari: A Walk-Thru Adventure is currently showing in Las Vegas at the Horseshoe Hotel and Casino .

My Dino Safari: A Walk-Thru Adventure Review

The Dino Safari walk-thru experience begins with a passport to Pangea . We received this small passport booklet and a crayon. Inside the passport is a scavenger hunt of different dinosaurs, unique features, and plant life for us to find and check off as we walked through the exhibit.

You can also scan a QR code at the beginning of the experience to get access to an audio guide and music that will add to your safari experience. It’s not necessary to use the audio guide, but it’s great if you’ve got someone who wants to learn all the things about dinosaurs.

The journey through Pangea (the giant contiguous landmass that all the continents used to be a part of) is broken out into the continents we’re familiar with today. We learned about what each continent would have been like as part of Pangea and saw the dinosaurs that were native to that area.

We got to meet some of our favorite dinosaurs and even discovered a few we hadn’t even heard of.

And one of the best parts was that we got to take a picture with the T. Rex !

At the end of the experience was a “ fun zone ” where we got to do an interactive digital coloring game that brought our drawing to life, “feed” dinosaurs in a corn-hole-type game, play on an balancing course, race against a dinosaur, and put together a dinosaur puzzle.

The experience exits into the gift shop, naturally, where you can buy dinosaur toys, candy, clothes, and stuffed animals.

This is also where the Virtual Reality simulators were located, where you can go on additional adventures like flying through the mountains, a thrill ride in the city, and bungee jumping over a canyon. We did the bungee, roller coaster, and flying simulators, and they were okay. I’m not a huge fan of VR simulators because I get motion sick.

What Was Great About the Experience

The displays were great. I loved the animatronic dinosaurs and the traveling theme with the passport, vintage postcard displays, and grouping the dinosaurs by region.

The interactive elements were a nice touch. There was a dinosaur slide, a small tunnel to crawl through between two exhibits, a sandbox archaeological dig, and some small jungle balancing courses. Just a lot of little fun things for the kids.

The workers were all very nice and helped add to the safari experience. One even took a bunch of amazing pictures for us with the T. Rex!

What Was Not So Great

We were confused about the scale of the dinosaurs. I came into this thinking they were all mostly life-sized, then we started noticing that some of the small dinosaurs were displayed really big, including the smallest dinosaur that was scaled up to like 8 feet tall. And of course some of the large dinosaurs had to be scaled down.

Mostly I didn’t like that the small ones were suddenly larger-than-life; I’m used to dinosaurs being big, so I would have loved the comparison against the life-sized small dinosaurs.

Not a huge thing, but the Virtual Reality simulator wasn’t dinosaur-themed , just thrill- and adrenaline-themed. Maybe there was a dino-themed option, but we got put on bungee, trill ride, and flying simulators. So I just didn’t really see the point of a non-dinosaur VR add-on.

Dino Safari: A Walk-Thru Adventure Tickets & Info

Location: Dino Safari: A Walk-Thru Adventure is currently on display in Las Vegas at the Horseshoe Hotel and Casino .

The experience takes about 60-90 minutes to walk through. It is a free-flowing experience, so you can take your time going through at your leisure.

Admission: Tickets for Dino Safari cost $20 for children ages 4-12 and $23 for adults 13+. You can get a Group discount, or add-ons like a Dino Fun Package, a Photo Package, a VIP Mystery Bag, or a Family Pack.

A complimentary audio guide accessible on a smart phone is available with your ticket. There are QR codes for you to scan on site that will take you to the audio tour. Feel free to bring your headphones.

Hours: Dino Safari is open daily from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Your tickets are valid for entry at any time during operating hours on your selected date.

Non-flash photography is allowed and encouraged.

What age is dino safari for.

I’d say Dino Safari is best for younger kids (especially those in their dinosaur era!). Adults can enjoy it, too, and the experience is appropriate for all ages. But elementary aged kids seem to enjoy it best.

How long is Dino Safari in Atlanta?

Dino Safari is no longer available in Atlanta. The experience is now located in Las Vegas at the Horseshoe Hotel & Casino.

How long do people spend at Dino Safari?

You can expect to spend 1 hour to 1.5 hours walking through Dino Safari.

Who needs a time machine when you can see more than 40 full-sized dinosaurs right here in metro Atlanta at North Point Mall?

ALPHARETTA, Ga. - A lot of kids dream of waking up on Christmas morning to find dinosaur toys under the tree. And sure, a model T. Rex or a stuffed Raptor is pretty awesome. 

But what if the holidays brought more than 40 full-sized dinosaurs to life, dropping them all under one roof for a day of prehistoric adventure and education?

Yeah, that sounds pretty awesome, too.

This morning, Good Day Atlanta spent the morning at "Dino Safari: A Walk Through Adventure," which opened at North Point Mall in Alpharetta in November. Produced by Imagine Exhibitions (the same company behind the popular "Downtown Abbey: The Exhibition," previously featured on Good Day Atlanta ), the limited-time experience allows visitors to stroll back in time, coming face-to-face (or, face-to-teeth!) with full-scale animatronic dinosaurs, which CEO Tom Zaller says were created with the input of paleontologist Dr. Gregory M. Erickson to ensure scientific accuracy. Along with the giant dinosaurs, the safari also features actual fossils, interactive games, and a dig pit.

Staffers say visitors should allow at least an hour for their visit; ticket prices start at $15 and are available online by clicking here . North Point Mall is located at 1000 North Point Circle in Alpharetta.

  Dino Safari: A Walk-Thru Adventure  has delighted families in the Metro Atlanta area since 2021 and is the perfect experiential family walk-through attraction for an engaging and educational escape. The exhibit is welcoming even more family fun, with extended hours for the summertime, starting May 29 and continuing through Sept. 4. Imagine Exhibitions  launched this dinosaur-filled indoor experience for local families and visitors to get up-close-and-personal with larger-than-life animatronic dinosaurs and the most fascinating, fan-favorite prehistoric inhabitants!  Dino Safari: A Walk-Thru Adventure  is open at North Point Mall in Alpharetta and tickets are on sale now at  DinoSafari.com . 

“If you have a dinosaur fan at home this is a must see for locals and tourists,” said Tom Zaller, CEO of Imagine Exhibitions. “See enormous animatronic dinosaurs, real fossils, interactive games, virtual reality, and incredible science, all in one place! Dino Safari is the perfect activity for dinosaur fans of all ages to become immersed in an entertaining and educational globetrotting dinosaur adventure.” 

In this walk-through adventure, visitors meet and interact with more than 30 dinosaurs including the T. rex of North America and the Spinosaurus from Africa. Built with fun in mind but backed by world class paleontologists, this exhibition has it all. With real science, incredible installations, and realistic moving animatronics, Dino Safari will transport visitors back millions of years to meet these prehistoric creatures in replicas of their natural habitats.

Located in North Point Mall on the upper level, the experience showcases how dinosaurs evolved over time and offers hands-on challenges for visitors to solve, along with depictions of natural elements that often occurred during this time, such as earthquakes. The thrilling adventure features captivating virtual reality technology, spectacular installations, and interactive activities for children. 

The exhibition was created by Atlanta-based Imagine Exhibitions in collaboration with world-renowned Ph.D. Dinosaur Paleontologist Gregory M. Erickson, who is one of only 150 full-time professional dinosaur paleontologists in the world. It’s currently exciting audiences in Boston, San Antonio and Las Vegas as well as Atlanta.
