Cruise the Daintree River (Julaymba) spotting wildlife on a quiet clean solar electric boat "Solar Whisper". Get closer to nature....hear, smell & experience without noise and fumes. Know that you have enjoyed seeing crocodiles & other wildlife without having any impact on it.

We have a high success rate* for spotting crocodiles, birding opportunities and other wildlife possibilities such as snakes, frogs, bats, crabs and fish. It is is a natural habitat, so every cruise is different.

Your experienced interpretive guide is accustomed to the nuances of the river, rain-forest and mangroves and can spot an incredible variety of wildlife that you would not necessarily see on your own. The boat is fitted with the unique "CROC CAM" to help show well camouflaged crocodiles & wildlife.

This is a small, family operated business practicing true Eco Tourism.

We offer 1 hour crocodile and wildlife spotting cruises plus other tour options and are located on the south bank near the car ferry.

Bruce Belcher’s Daintree River Cruises offer a one-hour wild life cruise. We are keen bird watchers and have a good eye for crocodiles and tree snakes, with crocodiles being spotted on 98% of trips, particularly in cooler months. We don't provide Daintree bird watching tours however the native bird life in the Daintree is abundant.

We operate Daintree tours from our home on the banks of the Daintree River in a secluded wildlife boutique facility.

Come and relax in our garden room, listen to the surrounding wildlife and enjoy a complimentary Daintree Tea or coffee before or after your Daintree cruises experience.

Peruse our tropical souvenir collection. Meander through our lush tropical garden to our private jetty to board our vessel for a personal guided tour with Bruce’s 32 years’ experience on the Daintree River.

In 1979, Michael and Jaki Turner established Crocodile Express on the Daintree River, the very first tourism operator in this unique region.

Crocodile Express is committed to the conservation of this ancient rainforest and mangrove habitat. Dean Clapp and his family acquired the popular river cruise in 1986 after moving to Far North Queensland from South Australia. Family owned property holdings of freehold rainforest in the Daintree River Valley are included in the UNESCO Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. Dean’s wife, Anja von Keyserlink and her family property holdings are also listed as nature refuges under voluntary agreement with the Queensland Government. From rare birds, flying foxes, bizarre insects and reptiles to electrically dazzling butterflies to the majestic Cassowary, it’s a verdant and rich rain forest teeming with life from its tall canopy tops to its damp shadowy undergrowth far beneath. From our wildlife cruise vessels you’ll also see a complex and vibrant river system full of rare fish and waterfowl as you drift through the Daintree’s extensive mangrove systems on the look out for the region’s most famed residents – the giant salt-water (estuarine) crocodile.

The Lower Daintree River Cruise from the Daintree Ferry crossing amongst explores the vast network of mud banks and mangroves and is guaranteed crocodile country with the waterways teeming with fish and bird life.

Founded on December 1, 1918 by N. E. Zhukovsky, the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute is the first aircraft design bureau in Russia. Central AeroHydrodynamic Institute is also referred to has TsAGI (Defined: Zhukovsky Central AeroHydrodynamic Institute). The institute's headquarters is currently in Zhukovsky, Russia and according to the institute, is the largest scientific research center in the world. The institute researches, tests and designs all types of aircraft from helicopters to jets and spacecraft. The institute has recently been researching, designing and testing electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for Urban Air Mobility (UAM).

Mark Ovsyannikov, Junior Researcher for Remotely Piloted Air Systems (TsAGI) and Konstantin Kosushkin, Division Head for Rotorcraft Aerodynamics and Dynamics (TsAGI) have developed concept designs for electric multicopters and both believe these are the most proposing electric aircraft for Urban Air Mobility and air cargo, in large Russian cities.

The Flying Taxi eVTOL multicopter is optimized for two to four passengers, have a range of just over 200 km (124 m), have 14 propellers, 14 electric motors with fixed skid-type landing gear. When seating is removed, the aircraft can hold approximately 200-500 kg (441-1,102 lb) of air cargo.

Computer simulations have been made to determine the aerodynamic characteristics of their eVTOL multicopter designs. As of the summer of 2021, there has been no mention if any prototype have been built or the timeline of when one will be built.
