CRUISE POLICIES

• No upstairs or downstairs requests
• Children under 2 years of age are not allowed
• In order to guarantee that your group can be seated together, please make sure to make just one reservation for your entire party. If members of your group make separate reservations, the activity provider cannot guarantee that you will be seated together.

Ticketholders should plan to arrive at least 45 minutes prior to departure. At that time, shuttles will begin transporting attendees from the Event Center entrance to Treasure Island Marina. Boarding will begin 30 minutes prior to departure time.

All sales for weekday cruises will close at 8am on the Tuesday prior to the selected cruise and all sales for weekend cruises will close at 8am on the Thursday prior to the selected cruise.

A minimum of 25 tickets must be sold for departure. If this threshold is not met, all ticketholders will be emailed a cancellation notice and automatic refunds will be issued. For special accommodations, please contact [email protected] .

Welcome aboard our St. Croix River boat cruise! Create lasting memories and experience the beauty of this National Parkway, the scenic St. Croix River. One of the many advantages of joining our crew for the day is that all our public boat cruises in Stillwater, MN, include a delightful lunch or dinner. It is important to note that all taxes, fees, and beverages are extra. Browse our menu below to see what we are serving on the day you come aboard. Here at Stillwater River Boats, we believe that a trip down the beautiful St. Croix River is perfect for any occasion, whether that be going out for lunch or dinner, exploring the area, or celebrating a special occasion. That said, advance reservations are REQUIRED. To make sure you have a relaxing ride, we recommend showing up early to guarantee that you have enough time to park and board the boat. All our guests are welcome to park in our guest lot, just south of the boarding area, or in a Stillwater public lot. Larger groups are encouraged to carpool. Take the DOWNTOWN HISTORIC STILLWATER exit off of HW 36.

Individuals, couples, families, friends, special occasions all enjoy our public cruises! For groups of 50 or more consider a private charter. Sorry, no group discounts are provided. We urge that you arrive EARLY the day of the cruise! Reservations REQUIRED, go directly to the boat with your entire group ready to check in with your emailed QR confirmation code.

Parking: Limited guest parking available – follow the “Boat Parking” signs located on the South end of Main Street public parking lot. Larger groups are encouraged to carpool. In addition, there are several Stillwater Public Parking areas nearby.

• Go directly to the designated boat with your entire group ready to check-in with your emailed QR confirmation code. The entire group must be present in order to check-in
• Allergy note: many foods are prepared fresh in our kitchens from raw ingredients. We cannot guarantee that cross-contact with allergens and gluten-containing products will not occur during preparation. Customers with allergies should exercise judgment in regard to their individual needs
• Please arrive at least 45 minutes prior to departure
• Confirmed reservations by advance purchase of tickets only.
• 30 people total minimum or trip will be canceled. In this case only, money will be refunded
• Taxes and fees are extra
• We cruise rain or shine – Refunds available up to 48 hours prior to cruise. Actual boat used for your cruise will be determined by Stillwater River Boats and is subject to change without notice

Tour the St. Croix with Stillwater River Boats

The 2022 season for Stillwater River Boats opened in May, and it’s by far one of the most popular things to do in Stillwater during the spring and summer months. All cruises include a meal (brunch, lunch, or dinner) in the ticket pricing. Expect traditional breakfast fare or a fully stocked sandwich bar during the daytime cruises and evening options ranging from roast beef, stuffed chicken, sides,  and a beautiful dessert selection. Alcoholic beverages are available as an add-on cost.

The two-hour excursions head up and down the scenic byway with beautiful views of the bridges in the area, rolling forested hills, and historical landmarks. The Saturday evening ride is the most romantic, as you’ll catch the sunset and the golden hour for spectacular photographs. Parking is limited at the lot for Stillwater River Boats, so even more reason to book your stay at Water Street Inn! We have ample guest parking available, and you can quickly head to the boat launch on foot. Be sure to arrive 45 minutes before the sailing to ensure your reservation.

King’s Cove Marina is a full-service family-owned marina in Hastings, MN that strives to provide a friendly environment for boaters to experience the boating lifestyle. King’s Cove offers slip rental in a safe and private harbor minutes away from the St. Croix and Mississippi Rivers, boat repair, boat sales, a boating store and boat rentals. We have been serving boating customers for 46 years. We are located at Mile 812.7 on the Upper Mississippi River.

William H. King and group of investors bought Red Wing Motors in Red Wing, MN in the 1950s, where they built Casa Cruiser house bouts with Red Wing Motors. Bill King would ride the train from Saint Paul where he lived to Red Wing every day to get to work. While riding back and forth on the train daily, Bill H. became aware of a small lake just off the main channel of the Mississippi River and right above the mouth of the St. Croix River called Lake Conley. Bill H. King envisioned something much greater for that little lake. He could see it as the perfect spot for a large marina in a well-protected harbor. In the 1960s, Bill H. started acquiring land and eventually ended up with 280 acres. He then applied for permits from the United States Corps of Engineers and the Minnesota Division of Natural Resources for the channel. Not long after that, the marina was granted the permits, and the channel was built.

In 1966, the Marina opened with about 100 slips. The largest slip available was only 50 feet. Over the years, the Marina continued to grow and undergo improvements and enhancements. Today there are over 480 slips at the Marina.

Your annual dockage rental includes summer dockage, water, 100 kWh/month of electricity, local television reception on most docks, fall haul-out, pressure washing of the boat’s hull, winter storage, and spring launch.

Our 9,000 square foot facility can handle any job from a simple tune-up to a major engine overhaul year-round.
