Terribly disappointed.

It was worse than a playback: they just played the album tracks with the lyrics, and Lovell wasn't even try to sing or pretend he was, he was just randomly shouting parts of the lyrics, never even making complete phrases, and with the intonation of a warm-up guy, not his characteristic deep and low tone voice.

I urge you to go on youtube and check what his live "performances" look like before buying tickets.

This show exceeded expectations. The opening DJ was great, his music selection really set the mood and brought the energy. I didn't know any of the opening acts but I enjoyed them and felt like they won me over. Night Lovell himself was great, he seemed a bit shy but the music was on point and he started to really open up as the audience began to really get into the performance.

This was the most fun I ever had in my life. Last night I had a great experience and enjoyed my life more than I ever did before. I couldn't express how fun being around the mosh pit was and just being in the environment as a whole. I'm very glad I had this experience!

Sick concert on a normal tuesday!

Finally got to see Night Lovell perform live after a cancelled concert in Amsterdam.

Great atmosphere and great music, I really enjoyed the moment.

Fire show and the energy was insane. I also stood next to Eem Triplin the entire time and had no idea. He got in a video with my girlfriend and I. Cool ass dude

Night Lovell ‘I Hope You’re Happy’ North American Tour to Include Several Southern California Dates

On December 8, last year, enigmatic Canadian rapper, songwriter, and record producer Night Lovell released his fifth studio album titled I Hope You’re Happy . In commemoration of the album’s launch, Lovell hosted a sold-out release party in Hollywood, California, signaling the initiation of his strategy to broaden and deepen his fan base. In additional support of the new album, which was released on G59 Records, Lovell has announced his plans to kick off a North American tour starting in February.

The I Hope You’re Happy tour is set to begin on February 2 in San Francisco, California, and wraps up on March 26 in Toronto, Canada. Along the tour, Lovell will be performing in Los Angeles , near where he held his album release party. Opening up for Lovell will be artists Haarper and fellow G59 labelmate, Germ

The release of I Hope You’re Happy is Lovell’s first studio album since his last release, Just Say You Don’t Care , which dropped in May 2021. The Ottawa native first announced the release of I Hope You’re Happy in an Instagram post on August 12, 2023. Nearly two months later, on October 9, Lovell officially announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he had completed recording the new album. Three days after the declaration, the rapper publicized the second lead single from the new record titled “My Day is Ruined !” The announcement came just one day before the track was officially released.

Lovell formally released the third single from the album, a collaborative track titled “Freak (Ft. Freddie Dredd)” on November 17, 2023. On the same day, the rapper also announced the release date of the full I Hope You’re Happy album via all of his social media accounts. The album features 12 brand-new tracks, all written and produced by Lovell. Apple Music released the track list, which includes:

Among the most notable cities on the tour are San Francisco, CA, Seattle, WA, Vancouver, BC, Salt Lake City, UT, Chicago, IL, Detroit, MI, Ottawa, ON, New York, NY, Washington DC, Houston, TX, Albuquerque, NM, Denver, CO, Las Vegas, NV, and, perhaps most notably, Los Angeles.  However, for those looking forward to seeing Lovell in LA , you have to wait until the end of the tour, as his LA performance is slated for Saturday, March 23.

Night Lovell Announces 'I Hope You're Happy' North American Tour

The Ottawa rapper included 4 Canadian dates on his tour: Vancouver, Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto.

Ottawa rapper Night Lovell is dropping his new album I Hope You're Happy tomorrow, and now he's announced a North American tour for 2024 in support of his latest release.

The I Hope You're Happy tour starts in San Francisco on Feb 2 and ends in Toronto on Mar 26. Canadian shows also include Vancouver on Feb 7, Montreal on Feb 24, and Ottawa on Feb 25.

He made the announcement on his Instagram page, telling fans tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. local. Haarper and Germ will open for Night Lovell on the tour.

Night Lovell has captured audiences with his deep voice and eerie production that intertwines the realms of darkness and artistry. Emerging from Ottawa, Lovell grew up being inspired by local musicians. Including his father whose middle name, Lovell, became an essential part of his stage name. The “Night” represents Lovell’s love for the nighttime, when he usually is up late creating music. Although Lovell grew up surrounded by music and playing the drums, his true music journey started at 17 when he decided to start following in his father’s footsteps. He started to make beats one summer but soon realized that he wanted to be on stage performing and connecting with his audience on a deeper level. He started to explore rapping over his own beats and putting a face to his music leading to his first release as Night Lovell, ‘Dark Light’, which has since become gold-certified. Lovell quickly started to gain recognition with his innate ability to craft a unique and captivating style that built him a loyal audience within the realms of dark trap and underground hip-hop. He continued to build momentum into 2014 as he released his first album, ‘Concept Vague’. Lovell then focused on making music as he graduated from high school. After graduating, Lovell embarked on his first solitary European tour where he was able to form an intimate connection with his audience. His fans proved themselves to be the craziest die-hard fans who knew the word to every song, even if they didn’t speak English. Lovell continued on to drop his second album ‘Red Teenage Melody’, which was followed by his first North American tour and another European solo tour. In early 2018, Lovell sent a song to $crim from $uicideboy$ that led to their first joint track, ‘Joan of Arc’, which was released during Lovell’s first Australian/New Zealand tour. As Lovell finished the tour, he prepared for his third studio album, ‘Goodnight Lovell’, which was released in 2019. Simultaneously, the ‘Night Lovell Rising Documentary’ was showcased at the Canadian Juno Awards. 2021 marked a significant turning point for Lovell as he signed with G59, the label founded by $uicideboy$, and released his album ‘Just Say You Don’t Care’. This release was accompanied by Lovell's biggest tour yet, the second Grey Day tour. Lovell continued to remain a prominent figure with a stream of singles, tours, and music videos as he prepared his next album. Anticipation has been building up for the release of Lovell’s forthcoming album, ‘I Hope You’re Happy’, which is slated to release at the end of 2023. The somewhat sarcastic title suggests an unapologetic reflection on the role that the world has played in shaping Lovell’s life. What sets this album apart from the others is Lovell’s experimentation with his sound, offering a fresh perspective and evolution in his music. ‘I Hope You’re Happy’ invites listeners to delve into the depths of Lovell’s emotions and experiences, both positive and negative, that have made him into who he is today.

The Rolling Stones have decided who will “Start Them Up” on tour this year.

However, unlike most tours, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers are mixing things up and bringing different opening acts to each city they’re hitting on the spring and summer  ‘The Stones Tour ’24 Hackney Diamonds.’

Just a few of the big names joining them include Gary Clark Jr. ( April 28 in Houston ), Joe Bonamassa ( May 15 in Seattle ), Tyler Childers ( June 3 in Orlando ), KALEO ( June 11 in Philadelphia ) and Lainey Wilson ( June 30 in Chicago ).

As for their MetLife Stadium gigs, pop-soul outfit Lawrence is slated to kick things off at their Sunday, May 26 concert ; no opener has been announced for the Thursday, May 23 show .

And if you’ve been on the fence about catching Mick, Keith and Ronnie live because you fear exorbitant ticket prices, we’re happy to report that some shows have cheaper seats available than one might imagine.

The Rolling Stones new music

On Oct. 20, the Stones released their 26th American studio album,  “Hackney Diamonds,”  featuring special guests Paul McCartney, Elton John, Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder.

Comprised of 12 hard-rocking tracks that wouldn’t be out of place alongside their singalong stadium anthems of yore, “Diamonds” shows that Mick, Keith and Ronnie still have their sticky fingers on rock and roll’s pulse.

“We wouldn’t have put this album out if we didn’t really like it,” Jagger, 80, told Jimmy Fallon. “We must say that we are quite pleased with it. We’re not big-headed but we hope you like it.”

Neil Young Launches Love Earth Tour: Set List and Video

Neil Young launched his 2024 Love Earth Tour with Crazy Horse in San Diego, California on Wednesday night.

Young performed a number of his classics, including “Cortez the Killer,” “Cinnamon Girl,” “Powderfinger” and “Heart of Gold.”

Young recently put out a new album with Crazy Horse, titled FU##IN’ UP, which was released on limited edition color vinyl on Record Store Day , April 20, and will get an all-format release on April 26.

“In the spirit it’s offered…made this for the Horse lovers,” Young previously said of the new record. “I can’t stop it. The horse is runnin’. What a ride we have. I don’t want to mess with the vibe. I am so happy to have this to share.”

Neil Young’s Next Stops

From here, Young will bring his tour to over two dozen American and Canadian cities, including his hometown of Toronto. He’ll perform in outdoor venues only, a precaution he decided to adopt following the pandemic.

“We gotta be careful,” Young said on a fan Zoom earlier this month [via Rolling Stone ]. “I don’t know the stats on it, but I imagine if you look at a regular group of 15,000 or 20,000 people, just randomly from around the world, and then look at 15,000 or 20,000 people that all went to a show, and how many of them got Covid, I think you’d found people that went to a show inside have a lot more of a chance of getting sick. I don’t really need to do that. Willie Nelson told me he’s only playing outside now. I felt that was a good idea, so that’s what I’m doing.”
