Is Sri Lanka 14-day tour right for you?

  • The entire trip is private (transfers and sightseeing); only you and your associates take part in the trip.
  • At 4 hours, the train ride from Kandy to Ella is the longest travel day. But the only reason you’ll want to get off this train is to charge your camera after what is basically a long, natural photoshoot.
  • The road from Ella to Tissa Lake winds down mountains to the coast, which means it can be frustratingly slow. It also means that you’ll get to see the awesome scenery from literally every angle.
  • This 14-day trip packs a lot. It’s one of the most popular Sri Lanka tours that we run in our original style, perfect for those who look for a one-week trip and have a desire to do the most with it. If you are after a more leisurely trip in Sri Lanka or a shorter trip, please check out our other tour itineraries.
  • Sri Lanka can get extremely hot in the summer. While we aim to do our walking tours and city tours early in the morning or afternoon, when it’s cooler, remember to keep water on you and to bring a hat, sunscreen, a long-sleeved shirt, and anything else that will protect you from the sun.
  • Part of traveling with Seerendipity means respecting local cultures and sensibilities. That way, you get the most out of your interactions with local people and environments. We visit a number of temples on this trip and to enter them, you must have clothes that cover your wrists and below the knee. Sometimes you have to remove the head covers and shoes upon entering the temple. Please click here to know more about the rules and regulations pertaining to Sri Lanka temple visits.

Colombo / negombo / anuradhapura / sigiriya.

Head to the fish market in Negombo this morning. This can be quite an intense affair, but the variety of fish being presented by the locals is a great experience.

Anuradhapura Anuradhapura with the recent excavations, the history goes back to the 8th C.BC. Or 2800 BP. However, legends take history more than 3000-5000 years. (Ramayana is one of them) at that time there were 04 tribes living in Sri Lanka. Kingdom lasted one thousand and five hundred years from 380BC. This city is home to many of the earliest and grandest monuments of Sri Lanka. A popular destination for the Sinhalese Buddhist pilgrimage because of its many ancient Buddhist monuments.

Anuradhapura has been made the royal capital by king Pandukabhaya in 380 BC. It remained the residence and royal capital for 119 successive Singhalese kings till the year 1000 AD when it was abandoned and the capital moved to Polonnaruwa. You will see some of the most famous as well as the tallest dagoba of Sri Lanka, remains from palaces, temples, monasteries, ceremonial baths and the temple of the holy Bo tree. This tree was grown from a Sapling of the very tree under which more than 2500 years ago the Buddha found enlightenment. You will visit all these places on our hop-on hop-off Anuradhapura City Tour.

• Ruwanwelisaya-It is a “stupa” that is built by King Dutugamunu and is one of the biggest completed ones to date. • Thuparamaya-It is the oldest ‘dagoba’ in Sri Lanka, and possibly the oldest visible one in the world. • Lovamahapaya-The significance of this building is that the roof was once covered in bronze tiles. • Abhayagiri-It is one of the biggest viharas in Anuradhapura. It was a monastery of 5000 monks. • Jethavanaramaya-It is a sacred world heritage site and accommodated some 3000 monks at the time. It is also quite similar to Abhayagiri. • Mirisavetiya-This stupa was built by King Dutugamunu after defeating King Elara. • Lankaramaya-This is also built by a king called King Valagamba in the Anuradhapura Kingdom times and is one of the eight sacred places in the city.

Aukana Buddha Statue The Avukana statue is considered to be one of the best examples of a standing statue of the Buddha from ancient Sri Lanka. The Avukana statue is a standing statue of the Buddha near Kekirawa in North Central Sri Lanka. The statue, which has a height of more than 46 feet (14 m), was carved out of a large granite rock face during the 5th century. It depicts a variation of the Abhaya mudra, and the closely worn robe is elaborately carved. Constructed during the reign of Dhatusena, it may have been made as a result of a competition between a master and a pupil. The Avukana statue is one of the best examples of a standing statue built in Sri Lanka. It is now a popular tourist attraction.

Mihintale Mihintale is a mountain peak near Anuradhapura. It is one of the oldest religious sites in the world dating back to the 2nd century BC. King Devanampiyatissa built it. Temple is now a pilgrimage site and the site of many important religious monuments and abandoned structures such as an Ayurveda hospital.

Heinz E Müller-Dietz (Historia Hospitalium 1975) describes the hospital of Mihintale as being perhaps the oldest in the world.

Sigiriya Sigiriya is located in the central Matale District near the town of Dambulla of the Central Province, Sri Lanka. The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 meters (660 ft) high. According to the ancient Sri Lankan chronicle the Culavamsa the site was selected by King Kasyapa (477 – 495 CE) for his new capital. He built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colourful frescoes. On a small plateau about halfway up the side of this rock, he built a gateway in the form of an enormous lion. The name of this place is derived from this structure —Sīhāgiri, the Lion Rock. The capital and the royal palace were abandoned after the king's death. It was used as a Buddhist monastery until the 14th century.

Later, early afternoon visit Polonnaruwa historical city. The Polonnaruwa city tour lasts around 2 hours.

Polonnaruwa Polonnaruwa is the second most historical city in Sri Lanka. It was made the capital of Sri Lanka after Anuradhapura. The second most ancient of Sri Lanka's kingdoms, Polonnaruwa was first declared the capital city by King Vijayabahu I, who defeated the Chola invaders in 1070 to reunite the country once more under a local leader.

Today the ancient city of Polonnaruwa remains one of the best-planned archaeological relic sites in the country, standing testimony to the discipline and greatness of the Kingdom's first rulers. Its beauty was also used as a backdrop to film scenes for the Duran Duran music video Save a Prayer in 1982. The ancient city of Polonnaruwa has been declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO.

The images consist of a large seated figure, another smaller seated figure inside an artificial cavern, a standing figure and a reclining figure. Kandy / Nuwara Eliya

This morning, say goodbye to Kandy as you hop on a train for around 4 hours to Nuwara Eliya. It’s a kinda long trip, but you can buy all sorts of yummy treats from the onboard sellers. Upon reaching Nuwara Eliya check-in at the hotel and leisure. Once you've dropped off your luggage, perhaps head out for a visit to a local tea factory. If this doesn't take your fancy, go for dinner in one of the many local restaurants and bars. In teh afternoon Nuwara Eliya city tour.

Hill country train journey The hill train trip country is an opportunity to see some of the finest scenery in Sri Lanka's hill country. The landscape beyond the track is truly dazzling. The lush mountain vistas dominated every inch of the journey.

The hill country train trip is one of the world’s most beautiful train trips, the seven hour-journey passes through tea estates dotted with workers in brightly coloured saris, pine forests, waterfalls, mountains, and gorges. The railway, built by the British in 1864 to transport tea and coffee from the Hill Country to the capital, Colombo, is now one of the best ways to explore the villages, towns, and national parks along the way.

Tea factory On a tea plantation visit, you can learn about tea picking and processing and enjoy some fine Sri Lankan tea tasting. It’s probably a much more exciting prospect if you’re a tea lover, but even if you’re not, the Hill Country (or Tea Country, as it’s sometimes called) is arguably the most scenic part of the island and worth a visit.

You’ll find rolling hills clad with row upon row of luscious, green tea plants. It’s often shrouded in a fine mist and is the perfect escape from the heat of Sri Lanka’s wonderful beaches (if you need an escape!).

Nuwar Eliya city walk A walking tour of Nuwara Eliya involves scenic views of Sri Lanka's forested hills. One can take a stroll around the tea plantations and visit the many different sightseeing places around. It is known as 'Little England', and has old buildings with colonial and Tudor architecture, making it a pleasant place for walking around. The town also has many historical sites and temples, that are valuable to different cultures. This town is the perfect place walka relax, rewind, and get a taste of different cultures, spanning a few kilometres.

Nuwara Eliya / Ella / Yala

After breakfast venture out onto Ella Gap, mini-Adams peak and the nine-arch bridge this morning. We'll stop in a small mountain village for a spicy curry lunch and a pot of Ceylon tea. This is an excellent way of getting to know the area and a great opportunity to rub shoulders with the locals. In the afternoon drive to the hotel in Yala.

Evening a visit to the Kataragama temple, which is the most popular temple in southern Sri Lanka.

Historical Sita temple Sita Amman Temple is located approximately 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) from Hakgala Botanical Garden and 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from Nuwara Eliya. The temple is located in the village of Sita Eliya (also known as Sita Eliya). This place is believed to be the site where Sita was held captive by Asur Samrat (Devil King) Ravana, and where she prayed daily for Rama to come and rescue her in the Hindu epic, Ramayana. On the rock face across the stream are circular depressions said to be the footprints of Lord Hanuman.

Nine arch bridge The nine arch Bridge is considered one of the great sites in railway engineering. The nine arch bridge is located just a couple of kilometres from the Ella holiday resort near the Ella railway station. It is one of teh very popular sites in Ella and it is on the bucket list of every tourist, who visits Ella on their trip. The nine-arch bridge is a masterpiece of colonial-era construction. The construction was completed in 1921 during the British colonial era. The bridge is 100 meters long and rises up to 33 meters from the valley below. The awe-inspiring views from the highrise bridge take the travellers by surprise. The architecture of the nine-arch bridge is masterminded by a local constructor from Welimada, a small town a few kilometres down the road.

Buduruwagala temple Buduruwagala is an ancient Buddhist temple in southern Sri Lanka. The complex consists of seven statues and belongs to the Mahayana school of thought. The statues date back to the 10th century. The gigantic Buddha statue still bears traces of its original stuccoed robe and a long streak of orange suggests it was once brightly painted. The centre of the three figures to the Buddha's right is thought to be the Buddhist mythological figure-the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. To the left of this white-painted figure is a female figure in the thrice-bent posture, which is thought to be his consort-Tara.

Kataragama temple Kataragama temple, Sri Lanka, is a temple complex dedicated to the Buddhist guardian deity Kataragama devil and Hindu War God Murugan. It is one of the few religious sites in Sri Lanka that is venerated by the Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims and the Vedda people. For most of the past millennia, it was a jungle shrine very difficult to access; today it is accessible by an all-weather road. The shrines and the nearby Kiri Vehera are managed by Buddhists, the shrines dedicated to Teyvāṉai and Shiva are managed by Hindus and the mosque by Muslims.

Accommodation Hotel in Yala Included Activities Yala/Bundala National Park - Wildlife safari Meals Included Breakfast, dinner, picnic lunch Special Information

Tourism in Sri Lanka is booming, and with it has come to a huge increase in visitors to Yala National Park. Over tourism and lack of sustainable management practices have become a major concern for us in continuing to visit Yala. In order to reduce our impact on wildlife and the environment, we are trialling visiting a less touristic section of Yala, known as Block 5. Should we determine that high tourist numbers at Block 5 also make it difficult to continue visiting responsibly we will change our itinerary to visit Udawalawe National Park, where wild elephants, wild buffalo, sambar deer and leopards also reside.

From September through October when Yala National Park has closed annually for infrastructure development and rejuvenation we go on a jeep safari in Udawalawe National Park. Udawalawe is home to wild elephants, wild buffalo, sambar deer and leopards.

Once settled, you'll head out on a jeep safari where you'll come across the area's native wildlife such as elephants, leopards and aquatic birds. This is an amazing experience that you'll never forget. After your day in nature soak in the view from the lovely hotel pool overlooking lake Tissa.

Yala / Galle

After the leisurely breakfast at your hotel in Yala head to a beach resort in Galle, southern Sri Lanka. You will be stopping at a few places before arriving at your hotel in Galle.

Mirissa Mirissa is famous for Blue Whales and tourists have seen them throughout the years although whales consider migrating mammals. while blue whales are around here most days Bryde's whales and fin whales also recorded a few days in each month. Sperm whale pods are seen in Mirissa mostly in a few days only in march and April. killer whales and short-finned pilot whales are also spotted from time to time.

Turtle conservation center Projects have been launched to conserve the population of turtles that are reaching extinction and such projects are found along the southern coast of Sri Lanka where turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. The turtle digs a hole on the Beach, Lays her eggs and covers it with sand where it is supposed to, incubate by the heat of the sun. What often happens is, the eggs are dug out by fishermen and sold to people who consume them.

But now the eggs are bought up by the conservation projects and are hatched the Natural way in enclosed areas where the Birds don’t have a chance of picking them up and the babies are let into the sea after two days at night time which offers them a better chance of survival.

City of Galle Galle is one of the ancient seaports of Sri Lanka and was an anchor point in the Silk Route. It was later discovered by the Portuguese where they built a fortress and the Dutch that succeeded them fortified it further. This fortress is today a World Heritage Site.

Stop at stilt fishermen Stilt Fishing is a traditional and unique style of fishing practised by local fishermen in Sri Lanka, especially on the southern coast. With a perfect balance and an insurmountable amount of patience, fishermen perch themselves on cross-shaped beams and wait for their catch of the day! Your driver/guide stops in Ahnagma allowing you to have a closer look into the stilt fishermen, and perhaps try this unique fishing method on your own.

Galle Fort The fort has a colourful history, and today has a multi-ethnic and multi-religious population. The heritage value of the fort has been recognized by UNESCO and the site has been inscribed as a cultural heritage UNESCO World Heritage Site under criteria iv, for its unique exposition of "an urban ensemble which illustrates the interaction of European architecture and South Asian traditions from the 16th to the 19th centuries.

An amazing journey to Sri Lanka. tours to Sri Lanka with a private driver and guide that are ten days long and well-planned. Everything about the Sri Lanka tour that we booked, the premium version, was excellent. It was a wonderful trip.

Marian – February 7, 2024 :

One of the best ways to see the world is on a splendour tour, where you can savour local cuisine, meet friendly locals, and relax in verdant settings. Kumar, our driver/guide, was an amazing, entertaining, and helpful guy. Spectacular surprises, including new activities and delicious food, would pop up on a regular basis. The stunning beaches and strolls through the tea plantations were the highlights.

Sean – December 23, 2023 :

Fantastic 10 days trip to Sri Lanka with a well-plnned schedule full of cultural activities and sights to visit. Would heartily advise visiting this incredibly picturesque nation. It is exhausting; I don’t believe we ever stayed up past 10 p.m. any night. Make sure you take advantage of the hot air balloon experience if you get the chance; it’s really incredible. I heartily endorse this experience. What can I say, then? Better than I had anticipated. Having a personalized tour guide was fantastic. Ladip was a pleasure to be around. What a kind person you are. So cautious and detail-oriented. He constantly made sure we were secure and okay. His historical understanding of the area and the nation was excellent. He is an absolute gentleman and an expert in his field. Being with him and learning from him was a delight. He contributed to the wonderful birthday celebration for my wife. I give credit to your firm, he is.

Very nice 10 day tri[p

Maree – December 10, 2023 :

Sri Lanka 14-day tour encompassed a wide range of the island, including ancient ruins, breathtaking cave paintings, picturesque hill country, and beaches. However, our highlight was the safari that was included in the package and took place in Yala National Park, where we were able to observe a substantial number of elephants and a pair of affectionate leopards. December travel conditions were favorable for our excursion.

Fiala – December 3, 2023 :

We took the Sri Lanka grand tour at the end of November and it was fantastic. Our Tour Guide Jaga was very knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. The information he provided on Sri Lanka throughout the two weeks helped us to enjoy a beautiful county, understand the history, and respect the culture. The Itinerary was busy at times, which we found to be fine, and the free time allowed us to explore by ourselves towards the tail end. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this trip to anyone wishing to explore Sri Lanka.

Brizzy – November 28, 2023 :

An incredible opportunity to discover the splendour of Sri Lanka, with its rich culture, breathtaking natural scenery, fascinating historical past, and delectable regional cuisine.

Excellent Sri Lanka tour with Gimhan! In addition to relaxing on the pristine beaches, we travelled to many interesting temples, cultural sites, national parks, tea plantations and travelled on a local train which was a great experience. We visited places that were not the most common tourist attractions, but also “must see” places. Big recommendation for the Seerendipity tours!

Overall experience is good. However this 14 days tour could be much better if there had been more time relax during the trio. We visted couple of dozens of temple and historical places on the first few days. There is plenty of time relax towards the middles and end of the trip. Beach hotel was fantastic and excellent place to relax, no disturbances at all. Tour was well organized with good hotels, food, vehicle and friendly guide.

joann – November 26, 2022 :

David – October 12, 2022 :

I had a doubt about the safety in Sri Lanka before i book the trip. but on the very first day we felt that it was safe in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka people are very frindly and helpful. Due to the financial crisis some places such as restaurants, bars, hotels are closed, but many of those that are open, are giving their all to make your journey amazing. The fuel crisis is still visible, but for tourists exceptions and priorities are made. Sri Lanka has very beautiful nature and wildlife 🌬 🐘 🌳 – The amazing food, delicious and cooked with love and passion 🤤 – The friendly, welcoming and helpful Sri Lankans 🤗 Such a joy to be around the locals ☺️ Everythign perfectly organized and we were given a wonderful personal guise Sammy, who did a great job on behalf of his country. Do it. You won’t regret it. I feel like I got to see so much in 2 weeks on top of that was relaxing on the beach. The tour itself was very relaxing, but we covered so much ground and saw so much each day. The sea was not that much supportive of our beach stay and rarely got a chance to swim in the sea. But swam a lot in the pool. Wonderful experience!

Goswami – April 6, 2022 :

This tour was an excellent despite the challenging time for Sri Lankan economy and people. It seemed that the people were have a bad time with the rising cost of living. Incredible local trip organizer, who knows the art of organizing memorable trip for travellers. Everything perfectly planned with good hotels, food, sightseeing, transportation. We had the most amazing adventure with Seerendipity and would like to personally thank Gayan who was our guide for two weeks.

Tailor – November 29, 2021 :

Do it. You won’t regret it. I feel like I got to see so much in a week. It’s not a ‘relaxing’ pace, but we covered so much ground and saw so much each day. Wonderful experience!

Mary – November 22, 2021 :

Bhanu was an excellent tour leader and he made the trip special & more enjoyable.

Kathrien – November 17, 2021 :

This was my first trip to Sri Lanka and because of this experience with Shantha as our tour guide I can’t wait to return . Shantha was extremely professional and attentive to each of our family and we could ask him anything . He was also calm , kind and relaxed which helped all of us to enjoy the trip.

Yazinta – November 16, 2021 :

This whole trip was a whirlwind from start to finish. Even though it was a 2 weeks tour, I felt like it was jam packed, especially in the beginning of the trip. Towards the latter part of the tour, however, we had time to relax and enjoy. The whole process with local tour operator (seerendipity) was seamless and the customer service we received was second to none. This is a great way to see Sri Lanka, 10/10 recommend.

Avrel – November 12, 2021 :

Had a wonderful tour with Seerendipity. Sri Lanka is such a beautiful country and our wonderful guide made sure all our needs were met and that our trip was a memorable one. I will definitely travel travel to Sri Lanka again.

Excellent tour itienrray to explore the island with leisure

Melisha – March 3, 2021 :

Sri Lanka grand tour was a fantastic way to see the country. We travelled with an well experinced guide and our guide made trip a truly memorable experience. Gayan, our guide, was extremely accommodating to all of us and had a vast knowledge. He gave us experiences we wouldn’t have known about if we travelled independently. A wonderful way to see Sri Lanka!

Anne mattos – February 10, 2021 :

The style of this trip is exceptional. It includes many aspects of this fascinating island such as temple, palaces, wildlife parks, beaches, cities, beautiful country side and many more. We enjoyed the trip a lot and our guide gimhan did a fantastic job made it very enjoyable trip for us. Despite there had been number of new covid cases we felt very safe with Seerendipity tours. They had organized the trip with only Level-1 hotels and they were following the safety protocols giving very safe environment for travellers. It was fantastic trip and very affordable too.

Alocius – February 3, 2021 :

What a great trip ititnerray to see Sri Lanka. There is a good mix of archaeology, religious temples and beaches. It is hard to pick our favourite part, but walking in the tea plantations has to be up there so is the leisure on the pristine beaches. Our guide was excellent and very helpful. The leader had good information and support and managed the trip well. Highly recommend this trip.

Mewan – November 3, 2020 :

We had great time with kids on the Sri Lankan grand tour. Saw lots, did lots and all made very easy by the seerendipity team. We rarely book this type opf family trips and looked forward to have a nice time. Our guided (Silva) was fantastic and always in hand if we needed anything.

Samy – August 11, 2020 :

Good hotels, good food and excellent guide, who drives very carefully. Full day yala safari, hike at Sigiriya, 3 days relaxation on the pristine beaches… everything was unique and memorable experince. most places are still empty and tourist attractions are lack of travellers.

Shina Levis – July 2, 2020 :

Never had such a great trip. Our first trip since the ease of COVID-19 restrictions. I take this opportunity to thank Sanjeev and Seerendipity for giving us a fantastic service and a special rate on the trip. It is good to know that they offer special rates for diplomats working in Sri Lanka. Sincerely this is the first time I came across this type of privilege.

Rania jilinova – March 28, 2020 :

Excellent Sri Lanka trip! The trip was very well organized with good hotels, transport and sites. Very frendly guide! We enjoyed the trip a lot in the first week, however, the government of Sri Lanka closed all the toruist places suddenly due to the COVID19 and we missed few places including wildlife park. However, we are happy with the trip.

juji Ueno – March 22, 2020 :

I cannot recommend this fabulous Sri Lanka trip high enough from the moment I logged on to their website until the last day of our trip. Just do it – you won’t be disappointed.

Tasha – March 12, 2020 :

Jason – February 1, 2020 :

Marvopuls Sri Lanka trip with very affordable rate

Sini das – January 19, 2020 :

Srilanka grand tour gave a great taste of what the island has to offer. excellent service, delicious food, comfortable accommodation and friendly driver/guide. Everything was beyond our expectations. As a family with kids, we felt safe during the entire trip. Special thanks go to our driver/guide sam, who was very friendly and tolerated all the mischievous activities of our kids.

David O,Leary – January 15, 2020 :

Overall one of the best trips if you want to see the important toruist sites of Sri Lanka over a short amount of time in a well organised manner. Mix of touristy activities, shopping with some more authentic experiences, and plenty of leisure, which I enjoyed most. My only advice would be to factor in the tipping at the end of the trip (which felt quite compulsory rather than optional) and the fact that there isn’t a lot of down time/time to explore by yourself… The trip is very minutely coordinated and sometimes I felt I wasn’t able to stretch my travelling legs. If you are looking for an active trip, this isn’t it! this is a very relaxing and luxury trip.

Ilia Jabez – January 10, 2020 :

For people who like privacy and independence, this is it. A dedicated driver/guide with a comfortable vehicle at your service. It gives you security and enables easy comfortable and interesting travel adventures. This tour offers a chance to collect experiences and learn about fascinating cultures and places without any hassle.

Rowander – December 29, 2019 :

Sri Lanak grand tour totally delivered and was above our expectations, Silva (our guide) was exceptional making this a safe journey and we now have a great love for Sri Lanka and its people

Abdi Masih – December 12, 2019 :

Excellent Sri Lank trip, good food, nice vehicle, an excellent guide and memorable experince

Kevin Soloman – December 10, 2019 :

A great introduction to Sri Lanka covering all the major sights whilst getting to go “off-piste” at times.

Atasha Ivanova – December 2, 2019 :

I thoroughly enjoyed the 14 days tour in Sri Lanka. The itinerary offered an excellent blend of the vibrant Sri Lankan citieslike Colombo, Galle, Kandy and hill country, and charming counbtryside of soiuthern Sri Lanka. Highlights of the trip included being awed by the anceint monuments in Sigiriy, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla and anuradhapura. Wildlife safari was fantastic, learning about Sri Lankan cuisine at a cooking class in Yala and experiencing lunch with a local family was brilian. I am most grateful to our excellent driver/guide Thusal, he was a great companion to us and did far more than what he had to do as guide. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a unique and memorable experience. I would highly recommend this trip!

Quda Reda – November 11, 2019 :

A excellent Sri Lanka trip that shows you so much of the area and doesn’t shy away from things, there is the splendor of the Sigiriya rock but also the social difficulties faced by the country now

Wilfred ponzo – November 2, 2019 :

Srilanka grand tour touch a diverse section of the island, from ancient ruins, amazing cave paintings, picturesque hill country, beach, but the highlight for us was doing a safari into Yala national park (included in the package) where we saw a large number of elephants and pair of loving leopards. Our trip was blessed by good weather as we travelled in december.

Daniela Musadique – October 19, 2019 :

Great srilanka trip to see the beautiful island and most importnaty have a peaveful rest

Albarran – October 19, 2019 :

well-crafted Sri Lanka trip and very well executed. Fast-paced, but a good balance of planned activities and free time. A great way to see this tropical island. The accommodations are perfectly comfortable for westerners. Our guide, Chamila is a rock star. In December/January, Sri Lanka is very hot and best for beach holidays.

Jina mattelweng – September 11, 2019 :

Grabnd tour was fabulous and classic. A good mix of mainstream tourist sites and those not so mainstream that made it more authentic. I got to experience things I would not have if I’d tried to self organise this trip. Great local tour guide and driver – lots of different transport modes and done great accomodation. A few long travel days but so worth it.

SElina MacDonald – August 18, 2019 :

Last minute my BF and I booked a 14 days Sri Lanka trip with Seerendipity and we really had no time to plan. Malan was our driver/guide but more like our uncle showing us around Sri Lanka. He adjusted to our every need, protected us from getting “attacked” by Tourguides at Sigiriya, kept us on good time, found the best local places for 250rupee rice and curry lunches, kept us motivated at the 4.30am wake up for Horton PlainsYala national park safari, laughed with us when went for High Tea sweaty dressed in dirty sports clothes, took us shopping at local stores for supplies we needed and hunted the best pineapples with us – he was there for us at all hours of the day! Our tour was fantastic thanks to Malan and Seerendipity.

Shabih Vaghese – August 10, 2019 :

My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the grand tour of Seerendipity. Our guide Gayan was fantastic and had excellent recommendations when it came to food, shopping and experiences. On the first day in Colombo (before the tour had started), we met Gayan at teh airport and he brought us to the pegasus reef hotel and give us some recommendations for things to do that day. We were extremely impressive with Gayan’s attentiveness and enthusiasm. The trip gave us a wonderful insight into srilanka culture, food, nature and traditions and we loved every moment of it. We would absolutely recommend this srilanka 14 days tour to anyone wanting to visit srilanka.

Sara – August 5, 2019 :

Amazing trip with fantastic accommodation, food and friendly driver/guide

Zam Nuruzzasama – August 3, 2019 :

Wow! What can I say. Grand tour is one of the best trips I have ever booked. I have left a piece of my heart in this beautiful tropical nation and it has only left me hungry to explore some of the places I missed in north and east. The trip was a fantastic option for travellers, who like privacy and comfort at an affordable rate. Our guide Chamil was fantastic! He informed us of the who, what wheres and when’s in advance. Our enjoyment and safety were clearly a number one priority throughout the two weeks. He was massive help with my dietary and medical requirements and all without making a fuss. Thank you Seerendipity and thank you Srilanka.

Plesir Nasry – July 22, 2019 :

The grand tour does cover more than 3/2 of the island and it gives you a wonderful opportunity to discover important historical monuments, natural tourist attractions, wildlife hotspots. SriLanka is an amazing country with a mix of cultures and traditions that represent the great variety and complexity of the SriLankan nation. In two short weeks, grand tour will take you from the busy streets of pettah and the wider avenues of Colombo and on to cultural triangle’s magnificent Sigiriya rock palace. Moving on travelers will arrive at the dynamic tooth temple and wonderful bazaars of Kandy are especially distinguished for its precious stones….

Blake petrova – July 10, 2019 :

Steve – March 4, 2019 :

Sri Lanka 14 days tour touch a diverse section of the country, from ancient ruins, amazing cave paintings, tea plantations, beach, but the highlight for me was doing a safari into Yala park, where we saw a big herd of elephants, leopard and ma ny other creatures. The weather was a bit wet but we managed to cover all of the itinerary bar the first day of the hike which was mostly uphill & lots of steps, not relatively flat like the itinerary said.

Maha Hussain – February 17, 2019 :

Jeena Kurup – August 12, 2017 :

I felt this 14 days trip was poor value for money due to the locations we stayed in (we booked 4-star category hotels). I also felt the tour guide had been let down by misleading information in the trip notes which meant we expected more from the Included activities. Having said that the tour guide was excellent and so enthusiastic about his country. Sri Lanka is a beautiful country and I felt very safe there with the people being so welcoming and helpful
