Les Misérables arena tour – cast dates and performers for European shows confirmed

The eagerly-anticipated  Les MIsérables  arena tour is now in rehearsals ahead of initial performances in Belfast!

A major celebration of the iconic musical (which is due to celebrate its 40th anniversary next year), the arena tour will be stopping off in UK cities before visiting further European countries over the next few months, before heading across multiple continents. Think of it like the Eras Tour but for fans of iconic musical theatre.

With that in mind (and bear in mind all dates are subject to change), here are the dates that all the principal performers are performing at, across both continental European cities and the various UK spots.

Alfie Boe – Jean Valjean

Valjean vet Alfie Boe will appear on the following dates (in 2024 and into 2025):

• Belfast:  19, 20 and 21 Sep at 7.30pm and 25, 26, 27 and 28 Sep at 7.30pm

The Utilita Arena (formerly the Newcastle Arena, Telewest Arena and Metro Radio Arena) is a sports and entertainment arena in the city of Newcastle upon Tyne, North East England, United Kingdom. Owned and operated by the SMG Europe and sponsored by Utilita Energy, it hosts music, entertainment, sports & business events. Having also had various professional basketball and ice hockey teams as tenants for much of its history, since 2009 it has had no ice hockey team after the departure of the Newcastle Vipers to the Whitley Bay Ice Rink, and no basketball team since the departure of the Newcastle Eagles to Northumbria University's Sport Central arena in 2010.

The British comedian’s Mortality tour will play UK venues from October 2024 to January 2024

Known not just for his stand-up but for legendary TV shows like Extras and The Office , Ricky Gervais is one of the UK ’s most popular and successful comedians. And if you’ve always wanted to catch his live show, today’s your lucky day: Gervais has just announced a huge UK stand-up tour.

Ricky Gervais’s Mortality tour will feature a brand-new show and see him play nearly a dozen dates across the country. As you may have guessed from the title, the show is about death (and life, obvs), with Gervais saying about it: ‘We’re all gonna die. May as well have a laugh about it. Mortality looks at the absurdities of life. And death. Bring it on.’

Here’s everything you need to know about seeing Ricky Gervais’s Mortality tour in the UK, from dates to ticket prices.

When is Ricky Gervais going on tour?

The Mortality tour will start in October 2024 (yep, in just a few weeks) and last until January 2025.

General sale goes live on Friday September 27 at 10am – you’ll be able to buy on Ticketmaster here .

There’s a presale on Wednesday September 25 at 10am, though it’s only available to O2 Priority members, and subscribe and save customers of vodka brand Dutch Barn Vodka.

Another Live Nation presale will take place on Thursday September 26 at 10am.

Prices haven’t yet been confirmed for all shows. For the Birmingham Utilita Arena gig, prices will start from £51.50 – expect the other tour dates to be similarly priced.

Ricky Gervais is set to bring his new stand-up comedy show to Newcastle's Utilita Arena. The comedy legend, who is known for hit TV shows like The Office and Afterlife, is coming to the North East in November.

Gervais took to X to announce the first set of 11 dates for the show, which is titled 'Mortality'. A performance during the upcoming tour will also be filmed to become the Reading-born comic's latest Netflix special.

This tour continues what has been a very busy year for the comedian, as he has performed 80 work-in-progress shows in 2024. His last stand-up special, titled 'Armageddon', won a Golden Globe, and earned him the world record for the highest grossing comedy gig of all time.

In a brief statement, Gervais said: "We’re all gonna die. May as well have a laugh about it. Mortality looks at the absurdities of life. And death. Bring it on."

Ricky Gervais: Mortality at Newcastle's Utilita Arena takes place on November 7 2024, and tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday September 27. For full details and to purchase tickets, visit the Ticketmaster website here.
