Description [ ]

The song is about the popular American sitcom The Office .

At One Spectacular Night , Ryan said this about the song:

"So for this next song, when we wrote it and we told our friends what we wrote the song about, they all kinda laughed, and then they heard the song, and they all kinda cried. And we were like "ooh, what a cool thing, that something can make you laugh and then cry, and then laugh because you were so emotionally moved about something that made you laugh at first". It was a big moment for us. So, anyway, this is a song called Netflix Trip."

Plus, Netflix has an impressive movie catalog that includes some of the most beloved travel films out there. That’s why I decided to create this roundup. Keep reading to find out what are the best travel movies on Netflix!

Best Travel Movies On Netflix - Eat Pray Love

1. Eat, Pray, Love (2010)

This movie is an absolute classic! Not only is this story filled with beautiful landscapes, but it’s also quite moving. It’s based on a true story, so you’re for sure getting the real deal here. The plot follows a freshly divorced woman, Liz, as she embarks on a 9 month-long trip to find herself. The story kicks off in New York but Liz travels to Italy, India, and Bali on this self-discovery journey. It’s fast-paced (only about an hour and a half long) and filled with travel motivation. As you can probably tell, this movie is as inspiring as it gets!

Best Travel Movies On Netflix - Lion

2. Lion (2016)

This is another touching film based on true events. It’s the story of Brierley, who got lost and separated from his parents at only 5 years old. He ended up on the other side of his home country, India, and never saw them again, getting adopted later and moving to Australia. But the story kicks off when Brierley decides to go on a journey to find them! The movie will take you on a heart-wrenching journey across India and Australia. It lasts almost two hours, so get cozy!

Chasing Liberty movie

3. Chasing Liberty (2004)

For anyone longing for a 2000’s rom-com after two emotional films, I’ve got you! This is such a feel-good type of movie that it’s perfect for anyone stuck at a boarding gate, bus terminal, or rainy day when camping ! The story follows the daughter of the President of The United States as she steps off on a European adventure to rebel against the constant security imposed on her. It’s got European travel destinations, 2000’s nostalgia, and romance!

Expedition Happiness movie

4. Expedition Happiness (2017)

If you want to check out some of the best United States road trip destinations , then this film is for you!  Expedition Happiness follows a German couple as they set off on a road trip across the USA, Mexico, and Canada. They explore all of North America with their dog and a converted school bus. The views are spectacular and will definitely inspire you to travel!  It lasts 96 minutes and will convince you to pack your bags before you even get to watch half of it!

Best Travel Movies On Netflix - Mamma Mia

5. Mamma Mia (2008)

Another outstanding classic! I couldn’t leave Mamma Mia out of this list, especially when it’s such an uplifting and comforting film. The story takes place on a Greek island ( anyone else longing for some sun right now?) and follows a young woman named Sophie who’s about to get married. She wants her father to be there but doesn’t know who she is. So Sophie invites all three of her potential dads to the wedding! It’s a true rollercoaster of a film. Plus, it’s a musical, so there’s even more to love about it!

Best Travel Movies On Netflix - Ibiza

6. Ibiza (2018)

Okay, so this movie is pretty much a rulebook for what NOT to do on a business trip. Which makes it all that much more fun and enjoyable! The plot follows Harper, a 30-year-old woman from NYC who travels to Barcelona for work. But (of course) everything goes off track when she meets a handsome DJ! It’s only an hour and a half long, so you can definitely squeeze it in the middle of any busy day!

The Fundamentals of Caring

7. The Fundamentals of Caring (2016)

Alright, we’re back to the moving travel movies category. For real now, this is the ultimate road trip movie! It follows the story of Ben, a writer turned caregiver in charge of a teenager with muscular dystrophy, Trevor. As the boy loves American roadside attractions, Ben convinces his mother to go on a road trip across the country. It’s an emotional film packed with views of the open road!

Best Travel Movies On Netflix - The Terminal

8. The Terminal (2004)

Pretty much everyone and their mother knows this is a great movie. This commercial success follows the ordeal of an Eastern European man stranded inside of New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport because his passport is no longer valid. But the same reason why they won’t let him in is the same reason why he can’t leave: his country suffered a military coup and his life would be in danger. So he stays there, making a terminal his new home as he waits for asylum. This is a classic and you should not miss it!

Best Travel Movies On Netflix - Casino Royale

9. Casino Royale (2006)

James Bond films are always quite the show! They’re bound to make you have fun while traveling. This one follows Bond as he is earning his license to kill and is involved in a high-stakes poker game at the Casino Royale, Montenegro. The movie was shot in the Czech Republic, the Bahamas, Italy, and the United Kingdom. So you’ll see lots of different places!

Best Travel Movies On Netflix - Amelie

10. Amelie (2001)

If you’ve ever longed for a trip to Paris, then this movie is for you! The story follows Amelie, a girl whose childhood was conditioned by her mistakenly diagnosed heart condition. As she barely got any real-life interactions with people, she resorted to her own fantasy world that resulted in a vivid imagination even as an adult. Her life changes when she moves to Paris and that’s where this story begins. It’s a cinematic masterpiece and a very acclaimed film!

Best Travel Movies On Netflix - Into The Wild

11. Into the Wild (2007)

This great movie will take you deep into the wilderness of Alaska. It’s the story of Christopher McCandless, as he sells all of his possessions after graduating from university and departs to Alaska. He even donates all of his savings to give it all up and live in the wild. Along the way, he’ll encounter people that will forever make an impact on his life. It’s quite a long film (almost two and a half hours long) but definitely worth your time!

Best Travel Movies On Netflix - Adrift

12. Adrift (2018)

This moving film is based on an inspiring true story and will leave you shaken. It follows the adventures of two sailors who embark on a trip across the seas only to find themselves in the eye of one of the most catastrophic hurricanes in history. After the storm, their boat is shredded to pieces and one of them is badly injured. Now all they have to do is try to survive. It’s a gripping story, that’s for sure!

Crystal Fairy & The Magical Cactus

13. Crystal Fairy and the Magical Cactus (2013)

This movie is for those who want a bit of fun when they’re away or daydreaming of being on the road! Meet Jamie, a let-loose American who’s traveling in Chile. There, he joins a woman keen to discover the benefits of a local South American hallucinogen: the San Pedro cactus. You’re bound to have a good laugh with this one. It’s short (1:40 hours) and hilarious!

Best Travel Movies On Netflix - Forrest Gump

14. Forrest Gump (1994)

This American classic is one you’ve probably seen dozens of times before. But we never get tired of this movie! This story follows the beloved character, Forrest Gump, across a tale of his eventful life while he waits at a bus stop. His memoirs also depict a series of key events in American history, so it’s quite the emotional ride. It’s a longer movie, almost two and a half hours long, but certainly an unskippable one!

Jiro Dreams of Sushi

1 5. Jiro Dreams of Sushi (2011)

This Netflix documentary follows the life of 85-year-old sushi master Jiro Ono and his work at his renowned sushi restaurant. It also touches upon his relationship with his son as he is under the pressure of taking over the restaurant. Meanwhile, Jiro sets out on his lifelong quest to create the perfect piece of sushi. It all happens in Tokyo, so it’s a great movie for those longing to visit Japan!

Best Travel Movies On Netflix - Faces Places

16. Faces places (2017)

This documentary is the perfect road trip film! The French protagonists, 89-year-old New Wave director Agnés Varda and 33-year-old photographer JR, embark on an artistic journey that’s caught on camera. They travel around the small villages of rural France, as they create portraits of the people they come across on their trip. It’s simple, subtle, and comforting! It’s a great movie for a road trip, so head over to our Road Trip section to start planning your next one.

Best Travel Movies On Netflix - In Search of Fellini

17. In Search Of Fellini (2017)

This story is both dreamy and relatable in certain ways! The protagonist is a small-town girl from Ohio who isn’t too keen on reality but adores movies. When she discovers the artistic and bizarre films of Federico Fellini, she takes off on a passionate trip across Italy just to find him. It’s a coming-of-age memoir mixed with a heavy dose of wanderlust. And if you like Italy’s landscapes, you can’t skip it!

Best Travel Movies On Netflix - The Mummy

18. The Mummy (1999)

This one is another classic! If you’re in the mood for an adventure comedy, this is what you need to watch. Out of all these travel movies, The Mummy has a very distinct vibe. Is a mix of romance, adventure, comedy, and terror that just ticks all the right boxes! It tells the story of an expedition of treasure-seeking explorers in the Sahara Desert. When they uncover an ancient tomb, they set free a  3,000-year-old mummy by accident. And I’ll let you find out the rest from there! Get ready to visit Egypt!

The Way Movie

19. The Way (2010)

The Way is visually stunning and emotionally touching. It tells the story of a man who goes to St. Jean Pied de Port, France to gather the remains of his deceased adult son. His son died in a storm while attempting to complete the Camino de Santiago (The Way of Saint James trail). There, he decides to embark on the pilgrimage himself to honor his son’s desires. It’s an emotional ride but a beautiful one!

The Bucket List Movie

20. The Bucket List (2007)

A travel movie with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman is a film worth watching! This comedy-drama follows two men suffering from a terminal illness as they set out on a once-in-a-lifetime kind of road trip. On their journey, they will check off everything they need to from their bucket lists before actually “kicking the bucket”. It’s funny, it features lots of cool places and activities, and it’ll sure keep you company while on the open road!

Best Travel Movies On Netflix - On The Road

21. On The Road (2012)

On The Road is the compelling take of a road trip fuelled by grief and a need for inspiration. Writer Sal Paradise embarks on a trip across the open road to regain clarity and motivation. On his journey, he encounters the free-spirited Dean Moriarty and his charismatic girlfriend. Together they travel the American Southwest in search of the unknown. The landscapes present in this movie are stunning and it’s always great to get to see more of the US!

Best Travel Movies On Netflix - Wild Oats

22. Wild Oats (2012)

This film is for those who want to watch movies that are a ton of fun! Wild Oats is a great movie capable of getting a laugh out of most of us. The story kicks off when a retired high school teacher receives a $5,000,000 check for her deceased husband’s $50,000 life insurance policy. Influenced by her friends, she decides to make the most out of the mistake and embark on a wild trip to the Canary Islands. The location of this film is beautiful and the storyline is hilarious!

Best Travel Movies On Netflix - The Davinci Code

23. The Da Vinci Code (2006)

Everyone knows The Da Vinci Code in one way or another, right? Whether you’ve read the book or seen the film, this is a travel movie worth watching. The story follows symbologist Robert and cryptologist Sophie as they find themselves in the middle of a political and religious battle amid different believers. I don’t want to spoil anything else but this one is a must-watch!

Best Travel Movies On Netflix - Forgetting Sarah Marshall

24. Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008)

This is one of the best comedies/rom-coms of all time! Not only does it make everyone laugh and cringe a little, it’s also set in beautiful Hawaii. The plot follows Peter, who was dumped by his girlfriend (actress Sarah Marshall) and decided to take off to Hawaii. He hopes to relax but, as he’s checking in, he spots Sarah and her new boyfriend. The events that follow are bizarre, hilarious, and worth watching!

Best Travel Movies On Netflix - Cairo Time

Finishing off this roundup of travel movies on Netflix with Cairo Time seems like the right move. This movie is poetic to its core and has some really strong performances. It’s a romantic drama that focuses on an unexpected affair in Cairo. Of course, it features the best views of the city and a few of Egypt’s most iconic landmarks. The Best Travel Shows On Netflix Right Now, Ranked

Zach Johnston

Last Updated: November 12th

There’s rarely been a time in recent history in which travel has been more out of reach. That means we all have to live out our travel dreams vicariously for now. Enter the travel TV genre — our most straightforward path to inspirational and aspirational escapism .

No network has changed the game more in recent years than Netflix when it comes to providing a great list of travel shows that’ll motivate you to hit the road one day while scratching that wanderlust itch between trips. But this being Netflix, there’s a dearth of content to sort through. Knowing where to start and which shows are worth your binging time is tough.

We’re here to help. The fifteen travel series below are the best Netflix has to offer right now. We’ve gone ahead and ranked them, though we have to point out that these rankings represent minor quibbles at most. We also tried to cover multiple types of travel shows from the standard food+travel series to nature shows to reality TV travel escapism.

Let’s dive in!

15. Restaurants On The Edge

1 season, 6 episodes | IMDb: 6.8/10

The “fixer-up” aspect of reality TV is a tried and true concept. Gordon Ramsay has umpteen shows doing just that. Where Restaurants on the Edge stands out is the travel and cultural aspect of the show. Restaurateur Nick Liberato, chef Dennis Prescott, and designer Karin Bohn travel the world and find restaurants with amazing views that are on the edge of shutting down (something that’s become even more heightened given recent global events). They team up with the restaurant’s chefs and owners to turn the place around. The ripple here is that the hosts guide the local owners to delve more deeply into the local culture and have their establishments better represent that scene.

14. Stay Here

1 season, 8 episodes | IMDb: 7.5/10

Designer Genevieve Gorder and real estate expert Peter Lorimer join forces in Stay Here to help homeowners turn their spaces into short-term vacation rentals. This is all about Airbnb’ing your digs even though “ Airbnb ” is never mentioned. This is a fun and breezy travel show that goes deep enough to show you how much works goes into the sharing-economy to make it actually work for you. In the end, you’ll have a whole new appreciation for that perfect Airbnb you stayed in.

13. The World’s Most Extraordinary Homes

2 seasons, 12 episodes | IMDb: 7.6/10

This show is addictive. Let’s get this out of the way. This is luxury and lifestyle porn first and foremost. It’s a traveling show, we guess, by proxy. However, it’s intoxicating.

The World’s Most Extraordinary Homes takes us inside architectural wonders around the world. These range from the homes of the elites in places like Greece, Los Angeles, and New Zealand to the homes of a fisherman in Japan and writers in Holland. Hosts Piers Taylor (an architect) and Caroline Quentin (a British actor) offer a great entry point. Taylor offers professional insight, while Quentin is the audience’s awed surrogate.

12. Tales By Light

3 seasons, 18 episodes | IMDb: 8.3/10

Tales By Light isn’t your average travel show per se. The focus here is on great travel photographers and how they operate around the world.

The photographers the show follows just happen to be some of the best in the world who have devoted their life to globetrotting to find the absolute best shot. Every corner of the world is covered over three seasons of breathtaking episodes and crazy escapades.

Seriously, one episode is about swimming with anacondas in the Amazon.

11. Night On Earth

1 season, 6 episodes | IMDb: 8.2/10

Shows like Night On Earth offer a glimpse into the world that beckons you out into the wider world. These are the shows that lay a foundation of wanderlust in our young souls. On top of all of that, this show is visually mesmerizing. It’s a trippy, unique, and captivating look at our world, and it’ll make you want to be someone who seeks these places out.

10. High On The Hog: How African American Cuisine Transformed America

1 Season, 4 Episodes | IMDb: 7.7/10

High on the Hog is based on the seminal work of Dr. Jessica Harris and her breaking down of how African food cultures mingled with Indigenous American foods and European techniques to help define what American food is today. The show is a sort of short-hand for Dr. Harris’ work and book, with chef and writer Stephen Satterfield trekking around America and West Africa looking back at the origins of African American cuisines, where those foods are today, and profiling the people keeping those traditions alive. This is the sort of travel show that will stick with you while teaching crucial history about Black Americans’ impact on the food we eat today.

9. Our Planet

1 season, 8 episodes | IMDb: 9.3/10

Our Planet is Netflix’s very own Planet Earth . They even got Sir David Attenborough to narrate this beautiful series. Again, yes, this is a nature series. But, we argue that a series this intriguing and beguiling will stoke your wanderlust fires and get you out there enjoying everything nature has to offer. If this series doesn’t get you itching to see new places on our planet, nothing will.

8. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

1 season, 4 episodes | IMDb: 6.8/10

David Chang’s second Netflix travel and food show is a little broader than Ugly Delicious . This four-part series finds Chang hanging out with big-name celebrities and diving into local food scenes around the world. Seth Rogan shows Chang around Vancouver while getting very stoned. Internet star and model Chrissy Teigen wanders around Marrakesh with the chef. Writer and actor Lena Waithe takes Chang through her Los Angeles. Finally, the show’s final ( and best ) episode finds Chang hanging out with SNL superstar Kate McKinnon in Cambodia. Overall, this is an easy, fun watch to breeze through on a shut-in Sunday.

7. Ugly Delicious

2 seasons, 12 episodes | IMDb: 7.8/10

Chef David Chang’s food show, Ugly Delicious , is a travel show at its heart. Chang travels the world eating food and talking to people about culture, life, and what they do while experiencing it all for himself — that’s all travel really is. The beauty of the show lies in the lack of pretension — a child-like curiosity really — that Chang carries with him as he travels, talks, and eats. The way Chang travels becomes aspirational with a crazy good dose of food porn along for the ride.

6. Larry Charles’ Dangerous World Of Comedy

1 season, 4 episodes | IMDb: 7.3/10

Larry Charles’ Dangerous World Of Comedy is a travel show at its heart. Acclaimed TV and film comedy director, Larry Charles, travels the world seeking out how comedy is done in war zones, on Indian reservations, in theocracies, in slums, and beyond.

This is the sort of show that takes you deep inside the harder side of life around the world. It’s a part behind-the-scenes look at TV comedy around and a part subversive travelogue with a keen eye on finding the grey areas of life and comedy in places few dare to travel. Plus, it’s only four one-hour episodes, making this one a very easy binge.

5. Dark Tourist

1 season, 8 episodes | IMDb: 7.6/10

David Farrier’s Dark Tourist isn’t what you think it is . This isn’t about the western gaze, looking down upon the weird or “other.” Farrier’s nuanced approach to travel and diversity shines through as he parses some of the lesser-known parts of varying cultures.

The show shines in its ability to hook you in from the first frames. Episodes about vampires in New Orleans, Pablo Escobar’s hitmen, and haunted forests offer a glimpse into the unknown in our world without judgment.

4. Somebody Feed Phil

4 seasons, 22 episodes | IMDb: 8.2/10

Phil Rosenthal has cut out a pretty great second act after his days running Everybody Loves Raymond . Rosenthal is traveling around the world eating great food, meeting people, and seeing new places he thought he’d never see.

Rosenthal is on a trip of discovery. There’s a clear food focus to the show. But, really, the series ends up being just as much about the journey as a great meal with new friends.

3. Street Food

2 season, 15 episodes | IMDb: 8/10

This series from the creators of Chef’s Table leans more heavily into the travel aspect of great cooking. The series highlights street food vendors across East Asia, Mexico, and Central and South America through two seasons. The series revels in letting those vendors tell their stories and highlighting the food they make with that now iconic Chef’s Table aesthetic . The bonus is that each episode clocks in at around 30 minutes, making this a very easy and enjoyable binge any time.

2. MeatEater

3 seasons, 29 episodes | IMDb: 7.8/10

This is probably the most interesting and unique travel (and food) show on this list. Steve Rinella’s MeatEater might be the best nature-meets-travel-meets-food show, full stop. Rinella and his crew travel around the U.S., Mexico, and even parts of South America to embrace nature in the most visceral way, through hunting and fishing for their own food and then cooking that food, providing us with wild recipes to boot. We’re not kidding when we say that the wild places this show goes are the places you almost never see on the average travel show, which is usually obsessed with hitting the same old spots over and over again (looking at you Rosenthal and Chang).

Yes, hunting or fishing for food is the core of each trip. Still, with sourcing your own wild food being one of the fastest-growing food movements in America (far outpacing veganism with people under 40), MeatEater offers real-world advice as an entry-point to the wild spaces of the world and the food available therein. It’s also about the people around the world who live their lives in harmony with nature. Add in the beautiful cinematography (from the same crew as Bourdain’s shows) and you have a great watch.

1. Down to Earth with Zac Efron

1 season, 8 episodes | IMDb: 8.1/10

This show was the sleeper hit of the travel TV world in 2020. Yes, it premiered during a pandemic when we can’t travel, making it an easy hit. But the show really has some serious heart and insight. Viewing the world through Zac Efron’s always wide-eyes proved really refreshing. His excitement to be seeing the world and trying on new ideas while also making an effort to step out of the most well-worn paths made for solid TV.

There’s a real soul to this show that gets to what’s beautiful about travel. It captures the spirit of wanderlust — learning about the world while learning about yourself.

"Night on Earth," Season 1, Episode 5 - Sleepless Cities

"Night on Earth"

"Night on Earth" is technically a nature series, but where there's nature, there is also a gorgeous backdrop to behold. And you'll be seeing them all at night. Narrated by Samira Wiley, known for her role on "Orange Is the New Black," viewers will enjoy watching animals frolic in the jungle and even stroll through urban landscapes as the rest of the world is asleep.

This limited run has six episodes and is streaming now.

"Tales by Light," Season 2, Episode 5 - Life and Death: Part 1

"Tales by Light"

If the idea of picking up some photography tips while watching TV appeals to you, check out "Tales by Light." This is not an instructional show by any means, but you will find it educational. In this series, photographers and filmmakers traverse the globe in search of the perfect story-telling shots. Important issues are brought to light, and there's some fantastic scenery along the way.

Seasons 1-3 are streaming on Netflix now.

"Jack Whitehall: Travels with My Father" - Season 2, Episode 3

"Jack Whitehall: Travels with My Father"

As the title suggests, the effervescent comedian and actor Jack Whitehall sets out on what are supposed to be bonding vacations with his conversely buttoned-up father. Together, they trek across Southeast Asia, Europe and the Southwestern United States. Hijinks and hilarity ensue.

Seasons 1-3 of "Jack Whitehall: Travels with My Father" are streaming on Netflix now.

"Dark Tourist," Season 1, Episode 2 - Japan

"Dark Tourist"

Less upbeat than some of the other shows on this list, but no less informative, "Dark Tourist" follows journalist David Farrier to less-than-savory destinations around the world. Experience the allegedly haunted forests of Japan, meet Pablo Escobar's former enforcer in Colombia and watch as Farrier swims in a Kazakhstan lake that was formed by a nuclear blast.

"Extreme Engagement," Season 1, Episode 2 - Love & Other Bruises

"Extreme Engagement"

You can only see "Love is Blind" so many times before you have to look for something else to watch. Enter "Extreme Engagement," where betrothed couple PJ Madam and Tim Noonan travel the globe in search of diverse marriage customs.

Naturally, traveling together for a year proves to be its own challenge and viewers have to wonder if these two will make it to the altar themselves.

"Our Planet," Season 1, Episode 4 - Coastal Seas

"Our Planet"

In Netflix's answer to BBC's "Planet Earth," Sir David Attenborough again graces us with a voice-over in this stunning depiction of our home. "Our Planet" episodes cover all manner of terrain, from the seas to the jungles to the far-flung frozen lands. You'll come away with an appreciation for nature and all of its beauty – and perhaps a desire to see these places in person someday.

Tyler Perry shoots scenes in Memphis for new movie 'Joe's College Road Trip'

netflix trip 10 hours

If you thought you saw Tyler Perry on Beale Street this week, don't blame the Handy's Hurricanes from Rum Boogie Cafe.

The superstar actor-writer-producer-director was here Tuesday to shoot scenes for his new movie, Memphis and Shelby County Film & Television Commissioner Linn Sitler confirmed Wednesday.

The movie is titled "Joe's College Road Trip." The Netflix project began production earlier this month, with scenes also shot this week in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Filming also will take place in New Mexico, in early February.

The comedy-drama follows a grandfather and grandson on a road trip that includes visits to locations of cultural and historic significance to Black America. Perry, in a white Afro-style wig that is less extravagant than his famous Madea hairpiece, plays the grandfather.

In addition to shooting on Beale, the 54-year-old Perry and his traveling Tyler Perry Studios crew filmed outside the National Civil Rights Museum.

MEMPHIS MOVIE LOCATIONS: 10 spots film fans should visit, from The Arcade to the Pyramid

Jon Shivers, director of Beale Street for the Downtown Memphis Commission, said the Beale scenes mainly involved the grandfather and grandson (played by Jermaine Harris) driving up and down the street in the vintage red convertible that is their road-trip vehicle. Shot on what was a somewhat misty and slightly rainy night, the sequence took "a few hours" to complete, Shivers said.

"Any time we can showcase Beale and Downtown Memphis in a positive light in the national spotlight, we're going to do so," Shivers said. He said the street was not closed and Beale remained open during the filming, although the district was not very crowded that night.

Shivers said Perry's team began working out the logistics of the Beale Street visit about two weeks in advance of its arrival in Memphis. The filming was essentially a secret project, with no advance publicity released by Perry's team or local officials.

Written and directed by Perry, "Joe's College Road Trip" is one of two new movies the highly successful playwright-turned-filmmaker is shooting this month for Netflix. The other, to be shot at Tyler's home studios in Atlanta, is "Madea's Destination Wedding," the 13th in the series showcasing Perry's signature comedy creation, the straight-talking, pistol-packing matriarch known as Madea.

Too bad that production didn't come to Memphis because "Madea hits Beale" is a phrase with promise. However, Madea will make a cameo appearance in "Joe's College Road Trip," in scenes shot in Atlanta.

New Movies & Shows To Watch This Weekend: Netflix’s ‘Trigger Warning’+ + More

New shows & movies to watch this weekend: ‘bridgerton’ season 3, part 2 on netflix + more, new shows & movies to watch this weekend: ‘hit man’ on netflix + more, new shows & movies to watch this weekend: ‘eric’ on netflix + more.

The only correct answer to “Are you ready for a new season of The Bear ?” is “Yes, Chef!” The acclaimed series returned for season three this week, along with dozens of other new titles, including a new season of That ’90s Show on Netflix, My Lady Jane on Prime Video, and Breaking New Ground on Max. You can also catch new movies like Fancy Dance on Apple TV+, A Family Affair on Netflix, and more.

Not sure which new releases to check out? Let us here at Decider help you figure out what to watch this weekend and where to stream it.

New Movies & Shows To Stream This Weekend: The Bear , That ’90s Show , Fancy Dance + More

This week marks the return of a couple of anticipated summer shows; first up, Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, and the rest of the cast of The Bear are back for season three on Hulu, which dropped earlier than expected on Wednesday night. On Netflix, you can watch the latest season of That ’90s Show , the sequel/revival to That ’70s Show which reunites a few of the old cast with a group of new teens who are getting high in Red and Kitty’s basement. And on Apple TV+, Lily Gladstone stars in Fancy Dance , the feature debut from director Erica Tremblay.

New on Hulu June 26: The Bear (Season 3)

After two seasons and dozens of awards and accolades, The Bear is back for season 3, and expectations are high, in and out of the kitchen now that The Bear (the restaurant) is up and running. Lucky for us, Hulu has already dropped the entire season all at once – three hours earlier than we originally expected, on Wednesday night – so we can binge our way through the whole thing this weekend. If you thought Carmy was a tortured soul before, he’s got more baggage and non-negotiables than ever in season three.

New on Netflix June 27: That ’90s Show : Part 2

That ’90s Show returned to Netflix this week (sans That ’70s Show stars Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, and Wilmer Valderrama), but that’s fine, because this show belongs to the grunge generation. As such, Callie Haverda returns as Leia Forman reuniting with all her new friends for another fun summer hanging out at her grandparents Kitty and Red’s house in Point Place. If you really need some familiar faces though, Kurtwood Smith, Debra Jo Rupp, Don Stark and Laura Prepon will all be around for the new season, as will Seth Green, who makes a cameo as Mitch.

New on Apple TV+ June 28: Fancy Dance

Lily Gladstone stars in the new Apple TV+ movie Fancy Dance as Jax, an Indigenous woman caring for her niece, Roki (Isabel DeRoy-Olson) after Roki’s mother disappears.Jax and Roki go on a road trip to find Roki’s mother, while also trying to prepare Roki for a powwow and elude Roki’s father, Frank (Shea Whigham) who seeks custody of her.
