Day 2: Bangkok

thailand tour package with flight

After breakfast our tour director hosts an orientation meeting and then we'll embark on a tour to some of Bangkok's most outstanding Buddhist temples. Buddhism is practiced by more than 94% of the country and is central to understanding Thai culture. We'll see the White Marble Temple, one of the finest example of Thai architecture; and Wat Po with its colossal 150-foot long "Reclining Buddha." Next, we'll visit the former residence of the Kings, the Grand Palace. The mile-square palace grounds feature some of the most beautiful examples of ancient Siamese architecture including the Temple of the "Emerald Buddha". The rest of our day is free to rest and relax, or consider joining an optional tour!

Day 3: Thai Markets & Sugar Palm Farm Excursion

floating market thailand

Early this morning we'll leave for the Mae Klong Railway Market. As the name suggests, this market sits on a railway and whenever a train approaches, we can expect to see a flurry of activity as baskets of wares are moved and awnings come down so the train can travel right through the heart of the market. Next, we'll drive to the colorful floating market of Damneon Saduak where we'll watch merchants sell food, produce, baskets and more from their boats. Before we return to Bangkok, we'll stop at a sugar palm farm where we can sample the local area's delights. We'll stop for lunch at a local restaurant as we make our way back to Bangkok. This evening, consider a optional Pearl Dinner Cruise.

Day 4: Bangkok – Ayutthaya – Phitsanulok

thailand tour package with flight

Today we'll explore the ancient temple ruins and crumbling pagodas of Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Thailand. We'll see some of the city's former glory in the giant bronze statue of Wat Mongkol Borpith and the three ancient pagodas of Wat Phra Sri. Next, is Wat Mahathat, "the Temple of the Great Relic" which was once one of the kingdom's most important temples. Here we'll see the sandstone Buddha that has become entwined in the roots of a Bodhi tree. After our visit, our journey continues past beautiful rice paddies as we drive to Phitsanulok, the gateway to northern Thailand. After check in, we are free to relax for the rest of the day or might consider joining an optional tour to a local market.

Day 5: Phitsanulok – Sukhothai – Lampang

thailand tour package with flight

Before leaving Phitsanulok this morning, we'll stop at the famous Buddha Foundry where bronze Buddha images are cast in the increasingly rare traditional way with wax molds and molten bronze. The highlight of our day awaits us in Sukhothai. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was the capital of the first Kingdom of Siam in the 13th and 14th centuries. Next, we'll visit its sister city, Sri Satchanalai where we'll stop at a privately-owned textile Museum. The private collection featured here includes antique and handwoven textiles including a gold sarong (or pha-sin) from the royal court of Keng Tung. Afterward, we'll continue to our Lampang hotel.

Day 6: Lampang – Chiang Mai

thailand tour package with flight

This morning, we'll visit the Saa Paper Community Project. We'll have the chance to create our own souvenirs and our visit supports this local project dedicated to preserving traditional methods used make mulberry bark paper that have been passed down from generation to generation. Our next visit takes us to Dhanabaadee Ceramic Museum, where we'll discover the evolution of ceramic-making and watch local artisans craft the traditional "chicken bowl." We'll continue to Chiang Mai where the rest of the day is free to relax or explore. We might consider joining an optional Khantoke dinner this evening.

Day 7: Chiang Mai

thailand tour package with flight

Today we'll meet Thailand's beloved national animal, the elephant, with a full-day visit to the Elephant Nature Park. This sanctuary isn't just for elephants—it's home to buffalo, dogs, cats, birds, and many other rescued animals. We'll hear the personal stories of the rescued elephants, learn how they've come together to create a new herd free from abuse, often for the first time in their lives, and enjoy the sight of the free roaming elephants and other rescued animals in the natural surroundings of this sanctuary. Our visit supports elephant conservation in the region and allows us to slow down and learn from these majestic creatures.

Day 8: Chiang Mai

thailand tour package with flight

Today takes us to the revered mountainside temple of Doi Suthep. Each year, Buddhist pilgrims journey to the temple on foot which can take six to eight hours! We'll skip the challenging trek and drive up the winding road instead. From our drop off point, we can choose to scale the 300 steps of the beautifully carved Naga Serpent Staircase, or ride the cable car to the summit. We'll explore the temple's beautiful architecture, statues, murals, and shrines—all of which are nothing short of breathtaking. Tonight, we'll enjoy a cooking class and delicious dinner experience together. After our cooking experience, we'll enjoy an authentic meal together followed by a traditional herb drink!

Day 9: Chiang Mai – Hmong Hill Tribe

thailand tour package with flight

After breakfast at our hotel, we'll drive north to the Mae Rim area. On the way, we'll stop to explore the lush Araksa Tea Garden where we'll learn about the age-old traditions and tea growing processes. We'll enjoy a home-style lunch made from locally sourced and organic produce before we continue to the Hmong Hilltribe Lodge. This resort offers us a unique opportunity to experience Hmong culture in the scenic valley of the Suthep-Pui mountain range. This afternoon, we might consider an optional hike to visit villages further afield with experienced guides.

Day 10: Hmong Hill Tribe – Mae Kok – Chiang Rai

Wat Rong Khun

This morning we'll drive north to Chiang Rai via the Wiang Pa Pao. En route, we'll stop at Mae Krachan Hotspring where we can relax and soak our feet in one of the steamy pools and boil an egg in the natural springs! Our drive continues to Wat Rongkun, or the White Temple, one of Thailand's most recognizable temples, and then to Wat Huay Plakang. We'll have an unforgettable visit with the Karen Hilltribe at Baan Ruam Mid. Here, this minority group maintains their distinct culture, religion, and language by passing them down from generation to generation. After out visit, we'll board a longtail boat for a ride up the Mae Kok River to Chiang Rai where we'll check into our hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Note: If temperatures are too warm to visit the hotspring, the group will visit a café at Wiang Pa Pao.

Day 11: Chiang Rai

thailand tour package with flight

Today we'll drive through the narrow and scenic roads to Doi Tung Mountain, home to many local hilltribe communities. We'll visit the Doi Tung Royal Project which continues to transform this area which was once used to cultivate opium. Today, the communities here cultivate a number of products including coffee! In fact, Doi Tung coffee is one of Thailand's most famous coffee brands. Next, we'll visit the Doi Tung Palace, Mae Fah Luang Garden, and then the Hall of Opium which is dedicated to portraying every angle of the opium story from its origin, the wars, the drug smugglers, the battle against growing, and the rehabilitation of the people in this former worldwide drug trading zone. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Chiang Rai.

Reef-safe sunscreen & insect repellent

Protect yourself from the harsh Thai sun with SPF 30 or higher and protect the coral reefs with reef-safe sunscreen. You’ll also need to pack plenty of DEET insect repellent.

How To Reach Thailand?

Thailand tour packages from India cover destinations such as Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket, Krabi, and Koh Samui. Direct flights to Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui, and Krabi are available from the major Indian cities - Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Bangalore. While flights from Delhi and Mumbai are more popular, those from Chennai and Kolkata are more economical. Take a look below to find out the best way to travel here, before availing Thailand tour packages .

The ideal way to easily reach Thailand can be said to be by air. With several airlines such as IndiGo, Spicejet, Air India and Thai Airlines, among several others, offering daily flights to different destinations in Thailand, it becomes easy to fly here. Choose from several international airports in Thailand to land on, and a great trip is sure to be had. Most major cities of India offer regular, cheap flights to Bangkok, and one can take advantage of such fare when planning in advance.

Although it is not recommended, due to the excessive time it takes, one can travel to Thailand from India via road transfer. It would take 3 days or so to complete the journey. The road takes one through Manipur in the Northeastern region of India, across Myanmar, with the road opening up in Mae Sot in Thailand. With the amount of traveling that might be expected here, along with the multiple visa requirements, it is the best and cheapest option to travel by air.

There isn’t any way to travel to Thailand via the sea for commercial tourists. There are freight ships that travel from India to Thailand, but they are allowed to carry mostly goods. Also, the journey would be too long as well as expensive to consider.

Best Time To Visit Thailand

For the most part, the weather in Thailand remains humid and hot across the year, apart from the cool season. That doesn’t stop the tourists from arriving in hordes for enjoying a superb vacation here. The country experiences three distinctive seasons, namely the hot, the cool and the wet or rainy season. Take a look at the best season to visit it, before settling on one of the tour packages for Thailand.

Hot Season (March to June)

The hot season, lasting from March to June, brings with it the hottest months of the year for Thailand, April and May. One can expect to have most of Thailand free from tourists, almost like having the entire country to themselves. The rates for hotels and activities also witness a downward spiral, so it is a good time for budget travelers to enjoy a trip.

Cool Season (November to February)

The cool season of Thailand lasts from November to February, or early March. The winter season, i.e November - March, is the best time to visit Thailand. The weather is much more pleasant during these months. However, families, friends, and honeymooners book holiday packages to Thailand all year round. This is the main tourist season for Thailand, and one can expect the main tourist destinations to be absolutely chock-a-block full of people. Several events, musical or otherwise, are held at various spots.

Wet Season (June to October)

Although the entire rainy season lasts from June to October, the onset of the rainy season changes every year and varies a bit depending on the location. Although the weather won’t be absolutely perfect, one can hope to have most of the beaches to themselves. The flight rates and accommodation options would also plunge accordingly, giving people a chance to enjoy a longer duration stay.

So, now as travelers have got some ideas in regards to the most suitable time to visit Thailand, they may plan for a Thailand tour package with airfare to this vibrant location basis their preferences. Or, they can also go through our list of diligently crafted itineraries of the destination. There are packages for newlyweds, solo travelers, adventure-junkies, and families. What’s more? Duration: 4N/5D

Accommodation: Hotel

Experiences: Blue lagoons, sunny beaches, night markets & more

Come Back for: Koh Samui

My friend and I had been itching to go traveling for a long time, and as soon as we found some time, we started looking at options. With a perfect trip in mind, a total boy’s vacation, we decided on Thailand. Spending 4 nights, 5 days in Thailand, we managed to cover Bangkok, Phuket, Phi Phi Island and Krabi, with help from TravelTriangle. We knew we had a lot to cover, with beaches, night markets, street food, dance shows and so much more waiting for us in this glorious land. Our main attraction was beaches, and we managed to fit in quite a few, from Railay Beach to Tup Island, from Chicken Island to Phi Phi Island, and many others. And each of them was better than the last. What can we say, the trip was perfect, so was the hotel (we spent long, lazy hours in the pool)! The food at the hotel as well as the street food was delicious; whereas the sightseeing was impeccable as were the transfers.

2. When Girls Have All the Fun: A Thai Escapade

Duration: 8N/9D

Accommodation: Resort

We had been looking for a way to get all of our friends together for a girl’s trip away, and Thailand was the chosen destination. With assistance from the TravelTriangle team and agent associates, it became pretty evident from Day 1 that we were gonna have a great trip. The sparkling nightlife was a big attraction for going on Thailand Holidays , but we were also assured by TravelTriangle that it is a pretty safe destination for an all girls trip. The highlight had to be the Alcazar Cabaret show on the first day! What acrobatics and moves! We also covered Coral Island and Tiger Park, and there was never a dull moment. But, the best part was yet to come: SHOPPING! For shopaholics like us, Bangkok is a paradise, offering apparels, footwear, accessories, electronics and even items we have never heard about at such affordable prices! We shopped till we dropped! All in all, this was a trip of a lifetime.

The package and the agent that was finalized via TravelTriangle was quite good. We got to see a lot of this beautiful country, from Phuket to Phi Phi Islands, from Bangkok to Krabi and so much more in-between on our Thailand Holidays . I can easily say that all the boxes on our travel bucket list were checked on this trip. Safety Measures For A Trip To Thailand

Thailand is a popular and very integral tourist destination in South East Asia. It boasts of markets, attractions, and places that interest any or all travellers visiting the country. But some safety features need to be kept in mind before visiting the country:

  • Carry all basic requirements that ensure safer travel. This includes hand sanitizers, masks, disinfectants, etc.
  • Choose a reliable travel agent to book your trip.
  • Check permits before visiting an attraction or destination.
  • Also, ensure that you have the necessary medical certificate as required.
  • Book accommodation which is safe not only for group travellers but also for solo travellers. Accommodations that offer a cheaper budget may not be safe all the time.
  • Snatching, mugging and pickpocketing are frequent crimes that occur in most parts of Thailand. To avoid such crimes, keep your belongings safe and away from the visibility of others.
  • Be careful when you are walking alone on the road. Snatchers are mostly active in such places. If you are carrying a purse or bag, hold it one that side of the body which is away from the traffic.
  • Do not carry all the cash or credit cards in one bag while you are out. Take only those possessions which are very necessary. Otherwise, leave your belongings in a safe at the hotel.
  • Keep your phone in a safe place and out of sight. But do not make the mistake of keeping it in your bag or purse which is exposed outside.
  • Before you leave for Thailand, get your name registered in the country’s embassy. In case of any mishap or disaster, India’s ministry of Foreign Affairs will be there for your rescue.
  • Do not go to such places which are dimly lit or appear shady, especially during the night. Such “dark” areas are the infamous parts of Thailand.
  • Visit the beaches during the morning and in the evening. Do not go to the beaches alone at night or after the evening.

Much like the varied destinations, there are ample options of places to visit and things to do in Thailand. "My family had wonderful relaxing days in Thailand thanks to the help of Long Pham and his team. During our 14 days here, we not only saw and learned about the sacred temples in this land but also immersed ourselves in the crowds of people in the bustling night markets, enjoyed unique local dishes and shopped. During the days in Phuket, my family was free to relax and spend meaningful time together.

"Ryan was very well organized, omega helpful in a lot of matters (be it activities or pre and post tour organizations) and put safety really up high without being restrictive. Always in a good mood and he basically had a huge impact on how the trip went. Overall a fkin nice guy that u just love to travel with. The itinerary itself had interesting activities but also left a lot of time for you to self explore. One thing you could improve would be for you to offer a few specific options that u can do in that free time instead of just letting us run free so that you do not have to look for yourself on google maps or browse the web on what to do. Other than that I would have preferred more „authentic“ local food restaurants. For my taste too many touristy restaurants that offered lots of western food.

Ans. You will easily find a suitable 3-day Thailand tour package that covers your preferred cities/destinations. While budget estimates vary depending on the location, choice of accommodation and other activities, you can go by estimated costs. A three-day Thailand trip will require approximately ₹ 45,000-50,000 per person, including accommodation at a good four-star hotel, transfers, sightseeing costs and food.

Ques. Is Thailand a visa-free destination for Indians?

Ans. While booking your Thailand tour package, you should note the visa requirements with care. Indian citizens will need visas to enter the country. However, if you are visiting only as a tourist, then you can get a visa on arrival, provided your stay does not exceed two weeks. Foreigners should always carry their passports in the country along with a photocopy.

Ques. How to plan a budget Thailand trip?

Ans. It is possible to book a Thailand tour package at an attractive price, provided you compare available options online and go for the best deals on flights and accommodation. Once that is done, there are a few other tips that will help you enjoy the multifarious delights of the country on a budget: Avoid taking taxis from the airport. You can save money with the Airport Rail Link trains that connect to the MRT and Skytrain networks. There are shuttle buses (free) which link to affordable city buses alongside. Do not take domestic flights to access various destinations in Thailand. Instead, choose public buses or train rides. You can take overnight buses or trains to reach several destinations too. BKS (Baw Khaw Saw) buses are readily available and more affordable for tourists. Skip the Tuk-Tuks and take local taxis or pickup trucks instead to save more money on shorter jaunts. Remember that ride sharing may be costlier than what you are used to. You can affordably rent motorcycles/scooters for higher savings too. Eat delicious local food at the night markets and street-side stalls. This will help you save on trip costs like no other! You will find various bustling markets and food stalls throughout the day and evenings across the country. Feast on the choicest Thai meals and snacks at unbelievably low prices. Many smaller monasteries are free to visit, while hot springs in Chiang Mai are more affordable than spa treatments. Thai massages are also available at affordable rates across Thai monasteries, vocational training institutions and more.

Ques. What is the best time to visit Thailand?

Ans. Make sure you book your Thailand tour package anytime between the months of November and April. This is the peak tourist season in the country, with lower humidity and comforting sunshine. The former is when there is scorching heat to contend with, while the latter stretch witnesses heavy rainfall.

Ques. What is the cost of a Thailand visa from India?

Ans. Arranging the visa is an integral part of your Thailand tour package. You can exchange your money into THB across currency exchange centres and banks in Thailand, along with the airport.

Ques. Can I use Indian debit cards in Thailand?

Ans. If you are planning to book a Thailand tour package soon, then you should know about the ways of making payments in the country. You can use Indian debit cards in Thailand and withdraw money from local ATMs if you wish. However, your card should work in the country (confirm this with your bank before departure) and ATMs will charge you for the transaction. Savvino-storozhevsky monastery and museum.

Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery and Museum

Zvenigorod's most famous sight is the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was founded in 1398 by the monk Savva from the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra, at the invitation and with the support of Prince Yury Dmitrievich of Zvenigorod. Savva was later canonised as St Sabbas (Savva) of Storozhev. The monastery late flourished under the reign of Tsar Alexis, who chose the monastery as his family church and often went on pilgrimage there and made lots of donations to it. Most of the monastery’s buildings date from this time. The monastery is heavily fortified with thick walls and six towers, the most impressive of which is the Krasny Tower which also serves as the eastern entrance. The monastery was closed in 1918 and only reopened in 1995. In 1998 Patriarch Alexius II took part in a service to return the relics of St Sabbas to the monastery. Today the monastery has the status of a stauropegic monastery, which is second in status to a lavra. In addition to being a working monastery, it also holds the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum.

Belfry and Neighbouring Churches

thailand tour package with flight

Located near the main entrance is the monastery's belfry which is perhaps the calling card of the monastery due to its uniqueness. It was built in the 1650s and the St Sergius of Radonezh’s Church was opened on the middle tier in the mid-17th century, although it was originally dedicated to the Trinity. The belfry's 35-tonne Great Bladgovestny Bell fell in 1941 and was only restored and returned in 2003. Attached to the belfry is a large refectory and the Transfiguration Church, both of which were built on the orders of Tsar Alexis in the 1650s.

thailand tour package with flight

To the left of the belfry is another, smaller, refectory which is attached to the Trinity Gate-Church, which was also constructed in the 1650s on the orders of Tsar Alexis who made it his own family church. The church is elaborately decorated with colourful trims and underneath the archway is a beautiful 19th century fresco.

Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral

thailand tour package with flight

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is the oldest building in the monastery and among the oldest buildings in the Moscow Region. It was built between 1404 and 1405 during the lifetime of St Sabbas and using the funds of Prince Yury of Zvenigorod. The white-stone cathedral is a standard four-pillar design with a single golden dome. After the death of St Sabbas he was interred in the cathedral and a new altar dedicated to him was added.

thailand tour package with flight

Under the reign of Tsar Alexis the cathedral was decorated with frescoes by Stepan Ryazanets, some of which remain today. Tsar Alexis also presented the cathedral with a five-tier iconostasis, the top row of icons have been preserved.

Tsaritsa's Chambers

thailand tour package with flight

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is located between the Tsaritsa's Chambers of the left and the Palace of Tsar Alexis on the right. The Tsaritsa's Chambers were built in the mid-17th century for the wife of Tsar Alexey - Tsaritsa Maria Ilinichna Miloskavskaya. The design of the building is influenced by the ancient Russian architectural style. Is prettier than the Tsar's chambers opposite, being red in colour with elaborately decorated window frames and entrance.

thailand tour package with flight

At present the Tsaritsa's Chambers houses the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum. Among its displays is an accurate recreation of the interior of a noble lady's chambers including furniture, decorations and a decorated tiled oven, and an exhibition on the history of Zvenigorod and the monastery.

Palace of Tsar Alexis

thailand tour package with flight

The Palace of Tsar Alexis was built in the 1650s and is now one of the best surviving examples of non-religious architecture of that era. It was built especially for Tsar Alexis who often visited the monastery on religious pilgrimages. Its most striking feature is its pretty row of nine chimney spouts which resemble towers.
