Additional farm hunting.

Throughout Namibia we have different farms under contract where we offer Eland hunts by tracking, Hartmann’s Mountain Zebra hunts and specialized hunts for Dik-Dik and Klipspringer.

During these hunts you can experience the game in its original habitat, which means that you hunt the Mountain Zebra in mountainous areas like the Naukluft or the Khomas Highland, and you hunt the Eland in thick bush in the Northern regions of Namibia.

Big game hunting can be organized on request in some of Namibia’s Big Game regions with the current concession holders. Both Henning and Sigi are licenced Big Game Ph’s and would accompany you on these hunts.

Plainsgame hunting in Damaraland in Namibias north-west is also a very rewarding and challenging hunt. A stark contrast to what one is accustomed to. The accommodation in most concession are comfortable safari style tents with hot showers and lavatories. In the communal concervancies where most of these hunting concessions lie directly involve the local communities. Not only through monetary gain but all meat goes to the villagers in the communities.

Furthermore Big Game hunts and specialized species hunts can be organized on request in our neighboring country Zambia, where previously organized hunts have been tried and tested with sincere outfitters. The hunting concessions around the Luangwa parks definitely live up to their expectations as being prime Big Game hunting areas. Zambia boasts plainsgame species which are basically endemic like Kafue Lechwe, Black Lechwe. Puku, Lichtenstein Hartebeest, Reedbuck, Bushbuck, Sitatunga, Defassa waterbuck, Eland and Sable all add to the species list. Also here accommodation is up to standard and above.

Almost 40% of the country is protected through wildlife reserves, conservation areas and marine conservation areas. Tanzania has 17 national parks that cover more than 16,000 square miles. What can I do in Tanzania besides going on safari?

There is much to do in Tanzania. A visit to Zanzibar’s golden beaches with a dhow cruise on the warm Indian Ocean is a must. Discover the rich culture of Tanzania by visiting Stone Town, the famous spice market and enjoy eating delicious local food.  Explore the bustling city of Dar es Salaam. Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is many people’s most aspirational African adventure.

What should I wear on a Tanzanian safari?

Tanzania is generally warm but can get cooler in winter, particularly on early morning and late evening game drives. Pack a rain jacket, and warmer clothing for winter, with light clothing for summer. Bright colours and white are not recommended for a safari, with khaki-coloured clothing generally recommended for travel in the African wilderness.

Where do I fly into Tanzania for a safari?

If you are travelling to Tanzania’s popular northern safari circuit you will land at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Tanzania's main airport is Julius Nyerere International Airport, in Dar es Salaam.

What is Tanzania’s national animal?

 The graceful giraffe is Tanzania’s  national animal.

Do I need a visa to visit Tanzania?

Yes, travellers from most countries need a visa to travel to Tanzania. A single entry e-visa can be obtained online before travelling.

Vaccinations

What vaccines do i need to visit tanzania.

Always chat to your travel clinic or doctor before travelling to Tanzania. As a guide, tetanus, typhoid, hepatitis A, diphtheria and polio vaccinations are recommended. You will also need to show your yellow fever vaccination card.

Is Tanzania malaria free?

No. Over 93% of the population in mainland Tanzania live in malaria transmission areas. We advise all our guests to chat to their physician about the best anti-malaria medicine to take. Please note, many anti-malaria tablets need to be taken a few weeks before departure.

What is the COVID protocol for travelling to Tanzania?

We address all concerns surrounding COVID in line with the latest recommendations from the World Health Organization and other leading authorities. Please speak to your Travel Designer for the latest travel advisory updates, to ensure that you are prepared for all COVID travel requirements in Tanzania before your departure.

Do I need to show proof of COVID vaccination when arriving in Tanzania?

Travellers do not currently need a vaccine to enter Tanzania. Also, COVID vaccination passports or certificates are not mandatory to enter the country.

Bravo Picks up New Making it in Manhattan Show and South Africa Safari Series

The NBC upfronts are upon us, which means the executives at the network are showcasing their slate for the upcoming year in hopes of dazzling advertisers and media buyers. For reality TV fans like us, that means we’re getting updates on a ton of new series coming to our screens, in addition to a bunch of our favorites getting picked up for new seasons . On Bravo , they just announced two new shows: Making it in Manhattan and On Safari !

Making it in Manhattan and On Safari are both working titles, so they’ll probably have cuter names once they finally come to our screens. Either way, we’re excited for some fresh franchises coming to Bravo. Let’s get into the details.

According to a press release from Bravo , Making it in Manhattan follows a group of friends who “navigate the trials and triumphs of young adulthood.” The press release explained that some of the cast members of this upcoming show come from well-known families, while others are fresh faces to the Big Apple. Basically, this sounds like a younger version of Real Housewives of New York .

Bravo’s other new show, On Safari, sounds heavily inspired by Below Deck. It’s going to follow a bunch of safari guides in South Africa who work with rich people. The synopsis describes “the spectacular world of the most luxurious safari experiences” and the guides who “create once-in-a-lifetime moments for their adventure-seeking clientele.”

This sounds like Bravo’s semi-annual attempt at replicating the success of Below Deck . They’ve tried this before with a ski lodge and an adults-only campground , neither of which received a second season. Perhaps On Safari will break that curse. Either way, we’re looking forward to seeing what Bravo has in store for us over the next year.
