How many crew are aboard?

On each tour, there will be a captain and one mate. All of our vessels are U.S. Coast Guard certified and our captains are licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard. Our mates are CPR and first-aid certified. You can rest assured that you and your loved ones will be in good hands when you cruise with us.

What time should we arrive?

It is important to arrive 20-30 minutes early to your Charleston Yacht Tour in order to ensure a timely departure. Upon arrival, you will check in with a member of our staff who will then direct you to the yacht. Once onboard, our captain will give a safety briefing and depart promptly at the scheduled time. If you arrive after the yacht has departed, we will not be able to accommodate you on that tour.

Considered one of the top five things to do in Charleston, join us for our exhilarating daily sails or romantic sunset sails to escape the crowded streets and sweltering heat of downtown Charleston, SC. Take in the Holy City the way it was meant to be seen, from the peaceful waters of Charleston Harbor, as we mingle with dolphins, pelicans and gulls on our two hour sailing tours.

This is not a narrated tour, but more of a way to enjoy the serenity of Charleston Harbor and the soft breezes and beautiful views without having to take in nonstop information. Our crew is very knowledgeable and will be happy to point out landmarks and answer questions, but only if that’s what you desire. This is truly a great way to relax and enjoy your time on the water as we lift our sails the cool breeze will whisk you away to a time care forgot.

Relax and sip wine or another cool beverage as we sail from the Aquarium Wharf and continue sailing past the historic Battery, towards Ft. Johnson and Ft. Sumter, where the first shots of the Civil War were fired in 1861. Our sailing tour takes you past the USS Yorktown, the storied WWII air craft carrier docked at Patriot's Point, and on past Castle Pinckney, Charleston's old waterfront trading area where the walled city first developed. Keep in mind each sail is unique due to winds, tides and current.

The health and well-being of our guests and crew members is our number one priority. Our policies are designed to keep everyone safe, while also allowing for an enjoyable experience.

• All unvaccinated guests over the age of 2 are requested to wear a facial mask while indoors on the vessel.

We are running at up to full capacities which does not allow for much distancing on a passenger vessel. Please bring your mask if you are uncomfortable in what could be a crowded environment or if you are unvaccinated.

Are you looking for a unique venue to host that special occasion or party? There is no better way to WOW your guests than a cruise on the beautiful Charleston Harbor.

Carolina Belle

The Carolina Belle  is available for private charters every day of the week mid-February through New Year’s Eve.  We boast magnificent city skyline and gorgeous sunset views from our open Observation Deck or the enclosed Main Salon. We can accommodate all types of groups and parties and would be happy to assist with catering and entertainment, or you are more than welcome to provide your own.

The dinner cruise capacity is 100-125 for the Carolina Belle, and the cocktail cruise capacity is 200 . Daily harbor tours are aboard the Carolina Belle from the Charleston Maritime Center.

Charleston Princess

The Charleston Princess is a stunning vessel with upgraded comfort, viewing areas, and hosting capabilities. The Princess can accommodate up to 300 passengers and brings a sleek and modern look to Charleston Harbor. She boasts three decks for entertaining. The lower deck is enclosed and climate-controlled, the mid-deck is partially enclosed and open on the stern, with a glass solarium that is perfect for weddings. The top deck is open to the air. The vessel is 100 feet long, has two bars and a premium sound system. She is available for private events such as weddings, rehearsal dinners, reunions, social gatherings, corporate events and anything you want to celebrate.

Schooner Pride

The Schooner Pride is an 84’ tall ship operating in Charleston Harbor. She invokes visions of when Charleston was a very prominent sailing harbor as our country developed. She is modeled after the 18th century coastal trading schooners that once dotted our beautiful harbor. The Schooner Pride has all the charm and character of the great days of sail. The Pride is USCG certified for up to 49 passengers, and she operates out of the Aquarium Wharf (to the left of the SC Aquarium) and offers daily afternoon dolphin sails, sunset sails, private charters, and special events.

Charleston Lady

She is Charleston Tours & Events newest single deck, motor vessel. Perfect for a smaller group looking for a private tour or more intimate charter experience. We can host groups from 2-30 on board. The bow is open for fresh harbor breezes and the stern is enclosed, but has windows that can open for a nice cross breeze. We can set up picnic style catering on board and we have beer, wine, champagne, sodas and bottled water available for purchase.

Charter Rates

Your charter rate includes….

• Cash Bar with Bartenders
• Additional Staff as Needed
• Cruise Director
• 30-minute Boarding Time

Reservations

We will reserve dates up to 2 years in advance. Reservations are only confirmed upon payment of the deposit.

All charter reservations are confirmed upon receipt of a 50% deposit unless otherwise specified in the contract.  Deposits are due within two weeks after the reservation date. If the event is booked with short notice, the deposit may be due immediately.

Cancellations

90 days written notice – deposit is refunded less 10% cancellation fee, 60-89 days written notice – deposit is refunded less 20% cancellation fee.  With less than 60-days notice, the deposit is non-refundable.  (Percentage is based on deposit amount, not total charter amount)

Charleston Tours & Events has a great catering partnership with Duvall Catering; one of Charleston’s most recognized and respected caterers.  We can provide butler-passed hors d’oeuvres, displayed heavy hors d’oeuvres or a full-scale gourmet buffet dinner. Choose from our great menu options or work with our sales manager to construct a customized menu for your group. You are welcome to provide your own catering if you prefer.

Charleston Tours & Events can provide an extensive beer and cocktail list, and we work with a wide variety of distributors to provide great wines to complement any menu. Charleston Harbor Tours maintains all bar privileges.
