Detailed Review

The Hauck Pushchair Travel System Shopper Trio Set is a 3-in-1 set that includes a large pram, an infant car seat, and a stroller. This set is suitable for children from birth up to 25 kg, making it a long-lasting and practical choice for parents.

One of the standout features of this travel system is its comfort. The backrest and footrest can both be fully reclined, allowing your child to lie flat and nap comfortably. The sun hood also provides shade and protection on sunny days. Additionally, there is a cup holder tray and a large shopping basket for convenience.

When it comes to transportation, this pushchair is a breeze to use. It can be folded compactly within seconds, making it easy to store in smaller cars or take on public transportation. The aluminum frame and suspension system also make it easy to push on most terrains.

Safety is a top priority for any parent, and the Hauck Pushchair meets the required standards. The car seat has a 3-point harness and is approved to ECE 44/04, while the pushchair has a 5-point harness and is approved to the European safety standard EN 1888. However, it is important to note that this product is not suitable for running or skating.

In terms of drawbacks, some users have found the assembly instructions to be unclear. However, there are helpful tutorials available online to guide you through the process. Additionally, using the car seat can be a bit tricky at first, but with practice, it becomes easier.

Overall, the Hauck Pushchair Travel System Shopper Trio Set is a high-quality and versatile travel system. The materials used are durable and the frame is lightweight for easy transportation. It also looks stylish in its grey color. However, the manual could be improved.

In conclusion, the Hauck Pushchair Travel System Shopper Trio Set is worth considering for parents looking for a convenient and comfortable travel system for their child. It has its minor flaws, but these are outweighed by its numerous features and practicality. We highly recommend it.

Hauck Fun For Kids Limited Malibu XL All in One review

Malibu XL

The Hauck Malibu XL 3-in-1 Travel System gets you and your little one perfectly equipped straight from birth right up to toddler. The large wheels makes for fun and maximum comfort on every journey. This all-in-one travel system comes fully complete with the carrycot (including a mosquito net), changing bag, car seat, pushchair unit, cup holder and raincover. The high-quality aluminium frame is extremely lightweight and manoeuvrable thanks to the lockable 360° swivelling front wheels. Not only this, but the specially-designed suspension provides fantastic shock-absorption, while the easily-operated locking brake acts on both rear wheels for optimum safety. Baby bottles will always be ready to hand, thanks to the included cup holder and all of your baby’s essentials will have plenty of room in the large shopping basket.

Tested by mum Jackie Bitton for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

The colours of this Hauck Malibu XL travel system are unisex. It was relatively easy to set up and comes with car seat, carrycot, cup holder, rain over, changing bag and a mosquito net so you get a few extra included in the price whereas on other prams you would have to pay for as an extra at the same price or even more. It's lightweight and easy to move. It has a lovely large basket underneath and this is always a must!

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

With the large shopping basket and cup holder we can go out more easily with the travel system, whereas sometimes I'd opt for taking the car as not enough space for everything but this has that bit extra that all helps out.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

I would change the colour of this Malibu xl all in one, as the colour makes it look a little old fashioned. Great travel system but just needs brightening up a bit to make it a little more modern.

Tested by mum Flora Gare for the M&B Awards 2016:

I liked the colour (I thought it was a nice neutral, unisex shade that is nice change from black). I found the Hauck Malibu XL travel system easy to fold and very light to lift. It was very light to push and manouevre. My baby was comfortable in the seat unit which seemed to have enough padding. I liked that it could recline completely flat. The carrycot is sturdy and a very good size. Both the car seat and carrycot are easy to attach to the chassis with no separate adapters required.

It would make it easier to get out and about in the car - it is light to lift and you do not waste time putting a seat unit on separately.

The basket was not big enough for my change bag.

Tested by mum Anna Thayer for the M&B Awards 2016:

This Hauck Malibu XL travel system is exceptionally manouevreable, lightweight and sturdy, and folds down to a reasonable size. The design of the chassis is also such that a buggy board could be connected to it, increasing its life considerably, though  it is clear that it would adapt to a child for many years. The large changing bag supplied with it compensates for the small basket, and other features such as the parent cup and the drawstring height adjustment are great. This is a light, practical, well-designed pushchair.

The slick manoeuverability of this piece makes everything easier!

A concern in the design is the click-out prongs for attaching the car seat to the chassis; there is clearly potential for catching or injuring little (or big!) fingers here, and perhaps this could be worked on in future models. The car seat itself is also very upright for a newborn, with no adjustability.

Hauck Viper Trio Travel System Review

Hauck-Viper-Trio-Travel-System-Review-A-Mum-Reviews-(4)

This is our pram/travel system! As I update this post in February 2016, we have had this travel system for over two years and it’s been really good for our family.

The pram or travel system you get for your baby is a bit decision and you need to do your research before buying. Did you know that you can even get your dog a stroller these days? Today we’re focussing on our travel system for our firstborn though.

I had a few demands when I chose our pram: it needed to be a 3-wheeler and the wheels needed to be as big as possible (this makes steering and getting up onto pavements/buses/etc. so much easier), I wanted a travel system to save money and make life easier in general, the travel system needed to be sturdy and safe, the handlebar adjustable and I wanted a big shopping basket. And of course I wanted it all for a good price!

Hauck Viper Trio Travel System Review A Mum Reviews

All this I got with Hauck Viper Trio Travel System . The fact that it’s a lovely red colour is a bonus! (It’s available in other colours and designs, too.)

Hauck Viper Trio Travel System Review A Mum Reviews

We never bought a Moses basket. Instead we just used the carry-cot from this pram. It worked wonderfully and our newborn baby loved sleeping in it. It is also safer to move around with a sleeping baby in it than traditional Moses baskets.

hauck 3 in 1 travel system reviews

When our daughter got too big for the carry-cot, we moved on to the pushchair stage. I love that you can still fit the car seat in the pushchair bit so that you don’t have to wake your baby up moving her from the car to the pushchair. We still use the pushchair now that my daughter is 2 years-old and she’s still got lots of room.

The wheels are huge and amazing! They never get stuck and the pushchair is so easy to steer. The one big handle makes it easy to push the pram one-handed too.

Other good bits:

  • it’s quite easy to fold and doesn’t take up too much room folded up
  • it comes with a rain cover
  • the front wheel is lockable
  • the frame is lightweight
  • the brake/lock is big and easy to apply
  • the shopping basket is really big
  • the different parts are really easy to swap and click onto the frame
  • you don’t need anything else – this travel system will last from birth until your child no longer needs a pushchair

The only negative thing I can think of is that you need to fold the seat and the foot rest down before you can fold the pushchair up which can be a bit annoying when you’re trying to get into the house quickly. Other than that this is a brilliant travel system and it’s still going strong over two years later.

I’m very happy with this purchase and would recommend this travel system to all parents with similar needs. Buy from Amazon.co.uk .

The red design is currently unavailable at this price but it keeps coming back so keep checking if you are interested. Contains a sponsored link.

I’ve never really considered a three wheeled pushchair, my friend had one about 10 years ago and it was a nightmare to push so I think it put me off for life.

I love that it comes with the carrycot and car seat as well as the pushchair itself and the price is very reasonable. One to add to my consideration list.

hauck 3 in 1 travel system reviews

For me a three wheeler is really a must! I think it might depend on the size of the wheels maybe, but this one is so easy to push. You can even do it one handed.

I really recommend this one. We’ve used it nearly every day for 18 months and it’s still going strong. It’s very sturdy!

The City Mini Stroller is a good pushchair too but I have no idea if you can get a carrycot and car seat with that one. Plus the wheels are much smaller.

' src=

Hi I want to ask you something? Don’t you think there should be some kind of belt to tie up the baby in the carry cot? I don’t find any? Isn’t is a bit dangerous for the baby sleeping in the carry cot while parents are walking without a belt? Thanks in advance

Only babies under 6 months should go in the carrycot and they don’t move that much. When your baby is strong enough to sit up, it’s time for the seat part of the pushchair. There’s no need for a belt but I understand how you’re thinking! Thank you for reading!

Hi I was wondering if you know if there is a compatible isofix base for the Hauck viper trio car seat please

Hi Sharon! Thank you for your comment. I don’t know the answer to this but contact the Hauck team by phone +44 (0)1978- 664362 or email them at [email protected] and I’m sure they’ll be able to help you with this. Thank you! x

Hauck Rapid 3

The Hauck Rapid 3 is a three-wheel stroller that can be folded with just one hand by simply pulling on the strap on the seat. The non-reversible seat is fully reclinable. The three foam wheels are easy to maneuver and suitable for less demanding surfaces. It is also available in a four-wheel version Hauck Rapid 4 . The stroller is either sold separately, in a travel system with a car seat (Hauck Rapid 3 Shop´n Drive), in a 2in1 stroller system with a carrycot (Hauck Rapid 3 Duo Set) or, most commonly, in a 3in1 stroller system with a carrycot and a car seat Hauck Rapid 3 Plus Trio Set.

A good stroller for all-terrain use. It managed to do trips to mountains, forests, meadows with us... It is easy to fold, and the weight is also acceptable. Occasionally, when there is dirt in the wheels, it begins to squeak.

Your questions about the Hauck Rapid 3

I have a Hauck 3 Rapid stroller. I want to clean the canopy in the washing machine. I managed to detach the canopy from the stroller, but I can't get it off from the 3 metal bars it comes attached to. Is there even this possibility?

Hey, Alina,

No, the hood is not supposed to be removed nor washed in the washing machine - it can get damaged and also fade. The stroller is meant to be handwasged only.

Here's a stroller cleaning and maintenance guide if you'd need any tips .

Is this suitable for a 5 year old?

No, not really. The stroller had quite a few bad reviews about its lower quality, so it may be such a strain - higher eight, larger child - may make the push truly uncomfortable and the frame get damaged. In theory, you can kind of fit a 5yo in, but I personally would not go for such a use with this lower-quality, cheaper stroller.

Can you attach a Maxi Cosi car seat to this stroller, and if so, what adapter would I need?

Unfortunately no, you cannot attach any car seat to this stroller.

And overall, Hauck strollers mostly only accept Hauck car seats.

Kinderkraft Xmoov 3 in 1 travel system review

Kinderkraft Xmoov 3 in 1 travel system outdoors and in a studio

  • Jennifer Lorimer

In a nutshell

A budget travel system that comes with everything you need to take you from baby toddler. Its low price doesn’t mean it’s cheap – some materials could be more high end, but overall it is excellent quality.

What we tested

  • Value for money, easy to push, hood offers good protection, chunky wheels, 2 in 1 carrycot and seat, easy to fold
  • Materials feel a bit cheap

Showing item 1 of 3

hauck 3 in 1 travel system reviews

If you were told you could have a travel system with everything you’d need from your baby’s birth up to toddler stage (22kg) for under £300, you’d say ‘yes, please!’. The Kinderkraft XMOOV travel system comes with all this, from car seat and pushchair down to a cup holder and changing bag for just £279. It's one of many fine travel systems from the brand for the budget market - but that does not mean it is cheap on quality.

It has great functionality, with the seat unit able to convert from carrycot to toddler seat, and it is very comfortable to push for a unit so reasonably priced.

With its pricetag, the XMOOV is definitely at the lower range of the travel system market, but we have found few that offer the full bundle that Kinderkraft offers, along with superior functionality and handling.

Jennifer tested the Kinderkraft Xmoov with 5-month-old Olive in and around Dundee. The pushchair was put through its paces on city streets and country walks.

What were your first impressions of Kinderkraft’s XMOOV 3-in-1 travel system?

I was surprised when the Xmoov travel system arrived as it was all jam packed in one big box. Unlike more premium prams which require just one or two actions to assemble, this pram did require a bit of work to connect it all together.

Kinderkraft-Xmoov-bag

How easy is it to assemble the Kinderkraft XMOOV?

The instructions weren’t the easiest to follow as some of the diagrams weren’t very clear. There are follow-along assembly videos on the Kinderkraft YouTube channel which show how simple the pram is to assemble but, of course, it’s never as straight forward as they suggest. Once all set up, though, the pram and car seat – and the whole package – looked good.

What do you think of the 2-in-1 carrycot/seat unit?

The XMOOV comes with a 2-in-1 carrycot and stroller seat, which is handy for those who might not have the space to store an extra stroller part when it’s not in use.

While convenient, the 2-in-1 system means that the mattress for the carrycot is also the padding for the seat, so it’s not as thick as you’d get in other pushchair systems. My daughter doesn’t like being laid flat when out and about, so we didn’t use the carrycot function very often. But despite the mattress not being very thick, the carrycot looks spacious and comfortable for babies who might appreciate it.

Kinderkraft Xmoov parent facing

The stroller seat can face forwards or backwards and features a 3-stage, easy-to-use, handlebar-adjustable seat. By pressing the lever at the top of the seat, you can change the position of the seat to lying, half-sitting, and seated.

The cover of the carrycot can also be used as the footmuff on the seat. The footmuff left quite a gap for air to get in and my baby could get cold. So I’d definitely recommend travelling with a blanket to keep your child warm in winter.

How effective is the adjustable harness?

The 5-point adjustable harness ensures that your child is safe and comfortable, thanks to the soft pads and crotch pads. The soft pads can be easily removed for cleaning, and the belts can be adjusted in height, as the child grows.

Kinderkraft Xmoov

How easy is it to change from carrycot to toddler seat on the Kinderkraft XMOOV?

Kinderkraft says the change from carrycot to stroller can be made in 3 steps, by fastening some straps at the back. While that may be true for those used to the product, I found it quite fiddly to fasten. But if you’re like us and your child moves to the stroller seat, you wouldn’t need to fasten the straps regularly.

How easy is the carrycot to add on/take off the pushchair?

The carrycot/stroller seat is very easy to remove. The adapters at the side have big buttons you push in to release it from the chassis. Compared to other prams which can stick, I found the removal of the carrycot to be smooth and seamless.

What do you think of the car seat that’s included with the Kinderkraft XMOOV?

The car seat, which Kinderkraft has named MINK, is fairly basic. It’s light and the 3-point safety harness is easy to use. In short, the car seat is OK. Compared to more premium car seats it falls a bit short, but considering the price of the entire travel system, you can’t complain too much.

Kinderkraft Xmoov car seat

The seat does offer a bit of head and neck support with a removable cushion, but there wasn’t much cushioning for the lower body as there was a lot of space for my daughter to move around. I didn’t like the handle as it felt quite cheap and there was no grip to it.

The MINK car seat isn’t compatible with an Isofix base, so you just feed the seatbelt straps through the slots at the front and back of the car seat.

How do you fold the Kinderkraft XMOOV?

The XMOOV is relatively easy to fold:

  • You remove the car seat or carrycot first
  • Then pull on the trigger beneath the handlebar
  • This collapses the frame, making it simple to pick up and store away
  • The handlebar is held by a hook when folded to secure it in place

There is a pinch point at the hinge of the chassis – I caught my finger in it a couple of times, but once you are used to the folding process you know where to position your hands.

MFM tester Jodie added, "Being able to dismantle the pushchair so quickly was a real winner for me as it was easy to pack away in the car after rainy park trips."

How compact is the Kinderkraft XMOOV when folded?

When folded it is a bit too wide for my car boot (H75cmxW62xL42cm), but the rear wheels can easily detach for ease of storing. Those who have a large car shouldn’t have this issue. In fact, MFM tester Jodie loved how it fit into her car’s boot: “This product is excellent,” she remarked. “It is very compact when folded-meaning there’s lots of free boot space for toddler bikes/scooters or shopping.”

How easy is it to push and steer? What are the wheels like?

The wheels on this pushchair are air-filled and really help with the handling and steering. All 4 are made of thick and chunky rubber with shock absorption which helps navigate over bumpy terrain as well as pavements for a smooth ride. The front wheels can rotate 360° or can lock straight if walking across rough terrain. They are inflatable too, so you can give them a pump up if they look a bit flat.

The steering is also light and I found it easy to push around with one hand, perfect for parents with another child looking to hold the other hand.

Kinderkraft Xmoov wheels

How sturdy is the chassis?

Upon seeing the price of the travel system, I didn’t expect much from the buggy. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The chassis is strong and capable of a bit of wear and tear and didn’t seem to get scratched if it bumped against a wall. It is all black, apart from the material on the stroller or car seat.

Kinderkraft Xmoov chasis

How comfortable is the Kinderkraft Xmoov's handlebar?

The handle comes in a brown leather-effect which I quite liked. Rather than extend outwards, the handlebar rotates and can be set in up to 8 different positions making it easy for people of different heights to find a comfortable position. The handle was easy to hold and was cushioned for added comfort.

Kinderkraft Xmoov handle

How much coverage does the hood provide?

The hood is one of my favourite features on the stroller as it offers great protection against all the elements. It features a special mesh, which gives additional ventilation in the warmer weather and a view of your child. And when it's cold, you can cover it with some material.

Kinderkraft Xmoov hood

The hood is deep and can be enlarged further, almost entirely covering the seat, giving maximum protection against adverse weather conditions. It also features a retractable canopy to protect against the sun. There is a handy peekaboo hole to keep an eye on your child too.

Kinderkraft Xmoov peek-a-boo window

How easy are the brakes to use?

You easily find the brake pad between the 2 rear wheels and it is simple to press down and apply. The brake is also ‘flip flop friendly’ so you do not have to put your foot underneath to disengage. The brake did a good job holding the pram to a stop.

How spacious is the basket on the Kinderkraft Xmoov?

The basket is fairly spacious and has a capacity of up to 4 kg, so it will hold a lot. Additionally, it can be easily accessed from any side. It can also be removed for cleaning and easily fastened back on again.

Kinderkraft Xmoov basket

What’s in the box?

  • 4 inflatable wheels
  • 2-in-1 carrycot and stroller seat
  • Car seat adapters
  • Enlarged hood
  • Detachable bumper bar
  • Eco-leather handlebar
  • Mosquito net
  • Changing bag with changing mat

What are the additional accessories that you can buy?

The Kinderkraft XMOOV system comes with pretty much everything you need, so there’s no need for any further accessories.

What is worth knowing before buying the Kinderkraft Xmoov?

For the RRP of £279, I would want to know the quality of the product that I’m buying as the price seems too good to be true. Some of the materials feel like they could be better, but on the whole, it is well worth it.

Is this pushchair worth the money?

This travel system is absolutely worth the money. It comes with everything you need for going out with a baby – it even comes with a changing bag. It is suitable from birth to a weight of 22kg. For £279, this is a bargain. Our MFM Awards testers agreed. “An excellent quality product that really offers value for money,” said Jodie. “I highly recommend this product and wish I had purchased it for my first child rather than spending 5 times the price on a different model.”

How does it compare to similar pushchairs?

Similar travel system bundles include the Ickle Bubba Stomp V4 , My Babiie MB200+ and Hauck Pacific 4 Shop n Drive – you can see a comparison of their key features below.

Where can I buy the Kinderkraft Xmoov?

It's available from Amazon , Kiddies Kingdom and Pramworld .

MadeForMums verdict:

A fantastic value, all-in-one pushchair that offers everything a parent needs from birth to toddler. Seeing as some travel systems can cost in excess of £1,000, this one has everything that an expectant parent needs and would be ideal for those on a budget. It’s also useful for those who don’t want the hassle of mixing and matching a dozen products and who want an easy-to-choose bundle for a fantastic price.

It handles well and has a well-functioning fold too. The materials are perhaps not the best quality, particularly on the foot cover and sun canopy, but for the price you're paying you can’t really complain.

I enjoy these glimpses of other countries and places, to see what is different and what is essentially the same in the lives of other people. Thanks for posting these interesting photos.

Really interesting to see these - monumental architecture - I could post some shots of the underground in Liverpool - but don't think it would pass muster.

I am not sure what these forums are for but, for me, these photos of city and other shots from places I will never get to are what I look forward to seeing.

Sort of National Geographic from a very personal point of view

Thank you, Richard!

I think that we can make out of the N1 forum whatever we want it to be. Everybody else has moved on to some other hunting grounds by now, with N1 being a "dead system" (haha). There even isn't a community moderator assigned to here any more.

BTW, as it'll be some time for me to come to Liverpool (no further business trips for me, yeah!!), I'm actually curious to see pictures from there...

Thanks! The pictures were taken on a business trip and I had been lucky to steal a few hours at good weather after work. it was what I enjoyed most on those trips and the N1 system was a perfect companion there.

I agree and think that is a terrific idea.

Nikon may have killed off the N1 system with no future products and essentially non existent support, but I do not view this as a dead system. I only discovered how good N1 stuff is about 2 months before Nikon pulled the plug and since then I've purposely built out my system with many bodies and lots of lenses. My larger gear with 3 DX bodies and lenses from 12mm to 500mm sits gathering dust, unused since the N1 gear is so fun and covers almost all my needs.

So, there's still a place for sharing information from the veterans to the new users. And there's definitely room to share images from around the world taken with N1 cameras and lenses.
