What many fans had been speculating is true: Luis Miguel is going on tour this year.
On Wednesday (April 19), the Mexican crooner announced the dates for his 43-date stint in North and South America that will kick off Aug. 3 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The trek will visit major cities in the U.S. such as Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami and Los Angeles before wrapping up Dec. 17 in Guadalajara, Mexico. The tour is produced by CMN.
It’s Luis Miguel’s first tour in years. His last tour — México Por Siempre, which ran from 2018 to 2019 — grossed $101.4 million and sold 965,000 tickets across 116 shows, according to Billboard Boxscore. It was the highest grossing Latin tour in Boxscore history until last year when Bad Bunny ‘s El Último Tour del Mundo and World’s Hottest Tour surpassed it.

Luis Miguel Kicks Off His 2023 Tour – Here’s How Fans Are Reacting
Luis Miguel officially kicked off his much-anticipated 2023 tour last night in Argentina (Aug. 3). The fans of El Sol de México are excited to see the iconic artist make his grand return to the stage.
The last time Luismi performed in concerts was back in 2019 on the México Por Siempre Tour. In April, he announced that he was returning with the Luis Miguel Tour 2023. The ambitious tour will see him perform 66 concerts in Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and the U.S. The singer launched the tour on Thursday night at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires.
For the first of 10 shows in Buenos Aires, Luis Miguel performed most of his biggest hits. Among the 28 songs on the setlist, he sang his classics like “Hasta Que Me Olvides,” “Amor, Amor, Amor,” and “La Incondicional.” He also performed a medley of his oldies, including “ Ahora Te Puedes Marchar ,” “Cuando Calienta El Sol,” and “La Chica del Bikini Azul.” He paid tribute to Michael Jackson and Frank Sinatra as well by singing the duets that he recorded with them. And, of course, Luis Miguel also proudly represented Mexico with his mariachi performance of “Cucurrucucú Paloma.”
A lot of videos have surfaced from Luis Miguel’s first show of his comeback tour. His fans were happy to see the 53-year-old singer bring down the house with his powerhouse performances. “El Sol shining last night Argentina, Luis Miguel I love you,” wrote one person on Twitter in Spanish. “It’s too good to be true how Luis Miguel looks,” wrote another person. “Attitude and movements as if we were in the 90’s. The biggest icon of Spanish music is back.”

"I have been a fan for a long time and then my daughter just followed suit," she said. "We have gone to see him in Las Vegas and we saw him the last time he came to El Paso (in 2018).
She added, "I love all of his songs from "Debajo de la Mesa," to all of the Romances songs. I think he is the best Latin artist."
Luis Miguel in El Paso: Concert highlights from Don Haskins
Luis Miguel, looking dapper as always in a black suit and tie, never said a word to the audience. But he didn't seem to need to. Fans gleefully held their hands high, waving their LED wristbands, which flashed colorful lights and filled the arena like dancing fireflies in the dark.
El Sol de Mexico started the night with "Sera Que No Me Amas" and continued to take fans through decades of his hits, slowing down the tempo with romantic ballads and bringing back up the beat with his pop hits.
Fans joined in at every opportunity, singing to classics such as "Culpable o No," "Amor, Amor, Amor," and "Entregate."
Luis Miguel has always been known for his signature dance moves, from picking up a leg while dancing to sashaying across the stage. He still has those moves that thrill ladies, reminiscent of an Elvis hip thrust, but he no longer pulls on his hair.
The last 20 minutes or so of the 1 1/2-hour concert kicked up a notch when he brought out his mariachi, a robust 14-member group, that backed him as he sang some favorite rancheras, "La Bikina" and "La Media Vuelta."
Fans sang along while giant inflatable balls bounced on fans in the floor seats.
He ended the night with a medley of his earliest hits, including "Cuando Caliente el Sol," and then soaked in the crowd's love as they hollered "otra." He returned the gesture with closed palms and then threw kisses.
He still knows how to leave them wanting more.
