I spent $256 on a ticket and flew from Florida to Las Vegas to see this fiasco of a show. The show was supposed to start at 9. The curtain finally rose at almost 9:30. The drums and bass were so loud, little of the vocals could be heard. The band was off several times, there was limited choreography, 2 solos (drum and piano, neither of which were Bruno, OBVIOUS TIME FILLERS), and the show lasted one hour and 15 minutes. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!!! IT SUCKED!! I am used to hearing songs sung at concerts, not stopped mid-way to laugh and joke. Bruno Mars needs to go to some REAL concerts so he can see how to please his PAYING AUDIENCE. Go get some lessons from Pink, Elton John, who ever, Bruno, cause your show is a joke!!

The Bruno Mars concert was amazing! The only fault that I would say is that there was a lot of waiting Dua Lipa was right on time and it felt like when’s Bruno coming?! Then after Dua Lipa we had to wait for them to set Bruno up which felt like forever, but when he was out there it was amazing he had fireworks and amazing dance moves and his singing was just amazing. He even added some comedy in there, and he was putting his absolute all you could see by the sweat on his body. After we thought it was over but he surprised us with an extra song :) it was an experience of a lifetime and I must say for my first concert it was A M A Z I N G ! For the merchandise I feel some of it was just a bit overpriced like the hats.

Bebe Rexha sang Me, Myself, and I, I love that song!!! I just think it wasn’t necessary to say some bad words while she spoke, but thats ok because it’s BEBE REXHA!!!

He sang all of my favorite songssss and ne sang UPTOWN FUNK!!!! AWESOME!!!!

Overall, it was the best concert of my life, even though we could have been in better seats, and I even got a souvenir t-shirt!!!!

Unfortunately for the large number of concert-goers who left early to beat the traffic — although it was a surprisingly seamless exit the arena’s West Garage across the street — Mars saved the best surprise of the evening for last. He welcomed Gaga, who appeared behind a red piano on stage, introducing her as “the icon” and “pop royalty.” She was dressed in the similar country-inspired get-up that she dons in the song’s ’70s-themed music video, while Mars accessorized with a cowboy hat.

In the darkness of the sweltering arena, a white spotlight lit up the stage as Mars began with the slowed-down guitar intro from “Die With a Smile.” Gaga rolled into the song with fervent passion, building up to the song’s big chorus where the pair of hitmakers’ powerful vocals melt as one.

Just as the sun was beginning to disappear into the city skyline, the arena’s app did malfunction, causing a pedestrian traffic jam at the main entrance for an hour. Despite the malfunction, ticketed guests slowly populated the arena, and Mars went on before 10 p.m.

“You know, you gotta get the app to get inside,” Mars later jokingly remarked on stage before launching into his sultry banger “Calling All My Lovelies.”

In the last week, Mars helped Mexico City celebrate the reopening of their storied Foro Sol Stadium (renovated and renamed as Estadio GNP Seguros), and this evening’s three-hour show followed the same basic setlist, featuring all of Mars’ biggest hits — from “Finesse,” “That’s What I Like,” “Billionaire,” and “Treasure,” to “Versace on the Floor” and “Just the Way You Are” — with support from his all-star backing group of instrumentalists that double as dancers. Each seat above the floor was lit up with colors matching the palette on stage, and when Mars would swivel from one side of the arena to the other, the lights would follow his movement.

The pace and flow of the concert unfolded as flawlessly as one would expect from a performer with a showcase as seasoned as Mars. There were hardly any pauses, outside of one minor distraction when Mars flagged — and then ushered (“ Y’all got security, right? Jump over the [barricade]! “) — the Dome’s security team to attend to a medical emergency in the first few rows of the floor.

The crowd remained on its feet until midnight, only taking the occasional break when Mars would briefly disappear for quick outfit changes. Each time he would return, the room swelled with an amplified hunger, culminating into a full-blown sing-a-long of “Runaway Baby” and “Uptown Funk.”

“We’re making California history,” Mars said to the starry-eyed crowd. “Thank you for being here with me.”

He will perform a second show on Friday night at the Dome, just blocks away from the SoFi Stadium and the Kia Forum in Inglewood. The arena will host Olivia Rodrigo, Peso Pluma, Usher and more in the coming weeks.

The Intuit Dome , Inglewood’s newest $2 billion sports venue, will be home to the Los Angeles Clippers but the doors swung wide Thursday night for an official opening that hosted two music superstars.

“How you feeling, L.A.?” asked Gaga as she was seated behind a keyboard with an oversize blonde wig, white tights, and a shiny, pink-and-white minidress. As the crowd went wild, Mars took the mic with an introduction: “Ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together for the icon, pop royalty, Lady Gaga. You guys are gonna be the first to hear us play this song live.”

The surprise new single, “Die With a Smile,” was co-written by Mars, Gaga, D Mile, James Fauntleroy and Andrew Watt and produced by Mars, Gaga, D Mile, and Watt in a showing that marks the first new music from Mars since his work on duo Silk Sonic with Anderson .Paak and from Gaga since Chromatica (and her more recent Rolling Stones collab). A country-style music video also premiered Thursday.

After they finished the performance, Gaga jogged across the stage in her stilettos to take a series of bows facing each section of the spanking new facility as her fellow Super Bowl Halftime Show alum amped up the applause. Once she exited down a flight of stairs and disappeared into the darkness backstage, Mars stayed in the lights for “Uptown Funk” in what would be a final encore.

Intuit Dome officials and local leaders didn’t need a reminder that Thursday was historic for Inglewood and the Clippers. A ribbon-cutting ceremony preceded the concert and featured remarks by L.A. Clippers chairman (and Intuit Dome champion) Steve Ballmer, Halo Sports CEO Gillian Zucker, Mayor James T. Butts Jr. and Intuit CEO Sasan Goodarzi. “Damn, I’m fired up,” Ballmer said upon taking the stage. “I have to say I’m a little anxious tonight. I love what we built, but I want all of you to love what we built.”

What they built is a $2 billion facility that was years in the making and spans 26 acres and features state-of-the-art technology including a double-sided “Halo Board” scoreboard screen that encircles the arena. The facility also features five basketball courts (a game court, two practice courts, one promo court and one on the spacious outdoor plaza), a training facility, medical and player spaces, an indoor pool, and an 80,000-square-foot plaza with two bars, a restaurant and massive team store. The arena, which was built to resemble a net with a ball at the center, is also adorned by a smattering of public art created by local artists, like murals, sculptures and digital displays, including a ship comprising basketball hoops and backboards designed by Glenn Kaino.

“It is just such a pleasure and privilege to have a chance to welcome you here,” Ballmer also said during his remarks, which touched on the wild and ambitious “ride” in building the Clippers’ permanent home after sharing Crypto.com Arena with the Los Angeles Lakers. “When I first bought the business, the L.A. Clippers basketball team, I said to myself, one of the great things about buying the Clippers is we never need to build an arena. I said, look, all these teams, they sell, you got to build arenas. We’re never going to have to do that…. Well, it took about six months to realize it might be a good idea to have our own house.”

In opening the house tonight, Ballmer even took time to acknowledge that hiccups were likely to happen especially since Intuit Dome relies exclusively on technology as it’s a cashless and app-mandatory facility that makes use of facial technology and smartphones for purchases. “I know they like to mention tech. Can I tell you what tech means? Tech means software, and I’m really hoping it all works tonight…. It won’t. I’ve done version one of many software products, so bear with us, just bear with us if you need to.”

Intuit Dome, which broke ground in September 2021, is located not far from Inglewood’s other jewels, SoFi Stadium and Kia Forum. It has already committed to hosting the 2026 NBA All-Star Game and hoops games for the 2028 Summer Olympics. On the immediate calendar, Intuit Dome will host comedian Sebastian Maniscalco this weekend followed by concerts from Marco Antonio Solis, Olivia Rodrigo, Twenty One Pilots, Usher, Weezer, and Billy Joel.

“It’s our house,” Ballmer said as he wrapped up his comments. “We also knew that our house had to be about more than just basketball. Our house was going to be about music and basketball and all the support and counsel from [Irving Azoff] and from others that we’ve gotten to try to make this a home, a home where people feel comfortable coming in. I think of this as the best basketball facility ever built — I do think of it that way. I hope you agree, but I absolutely think about it. Whether people know about it worldwide, we hope they come visit.”

Every week, Consequence’ s   Songs of the Week column looks at great new tunes from the last seven days and analyzes notable releases. This week, we try and parse out if Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars ’ new collaborative track “Die with a Smile” is actually good.

Is Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die with a Smile” Good?

Honestly, It’s Pretty Good!

Bruno Mars has always been the throwback showman, and he really reached the apex of his nostalgia-core soul alter-ego with Silk Sonic, his collaborative project with Anderson. Paak. His last three albums, An Evening with Silk Sonic ,  24K Magic,  and  Unorthodox Jukebox, were so intent on living in the past that it genuinely seems too late for Mars to reverse course and make something that feels contemporary — not to mention “Uptown Funk,” the seismic hit that confirmed his status as the ultimate nostalgia crooner.

On “Die with a Smile,” Mars’ first single since the Silk Sonic days three years ago, he does not trade his classic, organic Smeezingtons  pop for dance beats and a Chromatica- esque sheen. He’s also not belting like the cocaine-addled, funkadelic sideman he played on  An Evening with Silk Sonic . Instead, Mars shows up and does what he does best: simple, satisfying love ballads.

For many (like my colleague Mary), this simply isn’t good enough — especially compared to Lady Gaga’s wildly ranging catalog and chameleonic persona. But he sounds emphatic and towering on “Die with a Smile.” It’s hard not to believe him when he croons, “I’m gonna love you every night like it’s the last night,” over the drums pounding and a reverb-ridden electric guitar washing about.

Lady Gaga, predictably, blends gorgeously with Mars’ crystal clear topline, and her vocal charisma is on par with her duet partner through and through. After all, Gaga is no stranger to a throwback sound, and can seamlessly shift roles and eras like she’s flipping through a fashion catalog. As we saw in Silk Sonic, Mars thrives when he has someone to work off of in real-time — while Gaga doesn’t bring the same kind of cheeky attitude that .Paak provided, she does have powerhouse belts and delectable harmonies.

But the question remains: Is this a step forward for both artists? Or is it yet another pointless retreading of the past, a mining of the bygone era of power duets a la “Endless Love,” offending no one but satisfying only a select few? I’m hesitant to say the latter, if only for the crisp, anthemic production of “Die with a Smile,” which is immaculately mixed and just plain pretty. While not a leap, it is a collaboration that lives up to its star-studded package. — Paolo Ragusa

Initially, the Bruno Mars Live in Singapore concert would only last for two nights but due to the overwhelming demand from the fans, LiveNation as the organizer has confirmed they are adding the third night making it a three-night non-stop concert on 3, 5, and 6 April 2024 at 8 PM. The celebrated singer, songwriter, and producer who has sold over 200 million singles worldwide will bring his unparalleled musical euphoria to the Lion City for the fans in the region.

2. The Concert Venue

As you may have guessed, for a big-scale concert involving the world-renowned entertainer, the National Stadium will be the host. The stadium is capable of holding up to 55,000 spectator seats and is about to transform into one giant dance floor – as you groove to Mars’ eclectic blend of funk, R&B, and pop music.

3. The Ticket Prices (Latest Update)

As confirmed by Ticketmaster, the tickets for the Bruno Mars concert in Singapore are still available in limited numbers for the three-day concert.

The National Stadium is relatively easy to find due to its location close to the airport and the renowned Universal Studios Singapore. If you search in Google Maps can easily notice the green color that occupies most of the area. The transportation choices are also varied and have easy access from anywhere within Singapore. Here are some of the best routes:

• MRT Train – Board the Circle Line (Yellow Color) and disembark at Stadium MRT Station (CC6).
• Bus – Several bus routes are going to the stadium: Bus Service 11, 10, 14, 16, 70, 70M, or 196.
• Grab Car – There are two pick-up points for Grab Car: Pick-Up Point A is on the North side of the National Stadium, and Pick-Up Point B is on the East side of the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
