• Cafe Moto Go!

Trek advertises all of their bikes as unisex, although the smaller models are more suitable for women.

In previous years, Trek came out with two kinds of models, but pretty much all of the 2024 range is unisex.

The trick is, smaller models come with a curved top tube to make mounting the bike easier, but for bigger models, the top tube is straight.

Electra Kids Bikes 16″, 20″, 24″

At the moment, Trek offers a wide range of kids’ bikes under the Electra brand. These bikes are available with 16″, 20″, and 24″ wheels, so they are suitable for different ages. Electra does not have any balance bikes, but there are many 16″ and 20′ models with training wheels. There are also single-speed and multi-gear models for younger and older kids. The best thing about them is fun and colorful designs!

Best for:  Kids and teenagers of all ages, for riding around the block, commutes to school, or family weekend rides on bike paths.

Kickster is the only balance bike Trek offers. It costs around $160 and it comes with 12″ wheels, so it’s suitable for kids who are roughly 34″-40″ tall. It’s the best bike for very young riders to learn how to ride, practice balance, and progress on their own terms.

Precaliber, Wahoo & Roscoe

Precaliber, Wahoo, and Roscoe are Kids’ MTB series with wider tires, rim or disc brakes, and rigid or suspended forks. Trek Roscoe is available only with 24″ wheels, whereas Precaliber and Wahoo can be bought with 16″, 20″, 24″, and even 26″ wheels. These kids’ bikes are excellent for both on and off-road riding , trips to school, family rides, and any other fun cycling activities.

Best for: Children of all ages who need versatile bikes that they can ride on paved and unpaved roads, as well as on bike paths.

The MT-201 pedal trailer can be attached to the parent’s bike in front and allows the child to tag along and practice balancing while pedaling. The saddle is fully adjustable and the trailer comes with a 20″ wheel that makes it suitable for children between 45″-52″ tall.

Best for:  Toddlers and preschoolers who still need to perfect their balancing skills but want to follow their parents anywhere they go.

Honda launches next-gen EV brand in China to take on BYD, first two SUVs due out in 2024

Can Honda turn things around in China? Domestic automakers like BYD are dominating the market. Meanwhile, Honda unveiled its next-gen EV brand “Ye” with the debut of the first set of models, including a pair of electric SUVs and a sporty GT model.

Honda unveils new Ye EV brand in China to boost sales

After sales fell 10% in China last year, Honda looks to jumpstart the brand with its new EV brand.

The new “Ye” series was unveiled in China on Tuesday, making it Honda’s third brand in the country after e:N and Lingxi. Honda plans to launch six new Ye vehicles by 2027.

Honda’s Ye brand will wear a new “H mark” to represent its next-gen EVs. The company said its new models are designed to offer more value to customers in China. They will be based on a newly developed dedicated EV platform tailored for the Chinese market.

The first two models are crossovers, the Ye P7 and Ye S7, which will go on sale by the end of the year. Based on its new platform, Honda’s next-gen EVs will be offered in single and dual-motor 4WD versions.

The RWD variant is designed to offer “sporty and crisp handling,” while the 4WD model packs more power and responsive handling.

Inside, Honda’s new EVs are equipped with LED lights on the instrument panel and door panels that change based on AI.

Honda’s Ye P7 “expresses a seamless, sophisticated and smart sense of the future,” while the S7 represents a “more emotional sense of the future that stimulates people who see the vehicle.”

The Ye P7 and Ye S7 are set to go on sale by the end of the year. Meanwhile, Honda’s new Ye GT Concept features a sleek low-riding silhouette. The interior is designed to immerse the driver like a race car.

For the first time on a Honda, the next-gen EV will feature a far-focus display, giving the sense of a private theater. The electric GT is set to go on sale by the end of 2025.

The automaker plans to introduce 10 Honda-branded EVs in China by 2027, aiming for electric models to account for 100% of its sales in the region by 2035.

With the Chinese auto market quickly transitioning to electric, many legacy automakers, including Honda, were caught flat-footed.

Domestic automakers like BYD are dominating sales in China, squeezing joint venture brands out of the market.

Honda’s sales fell 10% in China last year, Nissan’s slid 16%, and Toyota’s were 1.7% lower than the year before.

With electric cars priced under gas-powered rivals, like the new Seagull , starting at $9,700 (69,800), BYD expects joint venture brands’ market share to shrink to around 10% from 40% over the next three to five years.

Like many legacy automakers, Honda is scrambling to turn things around in the world’s largest EV market.

The company said its new Ye brand is designed to “accelerate its transformation in China where the EV shift is proceeding rapidly.”

Grant Gustin , the former CW superhero now making his Broadway debut in the musical “ Water for Elephants ,” has been headlining his current, critically praised stage gig since it began previews in late February. And yet, “I’m still scared and nervous every show,” the actor admitted on the latest episode of “Stagecraft,” Variety’s theater podcast.

Although he’s best known for his nine seasons in the lead role of the superhero series “ The Flash ,” Gustin is no stranger to the stage or to musical theater. He worked in theater from the ages of 10 to 21, and first gained national attention for his TV role on “Glee.”

But it’s been 13 years since his last stage gig, when he had a role in the national tour of “West Side Story.” Plus, he explained on “Stagecraft,” he’s never felt fully comfortable as a singer.

“I would say the most consistent thing I spend time worrying about is the singing, which I knew would be the case going in,” he said. “I’ve always struggled with confidence in general, I guess, but as a singer for sure, even though it is technically something I can do. I’m also not naive to the fact that I’m coming in as someone who’s been away from this for so long, who’s a quote-unquote ‘TV actor,’ and I didn’t want to feel like an outsider.”

Gustin added that his enviable time in Hollywood has given him a unique perspective. “It’s funny. I’ve had all this incredible success that a lot of actors would kill for in the past 13 years,” he said. “But I think it’s humbled me in some ways. There’s this self-doubt that’s built up somehow as you compare yourself to these people that you admire. It’s been such an interesting journey.”

“Jesse L. Martin, who’s a Broadway veteran and was on ‘Flash’ with me for years, called me last night to check in, and he was like, ‘I bet you got a six pack right now, man. Broadway gives you a six pack!'” Gustin said with a laugh. “And actually, considering I haven’t been going to the gym — yeah, my legs and my core have stayed in pretty good shape doing this show.”
