Day 1 : Fly to California

Our tour begins with a comfortable flight to Los Angeles. Upon arrival, we check in to our fabulous hotel for a five-night stay.

Day 2 : Float Viewing

Enjoy a delicious, included breakfast at the hotel every morning of our trip. Our day begins with a visit to Pasadena, where we get up-close views of the hand-crafted floral floats in their final stages. We also visit Universal CityWalk, a popular dining, entertainment, and shopping promenade. This afternoon, we take in the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum, one of California’s most unique destinations. See a variety of exhibits such as Air Force One, the National Treasures Gallery, a tribute to First Lady Nancy Reagan, and the Oval Office. Tonight is yours to spend as you please.

Day 3 : Warner Bros. Studio & New Year’s Eve Gala

We start our morning with a fantastic Warner Bros. Studio VIP tour, where we get an immersive look at how the magic of Hollywood is made at Stage 48: Script to Screen. Here you can go behind the scenes of Harry Potter and browse authentic props, build your own costume on the interactive design station, or view authentic headshots and audition reels on the high-definition touch screen casting table. Afterward, have lunch at the Santa Monica Pier with time to explore this seaside amusement park and shopping area. Tonight, we are guests at an exclusive New Year’s Eve Gala. Our evening features dinner, wine, and live music for our listening and dancing pleasure. At 9:00 PM (midnight Eastern Time), we ring in the new year with a champagne toast!

Day 4 : The Rose Parade

Happy New Year! We kick off our first day of 2025 with the most exciting part of our trip – the Tournament of Roses Parade. Enjoy reserved seating as we take in the fun, flowers, and music at this grand event, exclusive to the streets of Pasadena. To commemorate our time at the parade, we receive a souvenir seat cushion and program describing the floats, bands, and equestrian units. Following a boxed lunch, we return to our hotel for free time to relax in the pool or watch football games, such as the Cotton Bowl, Citrus Bowl, and famed Rose Bowl! You may also choose to pursue other interests on your own, including attending the Rose Bowl independently. (Guests are responsible for purchasing their own tickets and arranging transportation to this game.)

Day 5 : Hollywood & Farmers Market

Today we join a local guide for a spectacular tour to see the best sights of Hollywood, including the TCL Chinese Theatre and Hollywood Walk of Fame. Our city exploration concludes at the original Los Angeles Farmers Market. Enjoy lunch on your own with time to browse over 100 shops, restaurants, and grocers. This evening, we gather to celebrate our New Year’s getaway with a wonderful Farewell Dinner.

Day 6 : Fly Home

We return home with new friendships and special memories of our New Year’s celebration and the spectacular Rose Parade.

The Millennium Biltmore Los Angeles is a full service hotel in downtown Los Angeles. The Biltmore has been home to Presidents , Kings , and Hollywood celebrities. 

The Sonesta Redondo Beach is  9 miles South of The LAX Airport and directly across the street from the Marina and nice restaurants. The Sonesta has a rooftop swimming pool with a panoramic view of The Pacific Ocean.

The Huntley Hotel Santa Monica   which is a short walk to the ocean, Santa Monica Pier and the 3rd Street Promenade where there are many restaurants, cafe’s   and entertainment areas.  The Huntley has a really nice restaurant and lounge on the top floor of the hotel with a panoramic view of the ocean. Santa Monica is ten miles North of The LA Airport and is three miles from Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive.

• January 1 – Admission to a large float decorating barn in the city of Irwindale. You will see approximately 10-12 floats being worked on and finished before they are judged.

The seats are located at 318 West Colorado. We are in a large grandstand where the bands are normally playing. Our buses park 20 yards from the parade seats . Your parade seats can be assigned when your reservation is made and we can accommodate any special requests.
• A nice sit down lunch at a restaurant in Pasadena after the Rose Parade.
• Post float viewing at Victory Park   after the conclusion of the parade and lunch. You will be able to walk around Victory Park  and see the floats up close.

Our grandstand seat location is 10 minutes from the front of the Rose Parade with the sun at your back . The seats are located at 318 West Colorado. The bands are playing in front of us as they like to play in front of the larger grandstands and take a break in front of the smaller seating areas. Our buses park 20 yards from the parade seats . Your Rose Parade seats can be assigned when your reservation is made and we can accommodate any special requests.
• Post Rose Parade float viewing tour at Victory Park after the conclusion of the parade and lunch. You will be able to walk around Victory Park and tour the parade floats up close. ALL OF THE FLOATS ARE IN ONE LOCATION.

Float Decorating Barn

DECEMBER 31 – You will be visiting the Phoenix Decorating Barn in the city of Irwindale. Phoenix Decorating is the largest float builder in the parade. You will see volunteers working on the floats. The fee is $100 per person and includes: admission, transportation, and a grab and go lite breakfast to take with you on the bus.

DECEMBER 30 – You will be visiting the Phoenix Decorating Barn in the city of Irwindale. Phoenix Decorating is the largest float builder in the parade. You will see volunteers working on the floats. The fee is $100 per person and includes: admission, transportation, and a grab and go lite breakfast to take with you on the bus. (You would need to arrive on DECEMBER 29th for this option, so you would need an extra night added to your package.)

**My humble opinion, going to the barn on December 30 is a better experience than on December 31 but both experiences are nice.

DECEMBER 30 – Catch a sneak peek of some of the Rose Parade Bands as they perform their halftime show. This event is held at the Pasadena City College. The fee is $125 per person and includes admission as well as transportation. (You would need to arrive on December 29 or arrive to the Hotel by 11am on December 30 for this event)

DECEMBER 30 – Combine The FLOAT BARN in the morning with a few hours in OLD TOWN PASADENA with BANDFEST in the afternoon. The fee is $180 per person. When the group is finished at The Float Barn we will drop you off in Old Town Pasadena for 2.5 to 3 hours where you can walk around and get a bite to eat on your own. When we are finished in Old Town Pasadena we will proceed two miles to BANDFEST. The pre show starts at 1:30PM , the main show starts at 2PM ,  The show normally lasts close to 2 hours and then we return to the hotel.

DECEMBER 31 –  Approximate times- 8:45AM- 4PM,  The tour will have 4-5 stops along the way and stop for Lunch AT FARMERS Market. The fee is $125 per person.  Lunch is not part of the $125 fee.

The Rose Parade

Beautiful Pasadena California is home to the Tournament of Roses Parade . More commonly known as The Rose Parade. The Rose Parade has been around since 1890. It occurs annually on new years day, or on Monday, January 2 if New Year’s Day falls on a Sunday. Now, Diamond Travel hasn’t been going to the parade since then, but we have  been taking folks to the parade for over 35 years! Our seats will have the sun at your back and the parade in your view! The parade has followed the famous Colorado blvd for decades. Tickets to the rose parade start at about $80 and can be as expensive as, $120. Hotel and transportation costs however, can be extremely pricey. With our all inclusive packages, you won’t have to worry about the mounting costs of such a trip. We have it all planned out for you! The Rose Parade is absolutely back in full swing now, so call today and get your all inclusive rose parade package with Diamond Travel. Always a favorite, this tour highlights a behind-the-scenes look at the fantastic Rose float construction, reserved seating at the Rose Parade, a Warner Brothers Studio Tour and a visit to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library!

A Premiere Bucket List Event!

For millions of people around the world, the Rose Parade is an iconic New Year’s Day tradition. The Rose Parade travels 5 ½ miles down Colorado Blvd. and features four types of entries: floraldecorated floats entered by a participating corporation, non-profit organization or municipality, equestrian units, bands, and Tournament Entries. Rose Parade participants have long histories with the Tournament of Roses and keep the traditions alive. The earliest Tournament of Roses welcomed 3,000 spectators to its first parade filled with beautiful, horsedrawn carriages covered in flowers. More than a century later, the parade floats are a marvel of state of the art technology, all tucked away beneath flowers and other all-natural materials.

A History of the Tournament of Roses

In 1890, Valley Hunt Club members, led by Charles Frederick Holder, sponsored the first Tournament of Roses. The abundance of flowers, even in the midst of winter, prompted the club to add a parade before the competition, where entrants would decorate carriages with hundreds of colorful blooms.

“In New York, people are buried in snow,” announced Professor Charles F. Holder at a Club meeting. “Here our flowers are blooming and our oranges are about to bear. Let’s hold a festival to tell the world about our paradise.”

More than a century later, the parade floats are a marvel of state of the art technology, all tucked away beneath flowers and other all-natural materials. Every New Year, visitors experience the beauty of the floral floats along with spirited marching bands and high-stepping equestrian units along the 5 1⁄2 mile route down Colorado Boulevard.

The Great Rose Bowl Hoax

The Great Rose Bowl Hoax was a prank at the 1961 Rose Bowl, an annual American college football bowl game. That year, the Washington Huskies were pitted against the Minnesota Golden Gophers. At halftime, the Huskies led 17–0, and their cheerleaders took the field to lead the spectators in the stands in a card stunt, a routine involving flip-cards depicting various images for the audience to raise. However, students from the California Institute of Technology managed to alter the card stunt shown during the halftime break, by making the Washington fans inadvertently spell out CALTECH.

The prank has been described as the “greatest collegiate prank of all time” and received national attention, as the game was broadcast to an estimated 30 million viewers across the United States by NBC. One author wrote, “Few college pranks can be said to be more grandly conceived, carefully planned, flawlessly executed, and publicly dramatic” than the Great Rose Bowl Hoax.

Go behind the scenes to see how the Rose Parade floral floats are constructed and decorated. The volunteers are thrilled to let you discover the final stages of float decorating before their debut in the parade! Enjoy lunch on your own before a guided tour of the legendary entertainment mecca, Warner Brothers Studio Tour. You’ll get closer than ever before to iconic backlots and soundstages of today’s hottest TV shows and movies. Gather for a special dinner celebrating “New Year’s Eve!” Return to the hotel to be ready to rise early the next morning for the celebrated Rose Parade. B, D

DAY 5: TOURNAMENT OF ROSES PARADE

Travel up 1,134 feet to the Griffith Observatory on the slope of Mount Hollywood; the site offers spectacular views of LA and the Hollywood Sign. Orange luggage tags are provided and are to be placed on your “checked luggage” (large bag). You do not need a tag for your carry-on bag, for which you will be responsible for taking on and off the coach. There is limited space in the cabin of the coach, so unless you require your carry-on bag while traveling, we will stow it in the luggage compartment.

On the first and last nights of this tour, you are welcome to pack your carry-on bag with essentials that would enable us to leave your “checked bag” on the coach. This will facilitate faster check-in and luggage delivery. This is not a requirement, merely a suggestion; we will deliver your “checked bag” to your room on the first and last night if you desire, just like every other night of the tour.

Each reservation requires a $250 per person deposit planning fee (exceptions may apply) to be credited toward your final payment. Some or all of your deposit may be non-refundable per our cancellation schedule noted in these Terms & Conditions below. We are happy to accept cash, check (preferred) or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover) for your deposit.

Throughout 2021 we limited capacity on all our tours. This policy was so overwhelmingly popular by Sunrise travelers, we have made it permanent. In 2022 and beyond, we will limit the capacity on our motorcoaches to 80%. Most Sunrise Tours travel on 50-seat coaches with extra legroom, which means guests will enjoy extra legroom AND at least 6-8 empty seats. In the rare cases when we charter a 55-seat coach, there will be at least 10 open seats on the bus.

Our popular on-board refreshment service on travel days will feature a variety of soda, beer, wine spritzers, juices and sparkling water choices served in recyclable aluminum cans. This is a safe and eco-conscious way for us to deliver the ever-popular Sunrise Tours “happy hour” on tour. We do not typically serve bottled water and ask that while on tour you be responsible for your own hydration and consider the Sunrise Tours drink service a welcome refreshment.

We are excited to offer this popular tour once again. Join us for the world’s most famous parade – the “ Tournament of Roses Parade ” in Pasadena on New Year’s Day. We’ll celebrate New Year’s Eve with our own private dinner party with entertainment and dancing in nearby Claremont at the Doubletree Hotel. New Year’s Day we leave the hotel about 6:15am after breakfast to be in our reserved seats by 8:20am, and the parade begins passing our spot at about 8:50am. After the parade, we’ll have lunch then return to our hotel to rest, watch the bowl games and visit with friends. The next day, we’ll travel back into Pasadena to view the floats close-up and see how they are decorated with real flowers, leaves, grains, etc. After lunch, we’ll be on our way back to Lake Havasu. Seeing these magnificent floats up close is an experience you’ll really appreciate and will never forget so don’t delay making your reservations for this tour. This tour usually fills quickly. Final Payment is due to Tauck  90  days before departure for lands trips, and  120  days before departure for cruises and rail journeys. If your deposit was made by credit card, final payment will be automatic unless you opted out at time of booking. Bookings without full payment at this time may be subject to cancellation without notice. Failure to make payment will be a considered a cancellation by the guest and all applicable cancellation fees will apply.

Tauck's Event Protection

Tauck's Event Protection Plan provides you with cancellation protection before your journey begins as well as insurance benefits while you are traveling. Guest Protection includes the following:

Cancellation Waiver – Provided by Tauck:

Under Tauck's Cancellation Fee Waiver you can cancel your tour for ANY REASON and Tauck will reduce the regular cancellation fees outlined herein, provided we are notified of cancellation before your cruise departs. Certain terms and restrictions apply (see below*).

*Extreme Circumstances:  In the event of an act of God, war (whether declared or undeclared), terrorism, accident, natural disaster, outbreak of disease, or other event or circumstance beyond our control that contributes to or results in cancellation rates above our historical cancellation rates in the absence of such event or occurrence, Tauck reserves the right to issue a credit to you in lieu of a money-back refund, applicable to a future Tauck journey.

Travel Insurance Benefits – Underwritten by United States Fire Insurance Company.

    •     Trip Cancellation –  Should you cancel for covered reasons, the plan reimburses cancellation fees imposed, up to your total trip cost.

    •     Trip Interruption –  If you have to interrupt your tour for covered reasons, the plan provides reimbursement to catch up to your tour or return home.

    •     Travel Delay –  Provides reimbursement for missed, prepaid travel arrangements if you are delayed by a common carrier, natural disaster, unannounced strike, or other reasons as cited in the plan.

    •     Medical Expense –  Reimburses covered medical expenses incurred in the event you become injured or sick during your trip.

    •     Baggage / Personal Effects Protection –  Provides reimbursement in the event your luggage or personal effects are, lost, stolen, damaged or delayed during your trip.

Worldwide Emergency Assistance Services –  Provided by Carefree Travel Assistance; 24-hour emergency telephone assistance hotline for medical and travel related problems.

The cost of Tauck's Event Protection Plan is $329  per person.

This plan provides cancellation coverage for your trip and other insurance coverages that apply only during the covered trip. You may have coverage from other sources that provides you with similar benefits but may be subject to different restrictions depending upon your other coverages. You may wish to compare the terms of this policy with your existing life, health, home and automobile policies. If you have any questions about your current coverage, call your insurer, insurance agent or broker.

This optional Event Protection must be requested at time of booking and fee must be included in initial payment. Details will be provided with written confirmation of your reservation. Event Protection does not protect travel agent commissions. Reimbursements will be made according to original method of payment. The amount of any refund shall be reduced by any recoveries obtained by you from any third parties.

If You Have To Cancel

Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed bookings. Therefore, the fees listed will apply.

Guests choosing to purchase Tauck's Event Protection Plan will incur cancellation penalties per person as follows:

90 days or more before departure: $400 per person, plus loss of Event Protection fee, per person  89 – 45 days before departure: $800 per person, plus loss of Event Protection fee, per person 44 – 1 days before departure: $1,200 per person, plus loss of Event Protection fee, per person Cancellation Fees without Tauck's Event Protection Plan: 90 days or more before departure: $600 per person 89 – 45 days before departure: $1,000 per person 44 - 1 days before departure: $2,000 per person

Time of cancellation will be when notice is received in our Wilton Woods, CT office.

Note:  All Guests, regardless of residency, who book a Tauck journey have the option of purchasing the Cancellation Waiver provided by Tauck in the event they need to cancel their trip after making their reservations. Tauck's Cruise & Event Protection, which includes both the Cancellation Fee Waiver and the Travel Insurance Benefits and Assistance Services described above, is not available to residents of Puerto Rico.

Travel Requirements For This Tour

Travel Documents

Real ID Act - Effective May 3, 2023

Beginning in May, 2023, some state IDs will no longer permit you to board a domestic flight. Currently, some states are compliant, some have received extensions, and some are not compliant. Click here  to see the status of your state. If your state license is not compliant, you can use a passport in lieu of a valid state ID. 

Note: The federal government has extended the deadline to May 3, 2023 for domestic airline passengers to secure a Real ID driver's license for use as identification at the airport. Travelers without a verified license or ID card will also have the option of showing other identity documents, such as a passport or military ID to board a plane.

If you are a citizen of another country traveling to the U.S., you should contact an embassy or consulate of the U.S. to determine what travel documentation is necessary. You may also log on to the U.S. State Department's Internet site by clicking here .

If you are traveling by air to join and/or depart from this tour within the U.S., please read the section above entitled Airline Security Measures to determine what travel documentation is required.

If you are a citizen of the U.S. or Canada who travels frequently between the two countries , you may benefit from the NEXUS program, which is a joint initiative between the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency and the Canada Border Services Agency that allows pre-screened and approved travelers faster processing at designated highway lanes in high-volume border crossing locations, at a NEXUS kiosk at several airports, and at certain marine reporting locations in the Great Lakes and Seattle regions. For further information, you may log on to the Nexus Internet website by clicking here. Please note that longer stays abroad for any purpose may require additional travel documentation.

We recommend that you make at least two photocopies of all the travel documents that you bring with you. Include copies of the photo page of your passport that contains the date of issuance, the date of expiration and your citizenship. Secure one set of copies in the safe in your room while traveling and leave one set behind with someone at home who will assist you in the event your documents are misplaced, lost or stolen.

Please note that you must present a license or photo ID to enter Warner Bros. Studio on "Hooray for Hollywood" sightseeing track.

Travel with Children Age Recommendations – The minimum age requirement on this Tauck event is 5 years of age or older at the time of travel. Based upon our experience with family travelers, we have a minimum recommended age of 10 for this event to encourage comfort and enjoyment for all of our guests. All children must be accompanied on activities by a parent or guardian. At least one guest in the traveling party must be 21 years of age or older in order to make a reservation. Please Note: Children under 5 years of age are not permitted on the Warner Bros. Studio Tour. Babysitting – Our journeys are designed for adults and children to share the wonder of discovery together. If you require babysitting services, your Tauck Director will put you in contact with the appropriate hotel staff with whom you may make babysitting arrangements. There is usually an additional fee for these services. Many hotels do offer on-site babysitting services; however, babysitting services may not be available at all of our hotels. Please note that our Tauck Directors are not responsible for providing babysitting services.  Safety and Welfare Responsibility ― We welcome the participation of child travelers on our exciting excursions. If you are traveling with a child on a Tauck journey, you have the sole responsibility for ensuring that that the child with whom you are traveling follows all rules of safety throughout the tour. By traveling with us, you release Tauck, Inc. and our partners of all liability for any risks and/or injuries to the child with whom you are traveling. 

Weather in Southern California varies moderately with the seasons. December and January in the Los Angeles area are typically very comfortable with little rain, warm days and cool nights. In December and January the average high temperature is about 68 °F (20 °C) in the daytime and the average overnight low temperature is about 48 °F (9 °C). The region averages 1.9 in (49 mm) of rainfall in December and 3.3 in (85 mm) in January. The air is typically very dry, and the daytime temperatures can drop up to 20 °F or 11 °C by evening.

What To Pack

Dress for comfort and convenience with a wardrobe that is flexible and allows for layering. Casual, cotton resort wear is suggested. For the New Year's Eve Gala event, you may wish to dress up a bit – jacket and tie for men, casually-elegant outfit for ladies - but by all means be comfortable. A light jacket or sweater for late evenings or early mornings is recommended. Comfortable walking shoes that have already been broken-in are advisable.

Bathrobes and hairdryers are provided in each hotel room.

We recommend that you pack an adequate supply of your prescription medication in its original container to last through the entire event, together with a copy of your doctor's prescription (or a letter from your health-care provider on office stationery explaining that the medication has been prescribed for you), a list of the generic names of your medication, your travel documents and a change of clothing in your carry-on bag to avoid any inconvenience in the event that your flight or luggage is delayed.

Following is a list of recommended items to pack for the Celebration of Roses Event:

• Jacket and tie for men
• Casually-elegant outfit for ladies
• Casual daytime wear – shorts, slacks, long and short-sleeved shirts
• Sunglasses, sunscreen, hat
• A light sweater or jacket for cloudy weather or a breezy night
• Binoculars (7x50 preferably)
• Insect repellent
• Camera, lenses, batteries, memory cards and chargers
• Lightweight, comfortable, sturdy walking shoes that have already been broken-in
• Travel alarm clock/cell phone with alarm functions (many hotels do not have clocks in the rooms)
• Reusable zipper lock bags or other waterproof bags
• Rain poncho and collapsible umbrella
• Daypack for camera equipment
• Sundries and toiletries that may be difficult to find en route
• Copies of your travel documents that should be secured in the safe in your hotel room while traveling

Air Information and Luggage Restrictions

Checked Luggage – General

Due to space restrictions, we ask that you please limit your checked luggage to one suitcase per person weighing no more than 50 pounds (23 kg) and with overall dimensions (length + width + height) not exceeding 62 inches (158 cm).

Besides complying with the Tauck restriction noted above, you should also be sure to research and comply with all airline baggage restrictions relating to your flights to and from your Tauck journey. Airlines have become much more strict in enforcing size and weight limits in recent years, and luggage exceeding airline standards for size or weight may result in expensive overage fees or other consequences.

Airlines are free to revise luggage policies without notice, and certain airlines have different baggage allowances for different classes of service. Researching and complying with airline luggage restrictions is the responsibility of the guest, and Tauck cannot be held responsible for any costs or disruptions to travel caused by the failure to research and comply with airline policies.

Please be sure to attach your Tauck luggage tag to your suitcase before leaving home!

Carry-on Luggage - General

Although oversize bags and wheeled, carry-on luggage are popular for airline travel, they are often not convenient or appropriate for motor coach travel or for many on-tour flights. Most modern sightseeing motor coaches offer limited space for numerous or larger items. Space under seats or in the overhead rack is typically small, and designed to accommodate items like coats, hats, purses, and small camera bags, etc.

For your day-to-day travel while on tour, we recommend that you limit your hand luggage to a small, soft-sided carry-on piece, and that you bring only those items you need handy during the day such as make-up, medications, cameras, film, etc. Items too large to fit under the motor coach seat or on the overhead rack must be stored in the luggage bays beneath the motor coach, and may be inaccessible during daytime travel.

The 2024 Rose Parade is about to kick off!

In its 135th year, The Rose Parade will feature tons of celebration ahead of the Rose Bowl college football game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Michigan Wolverines in Pasadena, Calif.

The parade will start at 8 a.m. PST on the streets of Pasadena and conclude at 10 a.m. PT. It will air live on ABC, KTLA 5, NBC, and Univision.

For the first time, the Tournament of Roses will air a livestream of the parade.

The theme for 2024 is “Celebrating a World of Music: The Universal Language.”

Dec 29th – Arrivals – Hotel Check In – Free Day

The Marriott LAX Hotel provides a free courtesy shuttle to/from all the terminals at LAX Airport. For those requiring an airport transfer from LAX.

Airport to/from the Westin Bonaventure Hotel we will provide via Curbside Express Shuttle. We would only need your airline flight information to arrange. For those not requiring Westin Bonaventure Hotel Airport Transfers they may deduct $75. per person from Package total.

Upon Hotel arrival and after check-in, visit the Barker Tours Hospitality Desk in the hotel lobby to pick up your Rose Parade tickets, name badges, daily breakfast coupons, and Rose Parade Programs. Dec 30th – Academy of Motion Pictures Museum – Warner Bros Studio Tour

Academy Museum of Motion Pictures   – spend time exploring the many exhibits in this Hollywood jewel. Its the largest museum in the United States devoted to the arts, sciences, and artists of moviemaking.

Lunch – A stop for lunch at a Los Angeles area eatery will be made courtesy of Barker Tours.

Warner Bros Studio Tour  – explore one of the busiest working studios in Los Angeles with one of our expert Tour Guides, who will take you behind the scenes of the studio that has been entertaining the world for over 100 years.

Dec 31st – Rose Float Construction Barn – L.A. Civic Center – Farmers Market – Hollywood Blvd

Visit the  Rosemont Pavilion Float Construction Barn  in Pasadena where magic is made. You will experience the completion stages of a number of Rose Parade Floats that are built in this Barn.

Drive by the sites in the L.A. Civic Center . See the historic Olvera Street. View the breath taking Disney Concert Hall. View the Art Deco designed Union Train Station and the Cathedral of our Lady of the Angels.

Take a leisure stroll through the famous Farmers Market in the Fairfax District. You will have a chance (at your own expense) to purchase a bite to eat at its many eateries.

Hollywood Blvd  – Journey to the Boulevard of the Stars in Hollywood – Take pictures of the Hollywood Sign from the  Ovation Hollywood  balcony at Hollywood and Highland – See the hand and footprints of the greats of yester year at the Dolby Academy Award Theater.

An early arise and shine for the big day and the breath taking parade. Enjoy an early breakfast before we depart for Pasadena.

Our seats will be located near the start of the Rose Parade. Near the TV cameras on Colorado Blvd. The sun will be at your back which will make for great picture taking of the spectacular Floats.

Lunch – After the Parade we will head to a nice area restaurant for lunch courtesy of Barker Tours.

Santa Monica Beach  – After lunch, take in the sights of the Beach and Pier.

Jan 2nd – FloatFest ($69. Tour Add-On) – Morning Breakfast – Hotel Check Out

FloatFest : This is an opportunity for flower lovers to experience every Float that was in the Rose Parade the day before lined up over a 2-miles stretch near Victory Park in Pasadena. You will have the opportunity to take photos within a few feet of the floats to capture every detail of their handy work. ( $69. additional cost. Approximately 8 am to 1 pm tour.)

Enjoy a great breakfast prior to the 11 am hotel check out.

Following the Parade your tour guide will direct you back to the bus for the trip to the Rose Bowl. Deluxe box lunches will be made available upon your arrival to the stadium via motor coach. (The restaurant luncheon and Floatfest portion will be excluded).

The Rose Bowl Game, “Granddaddy of them all.” will kick off at 2 pm PST. Enjoy the excitement of another one of the great spectacles in sports as this years game will feature 2 participants in the Semi Finals of the College Football Playoffs.

Following the game your motor coach will transport you back to your hotel.

Dec. 30 – Arrival | Hotel Check-in | Introductions

• Upon your arrival at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), shuttles are provided for the short ride to the Los Angeles Marriott Hotel.
• After check-in, visit the Al Brooks welcome desk on the Ballroom level for your welcome packet. This is also an opportunity to meet your tour guide, who will be with you each day of your tour.
• A relaxing night at the 4-star LAX Marriott is the perfect start to the fun and adventure of the Yellow Rose Tour.

Dec. 31 – Float Construction Barns | Farmers Market | Hollywood Tour | Beverly Hills

• Visit the Float Barns as volunteers work around the clock to put the finishing touches on the spectacular Rose Parade floats.
• Join us for a sight-seeing tour of Hollywood.
• Take a break as you journey on your own through LA’s historic Farmers Market, a local favorite food stop since 1934.
• Relax and take in the sights during a motorcoach tour of Beverly Hills. Your guide will point out the many places of interest along your route.

January 1 – The Rose Parade | The Rose Bowl Game (Semi-Final)

• We have a spectacular day planned for you. Be sure to join us for an early breakfast before we depart for Pasadena.
• Celebrate the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena. Take your seat in the grandstands near the television cameras. It’s the perfect spot for taking pictures of the floats, marching bands, and equestrian teams.

Community Leaders Inspire Local Youth at Pasadena Tournament Of Roses’ #ThisGen2024: A Youth Empowerment Forum

PASADENA, Calif. (April 17, 2024) – Today, the Pasadena Tournament of Roses® hosted #ThisGen2024: A Youth Empowerment Forum presented by Pasadena City College, bringing together nearly 1,000 students. Back for the fourth year, #ThisGen2024 focused on empowering the next generation of leaders and gave students the opportunity to learn about inspiring leadership, breaking barriers and aligning passion with skill sets. Attendees were empowered by speakers to be courageous, confident and intentional with the choices that impact their future.

Bringing together hundreds of students from surrounding high schools and colleges, #ThisGen2024 featured an impressive lineup of panelists from some of the most influential sports, entertainment, and technology organizations including Mattel, Angel City FC, Moose Toys, National Football Foundation, William Morris Endeavor and more.

Panelists shared their personal journeys and career wisdom to the audience, with a strong emphasis on appealing to future leaders. Key topics included leadership, overcoming obstacles, and achieving fulfillment through pursuing one’s passions. Attendees also gained valuable insights at the event’s “Career Corner” where students had the opportunity to engage in career-forward conversations in science, technology, entertainment, art and non-profit, and how they can leverage their skills in these fields professionally.

“It’s so important for me to empower the next generation. I think so many times we’re taught a very linear path,” said Stephanie Haggerty, Vice President of Global Marketing at Moose Toys. “This was an opportunity to talk about some of my personal life experiences and let students know that a lot of us go through the same things about imposter syndrome and having doubt.”

Participants learned about career opportunities in art, non-profits, sports, technology and how they can use their talents in the professional world.

“When I walked in, there was a wave of female power, I was in awe of the successful women on stage,” shared Violet C., Diamond Bar High School. “As women, we have our obstacles along the way, and being at ThisGen inspired me to step in my power and take action for what I want.”

Known around the world for our New Year’s Day celebrations, the Tournament of Roses and its 935 volunteer members make up an Association that is active all year long. We take our role as a community partner very seriously, and we are dedicated to giving back to the community around us.
