Hilton Travel Agent Rates 1

Hilton Travel Agent Rates: How Advisors Save 25-50% at Hilton!

Hilton travel agent rates, hilton travel advisory rate restrictions, how much can you save with hilton travel advisor rates, terms & conditions of hilton travel agent rates, hilton travel agent portal, more travel advisor content, hyatt travel agent rates: how advisors save up to 50% at hyatt, ihg travel agent rates: how travel advisors save 50% with ihg.

As a registered travel agent, you are qualified to book Hilton travel agent rates and get a big discount when you stay at Hilton Hotels and Resorts. Keep in mind that these rates are exclusively for registered travel agents and are not meant for the general public.

In this article, we dig into Hilton travel agent rates to see just how much travel agents can save by using these discounts. Here is everything you need to know.

These rates are often called travel agent “familiarization rates” or “fam rates” and are intended to incentivize travel agents to book their clients at Hilton hotels after they have “familiarized” themselves with a specific Hilton property (at a discounted rate).

If you work for a travel agency, the Hilton travel agent program provides discounts of up to 50% off the best available rate.

Quick note: These rates should not be confused with the special rates travel agents can get for their clients at Hilton properties. That is called the Hilton Impresario Rate . This article focuses on the rates Travel Agents can get for themselves.

How to Book Hilton Travel Agent Rates

The process for booking a travel advisor rate with Hilton couldn’t be easier. You will have to go to the Hilton Travel Advisor Booking Page . Then just enter the destination and dates of your trip and click the “Find a Hotel” button.

hilton travel agent rate booking page

You will now see a list of participating Hilton properties in the requested area that have Hilton Travel Agent Rates available. As you can see in the screenshot below, if you are booking in the near future, you may find that your desired hotel is sold out. If this is the case, click on the “select dates” button and it will take you to a calendar view of availability.

hilton travel agent rate search results

The calendar view (below) will give you a month-by-month look at the travel agent rate availability. After looking at this view, you may decide to just push your trip out a day or two so you can take advantage of the lower travel advisor rates.

hilton travel agent rate calendar

The travel agent rates are available for a travel advisor only. When booking a travel agent rate you will receive 50% off at newly opened Hilton hotels and up to 25% off at the remainder of hotels within the Hilton global Portfolio.

Hilton is clearly trying to entice Travel Advisors to check out their new hotels and resorts with a higher discount.

You can only book two rooms at a time with these rates. You must book at least 3 Days in advance at newly opening properties and at least 7 Days in advance with a maximum length stay of 7 nights at existing properties.

Who can use the Travel Agent Rates?

These rates are not available to the general public.  You must be an employee of an airline and be able to present your airline employee ID or, for Travel Agents, you must present your IATAN Photo ID.

IATAN ID Required for Travel Agent Rates

The discounts really aren’t that great for Travel Agents, unless you are booking a room at one of Hilton’s newly opened hotels, where the discount is 50%.

They are better than the publicly available rates but aren’t as good as other Hilton discounts such as the rate you can get with a Hilton Corporate Code .

Hilton travel agent rates are highly discounted rates exclusively for certified travel agents, therefore the following conditions apply:

  • The offer is valid for Travel Agent personal travel only for stays at participating properties in the Hilton portfolio subject to availability.
  • A valid IATAN photo ID is required at check-in. International Travel Agents who do not have an IATAN Photo ID must provide a valid photo ID at the time of check-in.
  • Offer must be booked at least 7 Days in advance of the stay date with a minimum length of stay of 1 night and a maximum length stay of 7 nights. Offer cannot be combined with any other offer.
  • The exclusive discount rate relates to the hotel’s Best Available Rate which is a specific rate type that varies depending on the time of purchase, is unrestricted, non-qualified, and excludes discount or negotiated rates.
  • This Travel Agent offer is NON-COMMISSIONABLE.

Travel Advisors have a dedicated Hilton Travel Agent Site where you can find everything a travel professional would need to know about Hilton including information about commissions, training, and special offers.

Hilton Travel Agent & Airline Employee Rates

I did some research and checked rates at a variety of popular destinations throughout the year to see what I would come up with.  I found the Hilton Travel Advisor discounts much harder to find than similar travel agent rates at Marriott , IHG , and Hyatt .

Hilton For The Stay

Go Hilton Team Member travel program

Booking a go hilton stay.

Eligible Team Members and their authorized family / friends must each log in at the Go Hilton booking site with their own Hilton Honors sign-in and password to manage their own reservations.

Tips for Finding Go Hilton Rates

Use the flexible dates feature.

  • Search for a 1-night stay and click the 'My dates are flexible' box, which will let you see rate availability day-by-day in a calendar view for each hotel you select.
  • Ex: If you searched for 3 nights, but only 2 of the nights have the discount available, the search would come up empty. If you do a 1-night search and use flexible dates, you could see availability day-by-day and see the discount for 2 of the 3 nights, which you could book separately if needed.

Mix and match rates

  • Ex: Team Member rate might be available for 1 night and not the next, but the Family & Friends rate might be available for the other night.
  • If searching for 2 rooms doesn't work, try searching for only 1 room as there may be only one room available at the discounted rate on that particular night.

Be flexible

  • Try to book as far in advance as possible to take advantage of all potential availability. If you don't find what you're looking for right away, come back often. Go Hilton rate availability is based on forecasted occupancy, which can change frequently.
  • More rooms might become available closer to the desired stay date, especially within 60 days of arrival, since stay dates farther out in the calendar may be more limited and are often booked quickly.
  • Consider searching for popular destinations during various seasons or nights of the week when availability may be more plentiful.
  • Plan trips around when you find availability for the discounted rates.

Checking in & staying with Go Hilton Rates

  • Team Members must be present at check-in and for the duration of Team Member rate and Family & Friends rate stays booked in their name and Hilton Honors account.
  • Authorized family and friends must be present at check-in and for the duration of Family & Friends rate stays booked in their name and Hilton Honors account.
  • Non-Team Members, family/friends, etc., cannot use Team Member rates.
  • Authorized family/friends can travel without the authorizing Team Member when staying under their own Family & Friends rates, but the family/friends do need to make their own reservations by signing into the Go Hilton booking site with their own Hilton Honors account.

Number of rooms per stay

  • For each hotel stay, eligible Team Members may reserve up to 2 Team Member rate rooms and 2 Family & Friends rate rooms, for a total of up to 4 rooms in their own name and Hilton Honors number.
  • Team Members’ approved family / friends may reserve up to 2 Family & Friends rate rooms per hotel stay (family / friends must make their own bookings with their own Hilton Honors account).
  • "Extra” Team Member and “Extra” Family & Friends rates are combined with and treated like “regular” Team Member and Family & Friends rates for the maximum number of rooms per stay.
  • Program users may not book rooms for themselves at different hotels for the same stay dates regardless of the rate booked.

Number of nights per stay

  • Eligible Team Members can book up to seven consecutive nights at Team Member rates and up to seven consecutive nights at Family & Friends rates.
  • Approved family/friends may book a Family & Friends rate for seven consecutive nights.

Annual allotment of room nights

  • Each eligible Team Member can book and / or use up to 30 room nights per calendar year under Team Member rates and up to 70 room nights per calendar year under Family & Friends rates, for a total of 100 room nights per calendar year.
  • Each room counts as 1 room night.
  • Usage of Family & Friends room nights by approved family / friends counts against the 70 Family & Friends room nights total.
  • "Extra" Team Member rates and "Extra" Family & Friends rates do not count against the annual room night allotments.

Hilton Honors Points, stay credit, & hotel benefits

Go Hilton Team Member and Family & Friends rate stays are eligible to earn Hilton Honors Points on both room rates and incidentals and stay credit toward the next tier status, based on Hilton Honors terms and conditions. Hilton Honors members are eligible for all standard Hilton Honors hotel benefits when staying under Go Hilton rates, including room upgrades at check-in based on tier status and hotel availability.

Hilton Honors Relocation & Recovery (Walk Policy)

Occasionally, a hotel may find itself in an overbooked situation. All Go Hilton Team Member and Family & Friends rate reservations in such situations are to be honored as any other reservation for a Hilton Honors member; Hilton Honors Relocation & Recovery policies apply the same to Team Member and Family & Friends reservations as to any other reservation type for overbooked situations. The guest should be relocated to another local hotel within a reasonable distance with all the usual Hilton Honors walk benefits based on the guest's tier status.

Code of Conduct

  • Eligible participants traveling under the  Go Hilton travel programs are bound to the Hilton Code of Conduct. Eligible Participants are expected to embody Hilton Values and uphold the exceptional reputation of Hilton during every stay at member properties. Eligible Participants will be held accountable for any undue duress placed on the hosting property. Behavior inconsistent with program rules and our HILTON Values may result in loss of these privileges and disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Family and Friends of Eligible Participants who use the Family & Friends Travel Program are also a reflection of the Eligible Participant. Any inappropriate behavior by Family and Friends may also result in loss of these privileges for the family/friend and the Eligible Participant.
  • Access to Go Hilton discounts may not be sold, auctioned, bartered, brokered, purchased, or otherwise transferred.  Any Go Hilton discounts obtained in this manner will be considered to have been fraudulently obtained and deemed void, resulting in cancellation of the reservations.  This applies to Go Hilton Team Member rates and Family & Friends rates. All such activity is strictly prohibited and will result in loss of Go Hilton privileges for the applicable Team Member and/or Family & Friends and can also result in disciplinary action for the Team Member, up to and including termination. Such fraudulent activity will also lead to closure of the applicable Hilton Honors accounts and forfeiture of any Hilton Honors Points, stay credits, or other related rewards associated with those accounts.
  • The following actions will be taken by the Program for any Hilton Honors members who are fraudulently added to a Team Member's Family & Friends list and/or who fraudulently book or use a Team Member's Family & Friends rate room nights without the Team Member's knowledge and consent:  their Go Hilton / Family & Friends rate reservations will be cancelled by the Program; their Hilton Honors account will be closed; and they will forfeit any Hilton Honors Points, stay credits, or other related rewards associated with that Hilton Honors account. The Program will monitor such fraudulent Hilton Honors members going forward, and such fraudulent activity on any new Hilton Honors account the members open will lead to the same treatment as above on the new accounts.
  • Team Members should inform all family and friends they authorize to use the program of the Go Hilton Code of Conduct and all Program Rules.

Hilton Travel Agent Rates: Up to 45% off - Cover Image

In the world where there’s an app for everything, it’s not easy being a travel agent. Fortunately, it’s still a very rewarding job. An opportunity to help people plan the vacation of their dreams, while also allowing you to explore different cultures and destinations.

Hotels, even today, rely heavily on travel agents to generate revenue. And they leave no stone unturned to make sure travel advisors have the right tools, opportunity, and experience to help sell their inventory.

Like almost every other hotel chain, Hilton offers several benefits, and discounts, apart from commissions to travel agents for client bookings as well as for personal travel.

Some benefits, discounts, and commissions that Hilton offers to travel agents for their clients include a 10% commission on the room rate, preferred room rates at select hotels, and complimentary breakfast for two at select properties.

For personal travel bookings, Hilton offers up to 50% discount on the room rate and access to exclusive travel agent rates.

You can view the latest travel agent offers and other resources on Hilton’s mini site for travel agents.

The biggest advantage of booking directly with Hilton Hotels is that it lets your clients avail Hilton Honors benefits apart from the benefits and commissions you receive as a travel agent.

Up to 50% off – Hilton Travel Agent Rates for Personal Travel

You can book your personal stay at a discounted price on the travel agents personal booking page .

Travel agents get 50% off the best available rate at newly opened Hilton properties. For all other properties, the discount ranges from 10% to 25%.

Booking new properties makes sense for travel agents, as they do get to explore the property before recommending it to their clients. This is a FAM trip equivalent for Hilton properties.

Even though it’s not mentioned in the terms, many travel agents have reported that just like IHG Travel Agents offer , you do earn points and elite nights on discounted rates booked for your personal travel.

In certain cases, you might get a better rate via regular Hilton Honors Promotions and you will also earn reward points and elite status qualifying nights.

Terms for Hilton Travel Agent Rates for personal travel

  • A valid Travel Agent photo ID is required at the time of check-in. IATA, TIDS, ARC, TSI, CLIA, ERSP, SATO and TRUE are accepted. International Travel Agents who do not have IATAN Photo ID need a valid photo ID at the time of check in.
  • Stay must be booked at least 3 days in advance for newly opened properties and at least 7 days in advance for other properties.
  • A minimum of 1 night and a maximum of 7 nights can be booked per stay.
  • There’s a limit of two rooms per travel agent per eligible stay.
  • This Travel Agent rate for personal travel is Non-Commissionable.

Hilton Travel Agent Rates for Client Bookings

Hilton provides travel agents with a commission of approximately 10% on all client bookings, though this percentage may differ depending on the region.

Additionally, Hilton occasionally offers extra incentives through targeted, and public promotions for travel agents.

Here are the current commission rates for Hilton travel agents.

Additional rewards for the US and Canada based Travel Agents

US and Canada based travel agents can sign up for Unlimited Rewards Program to earn loyalty points (= cash) on all Hilton bookings for their clients.

This should be in addition to regular commissions earned as a travel agent.

Even though you need to be based in the US or Canada to enroll for Unlimited Rewards, Hilton Unlimited Rewards are applicable on bookings at Hilton hotels globally.

Unlimited Rewards sends you a prepaid card once you reach $10 and then adds your earnings to the same card.

You earn loyalty cash rewards for booking Avis, Budget, and Hilton. Carey and Embarque no longer seem to be a part of the program.

Event bookings at Hilton hotels and resorts

As a travel professional, you can also help your clients organize events and meetings at Hilton properties.

The process can be initiated on Hilton Events page. However, booking an event is more of a one-on-one negotiation with the hotel and often results in better offerings.

If you are planning an event, do check-out some interesting resources Hilton has put together for events.

Hilton training program for travel agents

If you are new to Hilton hotels, Hilton offers an exhaustive online training program for travel agents. This training program.

You can access Hilton Educational Program here . If you just want a quick overview of various Hilton brands, see Hilton Explore .

This educational program is designed to give you an in-depth look into the various offerings of Hilton Worldwide. You’ll gain insight into the various hotel brands and learn about some new and upcoming projects of Hilton.

Hilton has an excellent program for travel agents. Whether it’s personal travel or booking stays for clients.

Most customers shy away from booking hotels via travel agents, as they assume that such bookings don’t earn them points or elite status benefits. Which is not the case here. Travel agents need to do a bit of customer education/myth busting here.

How to find Hilton travel agent rates

Morten - July 14, 2013 - 1 comment

Save up to 50% with travel agent rates

Hilton, Waldorf Astoria, Double Tree, Hampton, Garden Inn and so on. All these hotel brands within the Hilton family offers some special travel agent discounts to employees in the travel industry. It is possible to get the special rates at all destinations around the world. But it is not possible to get travel agent rates at all dates. Black out dates are mostly in the high seasons at the different destinations.

Hilton travel agent offers

In order to book at these rates you need some proof or ID to show that you work within the travel industry. Remember to find out what proof is needed before you arrive at the hotel. Most of the time they never ask for any travel agent or business card – but prepared if they do. If you do not have a agent ID or business card, sometimes a letter signed by a company manager will also work as proof.

You can search for Hilton agent rates here:

10 most interesting places in Yaroslavl Region (PHOTOS)

travel agent hilton discount

1. H istorical center of Yaroslavl

Church of Elijah the Prophet

Church of Elijah the Prophet

Yaroslavl is located at the confluence of the Volga and Kotorosl rivers. This is the capital of the region (and the unofficial capital of the ‘Golden Ring’ tourist route) and a beautiful city with a thousand-year-long history; some of its landmarks are depicted on the 1,000-ruble bill.

travel agent hilton discount

The city is, at the same time, very modern – with bars and restaurants to satisfy every taste; that said, it is saturated with history and a rich cultural heritage. So, you can stay awhile and spend quite some time visiting attractions and churches… (don’t miss the Yaroslavl Museum-Reserve and the 17th-century Church of Elijah the Prophet!). You can read a detailed guide of Yaroslavl here .

Even if you don’t like to go to museums, we still recommend you to visit the ‘Golden Ring’ show market, where you can see the main attractions of all the ‘Golden Ring’ cities in one room – well, a miniature version of them! It’s not simply static architecture in miniature, it’s an entire living world. Trains and cars move around, power stations are in operation, you can also hear church bells ring. Night comes every 10 minutes; lights spark up in the cities and in the windows of apartment blocks.

Such an attraction is fun for both adults and children! You can see more videos and photos here .

2. Pereslavl-Zalessky

The 12th century Transfiguration Cathedral and the monument to Alexander Nevsky

This is the first city of the region along the way for a tourist en route from Moscow to Yaroslavl. It’s also included in the ‘Golden Ring’. Pereslavl-Zalessky has one of the most ancient surviving churches of Russia – the 1152 (!) Transfiguration Cathedral. Almost every house here has a unique “museum” with its own theme, from vintage irons to gramophone records.

Locomotive Museum in Pereslavl

One of the most unusual ones hides in the forests not far from the city – the Pereslavl Railway Museum under the open sky. Examples of different locomotives and coaches since the beginning of the 20th century are collected there. You can also have a ride on a real draisine (a light auxiliary rail vehicle).

You can read a detailed guide to Pereslavl-Zalessky here .

3. Lake Pleshcheyevo

Lake Pleshcheyevo and the Church of the Forty Martyrs

Lake Pleshcheyevo and the Church of the Forty Martyrs

Pereslavl-Zalessky stands on the shore of quite a large body of water. This lake is famous for the fact that Peter the Great trained his amusement fleet there. A museum stands on the shore, where the small boat ‘Fortuna’ is exhibited, built by Peter the Great himself, according to legend.

‘Fortuna’ boat built by Peter the Great

Near Lake Pleshcheyevo lies an ancient artifact of pagan Russia – the sacred ‘Blue Stone’. This is a giant boulder (estimates say it weighs around 12 tons) that changes its color to blue after rain. The locals worshiped the stone in pre-Christian times, but even after accepting Christianity, the stone was attributed mystical properties (it was supposed that the stone possessed dark powers).

This Blue Stone was considered sacred

Pleshcheyevo is a paradise for eco-tourists; there are a lot of rare birds and animals that livee there, surrounded by a forest and picturesque places. You can stop at one of the recreation bases or pitch a tent and enjoy the view, ride a boat or SUP-boards. There’s also a kiteboarding school; also, during summer, hot air balloon festivals are often held.

4. The Rostov Kremlin

The Rostov Kremlin

The Rostov Kremlin

The next city along the way is Rostov Veliky (don’t mistake it for the southern Rostov-on-Don). Its main attraction is its unbelievably beautiful white-stone kremlin of. It was also captured in popular culture: many scenes of the iconic comedy movie ‘Ivan Vasilievich: Back to the Future’ were shot there.

A still from ‘Ivan Vasilievich: Back to the Future’

A still from ‘Ivan Vasilievich: Back to the Future’

The kremlin is not a defensive fortification like in other cities. It was built as the residence of Rostov metropolitan Jonas III in 1650-1680. The high walls with embrasures and lookout towers are more of a stylization and a tribute to architectural trends.

Inside, you should definitely enter the ancient Dormition Cathedral, admire the iconostasis and frescoes and take a stroll in its picturesque garden. Try pastries with kvass, medovukha or sbiten in the local refectory.

As a souvenir, you can get a decoration item with Rostov ‘finift’, an old local handicraft that originated in Byzantium, involves a technique known as ‘fire writing’.

You can read our Rostov guide here .

5. Uglich – the city where history was made

Uglich, the red church is the Church of Dmitry on Spilled Blood

Uglich, the red church is the Church of Dmitry on Spilled Blood

This small town on a picturesque shore of the Volga River is famous across Russia. Not for its ancient churches or its nature, but as the place where Tsarevich Dmitry was killed, which ended the Rurikid dynasty and paved the way for the ‘Time of Troubles’.

The main attractions are concentrated in the kremlin, with a bunch of souvenir stores and a new embankment with trendy cafes.

Visit the chambers of Uglich princes of the 15th century, as well as the Church of Dmitry on Spilled Blood, built on the place where the tsarevich was killed – it has fantastic paintings inside.

And you can read our detailed Uglich guide here .

6. The city of mice

Myshkin

Cruise ships cruising along the Volga River always stop in the city called Myshkin. It is, probably, the most lovely (and cutest) town in the entire region, a small center which has preserved the spirit of Russian antiquity.

‘Mysh’ is Russian for ‘Mouse’, so Myshkin literally means the ‘Mouse City’. Thanks to its name, the city made the mouse its mascot. And now mice (no, not the real ones!) are all over the place – there’s a special museum dedicated to mice, while there are souvenirs wherever you go: mice of the most diverse varieties!

Mice of Myshkin

Mice of Myshkin

It’s considered a blessing to buy a small clay mouse and put it in your wallet – the locals believe it will attract money. The square, where the Volga River liners dock, offers a dozen types of smoked fish. A marvelous view of the Volga River, meanwhile, opens from the bell tower of St. Nicholas’ Cathedral.

7. Rybinsk – a retro-style city

Retro street signs on the local Red Square

Retro street signs on the local Red Square

Rybinsk is yet another city on the shore of the Volga River. There, you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of rich merchant life – the city was once a true trade center, which also dealt in fish. The Nobel Brothers Museum, who developed the oil industry in the city and on the Volga River, can also be found there.

It’s pure joy to have a stroll in Rybinsk, for, today, the main aspect of the city is that all the signs in the center are made in the retro merchant style. Even modern banks and stores attract visitors with their seemingly pre-revolution signs. Also, Rybinsk has a beautiful and very long embankment and even its own Red Square, which, despite the Lenin monument, is very reminiscent of a typical square somewhere in Europe.

8. The most beautiful village in Russia

The village of Vyatskoye

The village of Vyatskoye

The village of Vyatskoye 40 kilometers from Yaroslavl is considered one of the most beautiful in Russia (at least, according to the ‘Most Beautiful Villages of Russia’ Association). In recent years, it has become a true Mecca for tourists. Its center was restored in the Art Nouveau style of the beginning of the 20th century, right down to stone pavements and vintage buildings.

There are museums to satisfy every taste (including the Museum of Russian Entrepreneurial Spirit), stores with souvenirs and local delicacies, sweets, and liqueurs, as well as a multitude of cafes.

9. Borisoglebsky Monastery

Borisoglebsky Monastery

Borisoglebsky Monastery

There’s an old and very important monastery between Rostov and Uglich. It was founded in 1363 by monks Fyodor and Pavel with the blessing of Sergius of Radonezh himself – who, according to legend, picked this place (he was born not far). The monastery had always been a district center; it was visited by tsars and a village gradually formed around it, after which fairs and trade markets began to be held.

In Soviet times, religious services here stopped and a museum opened instead; but, today, the monastery is operational again. The impressive monastery walls and an imposing gate church speak of its former glory.

Resurrection Cathedral in Tutaev

Resurrection Cathedral in Tutaev

This city received its name after the revolution; before, it was called Romanov-Borisoglebsk. It was known for its mineral oil factory, as well as for its linen and fur manufactures (in the 18th century, the breed of Romanov sheep was bred there).

To this day, you can only reach one part of the city from the other only by a ferry, so get ready to sail or pick only one side of the city for your visit. For example, the Borisoglebsk side, with the unbelievably magnificent 17th-century Resurrection Cathedral. Be sure to study the tiled belt and paintings on its facade; inside, you should definitely approach the cathedral’s relic – the unique three-meter-tall Borisoglebsky Savior icon, which is considered miraculous.
