Twice postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the much-anticipated ‘Rhapsody’ Tour by Queen + Adam Lambert is finally all set to rock its way across the UK and Europe for eight weeks from late May to late July.

The show has been hailed as “the latest astonishing chapter in the story of rock’s greatest band, putting a brand new, highly distinctive spin on over five decades of Queen’s music.” The arena tour begins on Friday, May 27 with the first of two consecutive dates at Belfast’s SSE.

Brian May, Roger Taylor, Adam Lambert and the band then perform at Manchester’s AO Arena on May 30 and 31, moving on to a brace of shows at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on June 2 and 3. They then begin a rarely-achieved residency of no fewer than ten nights at London’s The O2 on June 5, during which time there are also two shows in Birmingham at the Utilita Arena (11 and 12).

In all, the ‘Rhapsody’ Tour will see Queen + Adam Lambert performing 36 shows across Europe. After a two-year wait, audiences will finally have the chance to see the epic new show which drew awe and acclaim on its initial outing in North America in 2019, and became rock’s hottest ticket of the year in the US. The concerts will be the band’s first European dates since the worldwide box office sensation that was the Bohemian Rhapsody biopic .

Queen + Adam Lambert’s all-new ‘Rhapsody’ show – praised as “a marvel of technical advances” – followed its North American outing with 17 stadium concerts across South Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand in 2020 playing to nightly audiences as large as 75,000 when in Sydney, Australia, Queen + Adam performed for Fire Fight Australia, before the show was abruptly curtailed by the unprecedented world lockdowns introduced in April 2020.

Ever the masters of extravagant performance and sumptuous visuals, Queen + Adam Lambert’s newest production is again the work of Stufish Entertainment Architects’ set designer Ric Lipson and lighting designer Rob Sinclair. Both have a long-term association with Queen including the band’s eye-popping News Of The World -inspired touring show of 2017-18.

Lipson describes the two-and-a-half-hour production as “a new chapter in the history of the band. Once again for them expanding the parameters of what a live music experience can be, this new show delivers the band’s most spectacular yet, an innovative and interactive celebration of the continued power of Queen’s music.”

Since Adam Lambert first shared the stage with Queen for the 2009 American Idol final, his dynamic performances have reinvigorated the band and delighted fans worldwide. Starting as they meant to go on, their first full show together in June 2012 thrilled a crowd of half a million strong in the Ukrainian capital city of Kiev. Since then, May and Taylor’s musical fireworks have been matched by Lambert’s vocal prowess and stage presence, making for an explosive combination.

Over 200 gigs later, the partnership has remained a commercial and critical triumph, playing to enraptured full houses in every corner of the world, with total audiences of close to four million. The band’s Live Around The World album, released in October 2020, provided Queen with its tenth No. 1 album in the UK and gave Adam Lambert his first, and topped charts around in the world.

Roger Taylor said: “We are all absolutely gagging to get out there and start filling arenas with Queen again. I was lucky enough to play a tour last October to promote my album Outsider, which was great fun but it was obviously a more modest outing. However, playing with Queen is the real deal. It was so frustrating when the ‘Rhapsody’ Tour was interrupted in March 2020, and it feels as if we’ve been suspended in aspic ever since. But I’m absolutely overjoyed that the half a million or more people who bought tickets for this leg of the tour have kept their tickets. The absolute joy of being able to get out and connect with thousands of people is palpable.”

Brian May said: “Just the thought of getting back on tour is incredibly exciting. I can feel the tension building already! Two years ago we finished the Australia leg of our tour, which included the Fire Fight benefit concert at the ANZ Stadium in Sydney, in front of around 75,000 people. That was like another Live Aid and it was one of the best concerts we’ve ever played. So we were on a real emotional high after that. We’d played the States, Korea, Japan, New Zealand and Australia – and we were then plunged straight into lockdown. So we now have a real obligation to deliver, after postponing these dates twice. We’ve got the crew back together. There will be no compromises. This is a going to be a full Queen show. There’s nothing like it. We are all so excited to see people’s reactions and exceed everybody’s expectations.”

Adam Lambert added: “I am so anxious to get back on stage! It has been incredibly frustrating for all musicians over the last two years, because we really do live for this physical connection with the audience. We had just played an amazing tour of America, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand, and we were all ready to play Britain and Europe, but then lockdown happened. I was very lucky to do a few shows on my own last year – but there is nothing like being on a stadium and arena tour with Queen. It is such a thrill and I am desperate to get out there again.”

Queen + Adam Lambert’s UK and Europe ‘Rhapsody’ Tour includes the following shows:

27 May 2022: Belfast, The SSE Arena 28 May 2022: Belfast, The SSE Arena 30 May 2022: Manchester, AO Arena 31 May 2022: Manchester, AO Arena 2 June 2022: Glasgow, The SSE Hydro 3 June 2022: Glasgow, The SSE Hydro 5 June 2022: London, The O2 6 June 2022: London, The O2 8 June 2022: London, The O2 9 June 2022: London, The O2 11 June 2022: Birmingham, Utilita Arena 12 June 2022: Birmingham, Utilita Arena 14 June 2022: London, The O2 15 June 2022: London, The O2 17 June 2022: London, The O2 18 June 2022: London, The O2 20 June 2022: London, The O2 21 June 2022: London, The O2 24 June 2022: Berlin, Mercedes-Benz Arena 26 June 2022: Cologne, Lanxess Arena 28 June 2022: Zurich, Hallenstadion 29 June 2022: Munich, Olympiahalle 1 July 2022: Amsterdam, Ziggo Dome 2 July 2022: Amsterdam, Ziggo Dome 6 July 2022: Madrid, Wiznik Centre 7 July 2022: Madrid, Wiznik Centre 10 July 2022: Bologna, Unipol Arena 11 July 2022: Bologna, Unipol Arena 13 July 2022: Paris, AccorHotels Arena 15 July 2022: Antwerp, Sportspalais 17 July 2022: Copenhagen, Royal Arena 18 July 2022: Copenhagen, Royal Arena 20 July 2022: Stockholm, Avicii Arena 21 July 2022: Oslo, Telneor Arena 24 July 2022: Tampere, Nokia Arena 25 July 2022: Tampere, Nokia Arena.

Queen + Adam Lambert’s 150-minute career-spanning set list celebrates the band’s extraordinary back catalogue, lining up wall-to-wall immortal anthems like “We Will Rock You”, “Don’t Stop Me Now”, “Radio Ga Ga”, and “Somebody To Love” alongside classic deep cuts and vintage fan favourites. Featuring a dazzling state-of-the-art stage design, incredible special effects and set pieces, this sense-swamping extravaganza has been blowing critics and fans away the world over.

Having extensively toured over the last few years, the Rhapsody show is forever evolving. But it remains at heart a tribute to Freddie Mercury’s majestic legacy, a confirmation of Brian and Roger’s undimmed musical prowess, plus a magnificent showcase for Adam’s vocal skills and electrifying stage charisma, all of which adds up to a glorious full-blooded celebration of one of the greatest songbooks in rock history. TICKETS: Tickets will be available via a general onsale beginning Friday, March 31st at 10AM local time at LiveNation.com .

MORE ON TICKETS:

Queen + Adam Lambert appreciate that it is an enormous task to try and stop scalpers from taking advantage of fans wanting to purchase tickets for the tour. In an effort to help minimize resale and keep ticket prices at face value for fans, the band are collaborating with the venues’ ticketing partners to restrict the ability to transfer tickets for The Rhapsody Tour so that they may only be transferred between fans at the original price.

Fans will still have protection against unforeseen circumstances. Those who purchase tickets and are no longer able to attend their show will be able to sell their tickets at the price they paid using a face value ticket exchange, including the Ticketmaster Face Value Exchange – which is free to use for buyers and sellers. More information on how the Ticketmaster Exchange works is available here .

Unfortunately, the states of NY, IL, and CO have laws in place which protect ticket scalpers – these laws prohibit artists from being able to restrict the transfer of their tickets to face value exchanges only. For shows in these states, Queen + Adam Lambert strongly encourage fans to only buy or sell tickets to one another on face value exchanges. More information can be found here , with more details to follow in the coming weeks.

Live reviews

I'd like to say it was simply amazing! But there was nothing 'simple' about this show. Queen still inspires and rocks young and old! My husband and I have been fans since we first heard them on the radio in the early 70s. Brian May doesn't miss a lick in this show. He is still the best guitarist alive. He holds the audience like no other. I've been to enough concerts and seen that moment when it's time for 'the guitar solo' and people get up and go for another beer or the t-shirt vendor. Not so with Brian! People were in awe...as well you will be, too, if you see this show! Roger Taylor also delivers as solid a performance as I have seen from him, as well. This time around he has a dueling drums gig with his son Rufus who matches him strike for strike. It is a great moment and almost a kind of passing of the guard, dare I say. Roger later performs his song "These are the Days of Our Lives" while scenes of Queen's past are show on the big screen. It's an extraordinary piece. Adam Lambert sings the devil out of Queen's music. There isn't a person alive that I am aware of who could do what that boy does vocally! It was superb! His facial antics were so animated and cute and completely worthwhile. Sadly, when you are in the nosebleed seats, you feel like you have to watch the big screen the whole show to catch all of that. Adam felt a little like he had to stand at the microphone and I was hoping he had a little more stage presence. But that may come with more practice. He is by far the best choice for Queen's frontman since Freddie.

This is a MUST SEE show. Get a cheap seat. Get the last seat. Pay too much! Whatever... just get there if you can.

(On a side note, why are they not performing in more cities or adding shows?!)

Queen and Adam Lambert promised to rock us.....and so they did. With extremely big shoes to fill, Adam held his own. He paid homage to the legendary Freddie Mercury, and did it so well, I know he's up there smiling. Brian and Roger, while visibly a little older still have it. They rocked as hard as they did on the stages 30 years ago. They performed their hits including "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Killer Queen," "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions." Last night's concert happened to be Roger's birthday so Adam the whole 13,000 seat venue sing him Happy Birthday. They also threw in Dragon Attack which wasn't on the regular set list. At the end of the day, these guys brought the house down. From hearing them play from my dad's records when I was a little girl to the cd's in my car, it was a dream come true to witness the legends in what might be their last tour. They truly are the champions of the world. ;)

As a life long Queen fan and idoliser of the great Freddie Mercury I can honestly say the naughty queenies are well and truly back.

Adam Lambert makes no attempt to fill the shoes of Freddie relying on his own amazing voice and flamboyance to breath new life into the greatest band of all time. This new trio backed by the pyrotechnics available in the modern world put on a show that is breathtaking and encompassing their entire back catologue.

Whether you are a 70's or 80's fan of the band you will not be disappointed.

the only disappointment for me is that I don't have tickets for anymore of the shows and would only plea that they don't leave it too long before touring the UK again.

Their majesties still reign supreme.

It's been a unique, mindblowing, memorable show. Brian May continues to be an intact legend, just as good as back in the day.

A show of lights accompanies the whole night and specially the guitar solo part, which is unique.

Adam Lambert has an incredible voice and makes it all seem easy. Makes singing Freddie written notes seem easy. Of course, he is not Freddie and I'm glad he doesn't try to look like him. He's just got his own style which is good, as noone would want to see him pretending to be Freddie. Anyway, his voice is amazing and at the height of the show.

Thank you, Queen, for one of the best shows (if not the best) I've ever experienced.

I wasn't sure what to expect with Adam Lambert. It was very good, maybe better than I thought that it would be, Adam Lambert is NOT Freddie Mercury, but no one will ever be the equal to the best front man in rock and roll history. However, Adam Lambert (who came out looking a lot more like George Michael than Freddie) did a great job. He didn't have the thickness in voice that Freddie has, but he is as close as a person will probably get. For my friends who were wondering if anyone would go to the concert, it was absolutely packed an hour before the start of the concert! PACKED! Very enjoyable night, especially with a good friend!

Queen & Adam Lambert killed it last night in Brooklyn! The crowd was a great mix of all ages and races, it was a beautiful thing! The show started at 8:30 & they played for a good two hours! Adam's vocals were amazing as always, he definitely does a great homage to Freddy! Seeing Freddy on the giant screens was also a treat! Brian and Roger clearly don't let age get in the way! At last 2 great guitar solos and a killer drum solo, these boys still got it! The stage also had an impressive light show and stage effects! If you can catch this show in a town or city near you, you def should!!

Saw Queen and Adam Lambert 18/06/22 at the 02 in London. Now I have seen some gigs in my time but was blown away with this concert it was awesome. Adam was amazing and Brian and Roger were fantastic. Was moved by some of the songs played and great to see Freddie included in the show. Everything about it was superb and can't wait for the next tour as I will be ahead of the queue for tickets as those we have told. Martin Russell, Hessle, East Yorkshire UK.

Brian and Roger still play convinced.

Adam is not my type of singer but at least he can sing every note! They should leave out their acting play though, it was a kind of not fitting into their show. But the music was good and a few numbers in the setlist like 'Stone Cold Crazy' were surprisingly good!

The concert was amazing. Jyske Bank Boxen did a great job and the employes were helpful.

Adam, Roger and Brian blev the roof of Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning and sound, light and stage were perfect!

These guys are legends and being at one of their concerts is a dream come true!

Queen + Adam Lambert began their highly acclaimed Rhapsody Tour of North America on Wednesday (October 4, 2023). Tickets for the 23-date tour, which continues through Nov. 12, are available here .

When the Live Nation-produced tour was announced, the newly knighted May said, “Our last tour featured our most ambitious production ever. So we decided to rip it apart and get even more ambitious. Watch out world.”

As with last year’s U.K. and European dates, the 2023 North American tour see Queen + Adam Lambert supported on stage by their regular band members, long-serving Queen keyboard player and musical director Spike Edney, bass guitarist Neil Fairclough and percussionist Tyler Warren.

From the March 24, 2023, announcement: Queen + Adam Lambert ’s 150-minute career-spanning set list celebrates the band’s extraordinary back catalog, lining up wall-to-wall immortal anthems like “We Will Rock You,” “Don’t Stop Me Now,” and “Somebody To Love,” alongside classic deep cuts and vintage fan favorites. The production features a dazzling state-of-the-art stage design, incredible special effects and set pieces.

Watch them perform “Fat Bottomed Girls” during Act 2 on opening night

Midway through Act 4, Lambert and Taylor performed co-lead vocals on “Under Pressure.”

Having extensively toured over the last few years, the Rhapsody show is forever evolving. But it remains at heart a tribute to Freddie Mercury’s majestic legacy, a confirmation of May and Taylor’s musical prowess, plus a magnificent showcase for Lambert’s vocal skills and electrifying stage charisma, all of which adds up to a glorious full-blooded celebration of one of the greatest songbooks in rock history.

Freddie’s performance with Queen at Wembley in 1986 kicked off the evening’s encores, and continued as the band played “We Will Rock You.”

QUEENSRŸCHE Announces 2025 European Leg Of 'The Origins' Tour

QUEENSRŸCHE has announced the European leg of "The Origins Tour", set to take place in January/February 2025.

The band said: "We are excited to announce 'The Origins Tour Part II' for our European and United Kingdom fans where we will once again be performing songs from both the EP and 'The Warning' in their entirety!! We will be joined by our special guests NIGHT DEMON on all dates. General on sale starts THIS Friday!!"

Tour dates:

Jan. 31 - Kulttuuritalo - Helsinki, Finland Feb. 02 - Fryshuset Klubben - Stockholm, Sweden Feb. 03 - Rockefeller - Oslo, Norway Feb. 04 - Pustervik - Gothenburg, Sweden Feb. 06 - Pumpehuset - Copenhagen, Denmark Feb. 07 - Matrix - Bochum, Germany Feb. 08 - Substage - Karlsruhe, Germany Feb. 09 - Effenaar - Eindhoven, Netherlands Feb. 11 - Academy 2 - Manchester, UK Feb. 12 - XOYO - Birmingham, UK Feb. 14 - Marble Factory - Bristol, UK Feb. 15 - Electric Brixton - London, UK Feb. 17 - Le Trianon - Paris, France Feb. 18 - Komplex - Zürich, Switzerland Feb. 19 - Backstage - München, Germany Feb. 20 - Magazzini Generali - Milan, Italy Feb. 22 - Simm City - Vienna, Austria Feb. 23 - Dürer Kert - Budapest, Hungary Feb. 25 - Palladium - Warsaw, Poland Feb. 26 - Metropol - Berlin, Germany Feb. 28 - Fabrik - Hamburg, Germany

Although QUEENSRŸCHE would score multi-platinum albums and hit singles over their career, their fans have developed an undeniable love for the group's early releases, the 1983 EP and 1984's "The Warning" album, when they helped trailblaze a style of rock that combined elements of metal and prog. And for the first time ever, QUEENSRŸCHE is performing both classic releases in their entirety as part of "The Origins Tour" .

When the U.S. leg of "The Origins Tour" was first announced, singer Todd La Torre said in a statement: "We are thrilled to bring to you 'The Origins Tour' . This will be the first time in QUEENSRŸCHE 's history that the EP and 'The Warning' will be performed live in their entirety."

He added: "Join us for this unique and very special experience, as we celebrate the origins of QUEENSRŸCHE . Take hold!"

Early last year, QUEENSRŸCHE completed its 2023 U.S. headlining tour with support from former MEGADETH guitarist Marty Friedman and TRAUMA . On that tour, QUEENSRŸCHE 's 18-song set included no less than five songs from the band's sixteenth studio album, "Digital Noise Alliance" , which came out in October 2022 via Century Media . The record was once again helmed by Chris "Zeuss" Harris , who previously worked with QUEENSRŸCHE on 2015's "Condition Hüman" and 2019's "The Verdict" LPs.

Stone , who rejoined QUEENSRŸCHE in 2021, contributed guitar solos to the band's latest studio album.

Since late May 2021, Stone has been handling second-guitar duties in QUEENSRŸCHE , which announced in July 2021 that longtime guitarist Parker Lundgren was exiting the group to focus on "other business ventures."

Stone originally joined QUEENSRŸCHE for the 2003 album "Tribe" and stayed with the band for six years before leaving the group.

For the past seven years, drummer Casey Grillo has been filling in for original QUEENSRŸCHE drummer Scott Rockenfield , who stepped away from the band's touring activities in early 2017 to spend time with his young son.

In October 2021, Rockenfield filed a lawsuit against guitarist Michael Wilton and bassist Eddie Jackson , alleging, among other things, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty and wrongful discharge. A few months later, Wilton and Jackson filed a countersuit against Rockenfield , accusing him of abandoning his position as a member of the band and misappropriating the group's assets to his own personal benefit. That dispute has since been settled out of court.
