The venue was also great, the queue went really fast, there was a cloakroom and a bar.

The sound was perfect, one of the best I have seen during a concert. Obviously, it was a fantastic place for such events.

Payable on death was amazing as always and I loved the smaller venue at the Royal versus the larger ones that they normally play. The energy was great and they brought down the house Southtown style. I had VIP's along with my brother and we missed the meet and greet before the show. But after talking to the guy running their merch table (forgot his name). He talked to Sonny and we were able to talk to the guys on the bus and take pics and get signatures. This was the coolest part besides the set itself. P.O.D. is my all time favorite band and have been listening to them for over 20 years and think that it's cool that they connect with their fans and treat you like family. Highly recommend seeing them as I love to do when they are in town out close by. Marcus Vega

POD were worth the wait.

What a performance. Being a bit of a muso I liked the guitarist, very like the records. Very well played.

Overall we felt they were tenatative to start but the energy of the crowd built to a fitting crescendo.

JINJER Announce 2022 U.S. Tour with P.O.D.

Vended, Space of Variations, and Malevolence are also joining the trek

Progressive groove metal juggernauts JINJER recently announced that with the support of the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture, they were granted a special exemption to exit Ukraine in order to help their countrymen the best way they can – through music – and since hit the road on their just-wrapped European tour. 

Now, the band is returning to the U.S. this fall for a headlining tour with very special guests P.O.D. The trek kicks off on beginning October 31 in San Diego, CA and wraps up on December 22 in Los Angeles, CA. Additional support on select dates will come from rising American metal stars Vended (October 31 – November 23)English groove/metalcore force Malevolence, (December 7 – December 22). Fellow Ukrainian modern metalcore unit Space of Variations are tagging along for the full run.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, August 26 at 10am local time. Additionally, Citi is the official card of JINJER’s USA tour, and Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets beginning Tuesday, August 23 at 11am EST until Thursday, August 25 at 10pm local time through the Citi Entertainment program. Ukrainian Metal Band Jinjer Announce Fall 2022 US Tour with P.O.D.

Vended, Malevolence, and Space of Variations will also provide support

Ukrainian metallers Jinjer have announced a Fall 2022 US tour with direct support from P.O.D.

Vended (featuring the sons of Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and Shawn “Clown” Crahan) and Malevolence will support select dates, while fellow Ukrainian act Space of Variations will also be on board for the entire outing. The extensive tour kicks off on October 31st with a Halloween show in San Diego and runs through December 22nd in Los Angeles.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday (August 26th) at 10 a.m. local time, but pre-sales have already begun for Citi cardholders and fan club members, followed by a Live Nation / Ticketmaster pre-sale beginning Wednesday (August 24th) at 10 a.m. local time (use code APPLAUSE ). Pick up tickets via Ticketmaster .

Jinjer recently wrapped up a European tour after being granted permission to leave the war-torn Ukraine by the nation’s Ministry of Culture. The band hopes to continue raising awareness and money while traveling abroad and overseas.

“We are very honored to announce that together with the help of the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture, we have successfully been granted permission to travel abroad as ambassadors of our country to raise funds and awareness about the war raging back home,” the band’s bassist Eugene Abdukhanov remarked back in June. “This is a huge honor for us as a band and as citizens. We will do our part to make sure that this war stops as soon as possible! Come support, dance and scream your hearts out for Ukraine!”

About p.o.d..

Payable on Death (abbreviated P.O.D.) is a Christian nu metal band formed in 1992 and based in San Diego, California. The band's line-up consists of vocalist Sonny Sandoval, drummer Wuv Bernardo, guitarist Marcos Curiel, and bassist Traa Daniels. They have sold over 12 million records worldwide. Over the course of their career, the band has received three Grammy Award nominations, contributed to numerous motion picture soundtracks and toured internationally. With their third studio album, The Fundamental Elements of Southtown, they achieved their initial mainstream success; the album was certified platinum by the RIAA in 2000. Their following studio album, Satellite, continued the band's success with the singles, "Alive" and "Youth of the Nation", pushing it to go triple platinum.

Jinjer Announce 2022 Tour With P.O.D., Vended, Space of Variations and Malevolence

This fall, Ukrainian prog metal band Jinjer will set out on a headlining tour which also features special guest P.O.D. with additional support coming from Vended , Space of Variations and Malevolence , making for one hard-hitting lineup.

Jinjer will be out in support of last year's  Wallflowers , their fourth studio which yielded new fan favorites, such as "Vortex" and "Call Me a Symbol." Their intention was to be part of Slipknot 's Knotfest Roadshow North American tour earlier this year, but in early March the band elected to withdraw and put their focus on friends and family in their home country of Ukraine amid the early breakout of the war waged by Russia.

In late June, the Ukranian government named them official ambassadors to the country with the all-clear given to commence touring the globe.

Tickets for the tour will go on sale on Aug. 26 at 10AM local time and Citi cardmembers will have access to a pre-sale, which begins at 11AM ET on Aug. 23 and ends at 10PM local time on Aug. 25.

P.O.D. Drummer Noah “Wuv” Bernardo To Sit Out The Rest Of Current Tour

P.O.D. have announced that their drummer Noah “Wuv” Bernardo will be sitting out the remainder of their their 20th anniversary tour in support of their 3x multi-platinum 2001 album, “ Satellite “. From Ashes To New , All Good Things and Sleep Signals round out the bill on that run.

In a statement issued today, September 25th the group stated:

“Family – The Satellite Tour 21 is a traveling celebration of an album that the band owes so much to. With every show, we’re reminded of the accomplishments we have made together over the years. With that in mind, we want to let you know that Wuv will not be finishing out the remainder of the tour. We assure you that everyone is healthy and we look forward to seeing you soon. – P.O.D. .”

P.O.D. announce reissue of ‘When Angels & Serpents Dance’

P.O.D. have announced a reissue of When Angels & Serpents Dance !

Originally released in 2008, the reissued version of the album has been remixed and remastered with three bonus tracks not on the original master and is scheduled to be released in October this year via Mascot Records .

Looking back on the record, vocalist  Sonny Sandoval comments,   “It was special because that’s when Marcos came back to the band. We did two records without Marcos , our guitar player, so this was just getting back together and putting aside whatever we had that caused this. This record has all of the elements of us, but it’s actually darker than it sounds in a lot of ways. It’s not one of our heaviest records, but there are a lot of musical elements in this one. I feel like we were just free to be us when Marcos got back in the band. We just had fun and really enjoyed making a record and dong it together as this united brotherhood. It was special to be able to do a record again with Marcos … Right after this record, we actually stopped doing music for about four years. I was going through some personal stuff and needed to take time off. We didn’t know if we were gonna do anything again. But we are happy that we got back together.”

Guitarist  Marcos Curiel adds, “So, I was not in the band for two albums, and this was our first record back.  I basically had something to prove as a songwriter and guitarist. I was like you know what man, I’m back.  I’m one of the OG members with my brothers here we got something to prove. As a songwriter, I was like trying to write something with what was going on with our peers you know what I mean. So, I think that’s what makes this special for me. Personally, I think the overall sound we were flirting with a lot of different elements, and with pop dude, and then you could hear all the different elements on the record.  I am very proud of it actually.  Just stoked for it to be coming out. Because it is a record I think people need to hear.  It is more relevant than it seems the nature of what Sonny is singing about  today . Maybe more so than it was then, as the nature of the song topics and all that.”

Alongside the announcement of the reissue, the band have shared a music video for the remixed and remastered version of the album’s lead track Addicted .

Speaking about the track, Sandoval  says, “We all have friends or family going through something. Without trying to just be so obvious, it is. Sometimes that stuff is out of your control. Once you get to that place in life, it really does ruin your life and take over. But again, how much of it is your choice and how much of it is really just being caught up? A lot of it is about my brother-in-law actually. He is homeless and kind of made that choice that he didn’t want to be a part of society. Like it was easier to just be on his own and do what he wanted to do and have no responsibilities. He struggles with substance abuse. It really stemmed from that. It’s never really always about one person. Whatever the topic is. I’m sure you know someone who is stuck in the same thing. It happened to be about a lot of stuff. I grew up around addiction and people that either died from addiction or it ruined their life because of it.” 

Curiel adds, “As humans, we all have our demons and addictions, whether it is drugs, alcohol, or otherwise.  We could be addicted to social media, or you could be addicted to a negative person, and have a negative outlook.  So for me it just reminds me that you can’t take life for granted and addiction is a real thing.  I think a lot of it comes from mental health and it is a big deal man.  You see people struggling mentally man, and I think a lot of people try to numb it so they find other ways to numb themselves and they get addicted.”
