Dreamcatcher Announced Their ‘Reason: Makes Dreamcatcher 2023’ US Tour Dates

Lai Frances

In the midst of music festivals and tour announcements , another K-pop group is gearing up to make their way to the US once again. And it may be sooner than you think.

Following the release of their special digital single “Reason” last Friday (January 13), and in celebration of their sixth anniversary, Dreamcatcher announced their upcoming US tour of the same name.

Officially titled Reason : Makes Dreamcatcher 2023 , the Dreamcatcher Company girl group is expected to make nine stops in the US beginning next month. The seven-member ensemble — composed of JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami and Gahyeon — will kick off tour in Atlanta, Georgia’s brand new Coca-Cola Roxy concert venue on February 28, followed by stops in major US cities like Washington DC, New York, Reading, Chicago, Denver, Irving, and Oakland before concluding in Los Angeles, California on March 20.

Tickets for Dreamcatcher’s Reason : Makes Dreamcatcher 2023 tour will go on sale on Wednesday, January 19, 2023 at 9 a.m. PT (12 p.m. ET), according to concert tour organizer MyMusicTaste, and the group’s social post on Twitter.

Just last summer, the group concluded the US leg of their [Apocalypse : Follow us] 2022 Dreamcatcher World Tour that was soon followed by the European leg in the fall. The group also made their music festival debut as the first K-pop act as part of Primavera Sound in Madrid, Spain last June.

Dreamcatcher has confirmed the US tour dates for Reason: Makes Dreamcatcher 2023. The tickets for it will be going on sale soon.

The band first made its debut back in 2017 and since then they have managed to gain a large following. On January 17, the K-Pop group confirmed their US tour dates.

Fans were quick to express their excitement as many were delighted to hear that the girls were coming to the US.

Fans react to the news

Fans are really happy that the band will be coming to the US and performing nine shows in total. Some were already gearing up to start saving money to buy concert tickets.

While the price of the tickets has not been disclosed, fans still seem too eager to get their hands on them.

“Can’t we just be excited Dreamcatcher are going on tour again? US somnies didn’t have a chance to see them in person until late 2019 (not counting 2018 Kcon appearance since it was announced last minute) while they toured the rest of the world for 2 years,” one user wrote.

“Dreamcatcher going on tour again? This time they’ll have seats at the Hulu theater,” said another. “Dreamcatcher dropped new tour dates so suddenly and while my body and soul is ready , my wallet isn’t. why do they give such little notice and time to prep???” wrote another fan.

Another fan wrote: “Ok so i was like already planning a trip to ny at the beginning of march and now dreamcatcher is going on another tour there at the same time?!!?! I LOVE MY LIFE.”

Dreamcatcher at Hollywood Palladium

Dreamcatcher tickets, hollywood palladium | los angeles, california.

InSomnias are in for an excellent spring season because the K-pop girl group Dreamcatcher will make their phenomenal return to Los Angeles! On Monday, 20th March 2023, Dreamcatcher is set to perform their biggest hits and crowd-pleasers at the Hollywood Palladium! The show is part of the group’s brand new tour, Reason: Makes Dreamcatcher 2023, which comprises a limited number of shows in select cities! Whether you’re a die-hard inSomnia or a brand new fan, you are welcome to join the dedicated fandom amassed by the incredibly talented girls of Dreamcatcher. Hurry and score your tickets now to catch your bias at the Hollywood Palladium!

While the K-pop industry has been populated by girl crush or cute concepts, here comes the Dreamcatcher, a seven-member girl group with a remarkably unique vision. The group’s music is a mix of pop, rock, and sometimes metal. In fact, they have been compared to the likes of Baby Metal. Meanwhile, some headlines have described them as the “scariest group in K-pop” due to their dark concept. Mind you, this group is overflowing with visuals, excellent vocalists, and rappers. During an interview, member Sua explained why the group went towards rock music instead of contemporary pop's tried and tested formula. “Rock was not a common genre at the time when we were about to debut, so we wanted to experiment with something new and blaze a new trail.”

However K-pop aficionados take it, the group is definitely a standout. Fans are curious, and they want more. Dreamcatcher’s first major trek, the Fly High World Tour, impressively sold out all its shows in under a minute. They quickly followed this outing with the highly-successful Dreamcatcher Welcome to the Dream World. Last year, the group completed ten shows for their Apocalypse: Save Us tour. This 2023, the girls will once again hit the road and embark on their brand new tour, Reason: Makes Dreamcatcher 2023! If you want to be part of this pop-rock extravaganza at the Hollywood Palladium, you better buy your tickets now!

Billboard acclaimed K-pop girl group Dreamcatcher is reuniting with their fans through the REASON : MAKES DREAMCATCHER 2023.

The 7-member girl group garnered attention with their Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart hit “Odd Eye” and their previous releases of chart-topping hits like “BOCA”, “Scream”, and “BEcause”. With their first music show win in Korea through their latest hit “MAISON”, they’ve proven their limitless talents. Showing a variety of charms from strong dynamic tracks with powerful vocals to beautiful soft ballads, Dreamcatcher has captured the hearts of music fans both domestically and internationally.

Dreamcatcher proved their popularity again as world-class idols with their European tour which ended in great success. Dreamcatcher showed off their outstanding live skills, performance and powerful stages, making their fans InSomnia (official fandom name) proud. To repay their fans' support and love, Dreamcatcher released their Special Digital Single [REASON] on January 13th to celebrate their 6th year anniversary. “REASON” contains a message to fans who have been by Dreamcatcher’s side for six years, from their debut title “Chase Me'' to “VISION”, and it’s a promise to those who want to spend more time together.

Dreamcatcher said, “Like the title of 'Reason’, we hope InSomnia (official fandom name) will get our sincerity that only fans can make us cheer up and move forward.”

An INFJ, coffee addict, and a poetry amateur. Not sure.

The apocalypse is taking over the world the way only the Dreamcatcher girls could. About to kick off their new tour  Apocalypse : From Us , as always, we got the details, the dates, and some links, but this time we got a little creative and created our must-have setlist list for it. Will you buzz it with us?

dream catcher tour 2023

Apocalypse: From Us

The  album , released in May that has been on repeat since then, is finally meeting  Insomnias  worldwide, and we couldn’t be more excited. More because this was the closing album for their  apocalypse  trilogy, where they showed that in  K-rock , there are no rules and that nobody does it like them. Okay, okay, let’s start with the setlist!

A song that we are praying to be included on the setlist is ‘Maison.’ One of our favorites, even though it is not part of the album, it’s part of the  trilogy , and it has a magnificent choreography that deserves a time on stage.

If someone asked what track best defines Dreamcatcher, we would 100% say ‘Vision.’ With strong vocals, fast-paced rhythms, precision, and a lot of  rock , this song deserves a spot on the setlist.

‘Bonvoyage’

The title track of this album surely has to be on this list. It’s proof that these girls can do everything right, achieving a perfect synergy between sweet vocals and a touch of rock. Not to mention that it’s an awesome closing song for a trilogy.

‘Propose (Propose)’

‘Propose’ is undoubtedly a song that shows the total versatility of Dreamcatcher. This track is a perfect option to watch live; it really shows how powerful the  girls’ voices  are and how they flow with the rhythm.

A roller coaster of  rhythms , emotions, chords, and immense talent. Damin’s rap is simply a work of art that we need to hear live! Plus, the girls in this song express themselves musically, showing the power of their voices, their style, and the final concept.

Another song off this new album, but they would certainly be a great addition to the Dreamcatcher setlist. This is the ideal song for some headbanging with them live. The power it emanates is almost as immense as the Sahara desert.

T-Pop Boost: These Thai Songs Give Us Major Cravings

Just as SiYeon sang, Dreamcatcher’s fandom and discography feel like paradise. And we can’t wait to see it live. Because we know whatever the songs are on the setlist, it will be one of the best experiences live!

Keep up for the details and get tickets here ! And while you’re purchasing your tickets and listening to Dreamcatcher, come around @thehoneypop and let us know which songs would you add to the must-have list, or which other cities you think they should include on the tour! Don’t forget we have much more for you on our Instagram and Facebook , so come take a look.

Chicago White Sox acquire veteran catcher Max Stassi from the Atlanta Braves

The Chicago White Sox teamed up with the Atlanta Braves for another trade Saturday, acquiring catcher Max Stassi and cash considerations in exchange for a player to be named later or cash.

Stassi, 32, has been on the move in recent days. He was dealt from the Los Angeles Angels to the Braves with infielder David Fletcher on Friday in exchange for first baseman Evan White and left-handed pitcher Tyler Thomas.

Now he’s in line to provide catching depth for the Sox.

It’s the second deal involving the Sox and Braves this offseason. The franchises paired up for a six-player deal Nov. 16 when the Sox sent reliever Aaron Bummer to the Braves for right-handed pitcher Michael Soroka, left-hander Jared Shuster, infielders Nicky Lopez and Braden Shewmake and minor-league right-hander Riley Gowens.

Stassi missed all of 2023 because of stints on the injured list with a left hip strain and the restricted list due to a family medical issue.

He has a career .212/.295/.361 slash line with 41 home runs, 128 RBIs and 136 runs in 403 games during 10 major-league seasons with the Houston Astros (2013-19) and Angels (2019-22).

Stassi had career highs in homers (13) and RBIs (35) in 87 games with the Angels in 2021.

Defensively, his 38.1 framing rate from 2018-22 was the second-best by a catcher in the majors, according to Fangraphs, trailing only Austin Hedges’ 43.5. Stassi’s 24 Defensive Runs Saved ranked third, and his 55.4 Defensive Rating ranked fifth.

Stassi joins Korey Lee and Carlos Pérez as catchers on the 40-man roster.

Billy Crystal waves as he is applauded by Dionne Warwick

‘You’re only 75’: Billy Crystal receives Kennedy Center honor amid Biden age jokes

Crystal lauded alongside Dionne Warwick, Barry Gibb, Queen Latifah and Renée Fleming at annual ceremony

White-haired Robert De Niro , 80, looked up at white-haired Billy Crystal in the balcony. “You’re only 75,” he said mischievously. “That means you’re just about six years away from being the perfect age to be elected president.”

Joe Biden, 81, sitting a few seats away from Crystal, grinned and jokingly wagged his finger at De Niro. The audience at the 46th annual Kennedy Center Honors on Sunday night roared, rose to its feet, turned to look at the US president and applauded and whooped for a full 30 seconds.

It was a reassuring show of solidarity from America’s arts community at a time when Biden is facing doubts not only over his age – he is the oldest president in history – but his handling of the Israel-Hamas war as he seeks re-election next year.

The Washington ceremony offers a unique coming together of actors and ambassadors, comedians and congressmen and women, sopranos and supreme court justices. Notably the supreme court justice Sonia Sotomayor drew a much bigger cheer than the chief justice, John Roberts.

Those honoured were the actor and comedian Crystal, the singer Dionne Warwick , the British singer and songwriter Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees, the rapper and actor Queen Latifah and the opera star Renée Fleming.

Biden, who unlike his predecessor, Donald Trump , has attended the event every year, lauded the work of the five performers during a pre-show reception at the White House. “The performing arts are more than just sound and scene,” he remarked. “They reflect who we are as Americans and as human beings.”

Biden said he had rewatched Crystal’s 1991 comedy western City Slickers earlier in the day and described him as “the American showman with a heart of gold”. The president, who is struggling in opinion polls , added: “He promised me he’s not going to primary me. He could win.”

Joe Biden points a finger and the first lady, Jill Biden, applauds

For Crystal, who has hosted the Oscars nine times, this was a rare night when he was off stage, sitting in the balcony as others paid tribute. Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator of the musical Hamilton, performed a parody of his Oscars act, admitting: “I’ve been dreaming of doing a Billy Crystal-style Oscars medley since I was 10 years old.”

Whoopi Goldberg said Crystal should win an honorary Oscar for his service as the longtime host of the show. The homage also included an on-stage replica of the diner from the celebrated scene in the 1989 romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally when he watches as Meg Ryan’s character fakes a loud orgasm.

Ryan, 62, appeared on stage on Sunday and recalled: “The scene came really natural to me and I really have Billy to thank for that. I’ve actually never been around anyone who made faking an organism easier.”

Rob Reiner, the film’s director, noted that it was Crystal who had written the scene’s now immortal punchline. “Not only was he great as Harry Burns but Bill wrote what I believe is maybe the funniest line in all of movie history: ‘I’ll have what she’s having’.”

Earlier, on the red carpet, Reiner quipped: “I hope this doesn’t give him a big head, because honestly his head’s already big.”

Crystal told the Guardian he had never met Biden before. “He was hilarious and great. He said, not kidding, ‘I just watched City Slickers’, and he starts doing lines from it and then how much fun it was. He was so lovely and charming and we were able to spend time together with Dr Biden. He was absolutely great.”

Asked if Biden could win re-election, Crystal replied: “I sure hope so because the alternative is a little scary.”

The show kicked off with a tribute to Warwick, 82, a pop music star since the 1960s who has sold more than 100m records and is known for hits such as I’ll Never Love This Way Again and That’s What Friends Are For, a 1985 song she recorded with Gladys Knight, Elton John and Stevie Wonder to raise awareness about Aids.

The record producer Clive Davis said: “There simply is no song that Dionne Warwick cannot sing.” The singer Cynthia Erivo performed a stirring version of Warwick’s song Alfie.

Queen Latifah, 53, a musician and actor known for films including Chicago and Bringing Down the House, told reporters: “I feel very blessed. I feel very honoured.” The actor Kerry Washington said her friend was one of the “best rappers of all time”.

Singers Tituss Burgess, Christine Baranski and Susan Graham performed a rousing rendition of You’ll Never Walk Alone in tribute to Fleming, 64, an acclaimed soprano who has performed at opera houses around the world. She received testimonials from actors and friends Christine Baranski and Sigourney Weaver.

The show concluded with a celebration of Gibb, 77, who performed with his brothers Robin and Maurice in the Bee Gees, a group that sold more than 220m records. He has won nine Grammy awards and, as part of the trio, is known for songs such as Stayin’ Alive and How Deep Is Your Love.

He said on the red carpet that he felt the presence of his brothers, neither of whom is still alive. “It’s very emotional,” he said. “What we all did together – when we were good, when we were on – that was something to be proud of.”

The country group Little Big Town performed Gibb’s song Lonely Days, Michael Bublé sang How Can You Mend A Broken Heart, and the Broadway star Ben Platt gave a rendition of Nights on Broadway. The show closed with a greatest hits medley by the Oscar-winning singer and actor Ariana DeBose.

Showbusiness stars mingled with guests including the second gentleman, Doug Emhoff, the secretary of state, Antony Blinken, the national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, the former House of Representatives speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senator Joe Manchin, of West Virginia, and the president’s granddaughter Naomi Biden. Chuck Schumer , the Democratic majority leader in the Senate, told reporters it was his first Kennedy Center Honors and he most wanted to see fellow New Yorker Billy Crystal.

Deborah Rutter, the president of the Kennedy Center, said the honors had always managed to navigate Washington’s choppy political waters successfully. “I have a very large number of board members who are appointed by President Trump. I have a bunch of appointees from President Biden as well. I have performers, I have donors and they are absolutely representing the full spectrum of the political world, not just here in DC but across the country, and they are all thrilled to be here together in recognition of these artists.

“They all care about the arts. [Republican] Mike Huckabee is a member of my board and he could not be a stronger advocate for arts education and a great partner in that work together with my artists whose political leanings I don’t really know at all. I think that this is a safe, beautiful evening and, if you go back and look at the archives, every year there’s somebody who says it feels so lucky that we can be here and it not be political.”

The show, which was recorded, will be broadcast by CBS on 27 December.

FIBA 3x3 World Tour Final Jeddah 2023: Serbia's Ub Huishan wins back-to-back titles

Ub Huishan overcame a late-season winless slump to reign supreme in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia where they went unbeaten en route to their 21-15 victory over Amsterdam on Saturday (9 December).

Stahinja Stojacic in action at the 2023 FIBA 3x3 World Cup

Serbian outfit Ub Huishan affirmed their status as the top side in the world beating Amsterdam 21-15 to claim back-to-back FIBA 3x3 World Tour Final titles in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Saturday (9 December).

Ub bowed out of the two-day season finale winning all five of their games in the Saudi tournament including a hard-fought battle against Antwerp in the semi-final.

Top-ranked, European and world champion Strahinja Stojacic along with Nenad Nerandzic played leading roles in their team’s triumph contributing six points apiece.

The Serbians made a statement of intent racing to a four-point lead before they opened more daylight going 11-4 up against the Dutch side. Amsterdam threw everything at Ub but the Serbians maintained their advantage thanks to a high scoring percentage.

Once Ub found their groove they would not allow Amsterdam a foot in the door with the Dutch never getting closer than five points until late in the game. Arvin Slagter landed a late two-point shot to get within four points (19-15) before Dejan Majstorovic responded with the decisive blow to hand his team the victory.

In what proved to be a good omen for the Serbian team, the talismanic Stojacic earned the MVP award for the FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2023 regular season on the eve of the final for the second consecutive time. Stojacic, or ‘Dr Strange’ as he is affectionately known, was worth his weight in gold in his team’s victory as Ub consolidated their position as the top side on the World Tour.

Ub laid the groundwork starting the season with a spectacular six-straight Masters title wins before they lost some steam as their campaign progressed.
