Underoath is excited to announce a 2022 headline tour across the United States and Canada. The tour, produced by Live Nation, will follow the release of the band’s highly anticipated seventh full-length, Voyeurist , out on January 14th via Fearless Records . Support from the tour comes from fellow heavy music stalwarts Every Time I Die and the fast-rising Spiritbox .

Fans can grab exclusive presale and VIP tickets now at underoath777.com and public on-sale starts August 20th at 10am local time on Ticketmaster.com . VIP packages include a soundcheck party featuring a special performance and Q+A with the band, plus limited-edition merchandise.

On putting the tour together, vocalist Spencer Chamberlain stated: “There was a time during the pandemic where I didn’t know if we’d ever get to tour again. I would sit up at night and try to wrap my brain around a world without live music and I just couldn’t ever digest that thought. That being said we couldn’t think of a better way to come back on the tour than with our friends Every Time I Die and Spiritbox. Our thought is if we are gonna do this, let’s DO IT!

“We wanted to put together the best/craziest lineup we could think of so we could all let loose in a live setting together again. We want this show to be fun for everyone attending from start to finish, so here we go.”

The tour will mark the first time the band is performing live since their critically-acclaimed Observatory livestream experience last year. With Observatory, Underoath breathed new life into the realm with a complete overhaul of the process – creating something equal parts intimate and monumental. It carried the weight of a sold-out arena show translated through vessels consumable in fan’s living rooms. What made it all the more impactful was the fact that the entire initiative was dreamt up and brought to fruition largely by the band’s internal team. Thus, providing another shining reminder of the innovation that the six members of Underoath are capable of pulling together.

Voyeurist is available for pre-order now , including a deluxe animated vinyl that features a plastic o-card sleeve that activates playback of the jacket’s interlaced video imagery. The band has also shared two singles from the album, the chaotic “Damn Excuses” and more haunting “Hallelujah.”

Underoath announce 'They’re Only Chasing Safety' 20th anniversary tour

M etalcore group Underoath will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough album They’re Only Chasing Safety with a special tour

Announced yesterday , Underoath will embark on a trek across North America, Europe, and the U.K. where they’ll play the album in full alongside a setlist voted by fans at each show. For the whole tour, Static Dress will join as direct support.

Underoath said this about the trek:

“Twenty. Years. This is going to be like nothing we’ve ever done. They’re Only Chasing Safety in full every night plus *another* set of songs voted on by each city. Every song from every album over the past 20 years will be on the table. Let’s get nuts.”

VIP packages will go live today (April 17) at 10 a.m. local time. The package will feature “one GA ticket; a conversation with Underoath in which they will answer fan questions, tell stories, and discuss the impact of They're Only Chasing Safety on their career; an informal hang with the band and individual photo with the full band; a VIP-exclusive 20th Anniversary edition of They're Only Chasing Safet y on vinyl; a 24-page, full color, standard-sized They’re Only Chasing Safety comic book by Sumerian Comics; and merchandise shopping prior to doors opening to the public”. Both the vinyl and the comic book will be shipped to VIPs prior to the tour.

Underoath Reveal 2023 U.S. Tour With Periphery + Loathe

Underoath are back for another round of shows next spring. The group just announced a 2023 headline run that will include support from special guests Periphery and Loathe , making it one of the must-see bills of the early calendar year.

The tour comes as the band are winding down support of their early 2022 release Voyeurist and starting to look ahead to new music. “We’re working on new music (as always). Some songs are done. Some are close. Some have just gotten started… but we wanted to find a way to bring you inside that creative process,” Underoath shares. “At every VIP meet & greet on the Blind Obedience tour, we’re going to be having a listening party of unreleased music we’re currently working on (in various stages of completion) as well as never before heard demos of songs you know well. You’ll get a taste of what’s to come as well as see how far songs you already love had to come to get to your ears. We think this is going to be rad for us *and* you because if one of our favorite band was doing it, we’d jump on it (which is always our mindset going into this sort of thing).”

As previously stated, Underoath will be joined on the run by Periphery, who recently revealed that they've completed their next album and details on that release should be coming soon. Loathe, meanwhile, are currently writing for the follow-up to 2021's The Things They Believe album.

The 24-city tour launches March 3 in Silver Spring, Md., crossing the country, then circling back to an April 2 finale in Nashville. All cities, dates and venues can be viewed below. Tickets for the run will go on sale this Friday (Dec. 16) at 10AM local time via the band's website . You can also take part in a special Citi cardmember pre-sale through the Citi Entertainment program starting today (Dec. 13) at 11AM ET through Thursday (Dec. 15) at 10PM local time. Alternative rockers Underoath unleashed their new album after eight years! ‘Erase Me’ is the band’s comeback album, and with it comes a spring tour.

Underoath announce North American 2022 tour with Spiritbox and Every Time I Die

Underoath announce that they will be heading off on tour with Spiritbox and Every Time I Die next year to showcase their forthcoming album Voyeurist

Ahead of the release of their highly-anticipated forthcoming new album Voyeurist , due out January 14 via Fearless Records, Underoath have announced a 2022 tour across the United States and Canada.

Joining the band on the road will be Spiritbox and Every Time I Die as special guests.

The Voyeurist tour will mark the first time Underoath have performed live since their Observatory livestream experience in 2020.

Speaking of the new dates, vocalist Spencer Chamberlain says, "There was a time during the pandemic where I didn’t know if we’d ever get to tour again. I would sit up at night and try to wrap my brain around a world without live music and I just couldn’t ever digest that thought.

"That being said we couldn’t think of a better way to come back on the tour than with our friends Every Time I Die and Spiritbox. Our thought is if we are gonna do this, let’s DO IT!

 "We wanted to put together the best/craziest lineup we could think of so we could all let loose in a live setting together again. We want this show to be fun for everyone attending from start to finish, so here we go."

Presale and VIP tickets are available now on the band's website, and public onsale starts August 20 at 10am local time. VIP packages include a soundcheck party featuring a special performance and Q+A with Underoath, as well as limited edition merchandise.

American rock group UNDEROATH has announced a 2023 U.S. outing — the "Blind Obedience" tour — with special guests PERIPHERY and LOATHE . Earlier this year, UNDEROATH keyboardist Christopher Dudley spoke to Genre Is Dead! about the bandmembers' decision to produce their latest album, "Voyeurist" , themselves. He said: "The process in general was a bit daunting because we had never self-produced a record of ours before. Different members of the band write with a bunch of different people. [Drummer] Aaron [ Gillespie ] writes with a bunch of different people. I do film scoring and [guitarist] Tim [ McTague ] records bands. We've all done this sort of thing for other people, but taking an UNDEROATH record and being completely in charge has really never happened. We've always gone with a producer. At first, when we made that decision, it was a little scary but also exciting. I remember I was on the phone with Tim , and I literally said, 'Wow, we're doing this, huh?' And he's, like, 'Yup,' and I was, like, 'All right. Let's go.' Obviously, it's a lot more work on our end because we didn't have a producer pulling all that weight. It was us from beginning to end. We had our friend JJ Revell , who does our front-of-house [work], engineer the record, and then we had our friend Chad Howat mix it. But yeah, it was a lot more work for us. I said the other day it was 500% more work but 1000% worth it because when I listen back to it, I think this is us. This is who we are. I can really look at this record and say if you listen to this record and you like it, you like us. And if you don't then you don't and that's fine. It's nice to be able to put our name on it and be like this is who are."

Regarding what led to the decision to produce the record themselves, Dudley said: "It was a multi-step thing because we had initially planned on going back with Matt Squire , who we worked with on 'Erase Me' , but as we got into discussions with him regarding what the recording process was gonna look like, what his role was gonna be, we realized we were not seeing eye to eye on what he would be doing on the record. We were also looking at what we would pay a producer versus what we could do with that money if it was in our hands and how we could make much better use of that money in the recording process. If we do this record ourselves and want to work for a month and then step away for a month, we have that ability to do that. Once we got the idea of us doing the record, it was just an intriguing thing to try and tackle. It's a challenge we had never given ourselves. It was a lot of things coming together but I'm happy it came together the way it did."
