Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin sings on a colorful stage.

Sometimes, you just gotta “Viva La Vida.”

And rather than take time off following their worldwide 2022 “Music of the Spheres Tour,” Coldplay will go hard all year long.

After performing live at the 20th anniversary of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Jan. 26, they’ll serve as the Musical Guest on the Feb. 4 episode of “Saturday Night Live” and then return to the road later this year for international dates in Spain, Great Britain, Italy, Switzerland and The Netherlands before closing their year with a quick seven-concert West Coast tour from Sept. 20 through Oct. 1 .

Although they played a few shows in California and Arizona last year, this time, they’re making sure to cover all their bases.

First, Chris Martin and co. will swoop into the Pacific Northwest and play stadium shows in Seattle (Sept. 20) and Vancouver ( Sept. 22 , Sept. 23 ).

Then, they’ll wrap with four California shows in San Diego ( Sept. 27 , Sept. 28 ) and Pasadena ( Sept. 30 , Oct. 1 ).

Some tickets are fairly inexpensive to see the seven-time Grammy winners too.

In fact, we’re happy to report that some tickets are going for as low as $77 before fees on Vivid Seats at the time of publication.

All prices are subject to fluctuation.

They’ll be joined by H.E.R. and 070 Shake for all North American “Music of the Spheres Tour” dates.

Coldplay 2023 tour schedule

A complete calendar including all of Coldplay’s upcoming tour dates, venues and the cheapest tickets available for each show can be found below.

(Note: The New York Post confirmed all above prices at the publication time. All prices are subject to fluctuation and include additional fees at checkout .)

Vivid Seats is a verified secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They offer a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and your tickets will be delivered prior to the event.

Coldplay opening acts

Each and every North American show will see Coldplay joined by H.E.R. and 070 Shake.

Here’s what you need to know about each of them.

H.E.R. is a 25-year-old singer-songwriter who has become one of the biggest names in R&B over the past few years. In addition to winning a Grammy and Oscar for her original songs, If you want to acquaint yourself with her catalogue, we recommend starting with her 2021 album “Back Of My Mind.”

070 Shake exploded onto the mainstream after singing the hook on controversial rapper Kanye West’s “Ghost Town.” Since then, she’s lent her voice to rappers Nas and Pusha T’s music as well. For a quick primer, make sure to pop in your headphones and try out her records “Modus Vivendi” and “You Can’t Kill Me.”

Coldplay new music

In a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest , Coldplay shared that they’re only going to release “three more albums.”

“…but lots more tours,” Martin told Seacrest. “Sometimes you can just feel when a story is going to end and that’s what I feel about our albums.”

One of those three may be coming soon though.

“We’re finishing an album called ‘Moon Music,'” Martin told City News . “(It) is the second ‘Music Of The Spheres’ volume, but that won’t come out for a little bit.”

Martin added, “We might start playing some songs at some point this year.”

“Jimmy Kimmel Live” 20th Anniversary show

Rather than just invite any old A-Listers to his 20th Anniversary show, Jimmy Kimmel went back to his roots and brought back the guests from his very first episode where he interviewed himself from 20 years ago .

Other guests beside his past self on Jan. 26 were “Ticket to Paradise” star George Clooney, rapper Snoop Dogg and, of course, Coldplay.

You can see Chris Martin’s tongue-in-cheek interview followed by the group’s spellbinding performance of their anthem “Clocks” below.

Huge concert tours in 2023

Coldplay will only be in North America for a short window of time this year.

Thankfully, many huge acts will tour all over the country in the next few months.

Here are just five of our can’t miss, must-see favorites who may be dropping into a stadium or arena near you soon.

•  Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band

•  Taylor Swift

•  Dave Matthews Band

•  Maroon 5

•  The Killers

You already know about those tours?

Well, to make it up to you, here’s some more you should definitely check out in our list of the 52 biggest concert tours in 2023 .

How to Get Tickets to Coldplay’s 2023 “Music of the Spheres World Tour”

Coldplay have been making the rounds on their ongoing “Music of the Spheres World Tour” since spring 2022 with over four million tickets sold, but they’re just getting started with a new slate of tour dates coming in 2023. Update – August 25th: Due to overwhelming demand, Coldplay have added 16 additional shows.

Get tickets here , and read on for more details including pre-sale dates.

What Is Coldplay’s Next Tour?

The band’s ongoing world tour has taken them nearly around the entire globe already, but they still have legs in South America and Europe ahead while also hinting at future dates in North America and southeast Asia as well.

Coldplay’s next run kicks off at Brazil’s Rock in Rio on September 10th, followed by two double-headers in Lima, Peru and Bogota, Colombia. They then stop for a four nights in Santiago, Chile and two headlining shows back in Rio. On October 15th, the band begins a six-night stint in Sao Paulo, Brazil followed by a whopping ten shows in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The final performance also wraps their South American circuit on November 8th.

The tour resumes in 2023 in Coimbra, Portugal on May 17th. They’ll play four nights in Barcelona, four nights in Manchester, and their final two scheduled UK dates in Cardiff are on June 6th and 7th. They will also stop for back-to-back performances in Milan, Italy; Copenhagen, Denmark; Gothenburg, Sweden; and the four-show closer in Amsterdam between July 15th-19th.

Who Is Opening for Coldplay on Tour?

There’s been no shortage of star power on the “Music of the Spheres World Tour.” Surprise guest appearances so far have included Bruce Springsteen , Kylie Minogue, Kelly Rowland, Lupe Fiasco, Craig David, Natalie Imbruglia, Stormzy, and in one night at Wembley , Steve Coogan as Alan Partridge, Jacob Collier, Nicole Lawrence, and Simon Pegg.

Beyond the stream of shock stage entrances, fans are guaranteed to see either Camila Cabello and H.E.R. in the supporting slot on select dates this fall. There’s been no confirmation on openers for the 2023 legs, but it seems the band has a whole “Sky Full of Stars” to pick from.

Coldplay

Their worldwide stadium tour 2023 was, of course, an overwhelming success. In Europe alone, Coldplay thrilled audiences at 37 sold-out and acclaimed open-air concerts, plus dozens more performances in Asia and America. In 2024, the band around frontman Chris Martin will continue their "Music Of The Spheres World Tour" - Delivered by DHL - and will then also come to the Olympic Stadium three times on 15., 17. and 18. August.

The quartet, founded in London at the end of the nineties, is one of the most successful bands of the 21st century worldwide. In Germany alone, five of their albums have reached the top of the charts, and their best-known hits include "Speed of Sound", "Viva la Vida" and "Paradise". Coldplay have performed at the Olympic Park four times so far. In addition to a concert in the Olympic Hall in September 2008, the British pop rockers also played twice in the Olympic Stadium (September 2012 and June 2017), plus an unforgettable open air in front of 10,000 enthusiastic fans at Coubertin Square at their park premiere in July 2005.

For their "Music of the Spheres World Tour", which began in Costa Rica in March 2022, Coldplay have so far received overwhelming reviews. The Times of London wrote of the "Greatest Live Music Show Ever". And "The Sun" recognised "a truly mesmerising spectacle". Not surprisingly, the band secured the award for Favourite Touring Artist at the American Music Awards 2022.

In Munich, Coldplay is now setting a record with three concerts on 15, 17 and 18 August 2024. No international act has ever played more consecutive open-air concerts under a tent roof.

British Columbia woman who thought Coldplay concert ‘was a date’ must pay ex for ticket, tribunal rules

By Andrew Weichel

Click here for updates on this story

VANCOUVER, B.C. ( CTV Network ) — A B.C. woman has been ordered to repay her ex for a ticket to Coldplay’s 2023 concert in Vancouver – in a small claims decision that highlights the distinction between gifts and loans under Canadian law.

The Civil Resolution Tribunal heard Alyssa Randles and Michael Stolfi visited Vancouver for the show last September, but later had a falling out over their $450 tickets.

Stolfi ultimately took Randles to the tribunal asking for $600 in reimbursement – including money for their hotel stay, meals and taxis.

“Ms. Randles says she thought the concert was a date and Mr. Stolfi only asked if she would share the cost after the concert,” tribunal member Mark Henderson wrote in a July 15 decision.

While Randles claimed her Coldplay ticket was given to her as a gift, the decision notes that proving as much can be difficult.

“Under the law of gifts, the person who received the alleged gift must establish it was intended to be a gift, and that they accepted the gift when the giver transferred it to them,” Henderson said.

“The evidence should show the giver’s intention to make a gift was inconsistent with any other intention.”

Randles was ultimately unable to meet that bar.

The tribunal heard she purchased the tickets on her own Ticketmaster account, but that Stolfi e-transferred her $900 to cover the costs shortly after.

Stolfi said Randles had promised to repay her half on her next payday – and Randles did not present compelling evidence to the contrary, according to the decision.

“Ms. Randles did not describe any specific conduct by Mr. Stolfi that establishes Mr. Stolfi intended the trip or the concert to be a gift,” Henderson wrote.

“Ms. Randles did not say how long she and Mr. Stolfi had been dating or if Mr. Stolfi typically gave Ms. Randles concert tickets as gifts during their relationship. So, I find that Ms. Randles has not proven the Coldplay ticket was a gift. I find it was a loan.”

Ex on the hook for other costs

The tribunal did not order Randles to repay her ex for additional costs, however – including breakfast at a Smitty’s restaurant, dinner at Brown’s Social House, and a night at a Best Western.

Stolfi claimed they had agreed to split all expenses for the weekend, but Henderson found he, too, lacked sufficient evidence to support that claim.

“The parties had no written contract. A verbal contract is enforceable like a written contract, but it can be harder to prove,” the tribunal member wrote.

“For a valid contract to exist, the parties must have a ‘meeting of the minds.’ This means that both parties must agree on all essential terms and those terms must be clear enough to give a reasonable degree of certainty.”

Text message exchanges between Randles and Stolfi did not reflect a “meeting of the minds,” Henderson noted.

They showed Stolfi at one point demanded $1,000 from Randles, and that she refused to pay – leading Stolfi to become “increasingly aggressive,” according to the decision.

Stolfi at one point gave Randles one week to repay the $1,000, then in the same conversation shortened the deadline to two days, then shortened it again to 5 p.m. that day.

“Mr. Stolfi threatened to contact Ms. Randles’ landlord, employer and family to get payment. As a result of these threats, Ms. Randles contacted the Vancouver Police,” Henderson wrote. “Ms. Randles says the police advised her not to pay and to cease contact with Mr. Stolfi.”

While the texts showed Randles acknowledging “an undated discussion in which she had agreed to repay” Stolfi, there was no proof she had agreed to particular terms, Henderson added.

The tribunal member refused that part of Stolfi’s claim, but ordered Randles to repay $450 for her ticket, plus approximately $81 in pre-judgement interest and CRT fees.

B.C. woman must pay for Coldplay concert she thought was a date

coldplay-vancouver-concert

A B.C. woman who claimed she thought she was on a date to a Coldplay concert in Vancouver, B.C., has been ordered to pay the man she went with $450.

Michael Stolfi claimed Alyssa Randles agreed to repay him $600 for the cost for tickets to the September 2023 concert and for associated travel expenses, B.C. Civil Resolution Tribunal member Mark Henderson said in a July 15 decision .

But Randles said she thought the concert was a date. She said Stolfi didn't ask her to share the cost of the night out until after the concert was over.

“Ms. Randles offered to book the tickets through her Ticketmaster account and Mr. Stolfi agreed to transfer the money for Mr. Stolfi’s ticket,” said the tribunal member.

“Mr. Stolfi says that at that point, Ms. Randles asked Mr. Stolfi to pay for her ticket and that she would pay Mr. Stolfi back on her next payday.”

Stolfi said the tickets cost $450 each and that he and Randles agreed to split the expenses for the weekend.

Text message did not provide breakdown of money owed

Stolfi undisputedly sent an e-transfer of $900 to Randles on Sept. 23, 2023, said Henderson, describing the two as former romantic partners.

The man had forwarded the money because Randles had said she was short of funds at the time. Stolfi asked for repayment in a Sept. 29, 2023 text message but did not mention an amount.

“In fact, Mr. Stolfi never provided Ms. Randles with a breakdown of the money he had spent on the hotel, taxi and dining during the trip to Vancouver,” Henderson said.

Randles replied saying she could not afford to repay Stolfi at that time, according to the ruling.

“Mr. Stolfi replied, ‘It’s all good’, which Ms. Randles interpreted to mean Mr. Stolfi did not want to be repaid,” Henderson said.

Demand for money prompts call to Vancouver police

On Oct. 3, 2023, Stolfi demanded $1,000. Randles said he became increasingly aggressive and called the Vancouver Police Department.

In his decision, Henderson found Stolfi had not proven the specific terms of any money he was owed for the hotel, taxi and dining expenses. He declined to order repayment on those costs.

But Randles also failed to prove the concert ticket was a gift, said the tribunal member.

“I find it was a loan and Ms. Randles must repay Mr. Stolfi $450 for the cost of her Coldplay ticket,” said Henderson.

B.C. tribunal orders woman to pay ex $450 for Coldplay ticket she thought was a gift

VANCOUVER — A British Columbia woman has been ordered to pay her former romantic partner $450 for her ticket to attend a Coldplay concert together on what she said she believed was a date.

But the province’s Civil Resolution Tribunal says in a ruling that there was no evidence Michael Stolfi intended the ticket to be a gift to Alyssa Randles, and that instead it was a loan that the woman had to repay.

Stolfi took Randles to the tribunal after she refused to pay for the ticket and other expenses associated with the trip to Vancouver to attend the September 2023 concert by the British rockers.

Randles told the tribunal that the trip was a date, the ticket was a gift, and Stolfi only asked for the money after the concert.

Tribunal member Mark Henderson says in his July 15 ruling that Randles relied on the fact she was dating Stolfi to establish the ticket was gift, but she didn’t describe any “specific conduct” by Stolfi to show that was his intention, such as a history of similar gifts.

Stolfi sought a total of $600 to cover the ticket and other costs associated with the trip, but Henderson ruled against repayment of the additional costs because he says Stolfi didn’t prove Randles agreed to “specific terms” for repayment of the hotel, taxi and dining expenses.

Henderson’s ruling, first reported by CTV, says that under the law of gifts, a receiver must establish something was intended to be a gift, and the giver’s intention to make a gift was inconsistent with any other intention.
