The stage was impressive as were the band. Sounding like they had just released their first album, Europe rocked through the entire concert. No support act and a show so awesome it needed an intermission, we rocked, sang and danced with Joe and the boys through all the old hits and the best of the new. The energy of the guys was astounding, each having their own moment to shine. The drum solo was a stand out. It was a well crafted set list, with the big anthems and softer ballads, blended to remind us that Europe has been part of the soundtrack of our lives. A concert that left us grinning and singing on the night and for days afterwards.

always a pleasure to see this guys in action! as a very old fan form the 80's, i loved the band from the beginning...so much fun and some tears too...very emocional and the set list was amazing too. tunes from every period of their career, from the oldest to new ones, of course focusing on the last álbum, War Of Kings. the sound of the venue was amazing, with a stage lights doing a very special show too.

About europe.

Europe is a Swedish rock band formed in Upplands Väsby, by vocalist Joey Tempest, guitarist John Norum, bass guitarist Peter Olsson, and drummer Tony Reno. They got a major breakthrough in Sweden in 1982 by winning the televised competition "Rock-SM" (Swedish Rock Championships) It was the first time this competition was held, and Europe became a larger success than the competition itself. As heavy-metal musicians they could play their instruments far better than any of their fellow competitors and their victory in the final was far from unanticipated (the competition was held in several stages). The competition continued for some years longer, but never reached any other heights. Since its formation, Europe has released ten studio albums, three live albums, three compilations and nineteen music videos. Europe rose to international fame in the 1980s with their third album, 1986's The Final Countdown, which has sold over 3 million copies in the United States and 15 million copies worldwide (including album and single). Europe have sold over 25 million records worldwide. The band has achieved two top 20 albums on the Billboard 200 chart (The Final Countdown and Out of This World) and two top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart ("The Final Countdown" and "Carrie"). Europe went on hiatus in 1992, reunited temporarily for a one-off performance in Stockholm on New Year's Eve 1999 and announced an official reunion in 2003. Since then the band has released five albums, Start from the Dark (2004), Secret Society (2006), Last Look at Eden (2009), Bag of Bones (2012) and War of Kings (2015). Europe has achieved new attention in the US due to being featured in a GEICO Insurance cable television commercial campaign viewed for many months across the US in 2015-16. The band is mainly influenced by Whitesnake, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, UFO and Michael Schenker Group.

Joey Tempest has revealed that 2023 will be a busy year for Europe, with the band set to release a host of new material and undergo a worldwide anniversary tour.

Speaking as part of the Behind The Vinyl podcast, frontman Joey Tempest has stated that Europe fans can expect to see new music from the band next year, as well as a brand new documentary.

“What we’re gonna do is we’re gonna start recording next year, together with a documentary we hope [to have] out in the autumn,” he explains during the interview. “A Europe documentary [as well as] a box set, hopefully, of all the albums.”

In the discussion, the vocalist also confirmed that the band has also planned an upcoming tour – designed to celebrate forty years of their first album.

“Definitely, a fortieth-anniversary tour [is already in the works]. We want to record and release one or two [pieces] of new music next year, and then there will be a big release the following year… There’s so much going on next year, [but we want to] focus on the documentary and the fortieth-anniversary tour.”

Although details on the upcoming tour and new music remain sparse, the frontman did confirm that the upcoming box set is going to be a collection of the band’s entire discography, and is unlikely to contain any previously-unheard material.

“The thing with Europe is we don’t have that much extra stuff. Some bands have loads. Of course, we can [include] live stuff… but from the studio, there’s not much,” he explains. “We’ve been boring like that. We come in with twelve songs and we come out with twelve songs… so, whether there’s gonna be new songs involved in that, I don’t think so.”

Watch Bruce Springsteen Kick Off European Tour With First ‘So Young And In Love’ Performance Since 2013

  • By Andy Greene

Andy Greene

Prior to hitting the road this year, Bruce Springsteen promised that he’d mix up the setlist far more than he did last year when a vocal contingent of fans complained there wasn’t enough variation from night to night. “Some of my basic themes of mortality and life and those things, I’m going to keep set,” he said on SiriusXM’s E Street Radio. “I think I’m gonna move around the other parts of the set a lot more, so there’ll be a much wider song selection going on. So we’re looking at it like, it’s a little bit of the old tour, but we’re looking at it like a new tour.”

At the kickoff date of his 2024 European tour at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, Springsteen stuck to that promise by beginning the show with “So Young And In Love,” a wonderfully obscure tune he hadn’t played live since 2013.

The Results Are In: Kendrick Lamar Won the Great Rap War

Everything that's happened in the drake-kendrick beef, tommy lee wins round in helicopter sexual assault lawsuit, tom brady briefly forgets what a roast is after jeff ross' robert kraft massage joke.

The other notable moments in Cardiff were the first performances of “The River” and “Born in the U.S.A.” this year. The latter song rarely surfaces on this side of the Atlantic these days. It was played once in the States in 2023 and 22 times in Europe. On the 2016/17 River tour, it was played at four American gigs and 22 overseas ones. (The song has a long history of being misread in America .)

Springsteen and the E Street Band continue their European tour Thursday night in Belfast, Ireland. Another U.S. leg begins on August 15 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The 2024 tour wraps up on November 22 in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Express to Russia Moscow- St Petersburg group tour

I booked my Moscow- St Petersburg 8 day 7 nite tour with Express to Russia (Sept 14-21). Express to Russia is a booking agent and did not run the actual tour. The tour company was Intours. There were 27 people on the English speaking tour. . Guide Livia was knowledgeable and pleasant. However, some parts of the tours felt rushed. Transfers were on time and efficient. Hotel Radisson Blu Belorusskaya was too far from the city center. Not many eating places close, Kremlin a 45 min walk away. Subway about 10 min walk. As single individual, I was glad to have booked a tour. Moscow is a hard place to get around on your own.

europe rock group tour

Never having used a tour company before, my friend and I decided that since there was so much to see and do and we had limited time, that we should look into one. We knew we didn't want a big bus tour and after having compared many companies, we decided on Express to Russia and are we happy we did. We spent 10 days exploring Moscow, the Golden Ring and St. Petersburg with our personal guides and not one problem. The initial planning with Dasha was easy and her instructions for getting the visa along with the invitation made getting it a breeze. Our drivers and tour guides were always on time, very knowledgeable, curtious, and the guides spoke excellent English. They were able to answer any questions about a building or a person, and had great restaurant recommendations. Margarite even brought a genealogy chart of the Tsars so we could put in perspective. We felt we saw and learned so much more than if we had done this on our own. The Aquamarine and Petro Hotels were great....modern, comfortable, clean, good breakfasts, and helpful staff. (see my reviews). I would highly recommend Express to Russia. They made our trip easy and enjoyable.

We used Express to Russia to help us with our recent trip to Russia - both Moscow and St. Petersburg. I would highly recommend them. I was initially suspicious as I had not heard of the company before but after reading all the positive reviews on trip advisor I decided to take a chance and I'm really glad I did!! They were fantastic. We had two days in Moscow and Express to Russia provided us with a private tour complete with a driver and guide to suit our schedule. The cars were always clean and the drivers were good (didn't speed, weave in/ out of traffic etc.). Our guides on both days were also fantastic. They knew so much about the history of Russia and happily answered all the questions we had. Both were extremely intelligent and friendly. We saw a lot and they even let us spend a bit of extra time at the places we were really interested in...while our driver patiently waited for us. While we have travelled quite a bit (South America, Africa, Asia, much of Europe) Moscow would have been a challenge without the tour. It's a huge city and while some menus and signs are in english the majority are in Russian and many of the servers and staff at tourist attractions also only communicate in Russian. We could have done it but would not have learned nearly as much and would have spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to get around/ see things. Bottom line...the tour is totally worth it!!! Also leading up to the trip our contact was very responsive, answered all of our questions and was able to accommodate all of our requests. The only slight issue we had is that when we arrived in Moscow our driver wasn't at the airport. I mention this only in case it happens to someone else. Don't panic. It was very easy for us to contact Express to Russia and right away we found our driver was stuck in traffic.....which having experienced Moscow traffic I now understand is very reasonable. He arrived shortly after and delivered us to our hotel.

We made Moscow and St. petersburg trip with "Express Russia" and enjoyed it very much. The weather was wet during our stay in Moscow, the trafic was busy always. But our tour guide Elena made it up. She is professional, warm and very well educated. She almost knows everything about Russia. Moscow is one of the greatest cities on the world. Convent of new virginity is worth stopping by. It is not just a graveyard, it is a garden of Statutes. Besdies, the driver and our guide are always on time. You can trust them.

I used Express to Russia for a private 4 day/3 night tour of the Golden Ring, as well as for several transfers and the visa service. I was very satisfied with all! The Golden Ring tour allowed us to visit many places that would have been difficult for us on our own. Our guide was great; interesting, well informed and very pleasant. The driver did a great job of getting us places, and was always ready to meet us. 2 of the 3 hotels were very nice, the third was o.k. Meals were more than we typically eat, and the quality of the food was good. We were able to see so many beautiful places and works of art. It was wonderful. I arranged several transfers through Express to Russia, and all worked out perfectly. The visa service was easy, no problems. In addition, I always received prompt responses to my e-mail and questions during the planning of our trip. Overall, I would definitely use Express to Russia again.

europe rock group tour

Our experience with Express to Moscow was very good. The communication was always fast and correct. The guide and driver were O.K. Our guide Lina made it very taylor-made. The trip to Vladimir was not so good : the driver was in a hurry (and not always very save) to go back to Moscow, (it was saturday) were we had to wait 4 long hours before we could take the Sapsan train to St. Petersburg. The guide told us we must be at the station 2 hours in avance, the same procedure as at the airport . In fact just 30 minutes in avance we knew on witch track the train departed. All the rest was O. K.

Fans can expect a packed set with fan favorites from THE HALO EFFECT 's debut album, "Days Of The Lost" , which came out in 2022, and also some new tunes from the band's upcoming sophomore effort. Special guest on this tour will be industrial outfit PAIN , as well as Finnish melo-death shooting stars BLOODRED HOURGLASS .

"Halos Over Europe 2025" tour dates:

Jan. 16 - DK Copenhagen - Amager Bio Jan. 17 - DE Hamburg - Markthalle Jan. 18 - DE Cologne - Essigfabrik Jan. 19 - NL Haarlem - Patronaat Jan. 21 - UK Bristol - The Fleece Jan. 22 - UK Glasgow - Slay Jan. 23 - UK Wolverhampton - KK´s Steel Mill Jan. 24 - UK Manchester - Manchester Club Academy Jan. 25 - UK London - Electric Ballroom Jan. 26 - BE Antwerp - Trix Jan. 28 - FR Paris - Bataclan Jan. 29 - DE Frankfurt - Batschkapp Jan. 31 - DE Stuttgart - LKA Longhorn Feb. 01 - DE Munich - Backstage Feb. 02 - CH Solothurn - Kulturfabrik Kofmehl Feb. 04 - DE Berlin - Kulturbrauerei Kesselhaus Feb. 05 - DE Leipzig - Hellraiser Feb. 06 - AT Vienna - Arena Wien Feb. 07 - HU Budapest - Barba Negra Blue Stage Feb. 08 - CZ Brno - Sono Centrum Feb. 09 - PL Warsaw - Progresja

THE HALO EFFECT recently completed mixing its sophomore album for an early 2025 release.

Asked in an interview with A Swedish Fika With about the musical direction of the new THE HALO EFFECT songs, Peter said: "I think it's definitely the same type of music, but as an artist, you don't obviously wanna repeat yourself. But I guess what we did on the first one, we just went in and we took the ideas and what was written and made it into songs. And without thinking of, 'This is gonna sound like this or that.' And now with the second album, we know how it's gonna sound. But I guess we kept on still doing it the same way. So there's no real change. It's THE HALO EFFECT . It's not gonna be a big change in a different direction. We're gonna keep on trying to do what we started to do."

Last August, Peter told Australia's "Everblack" podcast about THE HALO EFFECT 's mindset while writing the new material: "What we've done with this one and the last one was basically we just went into the studio with some ideas. Niclas had many, many ideas, some finished songs, and then he invited us, everybody else, in the songwriting process. So we went in without having a clear plan on how it's gonna sound, but obviously, it's in the fingers and it's in Mikael 's voice. Whatever comes out is the way that it sounds now. So the next record is — you always wanna evolve, obviously, but it's not different; it's definitely the same type of genre. And, like I said, we went in and we played what we felt like. And Niclas had written a bunch of songs together with Jesper , and we went in the studio on this one and just did our thing on them."

He continued: "A lot of times some bands evolve all the time and it's always different from record [to record]. But I think we feel more comfortable than we did before. We had no pressure by doing [the first THE HALO EFFECT album] 'Days Of The Lost' , and we had no pressure [on the follow-up album]. But at the same time, we've been out playing, we're together in an even stronger way than we were before. So, it's definitely the same type of music. But it's — I don't know; it's hard to describe."

Also in August, Stanne told Finland's Chaoszine about THE HALO EFFECT 's upcoming LP: "It's done, and it sounds awesome. But, yeah, we were [originally] supposed to do an EP [instead of a full-length album] — we had that kind of plan — but then we realized, 'Ah, maybe not.' … So it's been — not stressful, but we did a lot during a short period of time, which ended up being fantastic just because it turned out a much more confident album, I think. It's very focused and you can, you can probably tell — at least from the people that I've played it to — that whereas the first time was kind of, like, 'Hey, let's figure out what we wanna do,' whereas this is kind of, like, 'This is exactly what we wanna do.'"

He added: "So it's, it's gonna be interesting. I can't wait to have people hear it because I'm incredibly proud of it."

Asked if the second THE HALO EFFECT album is a "continuation" of "Days Of The Lost" , which came out in 2022, Stanne said: "Yeah, I think so. I think Niclas and Jesper were more confident in terms of their songwriting, where it's, like, 'Yeah, this is gonna work.' And there are some cool experimentation on the album as well, but some of the songs are just like straight up, like there's no questions. It's just so easy and so to the point, you know. So it's kind of fun when I get the demo version of a song, and I start thinking about lyrics and vocals, it's, like, it just makes sense. I just know this by heart. It's so easy. Which is — it is weird, but it's just, like, it speaks to me in a way that where I go like, 'Okay, I know exactly what to do and I can finish it in a matter of days.' That's sometimes how it feels. You just hear a song and you go, like, 'Yep, I know this already. I know exactly what to do. And it's gonna be great."

In February, THE HALO EFFECT released the official music video for the song "Become Surrender" . The track, which has been a staple of THE HALO EFFECT 's live shows for a while now, is not expected to appear on the band's upcoming second album.

THE HALO EFFECT debuted "Become Surrender" , which was recorded at the same time as "Days Of The Lost" , during its February 2023 Swedish tour.

In May 2023, THE HALO EFFECT released a visualizer for the song "Path Of Fierce Resistance" . The track, which was previously released as a Japanese exclusive on "Days Of The Lost" , was finally made available in the rest of the world.

"Days Of The Lost" entered the official chart in Sweden in the summer of 2022 at position No. 1. This was believed to be the first time a debut LP from a metal act had ever topped the chart in Sweden in its first week of release. "Days Of The Lost" also landed at No. 6 in Germany.
