Eiffel tower.

Eiffel Tower was built by the architect Gustave Eiffel for the 1889 Universal Exhibition ( Exposition Universelle ), which celebrated the 100th year anniversary of the French Revolution.

After 20 years, the Tower had to be destroyed, but it was saved by the installation of the first radio transmissions in 1898 on the top of the Tower. In 1903, it served as a military radio post and it transmitted the first public radio programm in 1925, and then broadcast television up to TNT.

Each night until 1a.m., the Tower is illuminated each hour during 5 min.

Eiffel Tower opens every day and every evening, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and in July and August from 9:00 a.m. to 00:00.

Getting to Eiffel Tower from Palace of Versailles

Come to eiffel tower by train.

From Palace of Versailles walk to Versailles-Chateau-Rive Gauche Station, during only 7 min. Take RER C (yellow line), in Direction «Paris». The Arrival Station is «Champ de Mars – Tour Eiffel». It’s 26 min long.

The ticket costs €4,20 for adult / €2,10 for kids under 10 years old / free for kids under 4. Be careful, Ticket t+ is not available for this travel. Young under 26 years old can travel unlimited during Saturday, Sunday and Days off after having buy the ticket. For Versailles  to Paris (zone 1-4), it costs €8,10.

Come to Eiffel Tower by car

From Palace of Versailles, the traffic sign to catch the A13 (E05) free motorway [Direction : Paris]. Then, follow the direction : « Paris-Centre / Paris-Porte de Saint-Cloud / Périphérique Sud ». When you see : « Paris-Centre / Voie George Pompidou », follow it, in direction « Pont d’Iéna ».

It’s about 30 min long, if there is no traffic jam…

The Eiffel Tower will be open during the Olympic Games except on July 26. Exceptionally, tickets for visits from June 17 will go on sale later than usual (instead of 60 days before the day of the visit). How much does it cost to visit the eiffel tower.

To check the prices for the Eiffel Tower, please visit this page on the official Eiffel Tower site . The Eiffel Tower online ticket office provides the official prices. The adult price applies to adults 25 years and over.  There are discount rates for young people (12-24 years old), children (4-11 years old) and for those with disabilities. Admission is free for children under 4 years old. The price of the ticket varies upon how you go up (elevator and/or stairs) and the destination (2nd floor or the upper floor) you select. 

The desired visit date is not available, what should I do?

Certain days (weekends, days during peak season between July and August) are in high demand and we sell out quickly, especially for e-tickets for the top floor, which are the most popular. If you are flexible, select another date that is shown as available. The dates marked in orange indicate that the last tickets are available. Lined out or grayed out dates are no longer available. If there is no more online availability, note that tickets to visit the Eiffel Tower are also sold on site at the ticket offices at the monument. Regardless, we sell our tickets online up to 60 days in advance (for lift tickets) and 14 days in advance (for stairs tickets to second floor). If you can, plan your visit well in advance, so you will have the choice of date, destination and time.  

How many tickets can I buy?

On the online ticket shop, you can buy up to 9 tickets for the same order. Groups who want to buy tickets, regardless of the number, must use the ticket office site reserved for groups.

The Eiffel Tower’s online box office allows you to purchase your ticket online for the 2nd floor or the Summit at the official rate. You can purchase individual e-tickets for up to 9 people. Tickets can also be purchased several weeks in advance. With the e-ticket system, experience no lines! You will directly receive your ticket by e-mail so you can print it at home or store it on your smartphone. If e-tickets are sold out for the date/time or destination that you search, it is always possible to purchase tickets on the spot on the day of your visit.  At the scheduled hour, go directly to the lifts or stairs without having to wait at the ticket stands. There are mandatory security checks at the Eiffel Tower’s entrance and before entering one of the pillars.

Votre guide peut vous aider à trouver Notre-Dame, le Louvre, le Sacré-Cœur à Montmartre, le Grand Palais, les Invalides, et plus encore. De locatie was super maar ook het flatje zelf was perfect. Sfeervol en practisch ingericht met een goede douche en een lekker bed. Een koelkastje en simpele kookgelegenheid. Microwave. Een föhn en strijkijzer. Gratis wifi. Het raam kon open. Vriendelijke host die erg behulpzaam was. Het flatje is echt een aanrader!

We recommend booking as far in advance as possible: tickets go on sale 60 days before the desired date. On the day of your visit, your time-stamped ticket gives you access to the pillar without having to go to the on-site ticket office. Please arrive on time: 10:30am on the esplanade. Your visit begins with an ascent to the top because all visits to the Eiffel Tower start with the highest floor.

02- The breathtaking ascent to the summit

Taking an elevator at the Eiffel Tower is a moving experience: not only are you travelling aboard a masterpiece of engineering like none other in the world, but you can admire Paris spreading out before you as you ascend. At the second floor, you will change elevator to travel to the Top. What awaits you next is the thrilling experience of arriving at the top and discovering the panoramic view from a height of 906 feet. Breathtaking!

03- Make your way back down and explore

On the way back down, admire the panoramic views on the second and first floors. Each floor of the Tower offers a unique view of the Parisian skyline and its monuments, as well as the structure of the Tower. 05 – Details of the Brunch menu

Madame Brasserie offers a range of pastries and breads with jams, honey, butter and homemade spreads, as well as cold meats and cheeses from the best artisans in Paris. The brunch includes a choice of one savory dish. Opt for the super-fluffy savory waffle with its accompaniment (choice of three), such as blue lobster with roasted zucchini or farmhouse chicken, or let yourself be tempted by the gourmet Eggs Benedict with a choice of tender Germon tuna or cooked ham from Île-de-France and Comté cheese. The desserts buffet brings the meal to a masterly close with seasonal fruit tarts, chocolate cream and farmhouse fromage blanc made with Île-de-France chestnut honey and whipped cream. In France, hotel rankings highlight the exceptional 5-star hotels by elevating them to ‘palace’ status. Awarded to establishments that achieve excellence.

Established by the French Minister of Tourism in November 2010, the Distinction Palace is designed to award official recognition to the finest 5-star hotels. They must have exceptional qualities that embody French standards of excellence and contribute to enhancing the image of France throughout the world. It is also designed to increase the profile of these establishments, especially on the international scene.

The ministry of tourism awards the "Palace" distinction after the completion of a two phase process:

• An initial investigation phase conducted by ATOUT FRANCE based on objective eligibility criteria. These mandatory criteria include having the following available to guests: fitness area, spa, multilingual team, concierge service and more.
• An evaluation phase is conducted by an experienced panel, based on a set of assessment criteria including: location, appearance, history of the site, character of the establishment, involvement of staff in seeking excellence, gourmet restaurants, respectful environmental policy, and more.
