What's Included:

Bangkok - The Vibrant Highlights of Bangkok

Bangkok's exuberant contrasts will have already impressed. For first time visitors, everything in the city seems to be an attraction. Yet hidden around the city you'll discover the sublime and surreal, the renowned and unknown highlights that epitomize the capital. Today's tour starts at Wat Po, the monk's morning chanting ritual filling this ancient temple with resonant spirituality. Whiff the incense smoke and explore the mystique before standing before the immense 45 meter reclining Buddha. Continue the traditional slant with a tuk-tuk ride through the narrow city streets, your driver expertly traversing the Pak Klong Taland Flower Market and onwards to the Grand Palace. Admire the mysterious Emerald Buddha and take in the grandeur of Thailand's most important palace.

This all-day tour unveils many different sides to the city, giving you an ebullient snapshot of Bangkok's delights. Ride a long-tailed boat along the canals of Thonburi and marvel at local life along the waterside. Explore royal temples that burst with aristocratic brilliance and opulent architecture, then head into old Bangkok and wander the vivid alleys of the city's working class neighborhoods. Visit Chinatown, take a sumptuous lunch overlooking the river, stop in ancient tea shops, discover bustling markets that cascade with color; this is a tour that always veers towards the city's unique experiences.

Chiang Mai - The Cultural Delights of Chiang Mai

This morning you leave Bangkok, flying north to fascinating Chiang Mai. A circle of soothing mountains gaze down on the city, overlooking over 300 temples and wondrous 14th century architecture. Your driver and guide is waiting in arrivals and you'll head straight to the architectural riches, the tour of Chiang Mai starting at Wat Suan Dok. Elegant prayer halls, important shrines, sacred Buddha images, crumbling city walls that ache with authenticity; your tour explores the essential Chiang Mai sights and your guide unveils a 700 year old narrative.

The various temples and palaces are not museum pieces. Each is alive, home to red robed monks or the flickering chorus of recited prayers. Take your tour's final stop at Wat Phrathat on Doi Suthep Mountain, built in 1383 and standing proud above the city. Climb the 309 steps and savor the view, Chiang Mai and the forest clad mountains rolling into the distance. Admire the murals and photograph the pagodas. Throughout it all, there's an almost overbearing sense of spirituality, led by the wandering monks and confirmed by the floating incense smells. Descend to the city and enjoy your own palace, the stunning Chedi Chiang Mai your hotel in this city of riches.

Chiang Mai - Organic Thai Cooking Experience

Thai food is lauded around the world, a delicate fusion of flavors and textures exciting almost every palate. Today's intimate cooking experience helps reveal the secrets to its brilliance, the lesson starting at the local Ruamchook Market. A renowned local chef reveals the different ingredients and fragrances on offer, helping you to fill the shopping bag with freshness. The chef's own organic garden is a hive of aromas and herbs, perfect for chopping some of the secret ingredients for your authentic Thai curry. A very hands-on cooking lesson follows and the chef helps you to craft a sumptuous meal from the raw ingredients. Sit down and allow the flavors to melt in your mouth, and don't forget to share a few of your own culinary secrets; while Thai cuisine is undeniably distinctive, all chefs are open to fresh ideas and tastes. Return to the hotel by mid afternoon and the rest of the day is free to enjoy Chiang Mai.

Yangon - Landing in Yangon and First Impressions of Myanmar

Your Myanmar experience begins in Yangon, a charming capital of wide boulevards, fertile parks, and shimmering lakes. You'll fly to Yangon via Bangkok and a luxury chauffeur is waiting to transfer you to the delightful Governor's Residence hotel. The late afternoon and evening is free to discover a city with a sleepy provincial atmosphere. Crumbling colonial mansions stand beside pagodas laced in gold, shrines imbue an omnipresent mystique, people congregate to drink cups of sweet milky tea, and alluring streets are coated in a vivid blanket of colors and sounds. Blending calmness with vitality, Yangon is the perfect introduction to the inimitability of Myanmar.

Yangon - The Atmospheric Highlights of Yangon

Ignore Yangon's status as capital city. Ignore the fact that it's home to over four million people. Yangon is indelibly serene and filled with a charming small town atmosphere. Today's city tour reveals the highlights, although a continual highlight of this experience is simply exploring the streets and observing the locals. Rickshaws peddle through wooden street markets, locals file into magnificent pagodas, and a faded colonial elegance merges with enigmatic spirituality. Stop at the 2,500 year old Sole Pagoda, do some people watching at Mahabandoola Park, see a 70 meter reclining Buddha, and discover the ancient artifacts housed in the National Museum. After a local lunch continue to the buzzing stalls of Bogyoke Market and into the Indian Quarter. Completing the city tour is the Shwedagon Pagoda, an exemplar of Yangon's mix of architectural brilliance and humble ambience.

Bagan - The Evocative Ancient Temples of Bagan

Thousands of temples rise evocatively across Bagan, memories of an ancient kingdom filling a luxuriantly green valley. Approximately 2,200 temples can be found here, less than half of what originally stood with pride. An early morning flight takes you to this historic old town, your plane landing just as the mist has risen above from the verdant valley. Of course you'll visit the famous sites, like the sandstone decorations of the 46 meter high Htilominlo pagoda, the glazed terra cotta tiles of the Mingalazedi pagoda, or the astounding brickwork of the Dhammayangyi pagoda. But just gaze into the distance and crumbling temples fill your vision, hundreds of them visible with a single glance, especially when you're enjoying the sunset from one of the most scenic spots in Bagan. After a full day touring the pagodas you'll return to the charming Auereum Palace and your Lotus Villa in the evening.

Bagan - The Sacred Views of Mount Popa

Wake up and open the curtains. The temples of Bagan stand in their resplendent glory, one of Asia's finest sights available from the privacy of your Lotus Villa. Today you ascend above Bagan for even greater views. Rising 1,518 meters above Bagan, sacred Mount Popa holds many secrets to the kingdom's history. Visit the Tuang Kalat temple and gaze upon the 37 spirits detailed along its base. On a clear day the temples of Bagan are clearly visible from up here, and on a misty day it's still wonderfully hypnotic. After lunch you return to Bagan via Salay, an important religious center that's home to the Yoke-Sone-Kyaung, a World Heritage Site. One look at the spectacular wood carvings and it's easy to see why UNESCO was impressed. Return to Bagan by late afternoon and keep enjoying that view from your villa.

Mandalay - Discovering the Delights of Mandalay

Mandalay's treasures are not hard to find. After an early morning flight brings you to this absorbing city, glance up at Mandalay Hill and you'll spot dozens of religious and cultural relics. It's 230 meters to the summit and, like always, you've got an experienced local guide and driver providing the narrative en route. This itinerary uses local city guides throughout, ensuring you always get an intimate and personalized perspective at each destination. Peer down on Mandalay and begin a route through the famous sights; the teak carvings in the Golden Palace Monastery, the world's largest book at the Kuthodaw pagoda, the exultant spirituality of Maha Muni pagoda, and the enchantment of Mandalay itself as you return to street level. Tonight is spent in the sumptuous Red Canal Resort.

Mandalay - The Enchanting Ancient Capitals of Myanmar

Surrounding Mandalay are three former capitals, each bursting with distinctive character. Start your day in Amarpura, imbued with an 18th century charm and home to Myanmar largest monastery. There's a quaint atmosphere to the streets and your footsteps continue past religious relics until they cross the world's longest teak bridge. Gaze upon the picturesque Sapaing Hill and shake your head in disbelief at the sheer abundance of pagodas and monasteries, every single one of them painted in radiant white. Red monk robes provide the color contrast in the ancient capital of Sapaing before your journey continues onwards to Ava, where a horse drawn carriage takes you to the wooden Bagaya Monastery and the Royal Palace. Every turn brings aesthetic delight, from fragmented monastery remains to the recently restored luminosity of a shimmering pagoda. You'll return to Mandalay by late afternoon.

Inle Lake - Tribal Villages and Serenity at Inle Lake

Myanmar runs at a gentle pace, the rhythm of life a far flung change from the pressures and speed of the West. Perhaps this tranquil tempo is epitomized by Inle Lake, where even the markets have an indelible serenity. After the flight to Heho it's a picturesque one hour drive to Inle, then it's time to travel in the most traditional of styles. Unique leg-rowers take you across the lake, their bizarre rowing style requiring astonishing balance and years of practice. Cruise through the floating gardens, contrasting colors mingling with the sapphire lake blue, then traverse the floating market and admire the canoes laden with fresh fruits and resounding vendors.

After lunch on the shore you explore the other side of the lake, starting the journey at the Pa O tribal village. Wide smiles and energetic faces welcome you to this hidden part of the world. And that could be said about any day you spend in Myanmar. The country has only recently opened to tourism and you get the benefit of experiencing a country at its untamed and unchanged best. Sharing a greeting with the locals is a huge part of the experience and always provides a longstanding memory. After the hellos in Pa O you take a small path up to the Indein pagoda complex. You'll discover hundreds of pagodas, most of them hidden under vegetation and standing in provocative states of ruin. Take in the jaw-dropping view over the valley and then transfer to your Inle Princess Resort for more dazzling lake views.

Inle Lake - The Remarkable Buddhas of the Pindaya Caves

Imagine a cave filled with a dozen Buddha statues, each different in size and appearance. Now imagine a cave with 1,000 distinct Buddha statues. How about 8,000? That's the number that fills the gaping caverns of the Pindaya Caves, each of the Buddhas standing against the limestone walls and brought by a Buddhist pilgrim. There's an eerie mystique to this famous Buddhist pilgrimage site, the three caves littered with Buddha images and a growing collection of these statues. See if you can spot the Buddhas that have been standing guard here for some 250 years. Don't worry if you don't. As always, an expert local guide completes the gap in the narrative. Wander through the tranquil Pindaya town and spend an hour visiting a Shan umbrella and mulberry paper factory. You'll return to Inle by late afternoon, your lakeside base one and a half hours from Pindaya.

Inle Lake - The Rugged Mountain Brilliance of Kalaw

Myanmar is off the main tourist radar and every stop on this itinerary has a heartwarming authenticity. Even when you're exploring one of the country's most famous sites there's probably less than a handful of other tourists around. For your final full day you head deep into the rugged mountains, winding past bamboo lacquered Buddha images and into one of the country's most undiscovered regions. Trekking routes head out all around Kalaw, each of them delivering magnificent panoramas of a landscape unadulterated by modern influence. Take a short guided hike and keep pressing the camera shutter before your guide reveals the highlights of Kalaw town. Different hill tribes mingle at the local market, with the flurry of sounds and colors a sharp contrast to the absolute serenity of the King Church and colonial built streets. With views extending in every direction you descend back to Inle, the thick green valleys likely to remain in your memory for decades to come.

Inle Lake - Farewell to Myanmar

After two weeks of continual highlights you say goodbye to South East Asia and bid farewell to the mesmeric beauty of Myanmar. Today is at your leisure until you're transferred to the airport for your onward flight.

When the Burmese took over Ayutthaya in 1569, the Burmese king built a Mon-style chedi (or pyramid) on top of the former temple to celebrate his victory over Ayutthaya and the Siamese.

Continue to the Ayutthaya Historical Park and visit the ancient palace ground. Wat Phra Sri Sanphet , once a royal temple lying beside the Grand Palace , was once the most significant temple during the Ayutthaya period. Adjacent to Wat Phra Sri Sanphet is Viharn Phra Mongkolbopit , an impressive building that houses a large seated bronze Buddha image. Its rebuilt pristine hall was believed to be a replica of the old Assembly Hall of Ayutthaya .

After a delicious Thai lunch, we’ll move on to Wat Lokaya Sutha to see the largest reclining Buddha of Ayutthaya at 8 meters high and 42 meters long. The Buddha image was made of brick and covered with plaster.

We will continue to Wat Mahathat , a classic temple ruins of Ayutthaya and famous for the picturesque Buddha head engulfed by the Bodhi tree roots. The foundation size, remaining prangs, and towers attest to the significance during its time.

Late in the afternoon, we’ll take a ride back to Bangkok and check in the hotel for the night.

17-day visit to Vietnam with Asia Pioneer Travel (APT)

My wife and I just returned from a wonderful first-time trip to Vietnam – thanks to the quality service provided by APT. So many things went well for us. We were able to customize the default itinerary to fit our schedule and sightseeing preferences. We spent a few initial days corresponding via email, phone and WhatsApp with our assigned Travel Designer (Elly), and she answered all of our questions and addressed any concerns we had. She also helped us obtain our e-Visas and purchased domestic airline tickets for us. The hotels provided were excellent – good locations, clean and comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff and nice amenities. The hotels also provided very tasty and substantial buffet breakfasts through a wide variety of foods and beverages. What also stood out were the outstanding local guides that accompanied us in HCM City, Hoi An/Hue, Hanoi and Sapa. The guides were professional, friendly and knowledgeable regarding the area history and culture. We learned so much from the guides and they really enhanced our travel experience. They also led us to some great restaurants where we enjoyed the local cuisine. Also, all of the drivers provided were highly skilled and always on-time for pickups. And on top of having an enjoyable trip, we felt the trip cost was very reasonable and affordable. We are so glad we went with APT!

Amazing and worth it

My family and I stumbled across Asia Pioneer and we had the wonderful Chloe as our travel agent for our Vietnam/Thailand trip. Everything was organised for us, from the itinerary, to accommodation, tour guides, drivers, flights and activities. It costed quite a bit, however well worth it if you don’t want to worry about having to organise anything.

I highly recommend!!! My only feedback would be that the payment system with Asia Pioneer is not straight forward and they invoice and quote in US $ so if you are from other countries tries the conversion rates and credit card fees etc become quite confusing and it ends up costing more than expected.

They request a 30% deposit upfront which is fine, but then you pay another amount a month th before the trip, and then the final amount in cash on the day of arriving in Vietnam. I recommend you get the cash out in your country before arriving to Vietnam as the ATM’s only allow you to get out a very small amount (3 million vietnamese dong) at a time.

However other than that, highly recommend !!

Amazingly amazing.

Customer Service: The service was amazing from start to finish. APT was in constant communication with me. They were patient, flexible, and accommodating. They understood what I wanted to see and things I wasn’t interested in. They were never pushy. The tour guides they provided were also amazing. Prompt, funny, super informative, and advocated for us every step of the way…sometimes changing our itineraries to better fit our needs. The tour guides also understood that by day 9 we were exhausted and needed some R&R.

Price: The price was very affordable. We were 3 teachers on winter break so you know we’re not made out of $$$. The hotels they provided were affordable and lovely, very close to all the spots.

Vietnam: What can I say? I want to live there!!!

Overall Experience: 5 stars! I will be booking with APT for our next trip. 10 days was not enough!

Tour Highlights

Itinerary details.

This 14-day natural and cultural adventure covers Myanmar's highlights and the essence of Thailand. This classic route has been defined as being fascinating by travelers. Your experienced guide will make adjustments to meet your expectations if you want to change any part of your trip.

Upon arrival, your guide and driver will greet you at the airport and drive you to your hotel. You will have the rest of the day to adjust to the jetlag or spend some leisure time wandering around your hotel.

Jump onto a train at Yangon Circular Railway for an overview of this city. This journey takes about 3 hours even though it's only for a distance of 45 kilometers. Being seated among different commuters on their way to schools, offices, and marketplaces will give you a better idea about the local people's daily lives and you will learn why Yangon is more laid-back compared with other capital cities in Southeast Asia.

A museum is the best place to learn about a city quickly so visit the National Museum of Myanmar to learn more about this city. U Thant House, the residence of the former UN Secretary-General U Thant, is a window for you to learn about his life and story.

If you want to witness how important the giant reclining Buddha is to local devotees, Chaukhtatgyi Paya is a must-see. The Shwedagon Pagoda is the holiest place for local devotees and is also the landmark of Yangon. This gilded pagoda is studded with nearly 5,000 diamonds and some gems. When the sun is setting, the pagoda glitters in the dusk. You are presented with a picturesque, sacred, and particularly soul-touching picture.

Before you go to the airport and leave for Mandalay, pay a visit to Aung San Suu Kyi's house. Under house arrest, she spent 15 years of her life at this house.

After a 35-minute flight, you will arrive in Mandalay. Your Mandalay tour starts with a visit to the Bagaya Monastery, which is home to many monks and novices, offering free education for local youths at the same time. Spend some time exploring the historical site of Sinkyone Fortress. Even though there aren't many buildings there now, you can still understand that it played an important role during the British conquest in the 19th century.

Hold your breath and be amazed by the sight of U Bein Bridge stretching its enchanting outline in the fading light of the day.

Mandalay is the second-largest city in Myanmar. The Burmese deity and ethnic identity are fully expressed in this city.

You will start the day at the Mahamuni Buddha Temple. Local devotees get up early in the morning and go there regularly for a daily face washing ceremony (this starts at 4am), with offerings that include fresh towels, flowers, and food.

A special teak monastery named Shwe Inn Pin Monastery differs from others as more than 30 monks live there. You will learn about the monks' daily lives by chatting with one of them.

Exploring Kuthodaw Pagoda before lunchtime, you will learn why it deserves the reputation of being the world's largest book.

Learn the craft of making gold leaf at a factory and show your generosity by putting gold leaf on the largest Buddha image in Mahanyatmuni Pagoda, just like the locals.

Climb up Mandalay Hill for incredible views if you still feel energetic or go back to your hotel to catch up with some rest.

(Please note: The main chamber of the Mahamuni Buddha Temple is available for male visitors only. Female visitors can watch a live video in the front foyer.)

Say goodbye to Mandalay and land in Bagan on a morning flight. After checking in at your hotel, escape from the crowded city and head towards West Pwasaw Village for a Burmese cooking class.

Learn about recipes and ingredients (mainly fish products and raw vegetables) from your friendly and experienced chef, then head up to the kitchen and cook some Burmese cuisine. Afterward, treat your palate with some homemade delicacies. Knowing that some of the cost for the cooking class is donated to support schooling and housing in the community makes your cuisine even better.

The Shwezigon Pagoda, constructed in 1060, is the antecedent of a Burmese-style pagoda. It's also the most recognized shrine in Nyaung-U.

The stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Bagan Archaeological Zone, is an ideal destination for every traveler. Adorned by the morning mist, hundreds and thousands of temples, stupas, and pagodas sprawl out solemnly and magnificently. Covering 25 square kilometers, you will visit typical sites, such as the Ananda Temple, Dhammayangyi Temple, the Mahabodhi Temple, and Dhammayangyi Temple.

Please note that an optional hot-air balloon flight is available: Take a 1-hour balloon flight over Bagan to get the best panoramic view of temples, stupas, and pagodas, which will undoubtedly become one of the most poetic and picturesque moments in your lifetime. Available reservation time: October to March, with a fixed schedule every morning. A sunset flight is available upon special request. This activity is in great demand so it's recommended to make a reservation 3 months in advance to secure your booking.

It takes about 40 minutes to get from Bagan to Heho (the airport town near Inle Lake) by flight. Inle Lake, situated at a higher altitude, greets you with its cool breeze.

Have lunch in a floating restaurant and start your journey. You may have questions about the floating houses and gardens, and how the local fishermen row their boats with one leg. As your boat cruises along the lush water and past the tranquil villages, you will learn about the ethnic cultures, traditions, and lifestyles from your knowledgeable guide. The locals collect weeds from the depths of the lake to fertilize vegetables and fruits in their farmlands. The lake is their homeland, which they build and develop from generation to generation.

Time spent at Inle Lake is never boring and a visit to a local market makes your journey even more delightful. Explore one of the village's local markets, which is held every 5 days. Busy with boats crossing the water, a bustling market, and exquisite handicrafts, you will have a better insight into how the locals trade and live.

Boating through narrow riverbanks and sneaking into a hidden path, the magnificent Indein Pagoda complex will burst into your view. Hundreds of small stupas spring out at the lakeshore and the moss-covered surfaces tell you about their historical story. There's no need to control your heartbeat from getting such a pleasant surprise; just enjoy it and commit this charming sight to memory.

It's hard to end this unforgettable Myanmar journey but exotic Bangkok awaits you. A private transfer from the airport to your hotel is provided. Settle into your hotel and relax.

Bangkok is not only the capital of Thailand but also a bustling, exotic city for travelers.

Traffic jams can't be avoided if you don't pick the right time to go out. Your local guide will transfer you to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market early in the morning to catch the best time to visit (8–10am) to avoid the tourist crowds. Take a long-tail boat down to the floating market — paddling along the canal among lots of boats, the picture-postcard images you've seen before become a reality.

After spending 1 to 2 hours at Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, you will return to Bangkok to visit three highlights: the spectacular Grand Palace, the impressive Temple of the Emerald Buddha, and the famous Jim Thompson House.

There are no activities in the morning so you can get up late or wander around your hotel before taking an afternoon flight to Phuket.

It's time to switch into vacation mode after landing in Phuket.

Sunshine, beaches, and cool water — enjoy your vacation as you wish.

Fly to Bangkok to catch your onward flight back home. Global Highlights is more than happy to be part of your unforgettable 14-day Myanmar and Thailand tour, and we hope to help you again soon.

General information for accommodation in Myanmar

Most hotels for foreign tourists in Myanmar were built in the late 1990's without A/C and limited choices. It is until recent years that A/C rooms and family rooms have become a standard for hotels when more and more foreign-funded hotels are being built. Hotels of Global Highlights' selection are all with A/C and rooms of at least 30㎡. To ensure a cozy stay, Global Highlights would suggest you choose hotels at a higher ranking.

Daily breakfast at hotels and a lunch for days with sightseeing are included, so are some dinners as mentioned in the itinerary. For meals that are not included, your tour guides will suggest where and what to eat.

Food in these countries is mainly rice-based and you will eat a lot of vegetables, fish, chicken and beef. If you would like to make special arrangements, such as Halal or Kosher food, or none-dairy, please inform your travel advisor at the time of inquiry. We will do our best to accommodate you.

Just a heads-up: Halal options can be very limited in Bagan and Inle Lake, and we will use common restaurants and make special orders upon your permission.

Transportation

You will have a private car in each destination; our cars are within 5 years of usage and your private drivers will be polite and drive with strong regard for safety.

Internal flights are operated by Myanmar and Thailand's national airlines.

In Myanmar, most airlines operate flights in the early morning. Although it might be a bit tiring at the beginning, good things are that the flights are fairly short, within one hour, and you get much time for activities or leisure in the next destination.

As for overland connection, please be noted that road conditions are not very delightful in Myanmar and we wouldn't put you through discomfort from city to city as the 100km distance might take up to 5 hours.

In Thailand, there are refquent flights between two major tourist cities, thus we will update the fligt information once confirmed.

Arrangements

Sightseeing, activities and accommodations that are mentioned in this tour you are looking at are just for your inspiration.

If you want to have a free afternoon upon arrival in Inle Lake, we will remove the afternoon boat trip; if you would like to have a candle-lit dinner among Bagan's temples, special arranges will be made; it is always up to you to make the trip just the right way you want.

If you are looking for experiences that are not done by others, Discovery your way, Global Highlights' motto suites you the best.

Responsible Travel

Travel avails you with special experiences. Somehow its impact on the local community can be more beyond imagination and what Global Highlights wishes to do is lead the impact onto a good path, a path that helps the local people (not only your tour guides) boarden their outlook and the local communities develop.

Some lunches are served at local restaurants that are also training centers for former street kids. Taking baby steps one at a time, we highly appreciate you would like to be part of it (of course, we can make other arrangements if needed).

With that being said, detours to so-called factories or specialty workshops are strictly prohibited. We make sure your tour guides earn enough to support their families without squeezing commissions out of you.

Hi Giang, We just got back from 2 weeks in Thailand and Myanmar. I just wanted to let you know that everything in Myanmar was wonderful. Your arrangements were among the best we have ever experienced on a tour. The guides were great. They met us on time at airports and were very friendly. I would especially recommend the guide in Bagan- San- who was extremely knowledgeable about the temples and history. Also, the hotels were superb- Bagan and Inle Lake were truly beautiful. I would definitely you use again if we return to Asia. Thank you,

Originally built in the 14th century, this temple provided accommodation to esteemed visiting priests and shelter for local monks during rainfall. Experience the peaceful atmosphere and marvel at the temple's serene beauty.

Embark on a scenic drive to Doi Suthep Mountain, allowing you to soak in the breathtaking views of Northern Thailand's majestic mountains and lush forests. The highlight of the tour awaits at Wat Phra That, one of the region's most sacred temples. Established in 1383 AD, this temple offers a glimpse into centuries of religious devotion. Climb 309 steps to reach the temple (or opt for a tram for a small fee), where you can admire panoramic views over the city.

Participate in the cherished Thai festival of Loy Krathong, also known as the floating lantern festival, and embrace the local culture and traditions. Join us for an unforgettable evening at a serene riverside restaurant, offering picturesque views of the Ping River.

Engage in the art of lantern-making as skilled instructors guide you through creating your own Thai lantern using traditional materials. Let your creativity shine as you design a unique and beautiful lantern. Immerse yourself in the process, experiencing the local craftsmanship firsthand.

After crafting your lantern, indulge in a delectable a la carte dinner featuring delicious northern Thai dishes. Delight in the flavors while enjoying the captivating sunset over the tranquil river, adding a touch of magic to the atmosphere.

As darkness begins to envelop the surroundings, it is time to release your beautifully decorated floating lantern onto a pond or the river. Observe as the lanterns gracefully float away, illuminating the night sky. Don't forget to make a wish as you watch your lantern join the others in creating a mesmerizing display.

Experience the vibrant culinary scene of Chiang Mai on an enticing street food tour. Known for its visually stunning landscapes, Chiang Mai is equally acclaimed as a culinary haven, offering a mouthwatering fusion of Northern Thai, Burmese, and Lao cuisine.

Embark on a flavorful adventure as you explore the bustling street food scene in the Three Kings Monument area, situated in the heart of the town center. Immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere and indulge in a variety of delectable dishes sold from stalls and shophouses.

Savor Northern Thai-style noodle soup, tantalizing stir-fries, iconic Phad Thai, fragrant khao mangai (chicken rice), and the famous khao soi—a Burmese-influenced noodle dish that is a true delight. Treat your taste buds to a vivid array of fresh fruits and discover the sweet pleasures of authentic Thai desserts.

Experience the enchantment of the Chiang Mai CAD Khomloy Sky Lantern Festival with our convenient standard ticket, which includes round-way shared transfers for your ease and comfort. Immerse yourself in the captivating Lanna culture as you witness cultural performances such as the Lanna sword dance, boxing demonstrations, and traditional Lanna sword making. Indulge in authentic Lanna Thai snacks, desserts, and beverages while enjoying the sounds of Lanna drums during a warm welcome to the festival.

Join the religious ceremony in front of the majestic pagoda, where chanting and meditation create a spiritual atmosphere. As the sky darkens, witness the magical sight of lanterns being launched into the night sky, creating a breathtaking display of lights and wishes.
