La personne souriante et accueillante malgré une heure de fermeture très proche. Il a pris le temps d'écouter de résoudre ma problématique de portable et de bons conseils sur l'éventuel achat futur mais sans forcer la main. Du coup, mon achat s'est fait chez lui, après quelques jours de réflexion. Et, il m'a orienté vers une connaissance pour tenter un sauvetage de mes données qui sont très importantes pour moi et que lui n'avait pas réussi à résoudre sur mon portable défaillant.

C'est dommage qu'YNOTEK, nait pas bien respecté le délai d'expédition du contrat 48 - 72h. En effet, ils ont reçu mon IPHONE le mardi matin, (Chronopost), et selon le délai de remplacement indiqué sur site (2H pour les clients de Tours), Il aurait pû repartir soit le mardi soir, ou au plus tard le mercredi après-midi, et de fait je l'aurai reçu le jeudi. Or je ne l'ai reçu que le vendredi. C'est dommage, car j'avais une confiance certaine, à la lecture site internet. Je vous invite juste à améliorer les process pour que tout soit vraiment impeccable. Merci en tout cas de votre travail.

Remplacement de la vitre arrière et d'un écran d'un iphone XS. Le remplacement a été rapide et le résultat est de qualité. Un petit bémol pour la qualité de l'écran qui est légèrement flou par rapport à l'original.

3. WHAT IS THE CLIMATE OF NORTHERN EUROPE?

In Northern Europe the climate varies a lot between seasons. This means that your experience of a destination will be different depending on the time of year that you’re travelling. Happily, this just gives you more reasons for a return visit.

The spring and summer season is from May to September in Northern Europe. This time of year tends to bring drier and milder weather. And the region’s warmest average temperatures range from around 13°C (55°F) in parts of Iceland to 21°C (70°F) in southern Sweden.

If you’re planning an Arctic adventure to Svalbard or Greenland in summer, it’s worth remembering the average temperature at this time of year will be lower. For instance, July is the warmest month of the year, with an average temperature of around 7°C (45°F).

In general, Northern Europe’s winter months, from October to April, tend to be chillier. That said, the Gulf Stream prevents the region from becoming as cold as countries at similar latitudes, like Canada.

For example, in Nordic Visitor’s Northern European winter destinations, the lowest average temperatures vary from approximately -11°C (12°F) in Lapland to 7°C (45°F) in Ireland. Meanwhile the average winter temperature in Iceland is usually around 1°C (34°F).

The best time to visit Northern Europe really depends on how you want to explore and the attractions you wish to discover.

If you are looking to visit when temperatures are mild, then book a tour during the spring and summer months. Between April and September, you’d get to see lush green landscapes and enjoy long days, which is perfect for outdoor activities like hiking.

As well as this, the midnight sun is in full swing in certain areas such as Iceland, Northern Norway and Greenland. This is a phenomenon where the sun doesn’t set for weeks or months.

5. WHERE AND WHEN CAN I SEE THE NORTHERN LIGHTS IN EUROPE?

Aurora borealis activity is strongest closer to the North Pole, so your best bet is to visit Iceland, Norway, Lapland and Svalbard to catch sight of the northern lights. These destinations are located within or near to the Arctic Circle, where you have a higher chance of seeing the aurora.

Occasionally you can spot them in other parts of Northern Europe, such as Scotland. But sightings are much rarer as it’s further away from the Arctic Circle.

If you’re keen to see this natural phenomenon in Europe, then book your trip for the winter months, when the nights are long. This will give you more hours of darkness to search for the northern lights.

6. WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO TOUR NORTHERN EUROPE?

7. DO I NEED A VISA TO GO TO NORTHERN EUROPE?

Fortunately, if you’re arriving from North America, Australia, Japan, or New Zealand, you will not need a visa to visit Northern Europe. You must have a valid passport with at least 6 months left before it expires.

If you’re visiting from outside of these places, you will need to apply for a Schengen visa to enter the Nordic countries. This is a short-stay visa that permits you to travel to Schengen Area member countries for up to 90 days.

The Schengen visa doesn’t apply to Scotland, the rest of the UK, or Ireland. But citizens of the EU, EEA and Switzerland can visit without a visa. If you’re travelling from elsewhere, you may need to apply for a Standard Visitor visa for Scotland and the UK, or a Short Stay ‘C’ visa for Ireland.

8. CAN I CUSTOMISE MY NORTHERN EUROPE TOUR?

Yes, it’s easy to tailor your tour online. As you go through the booking steps, you can add extra nights, room upgrades and optional excursions to your itinerary. For instance, if you’re travelling to Iceland, you might like to include an extra day at the end of your trip for visiting the Blue Lagoon.

4 Day - Northern Lights, Snæfellsnes & Glacier Lagoon

Our first and second days were to tour West Coast and Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Our guide/driver was knowledgeable and took us to see all the points of interest. On the second morning, due to the weather condition we started at midday, he still got us to see every thing on the itinerary. On the first night we stayed late to look for northern lights until past midnight, the guide was with us the whole time checking on the forecast. Because of the not so perfect condition, we didn't see the lights after all. The second part was to the South Coast, Ice Cave, Skaftafell and Jokulsarlon Ice Lagoon. We had a different guide/driver. On his first day, we visited waterfalls, etc. and he managed taking us to Jokulsarlon Ice Lagoon to see the ice crystals on the beach. He announced that the Ice Cave tour was cancelled due to water in the cave and told us that we should request refund by the company. He said the next day, due to storm coming we had to leave the hotel by 7:30, going back straight to Reykjavik. That night when asked about chance to see northern lights, our tour guide said that he would pay attention to it until 11 before going to bed, but for any questions we could find him in his room before 11. He just pointed out a general direction for us but didn't tell us the exact location we should go to look for the lights. At 10:30 that night, we finally got to see the lights albeit a little late to catch the best part when we heard noise in the hallway and followed people from other tour groups to the right spot. Our impression was that our guide was not interested in helping us to view the northern lights although the northern lights were the main attraction for this particular tour and clearly the occurrence of the lights had been forecasted for the time. We understand that northern lights are natural phenomenon and we may not be able to see it on our tour but when there was forecast for it, our tour guide should really helping us to look for it or give us detailed direction for the exact location to view.

This trip gives a wide range of experiences. Different countries: Norway, Sweden, Finland. Different types of transport: boat, ship, train, tram, bus, bike. Different types of location: cities, countryside, lakes, fjords. Different activities: historical tours, hiking, scenic tours, sampling local foods, bob sledding. Our guide Sigrid, from Norway, was outstanding. Very organised, spoke many languages, excellent knowledge of the areas we were exploring and so much more, good sense of humour, caring, joined in and shared her passion of Scandanavia. There were so many wow moments on this trip especially the amazing views. The sight of the Fjords and tyke snow capped mounds will live on in my memory forever. 5am amazing experience.

Excellent tour though a bit pricey. Excursions alone were $2000 Australian dollars for two but probably reflects Scandinavia generally. Most days held great interest and sights. Only two were more about getting from A to B.

Focus on Scandinavia

There has been some renewed interest in Scandanavia as a touring destination, mainly among Australians and Americans (very few Brits) who have visited central Europe before and who now want to add something of the north to another tour or to their personal itineraries. Our party comprised 46 friendly travellers which was probably over the top for the pace of the tour and the management of the guests by the tour director, no matter how competent. Bus transportation was of good quality with safe, knowledgeable drivers which was a good thing as this tour clocks up over 2700km plus the odd ferry trip and a cruise on the Sogne Fjord. Check airport transfers are included. Our tour director Jane was well briefed and imparted all the essential information with good humour and in a clear manner. Guests should be prepared for longish days with only one or two hotel stopovers longer than the one night duration. For the cost of the holiday, the general standard of the hotels is sound to good. Much has been written about the location of some of the hotels being sometimes well away from the city centre but given there are several opportunities on optional tours (expensive) and included sightseeing to visit the central areas, this should not represent a problem. Denmark, Sweden and particularly Norway are expensive places to visit so be prepared to enjoy your included meals and maybe prepare your picnics for lunchtime stops. The breakfasts are almost entirely very good with lots of choice. Some , but not all, of the evening buffets are less appetising but one or two are excellent. Norway in particular is spectacularly scenic whilst Denmark, other than Copenhagen, is less eye catching. Tour guides are well prepared, speak excellent English and the use of whisper boxes is ideal. Previous reviewers are right in that this is a well presented and easily accessible tour, ideal for the first time visitor to Scandanavia who wishes to make a mental note of where they would like to visit or discover more on some future occasion.

Nikolai was FANTASTIC!!!! He was a great tour leader. The tour took us to many places and he educated us well. However, just a few negative comments. The hotels were not satisfactory ....I am used to better hotels when I travel. Carrying my luggage throughout the tour was very burdensome. I am an older person, and although I am in great shape, I did not want to be responsible for carrying my luggage everywhere. There was an 89 year old man on our trip. He had a real hard time catching up. I usually go on escorted tours where my luggage, and everything else, is handled by the guides, not by me. I loved the places that wer went to and overall I would suggest people take Tourradar and Intrepid if they don't mind doing some of the labor involved.

If you’re interested in Norwegian culture and history, then Oslo has it all, and the best area to visit is the Bygdøy Peninsula.

On this tiny peninsula in the west of Oslo, you’ll find the most interesting cultural attractions in the city. Top on my list is the Viking Ship Museum , where you’ll find no less than 3 genuine Viking ships recovered from 9 th -century burial mounds.

Many visitors will be drawn to the spectacular exhibits at the Norwegian Maritime Museum, which boasts several relatively modern ship exhibits along with relocated buildings and a collection of 40 oil paintings relating to Norway’s long relationship with the sea.

Other museums found on the peninsula include the Fram Museum of Polar Exploration, the Kon-Tiki Museum, the Norwegian Folk Museum , and the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History.

Those more drawn to art and architecture should look east toward central Oslo and visit the iconic Oslo Opera House.

This masterpiece of modern architecture not only houses the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet plus the National Opera Theater, but it also boasts a significant modern art collection, including the famous floating steel and glass sculpture She Lies .

In the same area, you will find the Munch Museum. There are few people in the western world who would not recognize Edvard Munch’s The Scream , and here is where you can see it in person along with other examples of the artist’s work.
