The men's second major of the year is in full swing on Day 3 after some dramatic delays on Day 2. Yesterday's tee times were pushed back due to weather, a fatal early-morning traffic accident and the unrelated arrest of World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler — who has since been charged with second degree assault of police officer, criminal mischief third degree, reckless driving, disregard signals from officer directing traffic. Scheffler was back on the green shortly after his arrest, though. Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, is the host of the PGA Championship for the fourth time (and the first time since 2014). Big names, including the defending PGA champ Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy — fresh off his Wells Fargo title win — Scottie Scheffler and Tiger Woods are competing for the $17.5 million purse . This Saturday, the 2024 PGA Championship action starts at 8 a.m. ET on ESPN+.

What channel is the 2024 PGA Championship on?

For US viewers, the PGA Championship will air mainly on ESPN and CBS. There will be select coverage streaming on ESPN+, and the Golf Channel's alternative coverage airing on its network and streaming on Peacock.

ESPN will air the majority of the first two rounds of the tournament on Thursday and Friday, and then ESPN and CBS will share the third and final rounds on Saturday and Sunday.

ESPN+ will have early coverage before the ESPN and CBS broadcasts all four days of the tournament and will also stream the practices Wednesday before the tournament begins.

2024 PGA Championship live coverage: How to watch the PGA on Saturday

Fans have lots of ways to watch Saturday's action at the 2024 PGA Championship.

The 2024 PGA Championship continues Saturday morning at Valhalla Golf Club in Kentucky. Here’s what you need to know to watch PGA Saturday on TV or online.

How to watch PGA Saturday

UPDATE: A fog delay early Saturday at Valhalla delayed the resumption of Round 2 until 9:40 a.m. ET. Round 2 is now complete, the cut has been made and Saturday tee times have been released, which you can see at the bottom of this post.

In a chaotic, ultimately incomplete round Friday at Valhalla, Xander Schauffele maintained his lead heading into Saturday play at this PGA Championship. Collin Morikawa trails Schauffele by one after a second-round 65, while Sahith Theegala is one shot further back.

Among the players tied three shots back at nine under is World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler , who recovered from a shocking early-morning arrest to shoot an impressive 66 .

But the second round isn’t quite over yet. After a tragic accident delayed the start, play was suspended due to darkness Friday evening. Before the cut can be made and third-round tee times determined, those players will have to complete their rounds Saturday morning beginning at 7:15 a.m. ET. The third round will then begin at approximately 9 a.m. ET.

You can stream the third round of the PGA Championship via ESPN+ , beginning early Saturday morning and lasting all day long. Options include exclusive early coverage beginning at 9 a.m. ET, featured groups, featured holes and more. ESPN and CBS will split the TV coverage, with ESPN opening the action at 10 a.m. ET before CBS takes over from 1-7 p.m. ET. Paramount+ will offer a live simulcast of CBS’s broadcast.

2024 PGA Championship live stream, where to watch: TV coverage, channel, Tiger Woods in Round 2, schedule

Watch every single shot from tiger woods and the biggest names in golf throughout round 2 at valhalla.

The 2024 PGA Championship is underway with three days of pristine golf remaining at one of the nation's best courses. The action in Louisville continues Friday with Round 2 at Valhalla Golf Club offering an opportunity for some of the best golfers in the world to streak up the leaderboard ahead of the weekend. 

It did not start without controversy, though, as world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler was arrested outside Valhalla for disobeying a police officer in a traffic-related incident only to be released less than 90 minutes before his rescheduled tee time. This came after a  pedestrian was hit by a shuttle bus and killed outside the Valhalla grounds in an unrelated  circumstance.

Expectations of a three-horse race atop the PGA Championship will continue unabated as Scheffler, Brooks Koepka and Rory McIlroy -- each of whom won their last two starts on their respective tours -- are all heavily in contention. Still, all three are looking up at Xander Schauffele, who tied a major championship record and set a PGA Championship-best mark with an opening-round 62. McIlroy is the closest at four shots back with Scheffler and Koepka both five off the lead.

Given how much talent in the field, whoever ultimately prevails at Valhalla will surely earn the Wanamaker Trophy and a winner's share that should approach $3 million once it is officially announced by the PGA this weekend.

All eyes will also be on Tiger Woods, who sits below the projected cutline simply because he did not go as low as everyone else. Woods is attempting to play 72 holes at the PGA Championship for the first time since 2020. Phil Mickelson is also seeking to prove that his 2021 PGA was not an aberration but rather proof that he still has game left in his bag; unfortunately, Lefty will have to put together a tremendous round just to play the weekend.

Round 3 of the Wells Fargo Championship gets underway Friday from Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. The PGA TOUR returns to Quail Hollow for the sixth Signature Event of the season.

Xander Schauffele extended his lead on Friday to four shots after a second-round 67. Schauffele now sits at 11-under heading into the weekend, four shots clear of his nearest competitors and former Wells Fargo Championship winners Rory McIlroy and Jason Day. McIlroy, who carded a bogey-free 68, managed to lose ground on Schauffele in his attempt at a fourth Wells Fargo title. Day, who won the event in 2018, carded a 4-under 67 on Friday that was highlighted by five birdies in a six-hole stretch around the turn. Sungjae Im and Taylor Moore sit in T4 at 6-under with some work to do on the weekend to catch Schauffele.
