I like the fact there is a woman’s…

I like the fact there is a woman’s section. It really gives me a peace of mind and helps me feel confident enough to really work out, use / try different equipment without feeling uncomfortable. That’s the only reason I love coming to this specific gym

Great equipment

Great equipment, a lot of space ! Cleaning stations!!! It’s a shame not all or gyms have cleaning stations. I used the 3day pass to enter your gym and I live in Tottenham. The seven sisters gym currently don’t cleaning stations. And when I asked about this I got a repeated line “ we go around cleaning Machines for you” i went on to say but the machine I wanted to use had sweat all over it and I couldn’t use it. Do unhygienic and my membership is now cancelled. But I must say Finsbury Park is one of the best PureGym’s.

Brilliant gym upgrade

The gym has undergone a refurb. The new layout and additional equipment have really improved the functionality of the huge space. Even during busy periods it’s possible to access equipment whereas previously you’d have to queue. The women’s only area feels complete and has been extended. Looking forward to the showers and changing rooms upgrade.

The gym has been playing much better…

The gym has been playing much better music to work out too lately so workouts have been much better.

Low cost gym offering premium services

At Finsbury Park pure gym is always improving but one drawback is that the equipment on the top floor is too close to one another otherwise everything it is great place to train.

The atmosphere is friendly

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. The gym in general is ok, unfair to pay £4 for some classes

The gym in general is ok. Classes are not enough for the amount of members. Also i think is very unfair to pay £4 pounds for the classes I’m more interested like Yoga, Pilates and Zumba. The gym should pay the teachers no us. Because we paid our membership every month and i think is not fair to pay every time i want to do Yoga for example…. There is other PureGym that you don’t have to pay for this.

All classes are included with in the memberships however, as the Yoga, Pilates and Zumba classes are taught by an external instructor; it would be an extra £2 - £4 which you would pay cash in hand to the instructor. Okay gym, awful classes

I've been a customer here for over a year now, and the gym is pretty good, well equipped and does the job. My main review is for the PT's who lead the sessions - Either they're not trained or shouldn't be supported to run classes. Sessions where the trainer is 1) Underprepared to lead (Not knowing what exercises come next), 2) Demotivated (Barely engaging with customers / going on phones), and 3) Not being attentive to attendees (Playing random music / not speaking) should not be paid for. I'm sure that they're great people and I realise that this isn't a luxury gym experience - But these are some bare minimum things that have gone unchanged for the better part of a year. Please do better, PureGym!

not clean and no aircon downstairs

I understand the Holloway Road gym is under maintenance, but please try to improve the current gym. It's very dirty and smelly! It's also overcrowded. No Aircon Downstairs! Get your cleaning staff to clean, and encourage users to clean after themself or better, get a cleaner at the busiest times! Not a great experience

The gym is dangerously hot

The gym is dangerously hot. Full aircon is stated to be provided as part of the membership for this gym - this is not true. Pure gym have not provided an explanation, warning or compensation to gym goers. Update - I have received an email from PureGym confirming the air con has not been working. This is not acknowledged as part of their response to this message.

Temperatures/air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers. Overall the gym is nice but the women’s…

Overall the gym is nice but the women’s only area is very cramped and lack of equipment. The bathrooms are always unclean, no loo paper, no coat hooks, leaks in the bathroom. Ideally there would be more consistent cleaning operations during the day.

Average at best

The staff including the management just hang around a desk most of the time laughing and joking. What do these people actually do? The changing rooms are not warm enough, the lockers are monopolised by people locking them and leaving the premises. This is not checked by the staff despite the website stating that they do this every night. Music is too loud. The wifi provided does connect but signal is poor. Its okay for the price but not well managed. Changing rooms are a bit unclean. Also the off peak hours are not the same as what is stated on the website they are 30 minutes later.
