Day 2 : Kolkata Sightseeing & Evening drop to Sealdah / Howrah Rail station

Today after breakfast visit visit Kalighat Temple, one of the most oldest and important temple in India for Mata Kali devi beside the temple visit the home of unsheltered people made by Mother Teresa as known mother of the world. Zoological Garden, Kolkata's interesting zoo-the oldest in India. It was opened on Jan 1st 1876, by the Prince of Wales. The 16 hectare grounds house a wide species of animals & birds including the rare white Bengal Tiger. Directly across the main zoo is an aquarium, with a variety of aquatic life around the world. Later proceed for Indian Museum, a huge piece of Italian architecture on Jawaharlal Nehru Road, which was built in 1875. The largest museum in the country and is popularly known as Jadu Ghar (Magic House), this is the premier national collection in the subcontinent. Also visit Victoria Memorial, This is one of India's most beautiful monuments built between 1906 and 1921 on the lines of white marble. All monuments of this memorial were designed in Italian Renaissance-Mughal style and build of white marble from Rajasthan. The memorial was the inspiration of Lord Curzon, who in 1901, felt that his lately departed Queen Empress, required a suitable monument to her memory.  It took 20 years to build at a cost of 10 million rupees. Later proceed for Science City, This 21st Century marvel of science, communication and environment is the first and only institution of its kind in India and has a Space Theatre. 2. Ravangla

Ravangla stands on a hilly ridge, bordered by lush greenery. Her expansive tea gardens, ancient monasteries and cascading waterfalls make this an interesting place to spend a couple of days. When in Ravangla , visit the Ralong and Doling monastery, enjoy the sunrise at Reyong View Point and visit the Temi Tea Gardens.

You can reach Ravangla in around 2 hours from Gangtok by cab.

Doling Gompa — an excellent spot for trekking. A premier tourist spot in Ravangla, this monastery is located on an elevated area with an excellent backdrop of mountains and lush greenery. For the trek, take the Barfung retreat through forests to reach the monastery.

A popular town in North Sikkim, the picturesque Chungthang lies at the confluence of river Lachung & Lachen. Considered to be blessed by saint Padmasambhava, Chungthang feels gifted with enviably rich biodiversity.

The preferred route to Chungthang is a taxi ride from Gangtok which takes around 3 hours 30 minutes.

We recommend 

Lachung and Lachen — The routes from Chungthang bifurcates towards two scenic spots, Lachung and Lachen. En route Lachung, you can stop at Naydo (bearing Guru Padmasambhava’s footprints) and Chungthang monastery. On arrival, stay overnight at Lachung, visit Yumthung Valley and Zero Point the next morning before returning to Gangtok in the evening.

Alternatively, if you wish to travel towards Lachen from Chungthang, stay overnight at Lachen, visit Gurudongmar Lake, KalaPatthar mountains and Yumthung Valley before departure.

Places to visit from Darjeeling

Explore the beauty of lesser-known Chalsa, at the foothills of Himalayas. This picturesque hamlet of West Bengal is a great place to unwind. It is home to the Gorumara National Park.

Day 1 : njp /siliguri / bagdogra to gangtok.

Arrival and Transfer to Gangtok – Guest will be received by our official at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus (Junction) – He will assist you for the forwarding journey to Gangtok

Day 2 : Gangtok to Tsongo Lake with Baba Mandir Excursion

Early morning breakfast drive to Changu / Tsomgo Lake & Baba mandir and takes nearly 2 hours. Nathula pass is an optional tour and can be arranged the previous night when Voters ID Card / Driving License / Passport will be asked for. Nathula Pass Vehicle charge has to be paid on the spot as it is not included in the final costing. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 3 : Gangtok Sight Seeing

Early morning breakfast – Gangtok local Sight Seeing will be as per the schedule of the guide 10 points includes the following

Day 2: Darjeeling Sight Seeing

Early morning at around 3:45 AM drive to 8000 feet / 2440 meters through primitive forests of oak, magnolia to Tiger Hill to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather). On the way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop .Back to hotel for breakfast .

After breakfast next round of sightseeing.

Half Day city tour includes—

Day 3: Darjeeling to Tinchuley – Lamahatta – Takdah Visit & Back to Darjeeling

After Breakfast we will transfer to Tinchuley.. and Visit also Lamahatta Eco tourism park and Takdah and same day we will return back in Darjeeling Hotel.. Over night Stay at Darjeeling.

Day 4: Darjeeling to Njp / Siliguri / Bagdogra Drop via Mirik & Pashupatinath

Early morning breakfast – Next start for the 32 kilometers drive via Nepal border to Mirik – It’s a two hours drive – Mirik is a quiet town between Siliguri and Darjeeling. Return back to Njp / Siliguri / Bagdogra.

Darjeeling & Gangtok 4 Nights/ 5 Days

Day 3: gangtok to darjeeling transfer.

Transfer to Darjeeling – Early Morning breakfast – Next the driver will assist you for the forwarding journey to Darjeeling. Check in to hotel – Stroll to Mall. Overnight stay at hotel in Darjeeling.

Day 5: Kalimpong to Njp /Siliguri / Bagdogra Drop

North sikkim & gangtok 4 nights/ 5 days, day 2: transfer to lachen from gangtok ( bartuk & seven sister water falls).

Early morning breakfast – Drive 135 kilometers, 5 – 6 hours drive. Lachen is 35 kilometers from Chungthang. Reach Lachen late afternoon / early evening – The snow capped peaks, Chopta Valley, Thangu are the major attraction. Overnight stay at Hotel in Lachen

Day 3: Lachen to Lachung transfer( GurudongmarLake visit if Weather Permit)

Early morning breakfast – Visit to Gurudongmar Lake (If weather Permit) 66 kilometers, 3 ½ – 4 hour’s drive – A valley at an altitude of 17, 800 feet generally covered with snow from December to April. Back to Resort for Lunch –Drive to Lachung. Overnight stay at Hotel at Lachung.

Day 4 : Lachung to Yumthang Valley Excursion 25kms in 1.5hrs (One Way) (Zero Point is Optional)

After breakfast drive towards Yumthang situated at an elevation of nearly 11800 feet – 26 kilometers and 1 ½ hour’s drive. Return to Lachung for lunch – After lunch drive to Gangtok 130 kilometers, 4 – 5 hours drive. Over Night stay at Gangtok.

Day 5: Gangtok to Njp / Siliguri / Bagdogra Drop

North sikkim & gangtok 5 nights/ 6 days, day 2: transfer to lachen from gangtok.

Early morning breakfast – Drive 135 kilometers, 5 – 6 hours drive. Lachen is 35 kilometers from Chungthang. Reach Lachen late afternoon / early evening – The snow capped peaks, Chopta Valley, Thangu are the major attraction. Overnight stay at Hotel in Lachen.

It was a wonderful experience with the Veena World family. We came back home with many happy memories of the trip. The tour managers - Mr. Nishikant Raul and Mr. Dattaprasad Harmalkar were extremely supportive and cooperative throughout the whole journey. Right from calling us up on the first day for reaching the Mumbai airport on time; till dropping us off back at home airport, they were with us at every moment. Calling to give us wakeup call every morning, properly arranging our breakfast lunch and dinner schedules, giving insightful information about each and every sightseeing, taking care of our luggage when checking in and checking out from hotels, they have been doing a spectacular job to ensure everything was well and organised for us. They were also extra attentive to a senior family couple in the group and made sure to always support and help them wherever necessary. They also helped us all by suggesting good local spots and markets for shopping and local cuisine. We are very grateful for their cooperation. The hotels selected by the Veena World team have been spectacular. All the hotels were 3-4 star with all basic necessities provided. The hotel staff were also very supportive and helpful. The cars assigned to every family were also very spacious and comfortable. No more than 4 people were sitting in each XUV car to ensure proper space for everyone. Dear Sir/Madam, We booked our trip for Sikkim , Darjeeling , Gangtok and Lachung, Actually we book this trip for lachung only but in the last movement you changed destination form lachung to Pelling , after that I fights with your lot of Executive mainly Mr. Dattaprasad I fired lot of , also I planed to raise the complaint in consumer court, I gave option to transfer my money to March trip but your Executive told already booked ticket's. Finally we went for trip. I enjoyed the trip due to Mr. Nishikant and Mr. Dattapradad only, both have great personality to entertain the guest and they did lot of for us.They planed the tour very timely and great form wakeup call to dinner very well, Also Darjeeling Hotel VICEROY nice and staff is helpful we enjoyed this trip very nicely. This is my 3 rd Trip with Veena World and 1 Trip we paid the money but dropped due to medical reason. We have to do may trips with Veena World in Future. Itinerary (Day Wise)

Bagdogra – gangtok (2 nights).

Tour Guests will meet at Bagdogra Airport as per the scheduled flight departure time. Upon arrival they will meet Veena World Tour Manager and proceed to Gangtok - a city situated amidst natural beauty. In the evening, we enjoy a short Meet & Greet session.

• Tea/Coffee en-route Gangtok

Today we explore Gangtok city, we visit Ranka Monastery, Banjhakri waterfall (subject to operation), we enjoy a Rope Way Ride which gives us a splendid view of Gangtok city, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology and Dordul Chorten Stupa. Later we visit the Flower exhibition centre, Hanuman Tok, Ganesh Tok and Tashi View Point to capture amazing views of Himalayan ranges.

Gangtok – Lachung (2 Nights)

Today we proceed to Lachung - One of the most stunning Himalayan villages. En route we visit Bhim Nala Waterfalls – one of the tallest waterfalls in Sikkim. Note: Lachung is situated at a high altitude, which may pose challenges for guests with certain health conditions. If you have pre-existing health issues, we strongly recommend consulting with your doctor before planning your visit to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Day 1 New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) - Gangtok (130 km / 4 hours)

Your adventure begins with an early morning flight or train ride to the NJP railway station or Bagdogra airport. Transfers to Gangtok will be organised upon arrival.

Keep your eyes peeled as you ascend to a height of 1437 metres above sea level and pass through some of the most beautiful mountain valleys. Check into your hotel room and freshen yourself after you arrive in Gangtok. The remainder of the day is free.

Day 2 Gangtok Excursion for the Whole Day

On your Gangtok Darjeeling package tour, start early in the morning with a hearty breakfast before heading out for some sightseeing in Gangtok.

Lake Tsomgo

Begin your journey to Tsomgo Lake, which is situated at a height of 12,400 feet. After a 3-hour trip, you’ll arrive at this glacier lake, which Buddhists and Hindus regard as extremely sacred and beloved. If you visit Gangtok during the spring season, don’t miss the abundance of flowers in bloom.

Mandir of Baba Harbhajan

Tibetology Institute

Then make your way to the Institute of Tibetology, where you may take in the views while learning about Mahayana Buddhism and Tibetan culture.

Ropeway to Banjhakri Falls and Flower Museum

Before taking the ropeway to the Banjhakri Falls, spend some time at the flower museum and take in the sights of some unusual flora and fauna. It is well-known for its breathtaking sights and relaxing atmosphere.
