What our clients say.

By far the most accommodating and professional Travel Agency I’ve come across! I had to book an urgent flight for my mum to the US and they were able to get me a flight booked within the day. They also assisted me with arranging her VISA and a place to stay while her sister had an unexpected surgery. Adam and the team made her trip to the states stress free and I couldn’t recommend them more! Holidays or quick trips they’re definitely the team to get in touch with.

Everything about our experience was outstanding and we would highly recommend moving away from the mainstream agencies and towards Itineraries Travel Consultants. He will sort and think about everything related to your trip, and follow up with you to make sure you are absolutely happy with everything. Highly highly recommend.

I've used Itineraries travel for the last 15 years and had the most outstanding professional support to organise my overseas holidays. Staff have genuine interest in travel and focused on what I want from my holiday. The itinerary is detailed, helpful and I've never been disappointed in any aspect of any holiday they have organised for me. Don't go to anyone else.

I am never flying anywhere ever again without Itineraries booking my trip!

This was a bucket list trip of a lifetime for us. TCS far exceeded any and all expectations. All the personnel in the office, at each of the sites, on the tours, and in the air were professional, courteous and friendly. Everything about the trip was just over the top and we will likely go on another of their spectacular itineraries in the near future!

This Around-the-World by Private Jet excursion will be my first journey with TCS World Travel. My initial encounter was with Rachael, who is extremely personable, knowledgeable, and accommodating. She was very patient in answering many questions and offering suggestions and guidance. I look forward to the next stage of planning for the exciting excursion.

Itineraries Travel Consultants: Reviews

Fantastic experience: I've used Intineraries travel for the last 15 years and had the most outstanding professional support to organise my overseas holidays. Staff have genuine interest in travel and focused on what I want from my holiday. The itinerary is detailed, helpful and I've never been disappointed in any aspect of any holiday they have organised for me. Don't go to anyone else. Linda

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t have imagined a better a experience. The communication was especially on point!

Fantastic experience: I recently had the pleasure of working with Anna at Itineraries travel agency. It was the best decision for our dream holiday. Anna created an epic Italian adventure for our family of four to celebrate a milestone birthday. Planning was seamless, no change was ever a problem, accomodation options perfectly fit our requirements, and itinerary recommendations were always excellent ideas. Anna was genuinely excited for us, so we knew she'd put a lot of love into our itinerary and it showed...we had the holiday of a lifetime!!! Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Thanks so much to Tina Lazell at Itineraries Travel Consultants for organising a memorable holiday for us in Tasmania. Nothing was too much trouble, and our well-planned trip was absolutely perfect. Tina offered us a range of options to choose from and she was 100% committed to planning the type of holiday that we would enjoy. All the accommodation was excellent, and Tina considered our interest in architectural design and unique features which made the holiday extra special. Every detail of our trip was exceptional. I will definitely book through Itineraries again and have made this recommendation to friends and work colleagues. Thank you again Tina for your help with our Tassie trip.

Fantastic experience: We have just come back from our trip of kakadu National Park, Katherine Gorge, Lichfield and finally Darwin. What a great trip organized for us. Things went beautifully. The car, the recommended tours and great accommodation. Tina our consultant gave us great advice on what to do, how to do it and which way to undertake this little journey. Thanks Tina will be contacting you soon for our next trip. It was truly a pleasure dealing with you.

Fantastic experience: From the moment my wife and I stepped inside itineraries, we were welcomed by the lovely Tina. We were planning a European vacation and did not know where to begin. With Tina’s insightful knowledge of the countries we were planning to visit she managed to nut out a 3 week itinerary based on our budget. This itinerary became what we affectionately called the “bible”! From hotel pick up to train scheduling, every part of the trip was meticulously laid out which made our journey throughout Europe so much easier. If you want to sit back, enjoy your travels then I cannot recommend Tina enough to take care of your holiday of a lifetime. Paul & Gail Collins

Fantastic experience: The Itineraries team helped my friends and I for our trip to Bali. They secured us great flights and also booked our travel insurance, fortunately we didn't have to use but was great knowing we were covered for our trip to Indonesia. Very professional and great communication. Thankyou Itineraries, we'll be back for our next trip!

Fantastic experience: Great customer service and good vibes. Adam listened to us and helped us to structure or trip. Thank you Adam.

Fantastic experience: Awsome service from beginning to end. Even with a Covid related issue during our trip this year, Adam stayed in contact with us daily and got us a reschedule with the utmost haste. Highly recommend the team at itineraries and will be looking to book my Christmas getaway with them soon!

Fantastic experience: Positive: Professionalism , Quality , Responsiveness , Value

Fantastic experience: Helpful

Fantastic experience: Such an amazing Team! Anna helped me to negotiate the best rates. She was very kind, professional, and super helpful. I need to say best service that I've received so far!

Fantastic experience: Adam is simply the best travel agent we have ever worked with. Everything about our experience was outstanding and we would highly recommend moving away from the mainstream agencies and towards Itineraries Travel Consultants. He will sort and think about everything related to your trip, and follow up with you to make sure you are absolutely happy with everything. Highly highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Positive: Professionalism , Responsiveness

Fantastic experience: Adam was great in assisting me to book the best holiday travels. I was about to give up going on a holiday due to COVID but Adam went extra miles to assist me and recommended all the activities and great spots to go. Very professional and I would go back to Adam again!

Fantastic experience: Adam and his team were an absolute pleasure to deal with from the get go. The communication and quality of service is the best I’ve experienced in all my years of travel. Could not recommend any stronger to call these guys if you have any desire for a perfect holiday!

Fantastic experience: Positive: Quality

Fantastic experience: Really great service, answering any and all questions I had and helped my partner and I plan a great holiday! Adam was very knowledgeable and helpful whenever I needed him.

Fantastic experience: Where do I begin..! I've been using itineraries travel consultants for quite a number of years now and just recently got back from an amazing trip to airlie beach and the whitsundays recently where I proposed. The level of care and depth that these guys go to is incredible, always has been and always will be. To the point where Adam suggested where to propose, Emily helped me pick out the ring and Phil with the execution of it all! I cannot wait to travel on our honeymoon and post the pictures up and share the stories/experiences. Literally can't recommend this team enough and in me they have a life long customer! Thanks again guys

Fantastic experience: Positive: Professionalism

Fantastic experience: I'm not really a review guy but I figured this deserved one. Phil and the team make my life alot easier, ever since i started using them I have more time to focus on work and they organize our annual family trips, which I proceed to take credit for. Absolute legends and dream to work with. My best kept secret!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended team of travel experts!!! Adam and his team were very knowledgeable and helpful in the planning and organisation for our New Year's trip to Tropical North Queensland. They knew exactly where to recommend and what was best to do for our island hopping adventure. They were also very competitively priced and offered above and beyond assistance in travel changes our group had to make. Service was impeccable and stress free. Would definitely be booking through them for future adventures.

Fantastic experience: Very good service Staff know how to get you a good deal, are willing to spend extra time explaining to you thing in depth Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: Best Travel Agency in Brisbane. I threw the team at Itineraries Travel a hard one. Last minute trip to Japan in the peak holiday period. They nailed it. My hotels were amazing. All transfers were easy and on schedule. Another challenge for the team - 3 days into the trip and a bad knock to the head while snowboarding. I was made to feel at complete ease after they contacted me to firstly make sure I was ok but then also to reassure me that my travel Insurance had my back. Next challenge. I decided to come home early for Christmas to Surprise my partner. And they pulled off a miracle and got me on an early flight getting me back to Brisbane on Christmas eve. I will only ever be booking my holidays through Itineraries Travel. Thank you to the team for everything.

Fantastic experience: Positive: Professionalism , Value

Fantastic experience: Amazing level of service before, during and after your trip ! They really do provide a unique product producing very detailed and experience based Itineraries. Will definately always book with these guys.

Making Travel Dreams Come True!

The Value of a Great Travel Consultant – 8 Real Client Scenarios

The Value of a Good Travel Consultant – 8 Real Client Scenarios

  • Flight Cancellations While Traveling  – Our client’s flight was canceled come home from Kenya. We received the immediate alert from the airline and we rebooked the client the same day (before other starting calling in).  It’s important to be very proactive in this stage, otherwise the client would have most likely had to take a flight the next day (or even the following). We also saved them time from calling the airlines and dealing with the situation while trying to enjoy their vacation.
  • Non-refundable Purchase  – We had a traveler fall in a restaurant and hurt her leg in London.  The issue was they were scheduled for a non-refundable full day tour the next morning to visit Stonehenge. While the client wasn’t hurt badly, she still wasn’t sure if she could handle a full day tour.  As a close partner with the tour company, we were able to get her tour moved to one that required less walking (at no cost). w.
  • Providing Guidance on Itinerary – We reviewed an itinerary that a client sent us that they were going to book on their own. They asked us to take a look at it and let them know our thoughts. We had charged a small consulting fee to review.  We quickly made some suggestions and told them a few areas to avoid on the itinerary. We ended up booking it for them and they could not have been happier.
  • Last Minute Bookings/Too Busy to Research – Our client had booked flights for an Italy trip, but they didn’t have time to look into anything else. They had a young family and demanding work schedules, so we were able to step in to help them.  They had contacted us about two weeks out from their trip (Yikes!).  We quickly put together a very nice itinerary and had everything reserved for them within 2 days.
  • I Need an IDP? –  We had a client who was renting a car in Italy.  They did not realize hat they were required to have an IDP ( International Drivers Permit ) to drive.  The IDP is pretty much just a translation of your own country’s drivers license and allows you to legally driver in the country that you are visiting. Without having it, you can be denied a car rental.
  • Upgrades to Room – We had a client book a standard level room at a very nice resort in Paris. We were able to surprise them with a room upgrade upon arrival based on great relationships with the hotel.  The clients were absolutely excited!
  • Coordinating Group Travel  – We often get large groups (destination weddings, friends getaways, family travel) who need assistant with planning.  A great travel consultant will be able to find a great recommendation for a group traveling. Also, the most important thing here is having a key consultant who can handle staying organized and working with multiple requests from different travelers.
  • Real-time Communication – We had a client in Paris and they realized the following day was going to have bad weather. They asked us for spa suggestions (while traveling) for the next day. We followed up immediately with a nice recommendation.  We can be your “personal concierge” at times while traveling. That’s an important element for the services that a good consultant can provide.

Travel Consultant – Providing Excellent Value & Customer Service

  • Ultimately, we feel every travel consultant should not be used for finding the best “discounts” or “deals”. We (at our agency) do not focus on that area.  Now we will find the best pricing for you, but we will not recommend certain accommodations or tours just based on pricing. That’s not the area that we are in for our clients.
  • The value of a great  travel consultant is providing expert guidance pre-travel (advice on where to stay, things to do, restaurant recommendations, first hand knowledge of an area, experiences from other clients etc), being there for you at the time of need during travel and always available post-travel as well.  Our customer service is very important to our team and we take great pride there.

thank you for sharing this informative post, i was not very much aware of what a travel consultant does

This is great. You provide such great service to your clients. I love the one about the client who hurt her leg and you were able to schedule a tour for them that required less walking. That is something that will keep clients coming back to you. Thank you for some things to look for in a travel agent, if and when we need to use one. (FB: Addie Cotoure)

It’s really important to find a person that you can work with and trust and one that understands what you like when you travel. I think that’s something that could really make your trip less stressful and more enjoyable!

This is a really informative article indeed. Having a great travel consultant is really important indeed.

Value of a good travel consultant is very important, because the whole scenario of vacation depends on them. Great information 🙂

Being a travel consultant is a very serious and challenging job! Traveling can be so difficult when you are not used to and the very vibes way to start is knowing you have someone who’ll take care of all the issues and possible problems you mentioned

This is wonderful advice! Planning a vacation can be intimidating and overwhelming, so I can easily see the benefits of consulting with a travel consultant.

It’s important to find a good travel consultant as it can mean the difference between a good and bad holiday. It’s great that the flight was rebooked so quickly! I bet he clients were pleased that it was all organised so efficiently.

A really nice post! Having a good and competent travel consultant is really important to avoid any kind of problem or quickly fixing them if some arise. Fortunately I’ve never had any kind of travel, besides a postponed flight, but I guess you never know 😉

I can see why it would be such a good value to have someone help you. And if things go sideways, always good to have someone there on your side to help out. Costs more but more peace of mind I would imagine.

This post was a real eye-opener. I never knew there were so many benefits to using a travel agent.

Sometimes I like having a travel consultant because I don’t stress at work, especially when am too busy. And I like their insights.

I’ve never thought of using a travel consultant but they definitely have value! I love that they work hard to get you upgrades and sort bad situations like cancellations out for you

Travel consultants are really necessary especially if you’re going to a country with a different language. Although it’s more expensive, I prefer it because it’s less hassle. Trips are for relaxation after all.

Great tips for those who love to travel. A travel consultant will indeed be of great help especially since traveling can sometimes be overwhelming.

Climbers rugged up against the cold on Elbrus

Elbrus, Europe's highest peak, is a giant dormant volcano that separates Europe from Asia. The straightforward yet spectacular climb is contrasted by the cultural wonders of enigmatic Russia.

With short 12 or 14 day options, the Elbrus Expedition is an ideal objective as your first or second of the Seven Summits.

Adventure Consultants offers two options for climbing Elbrus. For those who wish to explore some of Russia's most beautiful cultural cities, Trip 1 is 14 days in duration and starts in St Petersburg and finishes in Moscow. Our shorter Trip 2 is 12 days long and starts and finishes in Moscow.

Being relatively high, Elbrus demands respect and we approach this by climbing higher each day during our acclimatisation phase whilst sleeping at lower elevations at night. A cable car takes us up to accommodation at the base of the climb where we learn basic snow and ice techniques from the guides prior to the ascent. The summit day entails climbing long snow slopes with views over the wooded valleys to the surrounding peaks.

  • Get a taste of high-mountain adventure on one of the Seven Summits
  • Also one of the Volcanic Seven Summits, comprised of the highest volcanoes on each of the seven continents
  • Opportunity to discover the wonders of St Petersburg or Moscow
  • Experience non-technical moderate-altitude mountaineering

What's next on your Seven Summits Pathway ?

The ascent of Elbrus is a physically challenging ascent involving around 1,500m of elevation gain. A high level of fitness is important for a successful ascent, as summit day is often 12-hours in length. Be sure to include some long, endurance training into your fitness regimen.

No technical climbing experience required. We do recommend that you join an introductory mountaineering instruction course such as our Chamonix Introductory Mountaineering Course or Europe Private Instruction Course prior to the expedition if you have time, but it is not essential, as there are opportunities to practice and review basic snowcraft skills prior to the summit attempt, which makes an ascent of Elbrus a great option for any fit mountain enthusiast.

No prior altitude experience required.

Vladimir Putin kicked off his second day in China with a visit to Harbin city as the Russian president trumpets deeping economic and strategic ties between the two powerful neighbours.

Harbin in the northeastern Heilongjiang province, which borders Russia’s Far East , has deep social, economic and cultural ties with its neighbouring country. The city was once known as “Little Moscow ” for its substantial Russian population and cultural influence.

It remains a centre of Sino-Russian cooperation.

Mr Putin’s itinerary in Harbin includes attending the 8 th Russia-China Expo and the 4 th Russia-China Forum on Interregional Cooperation. He’s expected to be joined at these functions by his counterpart president Xi Jinping.

Mr Putin will also meet students and faculty at the Harbin Institute of Technology.

The Russian leader arrived in China for a state visit on Thursday. He met Mr Xi and signed a 7,000-word joint statement heralding a “new era” of partnership covering a range of political, economic and strategic interests.

The “no limits relationship”, as Moscow and Beijing have previously described it, is aimed at counterbalancing Western, especially American, influence in Asia and Europe.

The statement condemned the US and its allies for their “intimidation in the military sphere” against North Korea , which has strengthened its ties with Moscow in recent years and is accused of being a major supplier of weapons for Russia’s war in Ukraine . Mr Putin hosted leader North Korea’s Kim Jong-un last year .

On Thursday Mr Putin and Mr Xi also attended a gala celebration marking 75 years of diplomatic relations between their countries and gave speeches at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing.

“I am very sorry for talking for so long, not allowing the translator to speak,” Mr Putin said at one point during his speech. “I’m just feeling so much at home and thought that everybody understands Russian here.”

Mr Xi and Mr Putin spent some leisure time at Zhongnanhai, a government complex in Beijing similar to the US White House.

They strolled and held "in-depth exchanges on strategic issues of common concern" over a cup of tea, Chinese news agency Xinhua reported. The discussion included the Ukraine war.

Mr Xi bid Mr Putin goodbye with a hug as they concluded the first day of the Russian leader’s two-day visit.

The updated itinerary includes portions to replace the previously announced route through the Red Sea, while adding new ports in Africa and Europe as well as a call in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The changes will only affect the last 43 days of the 124-day voyage. The updated voyage will now visit one more port than originally planned, calling at 49 unique ports in 34 countries and territories, spanning six continents, concluding as planned on May 9, 2025, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

“The safety of our guests and crew is of the utmost importance, and we have made the decision to avoid the Red Sea after close consultation with global security experts and government authorities,” said Beth Bodensteiner, chief commercial officer for Holland America Line. “Making this change now allows us to provide certainty for our guests in preparing for this 124-day trip around the world. The new itinerary was built with guest experience top of mind and maintains exciting European and African destinations with even more ports to explore in the Mediterranean.”

Following the originally planned visit to Cape Town, South Africa, the new itinerary has been updated to include a call to Walvis Bay, Namibia, before heading north toward Praia, Ilha de Santiago, Cape Verde—the first time Holland America Line has called in more than three years. The ship will then explore the Mediterranean, calling at originally scheduled ports in Gibraltar, Gibraltar; Alexandria, Egypt; Athens, Greece; Rome and Naples, Italy; Lisbon, Portugal; and Barcelona, Spain. Newly added ports include Valletta, Malta; Tangier, Morocco; Arrecife, Alicante, Cartagena and Tenerife, Spain; Olbia and Sardinia, Italy; and Kusadasi, Turkey, pending final confirmation from relevant ports.

“Guests joining us for our 2025 Grand World Voyage will be able to immerse themselves in exciting destinations across the globe. Not only will added calls to destinations like Kusadasi grant access to the wonders of Ephesus, but originally scheduled destinations such as Alexandria will allow guests to take in the sights of both the Pyramids of Giza and Sakkara, as well as give them a chance to answer the riddle of the Sphinx,” Bodensteiner said.

For travelers seeking to make new bookings on the 2025 Grand World Voyage, starting cruise-only fares begin at $24,999 per person, based on double occupancy. Taxes, fees and port expenses are additional. Visit hollandamerica.com for full details.
