Please read this manual carefully before using our adapter and keep it for future reference.

• Do not use with electronic devices that demand power over (880W at 110V~; 1920W at 240V~).
• Do not handle with wet hands.

HOW TO USE THE ADAPTER

Use Plug: Push the desired toggle (A) all the way out until a "pop" sound is heard and locked.

Done Using: Press & hold the lock button (B) and slide the toggle (A) all the way back.

US Plug for Canada, Colombia, Japan, Mexico, USA, etc.

UK Plug for Ireland, Malaysia, Singapore, the UK, UAE, etc.

AUS Plug for Argentina, Australia, China, New Zealand, etc.

It shares blades with the US plug, and you need to manually turn them to the slant ''╱ ╲''shape.

EU Plug for all continental EU countries and many other countries in Asia, Africa and South America.

COMPATIBILITY

Our adapter can be used to charge or power: a) USB-charged products such as iPhone, Samsung and other Android phones, smart watch and fitness tracker, tablet, power bank, camera, batteries set, headsets, etc； b) small power device that supports dual (world-wide) voltage, which has “100-240V, 50/60Hz” printed on it*, such as phone or tablet charger, most laptops, etc. * Some brands might use “110-230V”, “110/250V”, or a variation of similar range.

NOT A VOLTAGE CONVERTER

In the US and Canada, the standard AC outlets are 110-120V. In Europe and many other countries, they are 220-240V. Please note that our adapter does NOT convert voltage. Using single voltage device at incompatible voltage through our adapter is strictly prohibited, as such a practice will damage your device and lead to serious consequences like overheating, smoke, fire, or even explosion.

* Normally you will see “120V, 60Hz” and/or “household use only” on such devices. Some brands might use “117V”, “110-130V”, or a variation of similar number or range.

Need Check:  Hair tools, CPAP, electric shavers and toothbrushes, etc.

NOT Allowed: Dyson products; Any appliance (hair dryer, steamer, etc) over 1600W, even if it is labeled as “dual voltage”.

REPLACEMENT OF THE FUSE

This adapter comes with 4 fuses - 2 in plug side compartment labeled with "spare & fuse", 2 extra spares in separate pouch.

Note: A blown fuse is the most common reason your adapter AC outlet stops working. If AC fails while USB ports still work, it is almost certain that the fuse is blown, especially if this happens after you use a high-power appliance like a hair dryer. The breaking capacity of the fuse is 8A.

Step 1: Pry open the fuse compartment cap and remove the ① horizontal in use (now blown) fuse.

Step 2: Replace it with the ② vertical spare fuse.

Step 3: Align the new fuse with the two metal arms, and press the cap back in.

Note： A blown fuse is the most common reason your adapter AC outlet stops working. If AC fails while USB ports still work, it is almost certain that the fuse is blown, especially if this happens after you use a high-power appliance like a hair dryer. The breaking capacity of the fuse is 8A.

APPENDIX A – COMPATIBLE SOCKETS

Please refer to this chart if you live in the US and plan to travel to other countries with your US 2-prong or 3-prong device. Again, you need to make sure the input voltage of the appliance you want to connect must be compatible with the local power network voltage.

TA-105 adapter can plug into Type A, B, C, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, N, O sockets.

It does NOT fit into Type D socket in India and Nepal, or Type M socket in South Africa, Swaziland and Lesotho - if you are travelling to these countries with our TA-105 adapter, please make sure the place you stay have the newer Type C or Type N sockets. Otherwise, or simply unsure, you will need to bring specific Type D or Type M adapters.

APPENDIX B – PLUGS ACCEPTED

Please refer to this chart if your device is not purchased in the US and you want to check if it can be plugged into our TA-105 travel adapter.

TA-105 adapter can accept Type A, B, C, E/F, G, I, J, L, N plugs from other countries.

APPENDIX C – COMPATIBLE COUNTRIES & REGIONS 200+

Most countries in Europe, North America, and Australia have well-defined plug, socket, and voltage standards. On the other hand, many South American, Asian, and African countries adopt mixed standards, and some of them are incompatible, due to historical reasons. The voltage in some countries even differs from region to region. This makes it very hard for travelers to determine what kind of adapter (or voltage transformer) is needed for their trip. We made this list, to the best of our knowledge, to give you a general idea of what types of plugs or sockets are used in over 200 countries and regions. However, with so many areas in the world and ever-changing regulations, no single list could cover all areas and be absolutely accurate. We cannot guarantee the information provided here is error-free or up-to-date. You should not rely solely on the information in the list; it is still your responsibility to do more in-depth adapter research for your trip.

As a rule of thumb for US or Canadian travelers, if you don’t see Type D or M in that country or region, our adapter will work, provided your device uses the same voltage or supports dual voltage. If you see Type D or M, more research is needed. You can also message us for more information.

1. √ = Our adapter can plug into the sockets in that country AND accept devices with that country’s plug. (Example: US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Australia, China etc.) 2. Socket only = Our adapter can plug into the sockets in that country, but NOT accept devices with that country’s plug. (Example: Denmark, Greenland) 3. Plug only = Our adapter is NOT able to plug into the sockets in that country, but able to accept devices with that country’s plug. (Example: N/A) 4. Partially = This country has more than one socket/plug standard, and one of them is Type D or M. You need to check with the place you are going to visit or stay if they have sockets other than Type D or M. (Example: India, South Africa) 5. ×  = This country only use Type D or M standard and our adapter simply won’t work in that country or accept devices from that country. (Example: Lesotho, Swaziland)

My wife and I just returned from a trip to Peru. We were really concerned about charging our I-phones and Camera due to the 220 current there in Peru. Headed off on a far-flung adventure? Chances are you’ll need an adapter and converter. While the first allows you to plug your electronics into otherwise incompatible wall sockets, the latter converts voltage to ensure you don’t fry your devices . American electronics generally run on 110 volts while European ones use 220 volts, so it’s essential to have a converter on hand. Foval’s Power Step-Down Voltage Converter is a two-in-one gadget that functions as an adapter and a converter so you can safely charge your smartphone and DSLR and use it to power larger devices like blow dryers and laptop computers. Keep reading for our assessment of the model’s performance, design, price, and competition. 

Design: Compact size, long cord

The Foval converter measures 4.8 x 3.1 x 1.5 inches—making it about the same size as a passport or a point-and-shoot camera . The device, which comes in gray, red, and white, is outfitted with two grounded outlets and four USB ports so you can charge six devices at one. 

We took it along on a recent trip to Ireland and all we had to do was attach the correct adapter, plug it into the socket, and press the power button.

A European type-C adapter—with a 5-foot detachable cord—plugs into the side of the converter, which offers more versatility in where you plug it in. Depending on your location, you can also swap out the plug for a type-A (US), type-I (AUS), or type-G (UK) adapter. The device automatically converts voltage from 220 to 240 volts to 110 to 120 volts, making it compatible with outlets in more than 150 countries.  

The adapter/converter is also programmed to protect your devices by powering down when it overheats or experiences a power surge or short circuiting. 

Performance: Small delay, but works well

The Foval Step-Down Voltage Converter is fairly easy to use. We took it along on a recent trip to Ireland and all we had to do was attach the correct adapter, plug it into the socket, and press the power button. It’ll start making a whirring noise and in a second or two your devices will start charging at a normal pace. We charged plenty of devices with it, including our phones, a portable charger, and our camera.

Other than the slight delay, which is to be expected, everything runs smoothly. The whirring noise is fairly quiet, but if you’re staying at a hostel or with other people, it might annoy light sleepers if left on overnight.

Limitations: It can do a lot, but not everything

While this converter has lots of different ports for charging your devices, that doesn’t mean you should use all of them at the same time. When you charge multiple devices at once, you still need to make sure the total wattage doesn’t exceed 200 watts. Foval also notes that the converter isn’t safe for use with curling irons, hair dryers, or hair straighteners. It is fine with electric toothbrushes, CPAP machines, game consoles, and tablets, though. 

We charged plenty of devices with it, including our phones, a portable charger, and our camera.

Last but certainly not least, you have to make sure that the devices you’re using aren’t rated at 220 to 240 volts. This is a step-down converter, meaning it’s only compatible with devices that are within the 110- to 120-volt range (most American devices). 

Price: Higher but worth it

The Foval Power Step-Down Voltage Converter retails for roughly $35. While it is priced higher than most adapters, you have to consider that it also functions as a converter. If you were to buy the two devices separately, it would actually cost more. 

Competition: Don’t need a converter? Plenty of adapters

HAOZI Universal Travel Adapter: If you don’t need a converter, check out this little adapter. The HAOZI comes in blue, black, or green, and has the same adapters as the Foval Voltage Converter. The difference is that the HAOZI adapter has a more compact, lightweight design. There’s no cord or extra accessories because everything slides in and out of the adapter for easy storage.

Travel Ready AC Power Adapter: The Travel Ready is a tiny little adapter that will fit anywhere in your bag. It’s lightweight, bright purple so you’ll never lose it, and has a built-in surge protector. The catch? It only has the two-pronged European plug (that doesn’t work in Italy, Switzerland, or the UK), and it doesn’t convert voltages. If neither of those are a problem, you can find it retailing for around $20.

PowerBear Travel Adapter and Surge Protection Strip: The PowerBear has all the same features as the Foval Voltage Converter, minus the converter part. It has two grounded outlets, four USB plugs, the same adapter plugs, and an on/off switch. The major difference is that the PowerBear’s cord is built-in, not detachable. 

Definitely worth it.

The Foval’s two-in-one design and ability to charge six devices at once make it a no-brainer purchase. If you were already planning on buying an adapter and a converter, this device will save you space and money.

Before purchasing a travel adapter, you should first decide which devices you will be taking with you and where you want to use them.

• Are these only 2-pole devices or are you going to take more powerful equipment on your journey? The MUV World Adapters  are specifically designed for 2-pole devices, whereas all other adapters in the current SKROSS® range can be used with both 2- and 3-pole devices.
• Will you always be travelling to the same area, or should the adapter cover as many different countries as possible? You can be flexible worldwide with all the adapters and chargers from the  world series . Alternatively, our specific country travel adapters are designed for the appropriate destination location.
• Do you exclusively/additionally want to charge your USB device at the mains plug? All of our World Adapters are also available with USB variations or can be extended. Our product portfolio also offers just  USB chargers .

You can also use our search function to decide quickly and easily which is the ideal product for you.

You will primarily need a travel adapter or travel plug when you travel to countries with a mains socket system that is different to your home country. You can also use our  World Adapters when, for example, you might buy a device at your holiday destination that uses a different mains plug system. If using our World Adapters, you will also be able to connect this device at home without any problem. In addition, it can also be used for any foreigners with different mains plug system devices who may visit you. An extended use of your adapter is also provided by using  USB variations made by SKROSS®. These can be used to connect your USB devices directly to the socket when you're both at home or on holiday. Our  Country Adapters are particularly useful if you are a regular traveller to the same destination, or if you have another home in a different mains plug system country. In this case, you can fit your sockets with Country Adapters and use all of the devices that you bring with you from your home country easily and safely.

In the majority of cases, this is caused by a burnt-out fuse , which you can easily change yourself. However, should the fault not be the result of the fuse, please contact our customer service .

The majority of our adapters offer you the facility for connecting your devices in over 150 countries worldwide without problems. However, there are some countries - such as India, Japan and Brazil - that do not have a country-wide socket standard. In these circumstances, you may still find mains sockets that are not compatible with modern adapters, especially in older buildings.

If, contrary to expectations, a device should fail to work, the most common cause is a burnt out fuse . If the problem should occur with a World Adapter or Country Adapter for Switzerland and the UK, it is simple to change the fuse, and spare fuses are available at electronics retailers and online.

To replace the fuse, take a screwdriver or a coin, place it in the slot found on the bottom of the device and lightly turn it anti-clockwise. Remove the old fuse and place a fuse of the same size into the holder, then fix it back into the device. (Please note: UK features a flip closure that is simple to open with a screwdriver.)
