How do you pay for your Holiday with Travel Republic?

Booking your package holidays with this top travel agent is easy and does allow you to make payments using one of American Express, Mastercard, Maestro or VISA cards. And for the more tech-savvy, there is always the PayPal option.

When booking with this travel agent you can pay through two options, one is obvious and you pay in full. However, this top travel agent does offer a Deposit option for payment.

If you choose to pay a deposit only, the remaining amount payable will be broken down to you at the time of booking, which also includes the payment ‘final due date’. If you fail to pay the outstanding balance by the final due date will result in the travel company notifying your travel provider, resulting in cancellation fees set out to you in your booking agreement.

Can I pay with a cheque or bank transfer?

Unfortunately, Travel Republic does Not accept payment by cheque or bank transfer and as a top online travel agent, these types of payments are long forgotten.

I've used Travel Republic for many many years and can truthfully say that their service has been excellent until now.

I have to contact them to make an amendment to our booking for next weeks holiday but can't get through. I've raised a question on their website and usually get a reply within 48 hours but haven't had a reply despite reminders.Speaking to them by phone is impossible. A recorded message says it's closed and refers you to their website for opening times but the opening times are normal office hours. This is an outright lie. No reply on facebook either.

Has anyone else encountered the same problems?

Thousands probably, with most OTAs. They're a bit busy these days dealing with cancellations, refunds,amendments for cancellations etc etc.

Can't you amend whatever it is online? If not try Twitter. They seem to be reasonably responsive on there.

As a consequence of Corona the workforce has been substantially reduced. It is well possible that this leads lower customer service quality.

But, many people had the same sorts of problems with OTAs long before covid-19 was a thing.

Indeed, Ross, but some have better than others. The average one shave become poor due to covid, and the poor ones have become abysmal.

Have you tried using the dedicated number they provide for problems in resort (Should be on your booking info)? I know they don’t recommend calling it unless you are already on holiday, but you’re desperate so.....!

Failing that, try calling their main number the minute the lines are supposed to open. We had to call them last last year when Thomas Cook collapsed. We got straight through but within a couple of minutes all phone lines were in use and when that happens callers will receive the answer phone message to say the offices are closed.
