The tour allianz one in la défense.

The Tour Allianz One

The Tour Allianz One is easily recognisable on the La Défense skyline with its triangular design standing at 100 metres tall. Currently the headquarters of Allianz France, the Tour Allianz One underwent from 21012 to 2014 a full restoration and energy renovations to respond to the most demanding environmental requirements. It is outfitted with a new façade and photovoltaic panels, reducing its energy consumption by 40%. It is one of the only buildings in La Défense to have four certifications: HQE, BREEAM, LEED and BBC Effinergie Rénovation. The interior design was created by the architect Gabriela Raible and was also designed by the consortium led by the Bouygues Bâtiment Ile-de-France. As a modern and simple building, it offers redesigned work spaces that favour collaborative work, digitalisation and the cooperation of the 1,700 employees currently working in the building.

Taylor swift’s record-breaking tour has one flaw: merch issues.

Taylor Swift performs onstage during "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour"

In the world of pop icon Taylor Swift, everything seems perfect. She’s now a billionaire. She’s got a charismatic boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who’s a star in his own right. Her most recent album, Tortured Poets Department , broke all-time streaming records when it debuted.

Swift’s The Eras concert tour has met with unprecedented success. In the U.S., it contributed over $4 billion to the nation’s GDP. In the U.K., she sold out an unimaginable eight performances at Wembley Stadium, which are predicted to result in over a $1 billion boost to Britain’s GDP. There are even worries that her concerts in the EU could spark regional inflation .

Taylor Swift Merch Issues

Merchandise is another highlight of the Swift universe. Last year, The Eras merch racked up $200 million in sales .

‘the acolyte’ episode 8 recap and review: a dreadful season finale and the cameos can’t save it, amazon prime day 2024: the 110 best deals of day two so far.

But merchandise is one of the few weak points in the otherwise impregnable Swift fortress. Earlier this year, Axios detailed various complaints from Swift fans that included shipping delays, low quality items, slow refunds, and long lines at in-person events.

Stadium Merchandise Sales

Events at stadiums and similar venues present a unique challenge in selling merchandise, particularly when the demand is off the charts as it seems to be at Swift’s concerts.

Events happen of the space of a few hours. Thousands, or tens of thousands, of customers arrive in one place during that time window. The space available for stores is often limited. Staffing can be a problem since the work hours are short and irregular. It’s not just apparel and souvenirs, in concert and sports venues food and beverage sales suffer from similar issues.

Stadiums of every size have queue problems. Here, South Bend Cubs fans wait for food and drinks

From a fan standpoint, long waits are the biggest problem. I recently attended a minor league baseball game in South Bend, Indiana. The crowd seemed to be near the venue’s 5,000 spectator capacity. Although there were a variety of well-staffed food and drink concessions, there was always a lengthy wait at every one. Buying a hot dog and a soda could easily consume an entire inning.

Swifties’ Dilemma

Imagine... You've waited months for this night, spent a small fortune on tickets, and now you're faced with a choice – wait in a seemingly endless queue for that coveted blue crew neck shirt or risk missing Swift’s opening number. It's a dilemma facing fans around the world, from Lisbon to Tokyo.

These lines aren't just a nuisance; they're a real problem. Fans are reporting wait times of hours , sometimes missing parts of the show they paid to see. And for Swift? It means lost sales and frustrated fans.

Even when merch trucks set up in the days preceding a concert, the lines can still be long.

Making Queues Quicker

Enter an unlikely hero: Amazon. No, Jeff Bezos isn't about to duet with Taylor on stage (though I'd pay to see that). I'm talking about Amazon's retail technology, specifically their Just Walk Out (JWO) and RFID systems.

You might have encountered this tech at an airport or sports stadium. Grab what you want, walk out, and get charged automatically. No lines, no fuss. It's like magic, but with more algorithms and fewer wands. Recently, I wrote a more detailed description of Amazon’s retail tech .

Now, imagine applying this to Swift's merch stores. Fans could browse, grab their coveted items, and be into their seats in no time. The potential benefits for both fans and Swift include faster transactions, shorter lines, and likely increased sales. Most important, it’s a better fan experience.

RFID Gates To The Rescue

The technology most likely to cut the queues would be JWO RFID checkout gates. These can be set up and take down quickly, and don’t require complex camera networks and store mapping. A shopper can enter the store without a payment method, encouraging browsing. The shopper can pick up items and, when finished shopping, exit through the gate using a credit card or Amazon One palm recognition. Items the shopper has collected are automatically tallied and charged.

Amazon RFID tech automatically tallies purchases and charges customers as they exit.

Of course, there would be challenges in quickly creating and taking apart merch stores at every performance. Concert venues aren't permanent stores, and the volume of eager Swifties is no joke. But if anyone has the resources and motivation to make it work, it's the team behind the highest-grossing tour in history.

From a fan perspective, this could be a game-changer. More time to enjoy the show, less time stressing about missing out on merch. And who knows? Some fans who might be put off by an enormous line might now decide to buy something. Previously unthinkable repeat visits might be more practical without massive queues.

Not Just For Taylor Swift

The implications go beyond just Swift’s tour. This same technology is already beginning to change how merchandise is sold at concerts and sporting events. High-traffic, time-sensitive retail environments could all benefit from faster throughput.

The Seattle Seahawks Pro Shop Outlet has installed this technology with good results. Geekwire tested it out during a game, noting, “It felt like normal shopping — browse through items, try stuff on, put stuff back, etc. — until the end, when you either plug a credit card in for a few seconds or scan your palm to pay. The best part was not wasting time in line... This advantage was made more apparent as I walked down the concourse and saw a horde of people waiting to check out at the main pro shop store.”

Easier, faster merch checkouts might not generate many tabloid headlines, but it could make millions of Swifties' concert experiences just a little bit more magical. In the words of Jon Jenkins , JWO vice president, “People hate standing in line, so if we can solve that problem – it’s a meaningful problem to solve.” No doubt Taylor Swift fans would agree.

Marvel at a Tour de France legend as Mark Cavendish commits to finish one hell of a ride

author image

Mark Cavendish crosses the finish line after stage 15, accompanied by team-mates

‘F***ing good job, mate.’ The booming congratulations came with the customary slaps to the back from team-mates. Only a fellow Tour de France rider could really appreciate the soul-draining effort of what had just been achieved.

‘Thank you so much guys, you’re legends,’ came the reply, Mark Cavendish’s first words on crossing the finish line, as is his custom, of appreciation for those who helped him get there. ‘Absolute legends.’

But the record-breaking Tour stage winner was not basking in the euphoria of another win. This was not the chest-thumping celebration of a man who had once again beaten the best in the world to remind us why he is the greatest sprinter in Tour history. Rather, Cavendish’s victory on Sunday was one over time itself.

For the man with more stage wins than any other, this time finish line was the one encroaching from behind, rather than in front. A few moments earlier, he had completed stage 15 crumpled over his handlebars, lower jaw hanging heavy, eyes as empty as his legs. Weaving from left to right and flanked by three of his team-mates-turned-bodyguards, the Manxman had been racing for six hours, five minutes and 30 seconds. He had beaten the time cut by just one minute and 47 seconds.

Two minutes later and he would have missed the time limit, and been out, his final Tour de France over. While glory is bestowed on the front of the race, nobility is surely earned at the back.

Some sports offer their heroes the comfort of cheering stadia of tens of thousands of fans to console, but in cycling, pain is suffered alone. Many broadcasts had already moved on to their next scheduled programming, fishing or DIY makeover shows taking the airtime that football would have committed to a career coronation.

Which begs the question why, ten stages and 1,688km (1,049 miles) after making history by winning more stages than any other rider in the 111 editions of this race, he was still riding at all.

Mark Cavendish made Tour history by winning stage five

For as long as I have worked around the professional peloton, which is to say a decade-and-a-half, Cavendish has been asked at every pre-Tour press conference and beyond about his possibility of reaching the elusive stage win number 35. It has been both motivation and manacle.

To finally silence the doubters, to have overcome years of Epstein Barr, a battle with depression, team non-selection and the broken bones, bruises and bashing that come with professional cycling to finally engrave his name solo in the chronicles of this sport was surely enough to leave this race in a blaze of glory and a spray of champagne. He’s done it. There is nothing more to prove, as if there ever really was.

We would all have understood if he’d taken the moment to finally say goodbye to a life of budget Ibis and two-to-a-room hotel stays, to say no more to a daily decor of peeling wallpaper and browning bathroom porcelain, to be done with a sport that requires the shoving of women’s tights wrapped around blocks of ice down the backs of jerseys to prevent overheating, that barely allows for a nature break in six hours of pedalling without having to race just to return to the very back of the bunch. There is no glamour on the roads of the Tour de France. For most, there is very little glory either.

To still be here, fighting for wins and battling time cuts speaks both of Mark Cavendish’s insatiable, awe-inspiring greed and his profound respect for the most beautiful bike race in the world.

Mark Cavendish after coming home 17th in the sprint on stage 16

And for all his incredible victories over the years, it is that respect for the pinnacle of the sport, for the personal and collective sacrifices that it takes to even make it to the start, the months away from home, the thousands of kilometres of training far away from the adoring crowds, the beauty and brutality of this sport combined that keeps Cavendish and every other bike rider in this race for as long as they possibly can.

He knew he had one last opportunity for a sprint on stage 16. One last chance to achieve a boyhood dream all over again. That chance passed him by but, with no more sprints left to fight for, no more need for talk of a 36th stage win given the mountainous days to come, let’s take a few days to savour the career and accomplishments of one of the greatest athletes these isles, this sport, indeed the world of sport as a whole has ever produced.

Let’s marvel at the commitment and discipline of a man who is now riding at the back of the bunch not for further accolades but to reach the finish line, of both this race and ultimately, his career.

As we celebrate one of the most glorious rivalries in the history of the yellow jersey, with Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard trading blows like champion boxers, the latter on the ropes, let’s not forget to cheer the huge achievement of the man who kept believing, who kept trying and who kept proving us all wrong. Arise Sir Mark Cavendish. It’s been one hell of a ride.

Watch the Moment Taylor Swift's Dancer Makes Her Accidentally Break Character at the Eras Tour in Germany

The minor gaff came at the end of her first night in Gelsenkirchen, Germany — where she is set to play two more nights this week

tour alliance one

Taylor Swift doesn't need to fake smiles on the Eras Tour stage!

As the pop superstar, 34, performed her first of three sold-out Eras Tour shows in Gelsenkirchen — a mid-sized city in western Germany just north of Cologne, fans spied a funny moment Swift shared with one of her dancers while on stage.

Typically, when the singer transitions into her performance of "I Can Do It with a Broken Heart," her dancer Kam Saunders typically pretends to hype her up — helping her into a sparkly jacket and even waving to the crowd to cheer.

However, during Wednesday's show while the dancer was waving Swift's arms as a part of the bit, the Grammy winner's indignant face broke into a half smile as she appeared to stifle a laugh, captured in a fan video posted to X (formerly Twitter).

But Swift managed to pull it together — launching into the track off of The Tortured Poets Department right on track.

At the show, she was also visited by her boyfriend Travis Kelce — the 13th Eras Tour show the Kansas City Chiefs tight end has attended. Kelce was spotted in a private suite at the concert, enjoying the show before he's expected stateside for Chiefs training camp, which begins on July 19.

Though this is the first German stop of the Eras Tour, Swift has been no stranger to Germany on past concert tours. While she skipped over the country for the Reputation Stadium Tour in 2018, the singer played two dates in Germany during the 1989 World Tour, one for the Red Tour and another for the Speak Now tour — though never in Gelsenkirchen.

To welcome the “Fortnight” singer to town, local Swiftie Aleshanee Westhoff started a petition for Mayor Karin Welge to rename the city to “Swiftkirchen” during the star’s tour stop. It clearly caught Welge’s attention because, on July 2, the city unveiled a new town entrance sign with the city’s new temporary name, captured in an Instagram post by the city’s official account . (The account even changed its profile picture to match the color of Swift’s eras!)

Swift’s latest stop on her record-breaking Eras Tour comes on the heels of a two-night stint in Milan last weekend. At the second show, Swift sparked chatter among her fans with a onstage technical mishap — as she began a piano mashup of tracks "Getaway Car" and "Out of the Woods," the instrument malfunctioned . ("We have finally broken this thing," Swift joked to the crowd.)

Nonetheless, in an Instagram post after the shows , Swift said performing in the Italian city was “a dream come true” — calling the crowds two of her “favorite crowds ever."

The “Cruel Summer” singer is set to play two more nights in Gelsenkirchen — or Swiftkirchen — on July 18 and 19, before she takes her act to her next German city: Hamburg.

2024 Open Championship one and done picks, sleepers, predictions: PGA Tour betting advice from top golf expert

Mike mcclure locked in his expert one and done golf picks, projected leaderboard, and top sleepers for the british open 2024 at royal troon golf club in scotland.

collin-morikawa-usatsi-cbs-3.jpg

The final major championship of the year gets underway on Thursday when the 2024 Open Championship tees off at Royal Troon Golf Club in Scotland. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will be out to win his second major of the season, and is currently listed as the 4-1 betting favorite in the 2024 Open Championship odds. The 28-year-old has finished in the top-25 in each of his three Open Championship starts. Other top contenders in the 2024 Open Championship field include Rory McIlroy (8-1), Bryson DeChambeau (9-1), Ludvig Aberg (9-1), Collin Morikawa (10-1), Xander Schauffele (13-1) and Tommy Fleetwood (20-1).

The total 2024 Open Championship purse is $17 million, with the winner taking home $3.1 million. With One and Done pools winding down, it is imperative that you nail your British Open picks. Should you back one of the favorites or target a longshot like Hideki Matsuyama or Max Homa? Before locking in your 2024 Open Championship one and done picks,  you need to see what SportsLine DFS pro and PGA expert Mike McClure has to say .

The One and Done format is growing in popularity. It has several noticeable similarities to NFL Survivor pools, with the main difference being entries are not eliminated with a bad week. Players pick one golfer per week and earn points based on their selected golfer's prize money for that tournament. Golfers can only be used once per season, and the point format makes nailing majors, signature events, and big money tournaments critical.

McClure is a DFS legend with over $2 million in career winnings. McClure uses his proprietary simulation model to analyze the field and crush his golf picks. In fact, the model is up nearly $9,000 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.

This same model has also nailed a whopping 13 majors entering the weekend, including the 2024 Masters -- its third Masters in a row -- and this year's PGA Championship and U.S. Open. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.

Now, McClure has his sights on the 2024 Open Championship and just revealed his optimal One and Done picks. They are a must-see for any player looking for an edge in their One and Done pool. You can only see McClure's British Open 2024 one and done picks at SportsLine .

Top 2024 British Open One and Done picks

One of McClure's top OAD picks for the Open Championship is Collin Morikawa. The 27-year-old enters this week ranked fifth on the PGA Tour in total strokes gained (1.372), eighth in strokes gained tee-to-green (1.221), 12th in strokes gained around-the-green (0.386), and 16th in strokes gained off-the-tee (0.495). Morikawa is on a current run of 10-straight top-25 finishes, which has included five top-fives.

At last week's Scottish Open, Morikawa shot under par in all four rounds en route to a T4 finish. The former Cal standout has two career major championships, with one of them coming at the 2021 Open Championship. While he has missed two consecutive British Open cuts, Morikawa's elite ball striking and high level ability around the green make him a great fit for the links style course that will be in play this week.  You can see who else to back at SportsLine .

How to make Open Championship 2024 One and Done picks

McClure is also targeting another golfer for his 2024 Open Championship one and done picks who has a long track record of success against elite competition. This multiple time PGA Tour winner has the ability to win any tournament he enters, and is one of the most talented golfers in this field. You can find out who it is, and check out all of McClure's British Open one and done picks at SportsLine .

Who wins the the British Open 2024, and which golfers should you target for your one and done picks this week at Royal Troon Golf Club? Visit SportsLine now to get Mike McClure's Open Championship 2024 one and done picks, all from the DFS pro who has nailed seven outright winners in 2024 , and find out.

This society is a newly built society in this area. All facilities are available at any time. All great Schools, hospitals, malls are very nearby. There is no any type of pollution like noise pollution etc. No any type of water clogging because water drainage system is so good.

This society is a well maintained and fully furnished society. All members feel safe in the nightime within this locality. so there is nothing bad in this society. Highly recommended.

Best for nuclear family, price is very low as compare to other location in mumbai, The room were small and is good for single person.

Dim road lights, frequent powercut problems makes always uncomfortable for guest visits. Water logging is again a big problem. Roads are not constructed well. Drainage facility is nkt good

Ghansoli is a developed residential hub in Navi Mumbai and its advantage is its prximity to IT hubs in the area. The neighbourhood is good. There is encroachment in the area and a gradual destruction of the natural environment of the wetlands

Girdhar Vaidya

Ghansoli is a good place to stay and basic amenities are available in the area. There is plenty of greenery and open spaces for the residents. Rail and road connectivity are good. The presence of IT hubs in the locality are an added advantage

Taylor Swift swallows bug in Milan, leaves audience feeling like they're 'The 1'

tour alliance one

Taylor Swift left the crowd in Milan, Italy thinking they were "the 1" after her acoustic set.

In a sleek sunrise orange dress, Swift grabbed her guitar and stepped up to the microphone.

"I try to challenge myself to do things I've never done before or songs I haven't played for a long time," she said to the sold-out San Siro Stadium in Italy's fashion capital.

"I've never done this one in the acoustic section before so ..." Swift said strumming "The 1." The track was a part of year one of the Eras Tour and served as the opening number to the "Folklore" era. When Swift scrambled her show in Paris and combined "Folklore" and "Evermore" into one set, "Cardigan" became the opener.

The singer mashed in "Wonderland" from "1989 (Taylor's Version)."

Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.

Italian audience to Taylor: 'You're very beautiful.'

Before she could begin her piano selection, the Italian audience chanted, "Sei bellisima," which translates to "you're very beautiful."

Speechless, Swift cupped her mouth and said: "Wow, no one has ever been this nice to me in my entire life."

"I bet this time of night you're still up," she sang from her flower-painted piano. The opening line of "I Almost Do" from "Red (Taylor's Version)" excited the crowd. The wristbands lit up in bright blue and the moment was beautiful until an insect flew into Swift's mouth , causing her to pause and cough.

"There's so many bugs here tonight," she said.

For the third time on the Eras Tour , a bug has interrupted the Eras Tour. On night three in Wembley Stadium, she asked the London crowd to keep singing "All Too Well" after an insect flew into her mouth. On night three in Chicago, a similar instance happened at Soldier Field.

Swift finished the chorus of "I Almost Do" in Milan before mashing in her tragic heartbreak song, "The Moment I Knew." She has one more performance in Milan.

6 videos of travis kelce enjoying himself at taylor swift's eras tour concert in gelsenkirchen, share this article.

tour alliance one

When Travis Kelce attended the final night of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour shows in Amsterdam with Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes, it was thought that we might’ve seen Kelce’s last trip to any of the remaining shows on the tour. After all, his schedule was about to pick up, and players have already started to report to Chiefs training camp.

Well, the Chiefs tight end had at least one more show left in him.

As Swift took the stage Wednesday for her opening night of the Eras Tour shows in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, Kelce was spotted in a suite at the home of FC Schalke. It appeared that Kelce was by himself and not joined by his typical entourage, but he was in the building and looked to have a great time nonetheless.

Here are some videos that fans captured of Kelce at Veltins-Arena. There wouldn’t be another on-stage cameo this night either.

Partners also see increased sales through TAP’s Preferred Travel Buyers. These sellers of travel located throughout North America, tap into TAP tours to offer the best in global travel products to their clients. Buyers are invited to Partner-led weekly educational webinars on TAP products and industry trends. Travel Buyers are eligible to receive commission if they have sales as a result of featuring embedded TAP tours on their website.
