Encouraging students to think big through a holistic educational mission
Under this project, exposure tours are organized wherein school and college students are given a chance to visit the Adani Group facilities such as Adani Port, Adani Power & Adani Wilmar refinery at Mundra, Hazira, SVPI Airport Ahmedabad, Kawai, Dahanu, Tiroda, Dhamra, Gangavaram, Krishnapatnam and Katupalli , to get an insight into the large-scale business operations and thus get inspired to dream big in life.
The exercise stimulates the young minds to dream big and help them become entrepreneurs, innovators and achievers of tomorrow, and thus play an active role in the process of nation building.
Around 4,00,573 young students have so far visited our facilities across all locations
A total of 6,205 visits have been conducted in ten years (2010-23)

First Year Students visit Mundra Port
Seventy-five students from first year B.Com (Hons.) visited Mundra Port during January 20-21, 2023 which was planned and coordinated by Dr. Sumita Shroff Goyal under the guidance of Prof Udai Paliwal ? Director and Dean, ICNU. Mundra Port (South) is the largest private port of India located on the north shores of the gulf of Kutch, near Mundra Gujarat. It is the second largest port in India in handling container cargo, which includes coal, fertilizers, minerals, and agri-products. It operates two terminals- Adani Mundra Container Terminal (AMCT) and Adani International Container Terminal (AICTPL). Jointly both terminals handle 26 services, connecting India to destinations across the world. We were shown the complete business model with a brief explanation of each unit.
The students were accompanied by four faculty members ? Dr. Avani Shah, Gopika Juneja, Vishal Kothari, and Md. Mansur Alam. The students visited Adani Port, Adani Wilmar Plant, and Adani Power processing plants at Mundra. The students were briefed on handling container cargo, and the authorities shared the business model with the students at the Adani Port.
A joint venture between Adani Group and Singapore based Wilmar International Ltd., Adani-Wilmar is the Asia’s leading agri- business group. The students witnessed the manufacturing process of edible oils, including soybean, cottonseed, and groundnut, based in India and selling under the Fortune, Raag, and Jubilee brands. The company has production infrastructure across the country with a crushing capacity of over 6000 TPD approximately. Multiple oil refineries were allocated for supply of units in large quantity to different class of people. The process of producing, packaging, and labelling were going simultaneously. A video of the successful journey of the company over the years was screened for the visiting students.
At Adani Power Plant, the engineers discussed the power generation process and enlightened the students. The power plant was a multi-storey building with boilers at the basement and controlling unit above. The visit exposed students to the practical operational and manufacturing aspects of the business.

The port of Mundra is located on the north shores of the Gulf of Kutch near Mundra, Kutch district, in the state of Gujarat. It is the largest private port and the largest container port in India. In FY 2020-21, Mundra port handled 144.4 million tons (MT) of cargo. The port is equipped to handle dry cargo, liquid cargo, crude cargo, and containers.
About Visit. The technical visit to Adani Mundra port started at 5 th August at 1:30 am from BVM Engg. College. There were two buses containing total 72 students (Final year Civil) and 4 faculties (Prof. C.B. Mishra , Dr. Deepa Sinha , Prof. Neha Patel , Prof. Nekzad Umrigar). The private buses were boarded up to Ahmedabad.
From south-port we moved to fortune refinery at 5:00 p.m. The chief officer, Mahipalsinh Gohil guided the students about the working at Oil Refinery. It was an amazing experience to visit the oil refinery. The chief officer guided the students about production of oil from raw material. He also showed the process of packing and distributing.

Electronics & Communications Department of Sarvajanik College of Engineering and Technology has organized an industrial visit to the world renowned ADANI MUNDRA PORT for two-days on 6thand 7thMarch 2016.
