Soft Top - 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

I just purchased a 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with a Hard Top. With summer comming I would like to get a soft top. What is the most cost effective soft top on the market? I see the safari tops are pretty cheap but would like the full coverage. Does anyone have one for sale. I am checking ebay and craigs list too. Let me know.  

Know anyone coming to Florida? I have a Khaki (brown) one for sale.  

i don't have one for sale, but i'll trade you my softtop for your hardtop. j/k your best bet is craig's, i wouldn't do e-bay, because i'm not comfortable buying from sellers that i'm not familiar with. there's a 05 lj soft for $250 right now on craigslist san antonio, i'm sure one will come your way.  

I'm in the same boat -- and here in Maine, the craigslist listings are rather thin (as in I haven't seen any LJ soft tops for sale in the 8 months I've been looking). If anyone has an LJ soft top for sale in Maine, New Hampshire, or Massachusetts, please let me know.  

What ever you do buy stock...  

For sure buy a factory soft top for an LJ! New or used, better than anything else out there.  

I found 3 on CL when I was looking less then a year ago. I got mine for 400 and it was in perfect shape.  

Me too I used craigshelper to find one in Corpus. I was headed to Padre for a campin' trip in a few weeks so the guy held it for me. $400 for an unused 2006 Unlimited Top still in the factory wrapper w/surrounds. I picked up a spare set of new OEM tinted windows for a $100 a couple weeks later here in Houston.

Need a new skin for my 06 LJ, already have the hardware. Anyone in New Hampshire?  

I found one in WI shortly after buying my hard top LJ 2 years ago and paid about $400 for a full top with some slight zipper issues. Checking out CL last summer I found someone else dumping a full top minus windows for $200. It was brand new but had a slight tear and broken plastic hinges (I think the previous owner took it out of the Jeep when new without removing the hard top) so I got it as a spare for $150. For as hard as they are to find, I'll just hang on to it.  

I have had good luck posting on forums in the wanted section. I got a new one, unopened shipped to my door from a guy in Phoenix AZ. Anything can happen when you match a motivated seller and buyer.  

Those looking for LJ tops contact Reggie at www.rubitrux.com I met with him a few weeks ago (I have a rubitrux LJ) he has a bunch of tops he is looking to get rid of. I don't know how much he wants for them, but I know he will work with you.

Tinted Glass The windows and rear hatch are tinted 31% to the maximum allowable by law.

Fully Carpeted The inside of our tops are finished in a mildew resistant gray carpet. This not only looks great, but it helps keep the road noise out.

Reduced Road and Wind Noises Our use of “Weather Guard” drastically cuts the interior noise level. You can carry on a conversation without raising your voice. Your sound systems will sound better.

Just swapped my factory hardtop for a 1-piece with sliding windows after doing some research. I can definitely tell the difference in sound quality making for a quieter cab! Bolt holes line up perfectly for my 2005 LJ and it also has adjustable windshield frame latches. I am impressed with it!

Description

2006 Wrangeler LJ in great shape. Engine runs perfectly. Transmission and transfer case work perfectly. No leaks. Includes hard and soft tops. Frame and body in great shape. Has spent most of its life in a garage in Moab, so very little salt exposure and very little rust. Some minor hail dimpling on hood. Minimal mods: 2" BDS spring lift, Currie rock sliders, steering box and oil pan armor. Running on 31" MTR Kevlar tires. Overall a reliable and fun vehicle - we just have too many jeeps.
