I tested Adobe Firefly vs Midjourney with 7 prompts to see which is the better AI image generator

Testing the latest versions of both tools

Adobe Firefly vs Midjourney

1. A Quiet Morning in a Venice Canal

2. cyberpunk street market, 3. ancient library with hidden secrets, 4. desert oasis at sunset, 5. victorian inventor's workshop, 6. frozen waterfall in a magical forest, 7. futuristic city from above at night.

Adobe released the latest version of its “ethical” artificial intelligence image model this week and with it the promise of greater photorealism and improved prompt following. Midjourney has also seen continual improvements since the release of version six at the end of last year.

Midjourney and Adobe Firefly are among the most widely used AI image generators for different reasons, with Adobe finding a home among traditional artists and designers and Midjourney the darling of a new generation of AI artists.

Both models feature in my best AI image generators guide . To see whether Adobe Firefly and its licensed training dataset can match the quality and prompt adherence of Midjourney and its murkier origins I’ve put them head-to-head with 7 prompts.

Why test Adobe and Midjourney?

With Adobe exclusively training its model on the hundreds of millions of images licensed as part of the Adobe Stock library — including some made by Midjourney — I wanted to see if its promise of ethical sourcing plus impressive output could stand up against Midjourney.

Unlike Adobe, Midjourney does not disclose the source of its training data. The startup likely used images scraped from the open web without permission from the creators and as a result is facing lawsuits from artists claiming it stole their work.

In a lawsuit of its own, OpenAI said it is impossible to train a leading AI model without copyright material in the training data. For now the question of training data, provenance and legality are very much up in the air and open to a multitude of court cases and lawmakers.

Designing the test

This is an interesting way to see if that actually holds true. Can the massive library of anything it could find for Midjourney match the limited but structured and licensed dataset for Adobe?

I created nine prompts that push the AI to adhere to a specific request, are generic enough that it has to work out what to do and specific enough to offer a comparison. All settings were left on default with no specifics beyond making it widescreen.

Adobe Firefly vs Midjourney

Lets start with a stunning scene, something peaceful and historic in equal measure. For this prompt I wanted to see something picturesque but not artistic, however I kept the prompt generic enough not to force a photo or a painting.

The prompt: “Show an early morning scene along a Venice canal with light fog. Small boats are docked along ancient, moss-covered buildings, and a solitary figure in a striped shirt is feeding birds.”

These are two very aesthetically different images. One a simple depiction of a beautiful space, the other an intricate work exploring beauty in decay. Both are compelling images but neither have realistic water. Midjourney wins for quality and detail but I don't dislike Firefly.

Adobe Firefly vs Midjourney

Lets jump to an alternative universe where cyberpunk is the dominant style. This should create a game-like scene and that is exactly what we got. Lots of neon.

The Prompt: “Visualize a bustling cyberpunk street market at dusk. Neon signs glow above stalls selling futuristic gadgets. Crowds of diverse characters, some human, some robotic, navigate the narrow, rain-slicked streets.”

I was surprised how similar these two images were to one another. The Midjourney image looks like someone took the Adobe Firefly picture and put it through an upscaler, or that it was given longer to render. While I like the mystery of the Adobe image the quality of the Midjourney picture easily wins out.

Adobe Firefly vs Midjourney

For this one I wanted to capture the essence of knowledge. A sense of information swirling around the space. I didn't want a picture of a shelf of books.

The Prompt: “Imagine a vast, ancient library with towering wooden shelves filled with dusty books. A grand chandelier hangs above. A few beams of sunlight stream through high windows, illuminating hidden messages in the architecture.”

Both images look like a different perspective on the same room. One a photograph taken by a student their phone, the other by a gifted photographer. The Midjourney image is better, not significantly so, but better and captures the prompt well.

Adobe Firefly vs Midjourney

Love Oasis, particularly their earlier material. But for this prompt we're looking to the desert to create a pocket of life in an otherwise desolate space. The idea is that to follow the prompt it needs to capture the concept of abundance amidst isolation.

The Prompt: “Capture a serene desert oasis at sunset. Tall palm trees and lush greenery surround a small, crystal-clear pond. Sand dunes stretch into the distance, glowing orange and pink under the setting sun.”

I didn't like either of these images. Adobe created a cut-scene from GTA-3 and Midjourney made one from GTA-5. Neither truly encapsulated the idea of abundance or isolation but Adobe got closer to the prompt.

Adobe Firefly vs Midjourney

From desolation to imagination. The next prompt is designed to see how well the AI models deal with the concept of order through chaos. I want weird experiments, gadgets and a fun retro vibe.

The Prompt: “Depict a cluttered Victorian inventor's workshop. The room is filled with strange brass machines, gears, and tools. Papers and blueprints are scattered everywhere, and a large, intricate clockwork device dominates the centre.”

Adobe Firefly and Midjourney somewhow both created an image that looked like a photo taken during a museum tour of some old inventors house a century after his death. Midjourney did a better job at captured the full space and whimsy but there is something about the Adobe image that is captivating.

Adobe Firefly vs Midjourney

Do you want to build a snowman? No, neither do I as I'm not a fan of the snow but there is nothing as magical as a frozen waterfall — from a distance. This prompt is designed to see how well it captures the concept of unreality.

The Prompt: “Picture a large, frozen waterfall cascading through a snowy forest. Icicles hang from the branches of frost-covered trees, and magical creatures peep out from behind the trunks, glowing eyes watching curiously.”

The winner here comes down to personal interpretation. If you like something out of a direct-to-video cartoon horror movie from the 90s then Adobe wins. They both look like something out of a horror movie and neither followed the prompt perfectly.

Adobe Firefly vs Midjourney

A future city is almost one of my default prompts to try on any image generator, that and something to do with cats on the moon. Its a good test of prompt adherance as it needs to understand your vision of the future.

The Prompt: “Show an aerial view of a futuristic city at night. Skyscrapers covered in digital screens tower over glowing streets filled with flying cars. Parks and rivers are seamlessly integrated into the city's high-tech design.”

Adobe Firefly completely missed the mark on this one. For a start it isn't at night, the skyscrapers look like Playmobile toys and it took the parks a bit too literally. Meanwhile Midjourney captured the concept of a future city's upward sprawl perfectly.

Which model won?

Midjourney depiction of a city scene in the future

Both did a good job in their own way, both have impressive fine-tuning and customization options — Adobe's are much easier to use than Midjourney — and both can create photorealistic images.

If your goal is to sell the image or use it in a commercial project where rights are a particularly sticky topic then Adobe Firefly is your only choice of the two, but for me the Midjourney images were all significantly better.

Both followed the prompt perfectly but Midjourney created more aesthetically exciting pictures based on the set criteria. There was more detail, depth and realism in every instance.

A key example of this is the future city where Midjourney generated something out of Sim City 2000 compared to Midjourney's year 3000 visual. That said, Adobe Firefly feels much more positive in its approach to image generation.

Midjourney wins.

How-To Geek

These 8 midjourney commands upped my ai image creation game.

Elevate your AI art game with these 8 powerful Midjourney features!

Quick Links

  • The Blend Command: Combine Images Together
  • The Describe Command: From Images to Text
  • The No Parameter: Avoid Certain Elements In Images
  • The Stylize Parameter: Control Midjourney's Stylization
  • The Repeat Parameters: Fast Visual Exploration
  • The Weird Parameter: Make Images Stranger
  • The Video Parameter: Capture the Creation Process
  • The Tile Parameter: Craft Stunning Patterns

Midjourney has a ton of features baked into it that you won’t find if you don’t know where to look. Many of these features can help you create awesome images, while others are not so useful. So, here are eight Midjourney commands and parameters that I find most productive and fun to use.

Midjourney commands refer to typed commands such as "/imagine" or "/settings" that you type into the message bar to trigger the Midjourney bot. Whereas, parameters refer to examples like "--v6" or "--niji," which you use to provide additional instructions along with your prompt.

1 The Blend Command: Combine Images Together

You might already know that Midjourney lets you create AI images using your own images . Now with the blend command, you can upload 2-5 images to Midjourney and combine the concepts and aesthetics of each image into a new original creation.

To use it, enter “/blend” into the Midjourney bot and upload your images. You can either drag and drop the images from your PC or upload them from your mobile photo library. By default, the blend will take two images as input. But you can add up to 5 by tapping the options field in the prompt window and then choosing "image3", "image4", and "image5."

Now, let’s see this in action. I inserted the following 3 images

And got this blended result:

By default, /blend generates square images with a 1:1 aspect ratio. You can customize this by going into Options > Dimension, in the prompt window and specifying the aspect ratio to Portrait, Square, or Landscape. You can also add suffixes and parameters to your blend command just like with /imagine, to further customize the results.

2 The Describe Command: From Images to Text

You can use the describe command to provide Midjourney with an image and get a prompt as input. So, the reverse of what we generally use it for. Simply type in “/describe” and you’ll be asked to either upload the image or provide a link to the image. Provide your image, and Midjourney will present 4 potential prompts for that image.

You can now use these prompts with the /imagine command to see what Midjourney cooks up. Or you can just use this to expand your artistic vocabulary. That said, one of the best use cases of this command is to reverse engineer AI images you see online and on social media and try to recreate them using Midjourney.

3 The No Parameter: Avoid Certain Elements In Images

Sometimes, when using a prompt, certain elements or items might repeatedly pop up in your image. At this point, you can use the no parameter to remove items or objects you don’t want in your composition.

For instance, this is what Midjourney generates with the following prompt:

summer picnic scene

As you can see, Midjourney is creating images with trees in them. But I don’t want trees. So, if I modify the prompt to:

summer picnic scene without trees

This is what I get:

Still, the generated images include trees. But you can stop this from happening by using the “no” parameter and specifying what you want removed. The modified prompt becomes:

summer picnic scene --no tree, branches, leaves, trunks.

And here’s the generated image:

Yes, trees are still present in the composition, but their presence is significantly reduced.

You can remove multiple items using the “no” parameter, such as: --no item1, item2, item3, item4…

4 The Stylize Parameter: Control Midjourney's Stylization

The 'stylize' parameter has a value between 0-1000 with the default value being 100. You can freely increase or decrease it to create more or less stylistic art by adding "--s 10" or "--stylize 900" (or whatever value you want to specify) at the end of the prompt.

If the Stylize Parameter is close to 10, it will create images that closely adhere to the prompt. However, if you go for a high Stylize parameter like 900, you’ll get an image that tries to look good (stylistic, according to Midjourney's training) even if it has to ignore elements of the given prompt.

Let’s take this prompt for example:

a child’s painting of a house with a car and a pool.

Here’s what you get from Midjourney without using the stylize feature:

Now, with stylize set to 10:

a child’s painting of a house with a car and a pool --s 10

This is the generated image:

And with stylize set to 900:

a child’s painting of a house with a car and a pool --s 900

We get this:

5 The Repeat Parameters: Fast Visual Exploration

Midjourney simultaneously generates 4 images from a single prompt to let you pick your favorite and work with it. However, sometimes 4 generations isn’t enough and you need to see more variations. At this time, you can either keep clicking the "reroll" button over and over again, or use the repeat parameter.

To do so, add "--repeat" (or "--r") at the end of your prompt along with the number of times you want it to repeat. For instance, the following prompt will generate 5 sets of 4 image grids:

two friends sitting at the beach, sunset, --r 5

You can also mix the “repeat” parameter with other options like the “stylize” parameter to speed up your explorations.

Basic users can do 2-4 repeats, Standard users can do 2-10, and Pro/Mega users can go wild with 2-40 repeats. Also, the repeat parameter only works with Fast or Turbo GPU models, not Relax, and will eat up a fair amount of GPU hours very quickly.

6 The Weird Parameter: Make Images Stranger

If you’ve used Midjourney long enough, you’ll soon realize it has a distinct style and aesthetic preference. If you want to force it to move away from the default styling, you can use the "weird" parameter. To do so, append your prompt with "--weird" (or "--w") at the end of your prompt along with a number between 0-3000, with 0 being the default value, meaning no weirdness.

To showcase this feature in action, let’s consider, by default, the Midjourney image you get with the prompt:

a steampunk cyborg

This is exactly how you'd expect Midjourney to create images. Now, let’s set weird to 100:

a steampunk cyborg --w 100

This is with weird raised to 1000:

a steampunk cyborg --2 1000

And finally, this is with weird cranked up to 2500

a steampunk cyborg --w 2500

7 The Video Parameter: Capture the Creation Process

As Midjourney processes your base imagine prompt and generates the final image grid, you get to see a slow evolutionary process of how your image goes from a crude blur to an AI masterpiece (most of the time). If you want to capture this creation process and save it as a GIF or short movie, you can do that using the "video" parameter. Just follow these steps:

Add "--video" at the end of your prompt such as:

watercolor scenery of a mountain in the woods --video

After the job finishes, click "Add Reaction" button and select the "Envelope" Emoji.

The Midjourney bot will send you a direct message with the link to the video. You can open it to view in a browser or right-click (or long press if on mobile) to download it.

And here’s what the video looks like:

8 The Tile Parameter: Craft Stunning Patterns

I often use Midjourney to create monotonous pattern-based wallpapers and this is when the 'tile" parameter comes in real handy. Of course, you can also use this feature to create any seamless repeating patterns, or textures, or even for printing on fabrics. To use the feature, simply prompt Midjourney to create a pattern and append it with the --tile parameter. You will get a grid of patterns that you can individually upscale and use them as repeating patterns to create large images.

Example prompt:

a pattern of autumn leaves --tile

And this is the result:

Ensure to mention "pattern" in the prompt or else the generated image will have absurd cuts and breaks in the image.

You can now use the Seamless Texture Checker to see the tile repeat and download it to your system. Whereas, if you want to use it as wallpaper like I do, follow these steps. On your Windows 11 system, go to Settings > Personalize > Background. Pick "Picture" under the option "Personalize Your Background" and select the image under "Choose A Photo field." Then, select “Tile” under "Choose A Fit for your desktop image," and voilà!

With these powerful Midjourney commands at your fingertips, you're well on your way to becoming an AI image wizard. Whether crafting seamless patterns, removing unwanted elements, or adding an extra dose of weirdness, these tools offer endless ways to refine and customize your creations.

Midjourney still reigns as an AI image generator. Here's how to use it

The commands you need to know, how to save and browse your images, and some of the capabilities of the generative ai tool.

Midjourney is pumping out vast amounts of AI art.

There are plenty of apps you can turn to to generate pictures using artificial intelligence. Still, Midjourney remains one of the best and one of the most popular options, having launched in beta form in July 2022.

Related Content

It’s not free to use: The price of admission starts at $10 a month or $96 a year, which gives you 3.3 hours of image generation time per month (images usually take around a minute to render). However, the quality of the end result may well tempt you into a subscription if you need a lot of AI art.

Assuming you’re ready to sign up (for a month at least), here’s how to get started with Midjourney—the commands you need to know, how to save and browse your images, and some of the capabilities of the generative AI tool.

Getting started

Midjourney works through Discord: You can join the Midjourney channel here , and you’ll need to sign up for a (free) Discord account if you don’t already have one. The next steps involve two bits of admin—agreeing to the Midjourney terms of service and signing up for one of the Midjourney subscription tiers. You’ll get a neat little table outlining the differences between each tier.

Midjourney does a decent job of explaining how everything works with all that out of the way. Unless you’re on one of the more expensive plans, you’ll be writing your prompts and getting your images through a channel that’s open to other users, so don’t be shy—it actually works well for getting inspiration from what other people are doing, and seeing what’s possible with the AI engine.

The on-boarding process is straightforward.

To begin with, you’ll need to get involved in one of the #newbie channels, which are clearly linked on the left of the web interface. Click to jump to any one of them and see what’s happening—look at how different art styles are described to get different results, from “abstract expressive” to “hyper-realistic” and everything in between.

The other online location you need to know about is the official Midjourney website . While all of your image generation is done on Discord, this website is where you can find an archive of all the pictures you’ve made and browse through some of the other artwork that’s proving popular on the Midjourney network. From here you’re also able to read about updates to Midjourney.

Writing prompts

Head to a #newbie channel, type “/imagine” followed by a space, and you’re ready to start prompting. If you’ve never used an AI image generator before, describe what you want to see: You can be as creative as possible, putting any kind of person or object in any kind of setting and using any kind of artwork style.

As usual with generative AI tools, the more specific and precise you can be, the better. However, you can be vague if you want to (it’s just less likely you’ll get something close to what you were imagining). See a watercolor of an elephant in a boat, or a photo of an apple on a table, it’s up to you.

Type your prompts into one of the newbie channels.

After a few moments of thinking, you’ll get four generated images based on your prompt—if you want Midjourney to try again, click the re-roll button (the blue-and-white circle of arrows). If you like one of the images more than the others, you can click one of the V1 - V4 buttons to see four variations on it (the images are numbered from left to right and from top to bottom).

Click on any of the U1 - U4 buttons to take a closer look. Here, you get access to some editing features: You’re able to create new variations on all or just part of the image, zoom out on the image (and have AI fill out the canvas), or extend the image in any direction using the four arrow buttons. Click on any image to see it in full-size mode, then right-click to save it somewhere else.

Going further

You can add a variety of parameters to your prompts, and there’s a full list here . They can be used to change an image’s aspect ratio, create images that will tile, or create more varied results, for example. So, if you need a wide rather than square picture, you might append “—aspect 16:9" to the end of your prompt.

Also worth knowing about are the parameters “—cref” and “—sref”, both of which can be followed by a URL pointing at an image. Use the former (character reference) to show Midjourney a character you want to use in your pictures and the latter (style reference) to show Midjourney the style that you’d like your pictures to look like.

The Midjourney website collects all of your images.

There are also a couple of other commands that you can use instead of “/imagine” on Discord. Use “/describe” to get Midjourney to return a text prompt based on an image you supply or “/blend” to have Midjourney combine up to five different images into something new. You can point to images on the web or upload them from your device.

Head to the Midjourney website to find all of your pictures and to download them whenever necessary—eventually, you’ll be able to generate images from here too, but the feature hasn’t been fully launched yet. You can use the filters on the right to sift through the artwork you’ve created, and it’s also possible to download multiple images at the same time or sort them into custom folders if required.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – On Wednesday, May 1, fans gathered at Barnes and Noble in New Springville for an eagerly awaited book signing event with “Jersey Shore” reality TV star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino.

The occasion marked the release of the “Jersey Shore” star’s new book, “Reality Check: Making the Best of The Situation - How I Overcame Addiction, Loss, and Prison,” which delves into his journey to overcome addiction, incarceration, and personal struggles. With DJs from Magic Moments Productions of New Jersey setting the mood with EDM classics, the atmosphere was charged with excitement.

As the line stretched along the walls of the store, fans excitedly awaited Sorrentino’s arrival. Once the TV star finally made his grand entrance, he dashed down the line of fans, ensuring to greet them and show some appreciation.

After reaching the end of the line, he even invited the last two ladies to join him ahead, ensuring they had the chance to meet him before anyone else.

“His strength is so inspiring,” said Cristina Dimaria, of Eltingville, while waiting in line. “The change about him is so drastic, especially in the original show (Jersey Shore 2009), to now (Jersey Shore: Family Vacation), and I remember seeing an interview with Vinny (Guadagnino, his co-star), where he admitted, ‘I never aspired to be like him, and now he’s my biggest inspiration.’”

Fans gathered around, snapping photos and waving, excited to see the reality star grace Staten Island once again.

The event started promptly at 6 p.m., but due to the overwhelming attendance, the staff cut off the line at 7:30 p.m.

Attendees who purchased the book from any Barnes & Noble store or online were able to participate in the signing by simply presenting their receipt to the staff, giving them access to have their book signed and meet him.

Lesa Fishman, of Coney Island, Brooklyn, expressed her dedication, stating: “I’ve been watching the show for 17 years. I made the trip over an hour and came here straight from the beach.”

She highlighted the impact of Sorrentino’s story, sharing, “I read the book on my phone first because I just couldn’t wait,” Fishman said, “I even got copies for teachers I work with and my husband. He is just a true inspiration.”

“He reminds me to never give up,” Fishman added, “to never give up on yourself, and to always strive to be the best you can be.”

In addition to the big turnout, some fans showed their appreciation by bringing Sorrentino heartful gifts. Among these thoughtful offerings was his favorite Pillsbury Funfetti cake mix, brought by Christina and Joe, of New Springville.

Another gift was a ball of fresh mozzarella from Lioni Specialty Foods, given by a dedicated fan, Steve Sciarrone, also known as “Stevie Mozz” of Monroe, N.J. These gestures of admiration and support added an extra touch of warmth and fun camaraderie to the event.

When engaging with attendees to uncover what resonated with them most from Sorrentino’s book, Justin from Oakwood shared his thoughts, stating: “He told so many stories in his book that enlightened me. I think he went through a lot, and it really changed who he was. He calmed down a bit, and especially after prison, yeah, he’s been through some highs and lows and it’s so good to see him come out of it.”

Adding to the lively atmosphere, Chrissy & Biscuit Bliss novelty joined the event, presenting “The Situation” with his very own “Guido on a Ledge” doll, adding a touch of humor to the event.

Fans were clearly excited to have the reality star return to Staten Island. “I love this guy,” said Ava Kalikas, of Great Kills. “I’ve watched “Jersey Shore” since the start.”

Reflecting on Sorrentino’s journey, Kalikas added, “Not to talk so ‘Staten Island,’ but he really is inspirational. I mean, he started out by slamming his head into a wall to becoming a completely different guy – a family man, who’s coming out here and meeting all these people. He used to be the most hated one, and now I literally watch the show for him.”

The “Reality Check” book tour with Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is not over, with more dates lined up throughout May. Fans can catch him on May 10 at 6 p.m. at A Great Notion in Auburn, Massachusetts; May 17 at 7 p.m. at Story Lab in Fairfield, Connecticut, and May 22 at 6 p.m. at Barnes & Noble in East Brunswick, New Jersey, with additional dates to be announced soon.

What is Bing Image Creator?

A picture is worth a thousand words, but what if you could generate thousands of pictures with one sentence? Almost every area of our lives has been affected by artificial intelligence (AI), reshaping how we create and interact with digital content. If content is king, visual content is the emperor, and now everyone can make stunning AI-based visual content.

Recognizing the potential of AI, Microsoft partnered with OpenAI to change the game. This initiative began with the February 2023 release of their AI-enhanced Bing search engine, featuring an integrated chatbot. Building on this momentum, Microsoft launched Bing Image Creator a month later, which was built on an advanced version of OpenAI's DALL∙E 3 model. But what can it do? Let's find out.

The technology behind Bing Image Creator

Bing Image Creator is a free AI platform that lets you make an image by saying what you want. Powered by its advanced machine learning algorithm trained on millions of images, Bing AI art generator works like a charm.

Whether you need sketch paintings, Japanese-style digital art, logos, or hyper-realistic sceneries, the possibilities are endless. However, the system doesn't accept prompts leading to harmful or unsafe images, such as those depicting public figures, violence, or hate speech. It automatically rejects it and alerts you.

The image creator clarifies that the photos it generates are AI-made. Using Image Creator, you see a modified Bing icon in the lower-left corner of every picture. It saves you the trouble of identifying ai-generated images .

Accessing and using Bing Image Creator

While operating on DALL∙E technology, Bing Image Creator simplifies access by not requiring an OpenAI or DALL∙E account. You can use it with a Microsoft account via Bing.com/Create , Bing Chat, or the Microsoft Edge browser.

On your first visit, the site presents a full-page view featuring the Image Creator, four AI-generated sample images, and a prompt box at the top. Enter your prompt, click Join & Create to sign in with your Microsoft account, and begin creating images.

For Edge users, the process is easier. Choose the Copilot icon in the sidebar or go to the Compose tab and start prompting.

Become a pro prompter in Bing Image Creator

Descriptive prompts help you make better images. Get creative and add details. If you're unsure what to input, the Surprise Me button suggests creative prompts. For crafting prompts, Bing Image Creator recommends a formula. Start with an adjective (such as fuzzy), add a noun (like humanoid), include a verb (such as wearing jeans), and end with a style (like Cyberpunk). The site also provides tips and examples for image descriptions.

The easiest way to generate prompts is with Bing Chat, but you have to use Edge for it. Ask it to give you a detailed prompt for your image, then use that in Bing Image Creator. You'll often end up with more complex images this way. You can also customize Bing Chat's prompts to suit your vision. Here are screenshots of prompts we used and the images created.

The final step: Downloading your creation

After entering a prompt, Bing Image Creator displays four images. Click an image to enlarge it. You also have options to save, share, or download. The maximum image size available is 1,024 x 1,024 pixels, with a fixed 1:1 aspect ratio. While these specifications might seem limiting, they are generous for a free service. For more versatility in image generation, explore other platforms like Midjourney and Stable Diffusion, which offer greater control over the process.

What are Boosts in Bing Image Creator?

With Bing Image Creator, you initially receive 25 boosts, or credits, for generating images, where one boost is used per image. The platform is free, so after using 25 boosts, you can still create images, but the generation time increases from 10 to 30 seconds to up to 5 minutes per image. Over time, your boost limit increases to 100, and these boosts are replenished daily, an improvement from the previous weekly refill schedule.

To speed up image generation in Bing Image Creator, you can use 500 Microsoft rewards points for five extra boosts. You get points by shopping on the Microsoft Store, playing games on your Xbox console, using Bing to browse the web , and other activities. These points are earned, not purchasable, so pair your best wireless headphones with your Xbox and start the grind.

Start your AI art journey

Whether you're a professional designer, a content creator, or someone who loves to experiment with digital art, Bing Image Creator offers an accessible way to bring your ideas to life. It's integrated into Bing Chat and Microsoft Edge, so you can get started right away.

Give it a try. Unleash your creativity, experiment with prompts, and explore the endless possibilities that this AI tool offers. The only limit is your imagination. Happy creating!

Pantoja Looking to Clean Out the Division

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - APRIL 29: Alexandre Pantoja of Brazil poses for photo prior to the UFC 301 ... [+] at Sugar Loaf on April 29, 2024 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. (Photo by Buda Mendes/Zuffa LLC)

The champion comes into Saturday's title defense on a five-fight win streak. He hasn't lost a fight in almost four years. During his run with the UFC, Pantoja has faced–and mostly defeated–a who's who in the flyweight division.

Dating back to their time on The Ultimate Fighter Season 24 in 2016, Pantoja has defeated Brandon Moreno three times. He's knocked off Kai Kara France, Wilson Reis, Manel Kape, Brandon Royval (twice), Alex Perez and Matt Schnell. The only flyweights of prominence during Pantoja's era to get the better of him were Deiveson Figueiredo and Askar Askarov. Figueiredo and Askarov scored unanimous decision wins over Pantoja in 2019 and 2020, respectively.

While his time crossed with Demetrious Johnson and Henry Cejudo, Pantoja never fought them.

If Pantoja can emerge victorious against Erceg on Saturday, it will mark his second successful title defense. His first was a hard-fought win over Moreno at UFC 296 in December 2023.

Steve Erceg’s Journey

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - MAY 01: Steve Erceg poses for a portrait during a UFC photo session on May ... [+] 1, 2024 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. (Photo by Mike Roach/Zuffa LLC via Getty Images)

Erceg has experienced one of the fastest rises to a championship opportunity in UFC history. Despite being ranked No. 10 at 125 pounds and having had just three fights in the promotion, Erceg is one win away from being a UFC champion.

The 28-year-old from Australia has beaten David Dvořák and Alessandro Costa unanimously and scored a KO victory over Schnell en route to challenging Pantoja.

If Erceg pulls off the upset, it will be one of the biggest in MMA this year. Pantoja is currently a minus-190 favorite to win.

Jose Aldo’s Last Stand?

Jose Aldo (Photo by Alex Goodlett/Getty Images)

The former UFC featherweight champion has come out of retirement to take this fight. He recently confirmed Saturday’s fight is his last on his current contract with the promotion. He was supposed to fight fellow UFC legend Dominick Cruz on this card, but that fight didn’t materialize.

He also wanted to face a top-5 opponent but was not granted his wish. Instead, he will face rising prospect Martinez. The two men had a spirited faceoff on Wednesday, so we may see some fireworks in the co-main event.

Caio Borralho and Michel Pereira are also Brazilian fighters with potential star power. Their bouts against Paul Craig and Ihor Potieria, respectively, could be fights that vault them into main event spots for an upcoming Fight Night.

Be on the lookout for more fight week info leading up to Saturday’s pay-per-view event.
