Nickelback is a rock band from Alberta, Canada. They’ve released 9 studio albums since 1996. Originally starting out with a more grunge-rock sound, the group developed a more radio-friendly sound in order to increase their popularity.

Some of Nickelback’s biggest songs include How You Remind Me, Photograph, Someday, When We Stand Together, and Gotta Be Somebody.

In 2020, the group has planned to go out on the All The Right Reasons tour in support of the 15 year anniversary of their biggest album. However, those plans were cancelled due to the pandemic and the group went into the studio together instead.

In 2022, Nickelback returned with a new album, which featured the singles San Quentin and Those Days. They also announced new tour dates in support of it.

What Are Official Platinum Tickets?

If you’re seeing expensive tickets (even in nosebleed) in the range of $134 and up, those are official platinum tickets. These tickets are expensive and are offered well over the standard ticket price. The Event Organizer has priced these tickets according to their market value. In other words, the ticket pricing can go up or down, and it usually goes up. 

Official platinum tickets do not include VIP packages. The only positive thing about them is they can be bought ahead of most presales without a presale code, if you’re willing to shed the extra coin.

NICKELBACK Announces Spring/Summer 2023 'Get Rollin'' North American Tour

Acclaimed rock band NICKELBACK has announced the 2023 "Get Rollin'" tour, in support of their most recent 10th studio album, "Get Rollin'" . Produced by Live Nation , the massive run will hit 38 cities this summer, kicking off on Monday, June 12 in Quebec City, Quebec at Videotron Centre, with stops across North America in Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Nashville and more before wrapping up on Wednesday, August 30 in Belmont Park, New York at UBS Arena. Renowned country rocker Brantley Gilbert joins the band on all non-festival dates along with rising country artist Josh Ross .

Tickets go on sale starting Friday, January 27 at 10 a.m. local time at livenation.com. NICKELBACK 's history dates back to 1995 in Hanna, Alberta, where they got their start playing covers in a band called VILLAGE IDIOT , a nod to the small-town nature where they played and grew up. In 1996, Chad , alongside Ryan Peake , made the 10-hour trek west to follow Mike to Vancouver, British Columbia, where the band still resides and continues to make music today.

The band's numerous smash hits, coupled with worldwide sales of over 50 million albums sold, seals their status as one of the top-selling acts of all time and the second best-selling foreign act of the 2000s in the U.S., behind only THE BEATLES . The wildly popular smash hit "How You Remind Me" was named Billboard 's "Top Rock Song Of The Decade", which was a contributing factor in the publication's decision to crown NICKELBACK "Top Rock Group Of The Decade" shortly after.

Beyond their Juno Awards , the group has received nine Grammy Award nominations, three American Music Awards , a World Music Award , a People's Choice Award and seven MuchMusic Video Awards . They were inducted into Canada's Walk Of Fame in 2007.

The band will embark on the new North American trek in support of their 2022 album of the same name , which frontman Chad Kroeger (correct pronunciation here ) introduced by telling critics , “I’m ready for the world to hate us again.”

What Is Nickelback’s Next Tour?

The “Get Rollin’ Tour” will kick into gear on June 12th in Quebec City, followed by dates in Montreal; Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Bloomington, Illinois. The band will dip back into Canada for shows in Winnipeg, Edmonton, Vancouver, and more in June before opening the next month in Ridgefield, Washington. They’ll next hit Salt Lake City on July 6th, Mountain View, California on July 9th, and Phoenix on July 12th. Following a headlining performance at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, the tour routes through Las Vegas, Denver, and Rogers, Arkansas to Texas for stops in Dallas on July 22nd and The Woodlands on July 23rd. The band closes out the month between Tampa, Florida and Alpharetta, Georgia.

Nickelback opens August at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena before embarking to St. Louis, Milwaukee, and St. Paul in the first week. They’ll play Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio on August 9th, followed by nights in Clarkston, Michigan; Darien Center, New York; and Tinley Park, Illinois. After a performance in Noblesville, Indiana, the band settles on the East Coast for dates in Mansfield, Massachusetts on August 22nd, Bangor, Maine on August 24th, and Bristow, Virginia on August 26th. The tour winds down in Hershey, Pennsylvania and officially wraps at UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York on August 30th.

Nickelback 2023 tour ticket updates — Fan club presale began today as rock band announces 16 new dates – see prices

ACCLAIMED rock band Nickelback announced 16 new dates on their upcoming tour, which went on presale today in select locations.

The huge run will now visit 53 cities throughout North America this summer.

Camden, New Jersey ; Virginia Beach, Virginia ; Charlotte, North Carolina ; Tulsa, Oklahoma ; Austin, Texas ; Cincinnati, Ohio ; and Kansas City, Missouri are among the new cities.

Tickets went on sale to the public beginning with an artist presale on today, June 9 at 10am local time for select locations only.

Additional presales will take place throughout the weekend, leading up to the general on-sale on Tuesday, June 13 at 10am local time via Live Nation and Ticketmaster .

Avril's Lyme Disease

After releasing her album Avril Lavigne in 2013, the singer took a step back from making music until she released her latest album Head Above Water in 2018.

On her return to public life on September 7, 2018, Avril Lavigne revealed in a heartbreaking open letter to her fans that she has been battling Lyme disease for the past few years.

The pop-rock star left the spotlight after being  diagnosed with the life-threatening illness  in 2015.

The shocking news put to rest the cruel rumours that  Avril had died in 2003  and was replaced by her "best friend" Melissa Vandella.

The two began working together in March of 2012 to write and record music for the Sk8er Boi singer's upcoming album.

Nickelback expanded their tour "due to incredible demand" as per Blabbermouth.net .

ET Canada described the demand as "overwhelming."

On November 18, 2022, the band released their tenth studio album, Get Rollin,' which inspired the upcoming tour.

Where the name came from

Before he was a full-time musician, the band' s bassist, Mike Kroeger worked at a Starbucks.

The name came to him as he repeated the phrase, "here's your nickel back" when he handed customers their change.

And hence, Nickelback was born in a popular coffee-chain.

Holmdel, New Jersey has you covered

If you were planning on attending the cancelled Long Island show, not to worry.

The majority of the tickets at the August 31 show in Holmdel, New Jersey are still available.

Long Island Cancelled

On the Ticketmaster website, it appears that the August 30 show has been cancelled in Long Island.

However, according to the site, "No action is required to obtain a refund."

"It will be processed to the original method of payment   used at time of purchase, once funds are received from the Event Organizer, which is usually completed within 30 days."

Two thirds open in Knoxville

One third of the seats at the September 27 performance is claimed at the Thompson-Boling arena in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Nearly two thirds of the venue is still open.

Nickelback tour 2024: Dates and how to get tickets

Nickelback have announced a major European tour for 2024.

The Canadian rockers will take the stage in cities across the UK and Europe in the Get Rollin’ arena tour, following on from their successful North American leg. The band will hit 12 cities across eight countries in May and June.

Announcing the news they said: “We can’t wait to get back to Europe and see everyone. It’s been far too long, and these will be incredibly special shows for us.”

What can we expect in the tour?

We can expect some classic old hits from Nickleback, crowd favourites likes How You Remind Me and Rockstar, but fans can expect some numbers from their latest album.

Get Rollin' – which the tour is named after – is the band's 10th studio album and was released in November 2022. The album's lead single San Quentin was released on September 7, 2022 and received a good response from fans.

Hits such as Just One More, Those Days and Vegas Bomb are likely to feature.

Who are the support acts?

The band have gone British for these legs of their tour. Supporting them on the UK and European shows will be the band Lottery Winners . Hailing from Leigh in Greater Manchester, Lottery Winners topped the UK album charts with their fifth studio album Anxiety Replacement Therapy.

How can I get tickets?

Artist presale tickets go on sale on Thursday November 28 at 10am, and are only available with a code from Nickleback. It is believed these go to fan group members.

From Wednesday November 29 customers with O2 will get O2 Priority access to tickets.

General sale will be released on sale on Friday December 1. There is a maximum of eight tickets available for sale per person. Full information is available on Ticketmaster here.
