App was nice most of the time when it worked. Sometimes it would tell me I was someplace other than where I was. Other times the cameras wouldn’t show up or work. Now it won’t open beyond the green OHGO screen. Very disappointing. I do not recommend this app
Good access to the cameras on the highways
OMG, there are so many traffic cameras! You can select what cameras might be pertinent to you and your route and check the traffic conditions. Pretty good. I am at home doing this with excellent WiFi and suspect that these data may not work as well on my cellular connection. The app works great, zoom, pan, etc.
Bring back original
Please bring back the option of viewing cameras the easy way (both on the app and website)! We were able to click on the region then click on the highway we needed and then click the closest camera/ camera for the area that we needed on that highway. Now I have to zoom in and out of the map to find the area that I want. The older way was much easier and less time consuming.

Memorial Day 2024: Weather forecast, when and why the holiday started
Excited about that day off from work at the end of May?
In America, Memorial Day always lands on the last Monday in May, and this year it will fall on May 27.
It isn’t just a day to have a cookout with family — it's a day that honors all military veterans, living and dead.
Here’s what to know about the federal holiday, which wasn't always called Memorial Day.
What’s the weather forecast for Memorial Day?
According to Old Farmer’s Almanac , May overall will be warm for the Midwest, across the Great Lakes and the Eastern Ohio Valley. But with warmth comes thunderstorms, and May is expected to have some rainfall.
For Memorial Day, Ohio’s skies are expected to be filled with sunshine, so you might not need to worry about umbrellas. For now.
When did Memorial Day start?
Memorial Day began as Decoration Day in 1868 as a way to honor the fallen soldiers of the Civil War.
It occurred every year on May 30 until 1968, when Congress signed a law moving the holiday to the last Monday of May, according to the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs .
Why did Memorial Day start?
According to Farmer’s Almanac , the day was originally set to remember Union soldiers who died during the Civil War. After World War I, its scope expanded to include those who died in any war or military action. After the Civil War, many US cities held memorial observations for their hometown heroes.
Memorial Day was then celebrated on May 30 every year up to 1967.
Congress passed the Uniform Holidays Bill in 1968, which moved Columbus Day, Presidents’ Day, Veterans Day, and Memorial Day to their own designated Mondays, which led to Memorial Day being on the last Monday of May every year since.
Are there Memorial Day traditions?
Memorial Day traditions include religious services, parades, and speeches across the United States, according to Britannica . Families and friends will also place flags, military badges, and flowers on the graves of veterans in local cemeteries.
Severe weather that prompted tornado warnings for some central Ohio counties exits area
Severe storms with heavy rain and high winds raced through central Ohio late Wednesday afternoon and evening, but there were no initial reports of injuries or major damage.
The National Weather Service had issued tornado warnings for some central Ohio counties as the storm system moved through, reporting radar-indicated rotation wrapped amid the fast-moving storms. Hail fell in some areas as a result of the storm.
A tornado watch issued for central Ohio expired at 7 p.m. as the severe weather moved on into east central and northeastern Ohio counties.
Suspected tornado damage reported elsewhere
There were reports of at least one or two suspected tornadoes with damage in Portage County in northeastern Ohio and a suspected tornado in Bucyrus in north central Ohio.
Videos and photos posted to X (formerly Twitter) showed what appeared to be a tornado on the ground and severe damage to a home, barn and another outbuilding in Windham, a village in eastern Portage County. Additional damage was reported from a tornado in Garrettsville in the northeastern part of the county.
In north central Ohio about 65 miles north of Columbus, The Bucyrus Telegraph Forum, a Gannett Ohio sister newspaper to The Dispatch, reported high winds from the storms there had caused serious, significant damage in downtown Bucyrus and knocked out power to a large area there .
The NWS will send out survey teams beginning Thursday to areas where suspected tornadoes were reported to confirm them and rate their intensity on the Enhanced Fujita scale.
Central Ohio appeared to escape any major damage.
Fairfield County Sheriff's Office reported multiple trees or large branches down from the storm, with some blocking side roads but no major arteries.
The Licking County Regional Communications Center reported that strong winds had brought wires down in Fallsbury Township and brought trees down on utility lines in Granville Township.
Delaware County Sheriff's Office said it had no reports of severe damage as of 6:30 p.m. However, Tyler Beckman, a central Ohio storm chaser, posted photos on X (formerly Twitter) showing wind damage to homes and a tree near the intersection of Route 605 and Fancher Road in Harlem Township in the county.
Pickaway County Sheriff's Office reported a downed tree that temporarily blocked one lane of Route 752 in Walnut Township, but it was removed and there were no other storm damage reports.
Franklin County, Union County and Madison County sheriff's offices told The Dispatch they received no storm damage reports.
The heavy rain did cause flooding again on the Route 161 westbound exit underpass to Interstate 270 southbound on Columbus' Northeast Side, forcing closure of the exit ramp for a time.
AEP warned its customers prior to Wednesday's storms that the severe weather may cause power outages and urged customers to be prepared. At one point, the AEP outage map showed more than 8,000 customers without power. As of 6:15 p.m., however, AEP's outage map showed small scattered outages with the largest two areas in Columbus involving nearly 1,500 customers.
Ohio already ahead of average yearly tornado total before storms
Prior to Wednesday, the National Weather Service had reported a total of 28 tornadoes so far this year in Ohio, which is a half-dozen above the yearly average of 22 tornadoes. Nine tornadoes each were recorded on Feb. 28, March 14 and April 2 and one on March 5.
One of the March 14 tornadoes hit the Indian Lake area, killing three people in Lakeview, injuring others and causing devastating damage.
What's the forecast ahead?
After a positively balmy work week, areas of patchy frost will be possible Saturday and Sunday night in Columbus and around central Ohio. Here's the forecast for the rest of the week.

Jowon Briggs, DT, Cincinnati: NFL Draft 2024 scouting report for Browns’ seventh-round pick
- Updated: Apr. 27, 2024, 6:54 p.m. |
- Published: Apr. 27, 2024, 6:54 p.m.
- Irie Harris, cleveland.com
CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Browns added to the defensive line with the 243rd overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft on Saturday and took Jowon Briggs out of Cincinnati.
Here’s a scouting report on Harden:
Height, weight: 6-foot-1, 313 pounds
Stats: Through 12 games, Briggs recorded 27 tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks.
Pro Football Focus grades: Briggs had a 65.8 overall defensive grade in 2023, with a 69.6 tackle grade.

What draft analysts say about Briggs:
Dane Brugler, The Athletic : “A member of Bruce Feldman’s ‘Freaks List,’ Briggs is compactly built with very dense muscle and terrific strength. With his initial step and active, heavy hands, he should appeal to multiple schemes, although can lose his gap control/leverage. Overall, Briggs lacks ideal length, and his rush talent is a work in progress, but his mix of one-gap quickness and power could earn him a depth spot.”
Lance Zierlein , NFL.com : “Squatty interior defender with short arms and a lack of ideal scheme fit. He won’t disrupt as a gap shooter and isn’t long enough to control blockers as a two-gapper. Briggs isn’t sudden off the snap but does play with good lateral quickness to hunt and tackle runners down the line. He does a decent job of utilizing hand fighting to knock a blocker’s hands off him, but he’s more likely to stay engaged early on than find quick wins. Briggs is active and plays with good hustle but might not have the traits or one-positional advantage to stand out.”

I always loved the image of that. So when I saw there were swan boats at the Miami Whitewater Forest late today I had to try it out. (It was really a dragon and I cajoled my almost 16-year-old son into helping pedal.)
It lived up to the hype I built in my head, and it’s by far the most popular attraction here today ahead of the eclipse. Well, a close second to the playground at least."
