Halestorm + I Prevail Announce 2024 North American Summer Tour

Halestorm  and I Prevail  have announced a 2024 North American co-headlining summer tour with Hollywood Undead and Fit for a King as support.

Halestorm shared a teaser clip on their Instagram a few days ago that showed their logo spin over a black background, then switch to I Prevail's logo and then back to their own again. It was a subtle teaser, but anyone familiar with I Prevail's logo may have recognized the horizontal symbol that connects the V and the A in their band name.

The trek will kick off July 9 in Raleigh, N.C. and wrap up Aug. 17 in Las Vegas. The general ticket sale beings this Friday, March 8 at 10AM local time. You can  get tickets through Halestorm's website or I Prevail's page .

See the teaser below and the tour dates underneath.

"Freaks, we are so proud to announce that we are joining forces with I Prevail," Lzzy Hale enthused. "This isn’t your typical summer tour. This is two worlds colliding under one haven for our collective armies. And bringing you a show unlike any we've done before! We have a lot of surprises in store, so get your tickets now for an experience none of us will forget!"

"Touring with Halestorm is long overdue, as we admire their talent, energy, and dedication to rock music, and are thrilled to finally see it happen. ABOUT HALESTORM:

Having amassed over 2.5 Billion streams globally, the Grammy-Award winning band Halestorm has grown from a childhood dream of siblings Lzzy and Arejay Hale into one of the most celebrated rock bands of the last two decades.  Most recently, the band released Back From The Dead , their fifth full-length studio album which has tallied over 100 Million streams worldwide.   Rolling Stone called the title track “a biting but cathartic howler about overcoming all obstacles,” and that song as well as “The Steeple” marked their fifth and sixth number ones at rock radio, respectively.   Associated Press said the album “will definitely be in the running for best hard rock/metal album of the year.” Their previous album, Vicious, earned the band their second Grammy nomination, for Best Hard Rock Performance for the song “Uncomfortable,” the band’s fourth #1 at rock radio, and led Loudwire to name Halestorm “Rock Artist of the Decade” in 2019.  Fronted by the incomparable Lzzy Hale with drummer Arejay Hale, guitarist Joe Hottinger, and bass player Josh Smith, Halestorm’s music has earned multiple Platinum and Gold Certifications from the RIAA, and the band has earned a reputation as a powerful live music force, headlining sold-out shows and topping festival bills around the world, and sharing the stage with icons including Heaven & Hell, Alice Cooper, Joan Jett, and Judas Priest. Additionally, Lzzy was named the first female brand ambassador for Gibson and served as host of AXS TV’s “A Year in Music.”

ABOUT I PREVAIL:

I Prevail have established themselves as the forerunners of the genre in the 21st century. Their latest release TRUE POWER, once again produced by Tyler Smyth, features the sort of stadium-sized riffs that will rattle your teeth loose from your gums and unforgettable, supremely catchy melodies that will camp out in your brain for weeks at a time. The band also alternately mixes screamed vocals that sound as though they crawled from the depths of hell with soaring, emotional vocals and heartfelt, intimate lyrics that go so deep, they hit marrow. The end result is an album that resonates with the listener in the most personal way. Rising to an arena level and receiving two Grammy nominations — Best Rock Album for Trauma and Best Metal Performance for crushing lead single “Bow Down” — I Prevail proved that they were built to last. To date, they’ve racked up more than 4.1 billion global streams, are approaching 716 million YouTube views, and saw both “Hurricane” and “Bad Things” singles top Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart in 2020 and 2022 respectively. A number of their singles and album Lifelines have now been certified Gold and Platinum, and they have been praised by press far and wide, including Forbes, Billboard, The Hollywood Reporter, and NPR. I Prevail have affirmed their position among the genre’s elite.

ABOUT HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD:

Formed in 2005, Hollywood Undead inched towards mainstream dominance under the radar with unprecedented success for a modern band. Preceding the current playlist-hopping genre-less boom, they defied stylistic boundaries from day one integrating rap, rock, and electronic. The band will be heading back out on the road in the Fall of 2023 with hip hop legend Tech N9ne co-head lining the HOLLYWOOD & N9NE Tour in support of their 8th studio album, Hotel Kalifornia.

ABOUT FIT FOR A KING:

Fit For A King’s musical style is rooted in metal and hardcore and uplifted by hypnotic hooks. Following the breakout LP Creation/Destruction [2013], they earned four consecutive Top 5 debuts on the Top Hard Rock Albums Chart with Slave to Nothing [2014], Deathgrip [2016], Dark Skies [2018], and The Path [2020]. The latter marked their first Top 10 on the Billboard Top Album Sales Chart. Plus, the band collaborated with fellow heavy-hitters such as August Burns Red and We Came As Romans. They’ve generated nearly 435 million streams over the course of their career, have toured with Pierce the Veil, I Prevail, The Devil Wears Prada, Motionless in White, and many more. Their latest The Hell We Create is out now via Solid State Records.

Halestorm (formed in 1998) is an American hard rock band, hailing from Red Lion, Pennsylvania, U.S., known for their non-stop touring and big-voiced lead vocalist Lzzy Hale.

From the tender ages of 10 and 13, siblings Arejay and Elizabeth “Lzzy” Hale, respectively, have been writing songs and composing music. The duo performed their first gig in 1998 at the Blue Mountain Coffee House, in Hershey, PA, inviting their father, Roger, to play bass to fill-out the sound. Drummer Arejay and singer and keyboardist Lzzy then invited a number of guitar players to record their debut album “(Don’t Mess with The) Time Man” in 2000.

Following a tumultuous period of line-up changes the band later cemented with members Lzzy, Arejay, Josh Smith on bass, and Joe Hottinger on guitar. In 2005 Halestorm signed with major-label Atlantic Records and released the live EP “One and Done” the following year. The band’s self-titled debut arrived in 2009 led by the single “I Get Off”, which earned Halestorm significant radio airplay as did the second single “It’s Not You”. In 2010 the CD/DVD “Live in Philly 2010” was released along with the year after an EP of cover entitled “ReAnimate”, featuring covers of Guns N’ Roses and Lady Gaga.

By this time, the band had accrued a devoted following; enamoured by the group’s relentless touring, which often surpassing 250 shows a year. Testing the water for the group’s sophomore album, Halestorm released the EP “Hello, It’s Mz. Hyde” in January 2012 featuring four songs to be on the new album. Their second full-length “The Strange Case Of…” produced by Howard Benson, was released in April 2012, and earned positive critical and commercial responses. The album’s lead single “Love Bites… (So Do I)” later won a Grammy for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance – the first female-fronted band to do so – and subsequently the single "Freak Like Me" topped the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks Chart.

Live reviews

Nowadays there aren’t many female fronted heavy rock bands that possess such power and pizzazz commanding the full attention of the room- thank goodness for Pennsylvanian quartet Halestorm. There is almost some kind of stigma attached to the term ‘female-fronted’ when it comes to rock music, a genre so dominated by the male species. The difference with Halestorm is that gender is irrelevant, but what is important is the fact that they have the ability make incredible rock music.

The beginnings of Halestorm came as a part of siblings Lzzy (vocals) and Arejay Hale’s (Drums) upbringing, musically in tune with each other they began to form the band with their dad filling in on bass duties at the start. The line-up was soon solidified through the addition of Joe Hottinger and Josh Smith on bass and rhythm guitar. Through relentless touring with bands like: Papa Roach, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold and Evanescence- the band fine-tuned their performances whilst creating a name for themselves and winning over hoards of fans.

There’s no denying the incredible capabilities of Lzzy’s vocals- gravelly, raw and pitch perfect. She is a pure delight to watch, often dressed in leather attire and guitar in tow she effortlessly belts out songs like “Love Bites (So Do I)”, “Daughters of Darkness” and “Mz Hyde”. The audience are enthralled by the electric energy that the band possess as Arejay enthusiastically and passionately drums away, interchanging his drumsticks several times during the set. Throwing in a few covers including Judas Priest’s “Dissident Aggressor” and ending with “I Get Off”, they can do no wrong. With effortless, energetic and phenomenal performances time after time, Halestorm will blow your mind.

In this Moment was amazing as always but as an avid Halestorm fan (who paid $150 for a table, $150+ in March, $29 for entry ticket) I am massively disappointed in the Halestorm show.

First off, I live in Dallas and drove to Houston for this show. She said "what's up Dallas?!?!". Seriously? How do you screw up where you are at. Then trying to make up for mistake made it even worse. She could have just said it was a joke and moved on, but no, lets buy the audience back by filling their ears with BS for five more minutes.

5 of the songs were covers of songs they did not write/create. One of which was a partial of an Adele song...which if you're even going to attempt an Adele song, you'd better slam that ball out of the park. The ball never left the stage. Meaning she struck out and it was the most horrible thing I've ever seen her do. What's wrong with singing your own songs?? Oh. Wait. Its because they don't have any new ones to sing.

Also.mmgiving your brother/drummer a 20 minute solo to eat up your set time was disappointing. He is great and talented, but really?? Halestorm is losing it, and fast. The place was clearing out way before the set was over and she needs to take some advice from Maria Brink and go back to her roots, figure out where she came from and then sing and write her own damm songs. I will be showing my videos of all the horrible moments of the show and can guarantee their fan base in dallas decreases. I spent $500 that night for nothing. In this moment should have been the headliner and then I would not Care about what money I spent on the worst show I've seen in years and I travel all year long across the country for suowsband festivals

So here's the thing about this show, I had tickets to their previous Vancouver date which got cancelled, and had had VIP tickets which I was very sour about them not being honored at this date. Needless to say I was already a little jilted as a fan, but when I got into the commodore my heart was further broken by the absolutely abysmal merch counter. Only XL hoodies in one style and a tshirt that was not even from this tour. Merch is the sweetest part of the pie and I was bitterly sad towards my options.

Things started to pick up as people were too busy buying drinks at the venue to line up in front of the stage so we walked right into second row.

When the lights went down and the music started, I have to say that despite my prior sadness, Halestorm puts on one hellova show. The crowd was great the songs were amazing, Lzzy was amazing and I was close enough to see the sweat poor off the band. Not only that but my wish for a souvenir was granted as Lzzy chucked my a guitar pick that I caught mid-air. It was one of the best and purest rock concerts I have been to in a long long time. You have my forgiveness Halestorm and I hope you don't forget you Canadian fans next time.

Halestorm offered a good show to Paris. Their performance on stage was full of energy.

Lzzy's voice was powerful as usual and she seemed pleased to be on stage in Paris.

The concert hall was full and the athmosphere was excellent and lively. People were dancing, singing and shouting their hapiness to see this excellent band.

The only soft critic that we could do to halestorm is members remain static on stage. They played bass and guitar and sing but they do not dance together or played closely.

We do not have the impression that there is a strong connexion between members.

A few days before halestorm's concert in Paris, I also admired Xandria's perfect performance on stage in Paris.

This band gives the impression of having a very strong connexion between their members and they danced and communicated to the public a strong very good mood.

Halestorm should be inspired by this way of performing on stage.

Nevertheless, I really hope that halestorm will come back soon in Paris for a new great concert.

First off: we've had our tickets booked since april to go see Halestorm october 3rd. Need I say the misses and myself were excited to attend?

Expectations were high, but fullfilled for the most part. Yes, Lzzy had a cold. Yes, at times she struggled, especially to hit some of the high notes / screamy parts. Did it bother me? Not all that much! (in part because she was a real trooper and gave it whatever she had).

With the band playing like they did, perhaps with a bit of extra guitar works left and right to avoid entirely losing her voice(?),it was still a very enjoyable experience, makes me wonder how great it'd be with Lzzy at full capabilities.

Personal note: I prefer the older songs in the repertoire. Obviously the new album had to be represented, but maybe it stills needs to 'grow' a bit on me... All things considered, a fairly balanced setlist. The version of 'I get off' in particular stood out as 'unexpected'.

First time seeing Halestorm, In This Moment, New Years Day, and Stitched Up Heart. All sounded close or at record quality. ITM's Maria Brink did a duet with NYD's Ash Costello which was pretty cool. Would have been nice if Motionless In White was there so NYD could have done Angel Eyes and ITM could have done Black Wedding and MIW could have done Contemptress, though that would have broken the female fronted flow. Concert was definitely worth the money; doors opened at 5:30 and it concluded around 10:30. ITM and Halestorm had good light effects and interesting theatrics (ITM's interpretive dancer and balloons, Halestorm's dual drum solo and piano solo, etc.) All the performers new how to pump up a crowd. Would recommend.

TLDR Great show! You will get your money's worth and more.

Well yesterday was one of the worst concert experiences based on staff and venue. We drove 70 minutes to get here, and waited in line for 45 to get in. 10 minutes before doors open, we find out Halestorm isn't there because Lzzy was sick. Everyone panicked. The venue stayed open and Greta Van Fleet and New Years Day played. No one from the venue addressed concerns about ticket refunds. As we were leaving we found out there would be a reschedule with date TBD and original tickets still valid. The acoustics at this venue are horrible, so if you don't know the song, you can't understand the lyrics. I hope Lzzy has a speedy recovery, because after we get the reschedule, we're never getting tickets to the Main Street Armory again.

This show was rescheduled from last October, so I wasn't stoked for another 75 minute drive each way to the venue, however was super excited to see Halestorm, my favorite band, who hadn't been in my area since 2015. The Dead Deads opened last time I saw them, and I was not a fan previously, but they really grew as a band, and I really enjoyed their set this time. Halestorm played next and opened with a new song, then I had the time of my life. Pretty sure I sprained my neck headbanging to Mayhem. They played my favorite song I Am The Fire, and my friend who went with me, his favorite song Unapologetic was also played. They were so phenomenal and we left shortly after their set ended as we don't like Stone Sour.

This was the first concert my daughter had gone to, she loves the band and the energy of the songs, so thought it only apt to see Halestorm whilst they were performing in Birmingham.

The concert was excellent, everything she wanted it to be and more.

From my perspetive, the venue is great - i've seen a number of bands there. The performance was first class and the solo bits were phenomenal. The song choice was bang on, giving us a sneak into 3 songs from the upcoming album. GUess what i did when I got in, yep ordered it.

Thank you to Halestorm and their crew and the supporting artists for a great night, and please come back to Birmingham soon

fillet_gillet’s profile image

It was awesome. The two acts before it did a great job of hyping me up for the main act and damn was the main act good. The bass solo and drum solo were awesome(and funny) and the light show during Halestorm was amazing.

i had a great night but because of the decor of the second act In this moment had quite a big decor and because of this AFAS was severely limited with its lighting for the first act New Years Day. Me and my friend were kind of worried the lighting was going to suck for all of the shows bu we were blown away by the main act

it was just a pity the side acts didn't get as much love as the main act

A melodic, wistful power ballad, “Bet U Wish U Had Me Back” is a deeper cut from Halestorm’s debut LP and their catalog at large. It showed that from the jump, this band was something special even outside of their singles.

19. “It’s Not You” – ‘Halestorm’ (2009)

“You've probably never been shut down before/I'll try and make it easier.” “It’s Not You” is what most people only dream of saying to an ex once they move on and find someone else that is infinitely better.

18. “Black Vultures” – ‘Vicious’ (2018)

Serving as the opening track of Halestorm’s fourth studio album, “Black Vultures” comes out the gate showcasing Lzzy Hale’s roaring vocals. Halestorm has a number of empowering songs in their catalog, but this track is one of their most aggressive.

17. “Daughters of Darkness” – ‘The Strange Case Of…’ (2012)

This one…is for the ladies! While the rock world often feels like a sausage party, there are a lot more women on stage and in the crowd than ever. The sisterhood shared is the backbone of the entire genre, and this track serves as a rallying cry.

16. “Break In” – ‘The Strange Case Of…’ (2012)

“Yeah, it’s perfectly reckless/Damn, you leave me defenseless/So break in.” Few can deliver a piano ballad quite like Lzzy Hale that walks the line of vulnerability and bad ass-ery, but that’s just another reason why she’s one of the best lead singers in the game today.

15. “The Steeple” – ‘Back from the Dead’ (2022)

Off Halestorm’s latest album ‘Back from the Dead,’ Lzzy Hale said of the track, “'The Steeple' is a true reflection of what music means to me. During our time in purgatory, faced with an unknown future, I had to rediscover why I still loved music, why there was a hole without live shows that could not be filled with anything else. Through writing this song, I found myself again and was reminded of what is really important. This music is our life source, our survival tool, our communion, our sanctuary and our identity. I invite you to scream that anthem with me and get transported back to the first time you were struck by the power of music. Redemption's here at last, back where it all began, in the place where god and the devil shake hands.”

14. “Here’s to Us (Guest Version)” – ‘The Strange Case Of…(Deluxe Edition)’ (2013)

What’s better than a celebratory Halestorm jam? A celebratory Halestorm jam with a buttload of all-star guests! When a deluxe version of ‘The Strange Case Of…’ was released in 2013, this version of “Here’s to Us” was included, and it did not skimp on the guests. Among those providing vocals on the track were Wolfgang Van Halen, Brent Smith, Myles Kennedy, James Michael, Tyler Connolly, David Draiman and Maria Brink. Oh, and if that wasn’t enough star power, Slash knocks out a solo, too.

13. “Dear Daughter” – ‘Into the Wild Life’ (2015)

“Dear Daughter” has a very personal and poignant origin story. Lzzy Hale said the song was inspired by all of the encouragement she heard from her parents growing up trying to pursue her rock and roll dreams. She wrote on her Tumblr about the track, “I think that the words I grew up hearing are something every young girl deserves to hear. They were always simple, yet profound. Hold your head up high, and be you. Always remember that you are like no other. This world is indeed full of pain and fear but there’s also hope and love; it’s how you choose to tip the scale that matters. And no matter what happens, I will be there, and I will always support you.”

12. “Mz. Hyde” – ‘The Strange Case Of…’ (2012)

“Mz. Hyde” is a title track of sorts. The song is inspired by the classic novel ‘Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,’ but it is more welcoming of Lzzy Hale’s “evil side.” It’s camp with a slice of danger, which, frankly, rock and roll could use a bit more of always.

11. “Love Bites (So Do I)” – ‘The Strange Case Of…’ (2012)

The lead single off their sophomore LP ‘The Strange Case Of…’, the track marked huge growth for the band coming off their self-titled debut album. Joe Hottinger’s chugging opening guitar riff and Arejay Hale’s intense, feverish drumming take the song to another level. As if that all weren’t enough, thanks to “Love Bites (So Do I),” they’re now referred to as “Grammy Award-winning rock band Halestorm.” What artist wouldn’t love a title like that?

10. “I Am the Fire” – ‘Into the Wild Life’ (2015)

Repeat: Few bands can deliver an empowering anthem like Halestorm, and “I Am the Fire” is one of their strongest. If you haven’t listened to the track in a bit, revisit it now and pay close attention to the acrobatic vocals Lzzy Hale belts out. Just unreal! Plus, the song has one of the most simplistic, beautiful lyrics in Halestorm’s entire catalog: “I am the one I’ve been waiting for.”

9. “I Get Off” – ‘Halestorm’ (2009)

AKA: “Voyeurism, but make it a catchy rock song!” While this marked Halestorm’s debut single, “I Get Off” both holds up *and* shows how far the band has come in the years since arriving in 2009. Truth be told, “I Get Off” doesn’t get enough credit for how strong of a debut single it was.

8. “Amen” – ‘Into the Wild Life’ (2015)

“Amen” has a very interesting and personal origin story. Lzzy Hale told us in a 2020 interview the song was inspired by her cousin who had recently come out as gay. “There's a huge chunk of my extended family that are very religious-based and they were not having any of it,” said Hale. “And so she confided in me for a lot of that period of time…[In the song] I'm talking about, and encouraging, my young cousin -- she's six years younger than I am -- to be herself and to be out about being a lesbian and loving who she wants to love. But I'm also putting that religious twist on it as kind of a middle finger.” Honestly, hooray for that middle finger!

7. “Apocalyptic” – ‘Into the Wild Life’ (2015)

Many of us had that one person we’ve dated that was just not the right fit, but we kept the relationship going much longer than it should have because the sex was just *so* good. Well, this is the theme song for all of those dysfunctional relationships. Also, like its subject matter, “Apocalyptic” is an energetic good time that set the stage for a very impressive third studio album.

6. “I Like It Heavy” – ‘Into the Wild Life’ (2015)

“I got a ringing in my ears getting ready to burst/Screaming hallelujah motherf—er take me to church.” Halestorm recorded ‘Into the Wild Life’ in Nashville, and when you’re in Music City, it’s hard not to be influenced by its sound. The country twang is strong on “I Like It Heavy,” but that doesn’t mean the band still doesn’t pack its hard rock edge. If anything, Halestorm help prove the worlds of country and rock aren’t as different as some may think.

5. “Mayhem” – ‘Into the Wild Life’ (2015)

Simply put, “Mayhem” is a total banger. It served as the fourth and final single off of ‘Into the Wild Life,’ but for most bands, this track would’ve been a lead single. Then again, Halestorm aren’t most bands, and ‘Into the Wild Life’ was just full of killer tunes. Side note: Want a surefire sign of just how anthemic a song is? When it’s licensed by the WWE to be used as a theme song to one of their events. “Mayhem” was used as the theme to 2016’s NXT TakeOver: Dallas which took place during WrestleMania weekend.

4. “Freak Like Me” – ‘The Strange Case Of…’ (2012)

Lzzy Hale told us of “Freak Like Me,” “This is the song that I can trace back to that moment where I was an 11 year old and found out I was not cool, that I was not like the other girls…I love playing that song live. It has become such an amazing anthem for our community. The fans took it upon themselves to change their branding. They used to call themselves ‘Storm Chasers’ in the beginning years of Halestorm. And since that song was released, they'd started calling themselves ‘Freaks.’” In addition to fans finding inspiration in the tune, “Freak Like Me” marked Halestorm’s first number one hit on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.

3. “Uncomfortable” – ‘Vicious’ (2018)

“Uncomfortable” is Halestorm at their most defiant, and it is glorious! (“I did it all/To break every single preconceived notion/That you have/I did it all to shake every single one of your emotions/And just to make you/Uncomfortable.”) Oddly enough, Lzzy Hale said when she penned the lyrics to this pop-metal gem co-written by the entire band, they came “from a place of joy.” If you’re thinking it’s weird that making people uncomfortable brings joy, well…then clearly you haven’t experienced the unique pleasure of pissing people off with your own happiness, and perhaps you should try sometime.

2. “I Miss the Misery” – ‘The Strange Case Of…’ (2012)

As Halestorm’s most commercially successful song, “I Miss the Misery” remains an active rock radio mainstay a decade after it was first released. It’s pretty understandable why, too. From its perfect “Oh oh oh oh oh” hook to that outstanding bridge, “I Miss the Misery” is the radio hit that nearly every band strives for but few really achieve. Some songs harken to a certain decade, but “I Miss the Misery” has a timelessness about it that prevents it from sounding dated.

1. “Do Not Disturb” – ‘Vicious’ (2018)

So, why does “Do Not Disturb” have the distinction of topping our list? For starters, the track doesn’t sound like any other song in the Halestorm catalog. Plus, the fact it was inspired by an actual threesome Lzzy Hale had only makes “Do Not Disturb” cooler. (Side note: As for the song’s coolest lyric, it’s a tie between “I love you accent/I wonder what it’ll sound like when you c-m” and “There’s a king size bed, but we can do it on the floor.”) On top of that, the track inspired a unique trend among fans. Hale told us, “When meet and greets were still happening, fans who had spent the night in a hotel room would bring to the meet and greet a ‘Do not disturb’ sign, and I'd sign that. To be able to kind of put myself into other people's lives in that way and show a little bit more about myself, that to me was empowering.” She’s totally right; great sex can be very empowering. For the sake of her and the Halestorm catalog, here’s hoping for more great sex for Lzzy, because it has shown to lead to some amazing work.

Halestorm: Their 20 Best Songs, Ranked

20. “bet u wish u had me back” – ‘halestorm’ (2009).

Watch Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale cover Crawling amid rumours of Linkin Park returning with female singer

Is she teasing or trolling? Either way, it sounds great!

Lzzy Hale in 2024, next to Linkin Park in 2017

Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale has released a cover of Linkin Park ’s Crawling , amid speculation that the band may be reuniting with a female singer.

Hale put her rendition of the Hybrid Theory (2000) track on Instagram on Wednesday (August 28), the same day that a countdown anticipated to announce Linkin Park’s reunion expired. The nu metal band haven’t been active since October 2017, shortly after the death of longtime lead singer Chester Bennington.

Ultimately, the countdown proved a bit of a dud , and Linkin Park are now expected to make their announcement on September 5 .

Rumours of a Linkin Park comeback fired up in April, when Orgy singer Jay Gordon, a former collaborator of the band’s, said in an interview that they will be returning with a female singer in Bennington’s stead. Though he retracted his claims, they were backed up the following month by a Billboard report , which said Linkin Park will be back for a 2025 tour and festival shows. One anonymous source told the publication that the singer filling in for Bennington will be a woman. Evanescence leader Amy Lee denied being the female vocalist in question.

Hale has experience filling in for a male vocalist in an established band. This summer, she fronted glam metal legends Skid Row, taking the place of former vocalist Erik Grönwall for four tour dates. Despite encouragement from her fans and even Jon Bon Jovi , Hale didn’t join the band full-time, citing her ongoing commitments to Halestorm as the reason.

She wrote in part on social media: “This experience of getting to deep dive into Skid Row has given me a rare opportunity to deepen my love for these men I get to call friends. And the soul bonding moments we created together musically will live with me forever.

“And even though this particular time in my life prevents me from committing to a permanent role in Skid Row… I am sending in my official request to the universe that we will be able to join forces again down the road.”
