TICKETS: Tickets will be available via a general onsale beginning Friday, March 31st at 10AM local time at LiveNation.com .

MORE ON TICKETS:

Queen + Adam Lambert appreciate that it is an enormous task to try and stop scalpers from taking advantage of fans wanting to purchase tickets for the tour. In an effort to help minimize resale and keep ticket prices at face value for fans, the band are collaborating with the venues’ ticketing partners to restrict the ability to transfer tickets for The Rhapsody Tour so that they may only be transferred between fans at the original price.

Fans will still have protection against unforeseen circumstances. Those who purchase tickets and are no longer able to attend their show will be able to sell their tickets at the price they paid using a face value ticket exchange, including the Ticketmaster Face Value Exchange – which is free to use for buyers and sellers. More information on how the Ticketmaster Exchange works is available here .

Unfortunately, the states of NY, IL, and CO have laws in place which protect ticket scalpers – these laws prohibit artists from being able to restrict the transfer of their tickets to face value exchanges only. For shows in these states, Queen + Adam Lambert strongly encourage fans to only buy or sell tickets to one another on face value exchanges. More information can be found here , with more details to follow in the coming weeks.

Queen + Adam Lambert Announce 2023 North American ‘Rhapsody’ Tour Dates

By Andy Greene

Andy Greene

Queen + Adam Lambert are bringing their Rhapsody Tour back to North America for their first shows on this side of the Atlantic since 2019. The tour kicks off Oct. 4 in Baltimore, Maryland, and wraps up Nov. 11 in Los Angeles, California.

“This tour has lots of new bells and lots of new whistles,” Queen guitarist Brian May tells Rolling Stone . “We’ve evolved as performers, I think. We’ve stepped up our game. We have better chemistry than ever. We understand each other better than ever, and we feel more free in the way that we interpret stuff. We’re very happy with it. There’s lots of new production and stuff we want to excite you with.”

The set will focus on Queen classics like “Another One Bites The Dust,” “Somebody to Love,” and “Radio Ga Ga.” But they sprinkled in deep cuts like “Tear It Up” and “A King of Magic” in Europe last year, and hope to keep doing that.

“This show has evolved since its been in America since we’ve taken it around the world,” adds drummer Roger Taylor. “It’s quite a different show in a way, while retaining all the big hits, which so many people want to hear.”

Ticket sales begin Friday, March 31. In an effort to keep prices low and reduce scalping, the band is going to utilize the Ticketmaster Face Value Exchange, which makes it impossible to sell tickets for more than face value. “It’s an experiment,” says May. “We got sick of seeing our fans get ripped off by scalpers. We’re hoping this works out.”

Editor’s picks

Every awful thing trump has promised to do in a second term, the 250 greatest guitarists of all time, the 500 greatest albums of all time, the 50 worst decisions in movie history.

Queen + Adam Lambert first played together on the 2009 finale of American Idol. They began gigging together in 2012, and have stayed on the road consistently over the past decade. Filling in for Freddie Mercury was a daunting task at first for Lambert, but he’s grown very comfortable with the job over the years.

“I feel less anxiety now,” he says. “I’ve matured as a performer. I trust myself a bit more. I will say that when the movie [ Bohemian Rhapsody ] came out, we had all these new fans, and many of them were young, I felt this little pang of, ‘Oh, these are new fans that haven’t been to a show yet.’ I needed to prove myself again, which is good. It keeps me on my game.”

The 2018 movie was an enormous success that grossed $911 million and won four Academy Awards, including Best Actor for star Rami Malek. It ends at Live Aid in 1985, and there’s been scattered talk over the past few years of a sequel that would chronicle Mercury’s final years.

“We need a script,” says May. “That’s what it comes down to. It took us 12 years to get the script for Bohemian Rhapsody , and get the right team in place. I’m not anxious. I think if the right thing comes along, it might work. We have our wonderful producer, Graham King, on it. It’s a possibility. If the right planets align, it might happen.”

“He would be welcome,” adds Taylor. “But I don’t think it’s going to happen.”

At the moment, this next leg of the Rhapsody Tour is just 14 shows, but it’s very possible they’ll tack on more. “People are buying tickets,” says Lambert. “And hey, we like performing.”

Queen + Adam Lambert Unveil North American ‘Rhapsody’ Tour Dates: ‘These Are New Glory Days’

Queen Adam Lambert

“These are kind of new glory days for us,” said Queen guitarist and founding member Brian May, who was literally knighted by King Charles III earlier this month. “It’s nice to think that hopefully there will be the demand for that.”

But the guitarist, along with founding drummer Roger Taylor and singer Adam Lambert , was on the other side of the Atlantic in Thursday, in New York to announce the group’s 14-show North American leg of its “Rhapsody” tour — its first since 2019 — which runs from Oct. 4 through Nov. 11.

Popular on Variety

Shows on the overseas “Rhapsody” tour dates featured around 25 songs plus four encore numbers, and included the hits “Killer Queen,” “Fat Bottomed Girls, “Another One Bites the Dust, “We Will Rock You / We Are the Champions” and the song with more than 2 billion Spotify streams that lent its title to a film and this tour, “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

Queen promises some deeper cuts on this jaunt. Lambert says, “I’m not sure exactly what we’ll pull out for this one. Look, I would be happy just to show up and do what I was told if that was how it was. But I’ve been really fortunate to work with these two gentlemen who are very collaborative, and we get to all throw ideas in and work things out. I’m really grateful for that it makes me even more invested in it.

It’s been a decade since the group’s first live American concert, though the first time they performed was in 2009 when May and Taylor were guests on the eighth season of “Idol.” May remembers the first actual American concert in Las Vegas in 2013 for the iHeart Music Festival: “It felt so good both internally and from the [crowd] reaction that we thought, ‘My God, this is something we shouldn’t be letting go.’ I think we foresaw some kind of future, didn’t we? But not quite as big as it actually happened. It’s been colossal.”

Lambert agreed, “I don’t think I would have imagined that it would have been the gift that keeps on giving.”

The current Rhapsody tour features Queen + Adam Lambert’s regular band members, longtime keyboard player and musical director Spike Edney, bass guitarist Neil Fairclough and percussionist Tyler Warren. Founding bassist John Deacon left the band and effectively retired from music following Freddie Mercury’s 1991 death, and chose not to be present at Queen’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.

Despite a 30-year-plus age difference between Lambert, 41, and May, 75 and Taylor, 73, the three have an easy camaraderie that’s evident both onstage and off. Lambert was only three when Queen’s iconic 1985 Live Aid performance rocked the world, but it was something he got to recreate at the Fire Fight fundraiser concert in Sydney, Australia in February 2020, a month before Covid shut down the world.

As a fan growing up, Lambert was familiar with Queen’s Live Aid footage. “But when it came time to first join the band on stage, I was like, ‘I have to know my stuff’ so I watched as much as I could. Besides Live Aid, one of my favorite things was Montreal concert where Freddie was running around in a pair of itty bitty white shorts and no shoes,” Lambert says. “I just I remember seeing that and going ‘This guy’s amazing.’ He was so free and ridiculous and just full of joy and I’ve been so inspired by that spirit. I try to approach shows with that same humor…”

“And shorts?” Taylor quipped.

“Not the shorts for me — Freddie had much better legs,” Lambert concluded.

A general on sale date for the Queen + Adam Lambert  U.S. tour is March 31, and in light of exorbitant ticket prices and “dynamic pricing,” the band stated in a release that “In an effort to help minimize resale and keep ticket prices at face value for fans, the band are collaborating with the venues’ ticketing partners to restrict the ability to transfer tickets for the Rhapsody tour so that they may only be transferred between fans at the original price.”

Having first launched their universally acclaimed Rhapsody Tour with 26 epic shows across North America during June & July 2019, Queen + Adam Lambert are taking their highly acclaimed production, now expanded and updated, back to where it first began.

Queen Elizabeth’s 70-year reign, providing an altogether magnificent opener for its UK & European run of sold-out dates which saw the band play the Rhapsody tour across the UK and 11 countries throughout Europe, in all playing a total of 36 concerts.

King Charles to Open Parts of Queen Elizabeth’s Beloved Balmoral Castle, Buckingham Palace to the Public

queen tour website

By Kase Wickman

This summer, royal enthusiasts will be able to set foot inside rooms of two iconic royal residences for the first time ever. The royal family will make internal tours of Scotland's Balmoral Castle, as well as the East Wing of Buckingham Palace, available to the public in July and August.

Balmoral Castle , in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, was known to be the late Queen Elizabeth II’s favorite place to spend time. It’s also where she spent her final days and died in 2022 . Beginning this summer, the public will be allowed to explore parts of the royal residence for the first time ever since its completion in 1855.

The royal family usually spends large parts of their summers at Balmoral, a tradition that has continued into the reign of King Charles III . Last summer, the bulk of the royal family, with the exception of the estranged Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle , gathered at the castle .

This week, royal websites were updated with tickets for guided tours of the castle, which had previously only been offered on select dates for the grounds and the ballroom. The intimate tours, which were limited to 10 attendees per group and were only available on dates in July and early August, quickly sold out.

The royal estate in the Scottish Highlands is a touchstone for the family, and the site not only of family gatherings and the longest-sitting monarch’s death, but other milestone memories as well. In a recently resurfaced clip of Prince William giving a speech in Scotland in 2021 , he recalled being at Balmoral when he found out that his mother, Princess Diana, had died.

“Still in shock, I found sanctuary in the service at Crathie Kirk that very morning,” he said. “And in the dark days of grief that followed, I found comfort and solace in the Scottish outdoors. As a result, the connection I feel to Scotland will forever run deep.”

The castle and its land were first purchased by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1852 when they promptly began construction to expand and modernize the previously too-small estate they had fallen in love with. Notably, Queen Elizabeth herself was proposed to by Prince Philip on the 50,000 acres of what Victoria once called “my dear paradise in the Highlands.”

The rooms of Balmoral aren’t the only royal spaces to be made newly available to guests. On Wednesday, the Royal Trust announced that Buckingham Palace’s East Wing would also be opened for the first time this summer, following its five-year renovation. This will be the first time that the public will be able to visit the room leading out to the central balcony that has been the setting for so many milestones for the royal family, including the traditional appearance greeting the public at the summer Trooping the Colour festivities.

Certain rooms of Buckingham Palace have been opened in the summer for guided tours since 1992 when Queen Elizabeth began the offering as a fundraiser following a fire in the royal residence, but this is the first time in the castle’s history that these rooms will be available for public viewing.

Beyoncé Updated Her Website With A Sold-Out Tour Ticket Stub & Fans React

So, queen beyoncé, are we pulling out coins for an 'act ii: cowboy carter' tour or not, share the post, share this link via, or copy link.

Girl, we need a second.

Beyoncé has uploaded a new image on her BeenCountry.com website, fueling rumors about a pending Act II: Cowboy Carter tour.  The image, juxtaposed on a black background, is a black and white tour show ticket from the  Mrs. Carter Show . The ticket date is July 15, 2013, and according to a stamp, the show  was sold out .

Since the picture dropped, the Bey Hive has been in a frenzy about what the update means. In other words, what is Beyoncé (a.k.a Queen of Clue Giving) trying to tell us?

So, Queen Beyoncé, are we pulling out coins for a tour or not?

Pop culture outlet  Pop Base  shared a screenshot of the sold-out ticket on Twitter/X. The May 4 post has garnered over 2 million views, 2,300 shares and 280 comments.

Fans and followers have mixed reactions.  Some  shared   crying gifs  and pictures of  their wallets , concerned about their coins. Others  dropped   suggested dates  and  excitement  about a possible tour.

It is unclear whether a tour is officially coming, but today’s website edit adds to a rodeo-ring-size bag of evidence collected for some time. On March 31, The-Dream , who produced several songs on  Act II: Cowboy Carter , went viral for alluding to a pending tour.

He quickly pulled his message down, but fans were fast. They screenshot his social media post and promptly shared it.

Further, on April 22, Beyoncé dropped a reel and carousel of pictures that had the internet breathless. Wearing a black leather fit with fringe, gold buckles, and a cowboy hat, the “Jolene” singer posed with a truck covered in Cowboy Carter regalia.

In several shots, Beyoncé sat in the driver’s seat as if she were driving a tour bus. Fans seemed to get the possible hidden message. One wrote “Miss. Miss. Next year. Please. Lol” under her carousel post. Another commented, “Beyoncé, what’s coming, girl? Gone now my anxiety bad 😂😂.”

If the “16 Carriages” artist launches the highly-anticipated tour, it will be her 10th. Her last, the Renaissance World Tour, was the highest-grossing by a female artist in history and the seventh-highest-grossing tour overall.

The Queen's Reading Room collaborates with Hay Festival 2024

The Hay Festival 2024 will be partnered by The Queen’s Reading Room.

On Thursday 30 May, this partnership will see Waterstones Children's Laureate Joseph Coelho join authors Frank Cottrell-Boyce (patron of The Reader Organisation) and Cressida Cowell (former Children's Laureate) as they delve into the history of children's literature.

The trio, respected names in children's literature, will present a rapid-fire tour of their favourite books, spotlighting the rich history of the genre.

Acclaimed actor Freddie Fox, known for roles in The Crown and House of the Dragon, will breathe life into the works through his readings on the Global Stage.

The Queen's Reading Room, established as an Instagram book club by Her Majesty The Queen in 2021, is a charitable organisation devoted to promoting the joys of reading.

The partnership will also uncover the relationship between reading and wellbeing, a link informed by The Queen’s Reading Room’s recent neuroscientific study findings.

Reading for a mere five minutes a day could reduce stress by close to 20 per cent, foster focus and concentration by 11 per cent, and enhance problem-solving capabilities.

Tickets for the partnership event can be obtained from the festival's website.

It is just one of more than 600 events that attendees from May 23 until June 2 can enjoy.

Hay Festival Global CEO, Julie Finch, expressed her pleasure at the pairing.

"The Queen’s Reading Room is a charity that shares our mission of spreading the joy of reading globally," she said.

"It is a privilege to support their work in reaching new audiences, partnering on their first public event in Wales to showcase a thrilling line-up of writers and performers for young people."

Vicki Perrin, CEO of The Queen’s Reading Room, added: "The Queen’s Reading Room is delighted to be making our Hay Festival Hay-on-Wye debut with an enchanting conversation featuring celebrated authors Joseph Coelho, Cressida Cowell, Frank Cottrell-Boyce and actor Freddie Fox.

"As a charity, we are fascinated by the relationship between reading fiction and wellbeing and look forward to presenting this very special live edition of The Queen’s Reading Room.

"We know that this will be an unmissable event at Hay Festival Hay-on-Wye 2024."

In addition to the day's planned events, visitors can roam around and enjoy the revamped site.

The Hay Festival Hay-on-Wye 2024 has garnered support from premier sponsors including Baillie Gifford, the Welsh Government, Arts Council England and Wales, among others.

Kate Middleton and Prince William Hosted a Post-Coronation Concert Party at Windsor Castle

The party was attended by the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and their daughter, Lady Louise

queen tour website

The party continued for Kate Middleton and Prince William after the coronation concert!

Following the electric performances of Lionel Richie , Katy Perry and more at Sunday night's concert celebrating King Charles' coronation, the Prince and Princess of Wales held a reception at Windsor Castle , according to the court circular.

The soiree was attended by Prince William 's uncle Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh and his wife Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh along with the couple's daughter, Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor.

Earlier that night, Prince William and Kate attended the Coronation Concert with their two eldest children, Prince George , 9, and Princess Charlotte , 8. Princess Kate wore a red suit by her wedding gown designer, Alexander McQueen, while the heir to the throne wore a dark blue suit with a tie.

The concert, hosted by Paddington star Hugh Bonneville , was meant to "celebrate the Coronation of Their Majesties The King and The Queen in front of 20,000 members of the public and invited guests."

Prince William took the stage during the event to give a speech praising his "Pa," which appeared to make King Charles emotional.

"As my grandmother said when she was crowned, 'Coronations are a declaration of our hopes for the future,' " Prince William said, quoting Queen Elizabeth 's coronation speech from 1953. "And I know she's up there, fondly keeping an eye on us. She would be a proud mother."

"My father's first words on entering Westminster Abbey yesterday were a pledge of service. It was a pledge to continue to serve," he continued. "Because for over 50 years, in every corner of the U.K, across the Commonwealth and around the world, he has dedicated himself to serve others, both current and future generations, and those whose memory must not be neglected."

The Prince of Wales ended his speech by saying, "I commit myself to serve you all. King, country and Commonwealth," he concluded. "God save the King."

There were several highlights of the night including when everyone — including King Charles , Queen Camilla and other members of the royal family — stood up to dance to "All Night Long" performed by Richie.

Perry also made a splash with her performance of "Roar," before dedicating the song "Firework" to King Charles and his charity work.

Tom Cruise , Hugh Jackman, Pierce Brosnan, Dame Joan Collins and Disney's beloved Winnie the Pooh also made appearances, along with Sir Tom Jones , Bear Grylls and more in some of the day's pre-recorded sketches that revealed little-known facts about King Charles.

Q+AL North American Rhapsody Tour Approaches...

Queen + Adam Lambert Rhapsody Tour Approaches start of 23-date North America Tour

Opens Baltimore, MD, on October 4 with final shows in Los Angeles November 11 & 12

Includes special one-off headliner at Formula 1 Lenovo U.S. Grand Prix at Circuit of The Americas, Austin, Texas, October 21

Having first launched their universally acclaimed Rhapsody Tour with 26 epic shows across North America during June & July 2019, Queen + Adam Lambert are taking their highly acclaimed production, now expanded and updated, back to where it first began.

Sir Brian May, Roger Taylor and their exceptional frontman Adam Lambert are returning for a further spectacular North America run of sold-out shows which gets underway next week with its opening show Wednesday, October 4 in Baltimore.

Promising an “even more ambitious show”, the band’s 23-date US tour begins October 4 with the first of two shows at Baltimore’s CFG Bank Arena continuing throughout North America including stops in Toronto, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Dallas, Denver and further cities before closing out with a pair of dates at Los Angeles’s BMO Stadium November 11 and 12. In addition, the band will perform a special one-off headliner on October 21 at the Formula 1 Lenovo U.S. Grand Prix at Circuit of The Americas, Austin, Texas. See full routing below.

Brian May says, “We’re still calling our show The Rhapsody Tour, but the content has evolved massively from when you last saw it. New toys, new takes, but all the hits and more.”

Adam Lambert says: “I consider it a beautiful twist of fate that I was put on a path that aligned me with Brian and Roger. I can’t wait to tour North America one more time alongside the two unbelievably talented legends that are Brian May and Roger Taylor.”

Roger Taylor adds: “Adam is certainly a real force on stage. It’s been nothing but a riotously funny and enjoyable journey with him. He is simply one of the best vocalists in the world – FACT!”

Queen + Adam Lambert’s 150-minute career-spanning setlist celebrates the band’s extraordinary back catalogue, lining up wall-to-wall immortal anthems like “We Will Rock You”, “Don’t Stop Me Now”, “Radio Ga Ga”, and “Somebody To Love” alongside classic deep cuts and vintage fan favourites. Featuring a dazzling state-of-the-art stage design, incredible special effects and set pieces, this sense-swamping extravaganza has been blowing critics and fans away the world over since its very first unveiling in North America in 2019.

It has been over a year since the band last toured their acclaimed Rhapsody Tour, which was highlighted across the world in royal fashion Saturday, June 4, 2022, with a special performance in front of London’s Buckingham Palace as the opener for the Platinum Jubilee concert celebrating the late H.M. Queen Elizabeth’s 70-year reign, providing an altogether magnificent opener for its UK & European run of sold-out dates which saw the band play the Rhapsody tour across the UK and 11 countries throughout Europe, in all playing a total of 36 concerts.

The 2023 North American tour will see Queen + Adam Lambert supported on stage by their regular band members, long-serving Queen keyboard player Spike Edney, bass guitarist Neil Fairclough and percussionist Tyler Warren.

Having extensively toured since it first debuted in North America in 2019, the Rhapsody show is forever evolving. But it remains at heart a tribute to Freddie Mercury’s majestic legacy, a confirmation of Brian and Roger’s undimmed musical prowess, plus a magnificent showcase for Adam’s vocal skills and electrifying stage charisma, all adding up to a glorious full-blooded celebration of one of the greatest songbooks in rock history.
