90-day visit eligibility

If you are a passport holder of one of the below countries or territories, your passport will be stamped with a multiple entry 90-day visit visa that's valid for 6 months from the date of issue, and for a stay of 90 days in total. Citizens of the below European countries are also entitled to apply for a pre-arranged visit visa if their 90-day visa on arrival has been fully utilized.

180-day visit eligibility

If you hold a Mexican passport you’re eligible for a multiple entry 180-day visit visa that's valid for 6 months from the date of issue, and for a stay of 180 days in total.

Dubai immigration procedures

As an added security measure, Immigration Authorities at Dubai International are now conducting random eye screening for visitors to Dubai.

Visitors asked to proceed for eye screening are required to present a hard copy of their visa or a printed version of the visa number confirmation page at the screening counter. If you do not have a copy with you, a charge of AED 30 per copy applies - payable only in AED.

New visit entry permit to the UAE for Indian nationals

From 7 January 2024, eligible Indian nationals with a normal passport valid for a minimum of six months can obtain a single entry, 14-day visa on arrival. A fee of USD 63 applies.

The online visa application service is available for residents and nationals of many countries around the world. Find out if you can apply for a UAE visa. Applicants' passports must have at least six months' validity as of their date of travel to Dubai, and must be machine readable passports – handwritten passports are not accepted.

This service is only available to passengers with a confirmed Emirates booking where an Emirates ticket has already been issued and the flight itinerary already includes the desired time in Dubai. The itinerary into and out of Dubai should be on one ticket (PNR), and these flights must be Emirates flights. There may be 3000 AED security deposit but that is subject to immigration and refundable after your exit. In order to apply for the Visa, the applicant must provide a scanned photocopy of their passport and their Nadra issued card. You are not subject to receiving a refund for your visa application fee if it gets rejected. Visa’s approval is completely the decision of Dubai’s immigration officers. • There are three types of Visas which can be obtained from the Embassy, the Embassy excuses for accepting the application if these conditions are not met Visa Requirements:

1- FOR PAKISTANI NATIONALS: (GOVT. OFFICIALS)

• Note Verbal from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Pakistan is compulsory.
• Note Verbal of older dates and issued before two weeks and more than will not be accepted.
• Incomplete Visa applications will not be accepted.
• The Purpose of Entry, regardless the duration of stay & the Sponsor’s details should be mentioned on the note verbal issued from the esteemed Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad & on the visa form.
• Correct telephone/mobile numbers should be written.

2- FOR DIPLOMATIC MISSIONS, UN AGENCIES & INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS IN ISLAMABAD:

• Note Verbal from the concerned Mission/ Office is compulsory.
• Note Verbal of older dates will not be accepted.
• The Purpose of Entry and the sponsor’s detail should be mentioned on the note verbal & the visa form.

3- VISA FORM REQUIRMENTS:

• Original Visa Form MUST be Typed Out and hand written Form will not be accepted.
• Photograph with White background should be attached with visa application Form.
• Colored scanned copy of the applicant’s passport should be attached.
• The Particulars of Sponsor in UAE must be mentioned in specified box in visa Form (PARTICULARS OF SPONSOR).
• Govt. Official should mention the Particulars of Sponsor as their Embassy or Consulate in UAE.

The visa will be issued after approval from the concerned authorities in the UAE within 14 days. 4- Courtesy visas on diplomatic and official passports are exempted from the visa fees. 5- Multiple entry visas for 3 moth will be granted only for diplomatic passports, and single entry visa for 30 days will be granted for official and ordinary passports.

6- Ordinary passports will be charged for the visa according to the duration of stay in UAE i.e.:

• US $ 60/- for (30) Days stay and Single Entry.

7- Visa fees for ordinary passports will be paid in advanced while submitting application and shall NOT BE refunded in case the applicants request is rejected/denied by the Ministry of Foreign Ministry of the UAE.

8- Affidavit/No-Objection certificate by the guardian must be submitted for children’s under  age of 21 if they are traveling alone or with their mother without accompanying the guardian, Affidavit/No-Objection certificate shall be on government official paper (stamp paper) and must be translated in Arabic language and attested by the Ministry of foreign affairs of Pakistan, and accordingly will be attested by the embassy with attestation fees 41 US$. 9- The Embassy excuses for accepting the application if these conditions are not met.

10- Tourism/Ordinary visa can be obtained from certified travel agent or from airlines (Emirates Airline and Etihad Airline).

11- The Embassy of the UAE does not issue  following types of visas as it can be obtained through the sponsor and the relevant authorities in the UAE:-

• Residence 
• Work /Employment
• Exhibition/ Festivals/ Conference

12-   Application Submission Timings: Visa application must be submitted to the embassy’s Consular Section AT LEAST 14 days Prior to the Date of Departure.

All the applicants are requested to submit their requests for visa to the Visa Section between:

9:00AM – 1:00 PM on Monday – Friday.

Note:  Visa Requests submitted after 1:00 PM will be processed the next working day.

All tourists must have a passport that is effective for at least six months after their arrival date. If your passport is less than six months old, you must renew it before applying for a visa and traveling to the UAE.

To extend your visa, you should leave the UAE and then visit again on a new visa if the conditions are met. If you overstay your visa and do not renew it, you may risk legal procedures and a fine. Furthermore, applying for a UAE visa in the future may be impossible.

While within the UAE, this visa cannot be converted to a work visa .

Documents Required For Dubai Visa For Pakistanis

Before submitting the online application, please ensure that you have all you require for an efficient application procedure. And here's what you need to provide:

• Passport: All candidates must have a passport that is active for at least additional 6 months after their scheduled arrival date in Dubai. Otherwise, your application may be declined.
• A scan of your passport:  Only the scan of the passport's details page is required. 
• Your photograph: The visa application will require a photo of you to finish your application. Verify that it was shot within the previous 6 months and that it fits the photo standards.
• Scanned copy of Emirates ticket
• Hotel reservation information (If you are living with a family member, relative, or acquaintance, you can give his/her Emirates ID).
• National ID card: Some countries might be required to submit additional documents. People with Pakistani passports are required to submit their national ID cards. 

Process of Applying For a Dubai Visa For Pakistanis

• To register for a Dubai Visit Visa from Pakistan, go to the Dubai Visit Visa Online website and create a new visa application with "Pakistan" as your residing and citizenship nation.
• Choose whether you need a visa for two weeks, one month, or three months (single-entry or multiple-entry).
• Submit the Dubai E-visa Pakistan application form and attach the required papers.
• Then, pay the visa money with the options of PayPal, Debit card/Credit card. 
• After which you will receive permission when your visa is approved, and then you can depart for Dubai.

Applying For a Dubai Visit Visa Through Sponsor

• One way to explore Dubai is with a sponsored visa, which may be obtained through an individual or a tour operator who is accountable for the hotel/accommodation or the preparations for your trip. Transit visa

The UAE issues two types of transit visas: one for 48 hours, and another for 96 hours. Transit visas are sponsored by the UAE-based airlines and must be processed and approved before entering the UAE

If you are not one of the nationalities that are eligible for visa on arrival  or a  visa-free entry  to the UAE, then you need a transit visa.

Only the UAE based-airlines you are travelling through can arrange your transit visa prior to your journey. If your trip is through a travel agency, the agency can also help you get the visa, but all visas are routed through the airline. Airline agents can apply online for transit visas through one of the following means:

• the  eChannels  portal
• the UAEICP app for  Apple  and  Android
• online channels offered by the relevant General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in each emirate.

Transit visa is issued either for 48 hours or for 96 hours. Please note that once a 48 hours visa is issued, it cannot be extended to 96 hours.

Transit visas for 48 hours

Transit visas for 48 hours are issued free of charge to passengers transiting through the UAE’s airports. You need to apply for the visa in advance through a UAE-based airline. This visa is not extendable, nor renewable. The validity of the visa is 48 hours from entry into the UAE, and you must leave the UAE within 48 hours from arrival.

To get a transit visa, you must have:

• a passport or travel document with a minimum validity of three months
• a photo of self against a white background
• an onward ticket booking to a 3rd destination, other than the one you are coming from.

Transit visas for 96 hours

Transit visas for 96 hours are issued against a fee of AED 50 to passengers transiting through the UAE’s airports. You need to apply for the visa in advance through a UAE-based airline. This visa is not extendable, nor renewable. The validity of the visa is 96 hours from entry into the UAE, and you must leave the UAE within 96 hours from arrival.

• a passport or travel document with a minimum validity of six months

No fees or additional amounts can be imposed by any federal, local or private entity. A departure fee of AED 30 is levied on each passenger passing through the UAE’s airports.
