I too could of visited Nefertari's tomb, on numerous visits to the VoQ (in the early '90's) when the fee was at first 100LE and then rose to I think 150LE, but (regretfully) did not, because back then, as you say (when the exchange rate was only 5LE to £1 GB) we considered it too expensive !
