The Safari Chef BBQ weighs less than 4kg, making it ideal for camping, picnicking and fishing.

Offering multiple interchangeable cooking surfaces, the unit comes with a GreenGrill ceramic BBQ Grid, GreenGrill ceramic Flat Grill Plate, enamelled Dome Lid which doubles as a pot for cooking and a removable pot stand for use with your own kettle and pans.

The complete unit packs away neatly in a durable storage bag with mesh side pocket for gas cartridge storage.

The Safari Chef HP operates off the CADAC 500g EN417 threaded gas cartridge (not included) or any other EN417 threaded gas cartridge which screws directly into the BBQ.

This High Pressure (HP) outdoor gas cooker weighs less than 9lbs and offers a range of different cooking options: A burner with a pot stand, a BBQ grid, a flat grill plate, and a lid/dome which also doubles up as a pot.

From griddle cakes and burgers to grits and stews the camping meal options become endless with this compact, versatile gas barbecue.

It uses a 1-pound propane gas cartridge that screws directly into the unit. After use, the cooking tops are easy to clean and the unit folds up neatly into a convenient carry bag.

The Cadac Safari Chef 30 Barbecue is the perfect table top portable BBQ grill, ideal for camping, caravanning, and days out such as the beach and picnics, the safari chef comes in two different models the LP and HP (see below to understand the difference), this makes it easy for them to be portable to suit your needs by running it off a different type of gas bottle or can.

The safari chef comes complete with fold out legs, pot stand for boiling potatoes etc, ribbed grill plate for barbecuing your favourite foods this has a non stick coating, flat plate for frying your bacon and eggs etc this also has a non stick coating. The Dome lid for keeping all the heat in your food also doubles up as a wok or a big frying pan, then the porcelain enamel fat pan is removable for quick easy cleaning and use of the pot stand. This great little barbecue comes in a carry bag for easy storage and easy to carry to the beach etc

The difference between LP and HP is the type of gas connection used LP = Low Pressure, uses larger refillable bottles with a gas hose and regulator HP = High Pressure, uses smaller disposable gas cans which screw into the bottom of BBQ

Green Grill

From 2018 most of our cooking surfaces will be supplied with ‘GreenGrill coating’. This ceramic coating is made from organic materials and doesn’t contain any toxic substances.

The CADAC GreenGrill is much more durable and harder than normal non-stick coating. It resists higher temperatures, divides the heat better and holds this heat, so less gas is used while grilling.

Cooking tops are very easy to clean with some water and detergent.

Thermo Grill

CADAC patio barbecues are supplied with our new, innovative Thermogrills.

These unique, enameled steel grids provide an even heat distribution and a quicker heat-up time. The heat will not go around the grid, but is ‘trapped’ in the U-profile. This results in a lower gas consumption.

The grill is heated over the complete surface, so the complete grid can be used for grilling.

Cadac Easy Clean

The burner box of CADAC patio barbecues have clean and smooth inside surfaces made from enamel coated steel or coated aluminium. The Easy Clean System enables water to drain off in a removable fat drip cup. With the telescopic hose the water will flow into a bucket.

Our cooking tops have a non-stick coating, making them easy to clean. Our portable barbecues have an enameled fat pan that can easily be removed and washed.

Cleaning has never been this simple; just use a sponge and some water with detergent.

Hey , I 'm thinking of buying a cadac safari chef 2 . I'm wondering which one i should buy .The hp or lP . The hp seems handy because you don't need an external gascartridge . but can you fold the legs with the cartdige still attached , you can't unscrew the cartridge when there's still gas left can you ? THe lp seems more a hastlte with hose and expansion valve ..

The LP has a higher output and have read on a couple of forums about people sending the HP back and getting the LP because just not getting hot enough to BBQ. It's a shame as I think the HP is a much neater setup. Yes you can remove the gas bottle even when half used. I have the LP and use 500g bottles as cheaper than Campingaz (when bought in bulk) and easier to carry. Seb  

I went for the HP despite the bad reviews online regarding it not being hot enough, and it seems absolutely fine to me.

Just bought a Cadac Safari Chef 2 plus pizza stone. Went for the LP as we will be taking two 907 bottles with us, one for the camping chef and the other a spare which can be used with the Cadac when required.

Hi, I got this ok. . Hmm, not sure of the answer as we are sporadic campers, and I don’t time our usage, but last year we spent 3 months in the van in France and Spain. We mostly ate in the van, so using the 904, it was early season, so didnt use the CADAC that much. I remember swopping the cylinder once in Spain, and then again in France ( as it was a problem to swop because the Spanish one was slightly different...finally found a check out guy that didn’t care!) We went over with a cyclinder that was not New, and I havent changed it since ( but we haven’t done any longer tips since, and haven’t been able to go this year as planned so they last pretty well, is all I can say. And , as before , the beauty is you can run the big one right out, and use your CADAC one, till you buy a top up.

Go lp and buy the convertor. I've done this and my cadac will run almost any gas canister I can find. The adapter is for the en417 screw cans which are small for if you need to port your cadac to the beach or something. Then back at the van I use my spare 907. At the moment I'm using an old caravan butane bottle I found in the garage that I adapted to fit. So answer is LP all the way. I can photograph if anyone's interested my attachments. Fnarr fnarr

New substation Vorsha to provide electricity to a large factory in Vladimir Oblast

Russia, Vladimir Oblast: IDGC of Center and Volga Region (Rosseti) continues construction of a new 110/10/10 kV substation Vorsha which will supply a large factory for the production of buses and special vehicles Volgabas.

The estimated cost of the project is RUB 297 million ($8 million). Two 40 MVA power transformers, gas-insulated circuit breakers and 110 kV will be installed in the second and third phases of the construction.

Currently, the foundation for the housing and fence around the substation area are being built. The operation is expected to start mid-2015.
