The islands of Hawaii are not only the biggest influence on IRATION's sound they are home to all of its members. IRATION was born from a love of all types of music and a desire to create something new. Elements of reggae, rock, and pop are mixed with keyboard/synth and melodic vocal lines to create something truly unique. IRATION is best heard in a live setting where you can truly experience the full spectrum of their range. They have proven to truly have an understanding of modern and traditional performance techniques that keep young and old fans' hands in the air and heads bobbing.   In 2007, they recorded and released their first full length album, No Time for Rest, which featured one of the last recorded performances by reggae legend Mikey Dread, who produced accomplished musicians such as The Clash and UB40. Since then IRATION has released several more recordings: Sample This EP, Time Bomb LP, and Fresh Grounds EP - which included several songs that had much radio success (Time Bomb LP's "Turn Around" spent ten weeks at #1 on San Diego's 91X FM) that boosted the band's popularity and opened the door for TV and other media placements. They have been lucky enough to share stages with Kings of Leon, 311, Incubus, Bush and many other talented acts in venues such as Santa Barbara Bowl and The Wiltern Theater, as well as at events such as Cypress Hills Annual Smoke Out Festival, West Beach Music Festival and Sunset Strip Music Festival.   After wrapping up their 2011 summer, which included festival performances at Lollapalooza, Wakarusa, and 91X X Fest, IRATION continues to tour relentlessly and looks forward to embarking on their 2nd annual Lei'd Back Tour this fall. These Hawaiian-raised naturally talented musicians look forward to spreading their original sound, aloha spirit, and cutting edge surf culture as far as possible and continuing to make original music.

Aloha Iration annd opening band was sick and the venue is the best. Food and Beverage lines short Staff so on it and nice Mahalo

It was an awesome concert!

The concert was awesome with special guests and surprises. Loved it except the venue needs work! Long lines, ppl standing. Maybe get tips from Blaisdell so ppl don’t need to stand in long lines to get a drink or food or T- shirt one was especially long!!!

Outstanding

It was our first time listening to Iration (was on a visit from Germany) . Did fall in love with the band write away - great songs and sound. Specially liked that the band has a trumpet and a trombone player - this makes it together with the other great guys unique to me. Hope to see the band again in the future.

Iration’s Was Electric

The Iration’s concert was an energy filled 2 hours of pure pleasure. This band makes a whole lot of music from their 7 members. Really enjoyed the concert and the variety of music they played, did wish they would have played my favorite by them - Let Me Inside!

Another awesome concert in my epic series of reggae concerts this year. The House of Blues is great venue. Celebrated my sister's birthday at the same time. We really enjoyed the show.

Iration was amazing! Great setlist and great sounds. Artikal Sound System and Cydeways were great as well. This is my favorite venue. Parking is free and is never an issue getting in and out. The VIP room is a great asset, much better than standing in the heat/cool/rain. Security here does a great job as well. No complaints at all.

I love the band. Both opening act were great as well. The venue needs help we all love loud beep bass music we would like to here the lyrics too. Turning g the volume down just 10 percent would make it sound so much better. So much so we stayed in smoking section outside most of show just to here music clearly. Do better house of blues iration don't stopping doing what your doing we love you.

Reggaeton diehards, unite! Iration just announced a co-headline tour with fellow reggae-rock outfit Pepper this summer! The tour will be quite extensive and span cities across the United States with support from DENM and Artikal Sound System. The Daytrippin In Paradise Tour will last well into September and will hit both the East and West Coasts.

The Pepper and Iration 2024 Tour will begin on July 11 in Houston, Texas at the Bayou Music Center. Unless more dates are added, the tour will end on September 8 in Santa Barbara, California at Santa Barbara Bowl.

OC Fair 2024: Alice Cooper, Sublime With Rome join Pacific Amphitheatre lineup

V eteran shock rocker Alice Cooper, Sublime With Rome and Needtobreathe have been added to the Orange County Fair’s Pacific Amphitheatre concert series.

Sublime With Rome, out on its final tour now that Sublime has reformed with frontman Jakob Nowell , will play the amphitheater July 27 with Fortunate Youth opening. Tickets are $40-$80.

Alice Cooper will play classics like “School’s Out” and “I’m Eighteen” when he plays Pacific on Aug. 16. Tickets are $37.50-$77.50.

Contemporary Christian band Needtobreathe will play a post-fair show at the amphitheater on Aug. 22. Tickets are $40-$80.

Tickets for all three shows go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 20 at pacamp.com . Tickets for Sublime With Rome and Alice Cooper include same-day fair admission. Tickets for Needtobreathe include single-day admission on a Wednesday or Thursday during the fair’s run, July 19-Aug. 18.

• Russian destinations

Khabarovsk is the industrial, transport, administrative and cultural centre of the Khabarovsk region. The city was founded in 1858 as a military outpost. It is located 8532km east of Moscow and 30km from the Chinese border. After passing through the isolated Siberian towns on the Trans-Siberian railway, tourists often find Khabarovsk an unexpected surprise with its numerous green parks, riverside paths and historic downtown area. If you do get to spend a day in Khabarovsk then a definite must is to visit the Far East Regional Museum, which is extremely well laid out and gives detailed historical examples. Also worth a visit if you have time, is the beautifully restored Fine Arts Museum overlooking the Amur River, which includes Russian masterpieces, early Slavic icons and a collection of Western European art.

If you happen to visit in summer then you may not want to spend any time inside and there are plenty of places to relax outside. One option is Dynamo Park, which is extremely popular with the locals. A 30 hectare park featuring several water ponds to dip your feet in when it gets too hot! Another outside spot to relax is the city ‘beach’. Although it’s over 300km from the nearest coastline, the river bank does give a feeling of relaxing on a beach somewhere in the Mediterranean.

The best way to get to Khabarovsk is on the Trans-Siberian railroad but there is also a well-served airport connecting to most of the major cities in Russia.
