The BrewBoat is ideal for groups of up to 15 people, making it perfect for birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, family gatherings, team building events, or even casual outings with friends. They even welcome birdwatchers!

The boat features 10 pedal stations around a mahogany bar, with additional seating for those who prefer to relax and enjoy the view. A captain is always on board to steer the vessel, so you can focus on pedaling, enjoying the music, or taking in the sights.

The BrewBoat is BYOB, allowing you to bring your favorite beer or wine. They provide coolers, ice, and a Bluetooth sound system, so you can create your perfect playlist. For private charters, the route can be customized to explore different parts of the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk and surrounding creeks.

Booking a trip is easy and can be done online for individual seats or for a private charter. The BrewBoat is located on the Marshwalk behind Creek Ratz restaurant, and they recommend arriving 10-15 minutes before your scheduled cruise. Restrooms are available at Creek Ratz restaurant for use before your departure.

Pedaling the boat is not strenuous. The captain can adjust the resistance to suit your group’s preference.

East Coast BrewBoat Offers Pedal-Powered, Beer-Fueled Fun in Murrells Inlet

What do you get when you cross a boat and bicycles with a bar? The new East Coast BrewBoat, the only man-powered and beer-fueled party barge on the South Carolina coast.

Sailing out of the nearby fishing village of Murrells Inlet, only about 15 miles south of Compass Cove Oceanfront Resort in Myrtle Beach, the East Coast BrewBoat provides a unique experience on the water. Featuring a pontoon boat that is powered by patrons on bicycle-seat bar stools, the BrewBoat offers smooth sailing and good times at sea.

Holding up to 15 passengers, the East Coast BrewBoat relies on each party's pedal power to propel the vessel through the calm waters and creeks of Murrells Inlet. The boat features 10 pedal stations at the bar area, which is equipped with coolers of ice and stocked with the beer and wine you bring aboard for an affordable BYOB experience.

But the beautiful scenery on the tranquil water is the main attraction. The one-hour tours carry groups through the salt marshes and tidal inlets that surround the “Seafood Capital of South Carolina,” or you and your crew can opt for a shorter trip that includes a pub crawl to all the great bars along the Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk.

Visitors can book a tour in advance or check on a walk-up tour while visiting the historic waterfront district. Docked across from the famed Creek Rats bar and grill, the big blue boat can accommodate parties of any size up to 15. But the East Coast BrewBoat can also handle smaller parties looking to kill some time before lunch or dinner.

Patrons who are 21 and older are permitted to bring beer, wine and snacks aboard, and the captain and crew will make sure your drinks stay cold under layers of ice. Drink and peddle at your own pace for a leisurely cruise while you soak up some suds and the scenery.

In addition to the BYOB policy, the Easy Coast BrewBoat also subscribes to a “PYOM” rule, as in “Play Your Own Music”. Guests can bring their favorite play list aboard and the crew will literally hook you up. Our onboard speakers and sound system provide the perfect sound track to a day of good times and cold beers on the open inlet waters.

Patrons can travel at their own pace depending on how hard they wish to peddle, and the East Coast Brew Boat is equipped with an engine in case your party gets tired or wants to take it easy. The captain can adjust the pedals to high or low resistance based on your preference, and he controls all the steering and tour-guiding.

Tours run from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with the later cruises offering spectacular views of sunset over the inlet. Guests can book a seat individually or charter the entire boat by visiting BrewBoatSC.com. Make your online reservations and fill out the online waiver form so you will be ready to go from the time you arrive at the dock.

Patrons are advised to wear shoes that are good for biking. The bar section of the boat is covered to cut down on direct sunlight, but the outfit suggests wearing sunscreen and comfortable clothing for those hotter days on the water. But a steady ocean breeze, shady shoreline of the inlet and lots of cold drinks help keep it cool.

Take a Pedal-Powered Brew Cruise in Murrells Inlet

When you visit Paradise Resort in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, be sure to spread your wings a little. We know the biggest draws are the sand, the surf and our beautiful resort, but there is so much more to enjoy on the Grand Strand. The possibilities are almost endless and can be overwhelming, so we try to point out the best of the best in our blog posts for our guests. Today, we are heading south to Murrells Inlet.

Located about 12 miles down Highway 17, Murrells Inlet is an adorable little fishing village – or at least that is how it was known until recent years, over which it has become a hot spot on the southern Grand Strand for water sports, incredible restaurants and bars, and the MarshWalk. There is a saying in the inlet among locals: “It’s a quaint little drinking village with a fishing problem.” That, of course, is meant with good humor. The fact is, though, there really isn’t much you can’t find here in terms of restaurants, nightlife and bars. It’s nearly impossible to not enjoy yourself in the Inlet (as the locals call it).

There is a new addition to the Murrells Inlet entertainment scene this year – the East Coast BrewBoat. The first and only floating, pedal-powered pub in South Carolina, this is a pretty big deal, and it’s been a huge hit so far. Ready for the details? We’ve got them for you!

The BrewBoat offers a BYOB, one-of-a-kind cruise though the gorgeous marsh and inlet waters of Murrells Inlet. The scenery you will take in on your cruise is breathtaking and impossible to forget. The trip combines beer with elements of biking and boating, making for one adventurous and fun-filled trip around the inlet. Your BrewBoat can accommodate 15 people, so it’s the prefect size for your family, friends or the party you want to create on the water.

Booking is simple and quick. Visit brewboatsc.com, and you will be able to see their availability in the booking calendar – and you can even book your cruise online. They even have the legal waivers online so that you can print them out for your crew and everyone can sign them ahead of time, making it easier to just get the on-water party started when you arrive.

If you have enough people in your group to fill the boat (a full boat charter), then your route can be customized for pub-crawling or sightseeing. The choices and cruise itinerary are up to you. What you drink is also up to you. The BrewBoat allows you to bring your own beer and wine. They also have everything else you will need such as coolers, ice and cups. They do suggest that you remember your sunscreen and that your shoes be comfortable for biking, because you will be powering the boat, after all.

A few things you should know before you go. There are no bathrooms on the boat, so be sure to visit one on the MarshWalk before you leave shore. The cruise is an hour long, so bathroom breaks usually are not an issue, however. Don’t worry about overexerting yourself, either. The pedaling is easy, and it can actually be made easier or harder depending on your group’s preference for your trip. This is a fun cruise around the inlet and one the entire family can enjoy together. Of course, only those with valid IDs showing proof that they’re of drinking age will be allowed to consume alcohol or bring it aboard.

When you have returned to shore, be sure to stick around Murrells Inlet and enjoy the MarshWalk, some live music and, of course, one of the amazing restaurants the area has to offer.
