About the Role: As a Small Meeting Manager (SMM), you will work independently to develop and execute logistical tasks and responsibilities related to the planning and implementation of client-facing programs from concept through execution. You will be responsible for program tactics and administration, process management, and act as a front-line communicator for client inquiries and requests. This office-based role is hybrid and requires you to be located in Houston/Spring, TX.

You're Good At:

• Supporting program processes from conception to execution
• Managing program logistics, venue and speaker confirmation, website builds, attendee management, and travel coordination
• Providing consultation to meeting owners on best practices
• Data management within project management systems
• Compliance management ensuring programs adhere to regulatory and client-driven guidelines
• Vendor sourcing, contracting, and negotiation
• Creating reports to support program needs
• Attending and participating in client meetings and conference calls

You Might Also Have:

• Experience in negotiating vendor services such as venue/catering, transportation, and audio-visual needs
• Strong data management skills including attendee registration and tracking
• Knowledge of compliance policies and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to changing responsibilities and priorities

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Small Meeting Manager   is between $50,000 - $65,000 The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget .

Hard to get into contact with them and if something goes wrong they just ghost you instead of helping you. It is better to try and fix everything yourself. I hate that my company is working with them.

Worst company ever

Worst company ever. The stress that this company has caused on multiple occasions is next level. How they continue to exist as a company is mind boggling. Ridiculous flight plans, mistakes with names on bookings and never respond to calls. Shocking customer service.

Absolutely the WORST

Absolutely the WORST, almost makes me want to quit and go work for another company. The wait times to get in touch with someone on the phone are absolutely atrocious, even if you select to get a call back by the automated system, you never do. On top of that, the customer service agents/"travel specialists" are the worst of them all. If you don't believe me, go ahead give them a call and see for yourself. EVEN EMAILS they don't respond to on time....sometimes not at all!

BCD Travel booked international flight…

BCD Travel booked international flight few times. The last one was very bad they booked the ticket without my checking and got my client and my name wrong not according to how the passport showing. They deduct my credit card without my authorization and never call back to apologies.

Avoid them as long as possible

Three days, 4 calles, 6 emails, to eventully make my boss book a trainticket with SJ. Eventully someone that almoust know you language that could send you a text with the ticket... Next time I will pay for my ticket my self its not worth going on business trips at all if your company use BCD Travel as their agency. Better for mental health to just pay for a ticket your self.

Worst flight booking experience for business travel!

My office has outsourced the booking of flights to this company. They have internally made God-knows-what adjustments and booked the flights such that 1 of my colleagues got free seat selection, while the rest of us were charged for it. When the travel had to be postponed and flight cancelled, the amount was not refunded, and they and tell me this at the end like they are doing some favor to me.

Broken app, chat doesn’t work. Useless when it does work. Customer service hung up after waiting on the phone for hour +. Terrible agents when you do get a hold of them. Absolutely awful compared to CWT. This personifies how cost cutting backfires, and wastes employees time.

Our company just switched to BCD…

Our company just switched to BCD travel. I have been working with travel companies for over 40 years, and BCD is hands down the worst. It has been a miserable experience. I am looking forward to retirement and never having to deal with BCD ever again.

Do not use BCD travel

Do not use BCD travel. My husband recently had a work trip booked through BCD travel, I came along so they booked my tickets as well. We had issues at EVERY airport. Including tickets that were not booked properly so they canceled the flights, birthdays being wrong, so we got flagged, the lap infant was missing or booked twice on different flights, we had confirmation numbers mixed up, issues with connections, all around it was a mess! we spent HOURS in airports on the phone trying to get help. When we called their support lines they’d just hang up on us and once even said ‘well there’s nothing I can do, would you like to buy another ticket’. I ended up just going around them directly to the airline, and when I finally could get a hold of someone they’d get it sorted. But it took hours of work, at every airport. Do not book with them. Trust me you’re more capable than ANYONE at BCD travel.

Zero can not describe how this company is

They are really incompetent . We had a KT with our firm, they 4ucked the flights for the team, 4ucked the Hotel booking . We choose an option and they did the opposite. Bought wrong flights for our people. If you want an advice, DO NOT USE THIS "duck" COMPANY

This travel agency is the worst!

This travel agency is the worst! They were contracted by my husband's employer to coordinate the annual incentive trip. From early February until mid-May we had the most difficult time reaching our contact. They only give an email address so I had to go online and track down a phone number. At first no one could find our booking. Then they were confused about who was handling our reservations. The coordinator assigned to us took DAYS to respond to simple questions via email so I had to keep calling and leaving messages with others for her to get back to us. We did not receive complete final air reservations until the Friday before Monday morning take off! We extended our trip and she initially got the wrong return date for our charter. Eventually, we changed plans and they were able to help. But for an 8-hour flight to Hawaii and on the return flight, they were not able to get seats for me and my husband next to each other!!! How is that with 2 months to plan? Maybe they didn't even try since I kept bugging them? How would you feel if a travel agency was there to provide a service yet they did not communicate effectively, did not provide details until right before you left on the trip, and could not even get adjoining seats for an 8-hour flight?!! Beware!
