La Chica Dorada  and  La Reina de Corazones,   Paulina Rubio  and Alejandra Guzmán , will hit the road next spring to face off in a once-in-a-lifetime run of shows that will form the greatest and most controversial tour to ever occur in the history of Latin pop-rock, “ PerrÍsimas” US Tour 2022. Over the course of more than three decades,  Alejandra Guzmán  and  Paulina Rubio , legendary award-winners and global superstars, have each constructed outstanding careers, garnering praise as the “Queen of Latin Rock” and the “Queen of Latin Pop,” respectively. After years of rivalry between them, for the first time ever,  Rubio  and  Guzmán  will perform on the same stage to settle the score, promising an electrifying, heart-stopping experience for audiences across America.

In early 2021, the iconic musician appeared at the 2021 Lo Nuestro Awards alongside Daddy Yankee, Maluma, Ozuna, Luis Fonsi, Prince Royce and Marc Anthony.

An unlikely pair - since both were often pitted against each other throughout their careers - Guzmán and Rubio "will face off in a series of unique shows in life" for the United States with a tour that will begin on April 15 in Orlando and end on May 22 in Los Angeles. Without a large promotional company linked to the tour, the 23-date race will be produced by the artists themselves.

Guzmán, known to her fans as "La Reina de Corazones (Queen of Corazones)", garnered a total of $11.6 million and sold 265,000 tickets for 69 shows, according to Billboard Boxscore. Meanwhile, Rubio, a.k.a. "La Chica Dorada (Golden Girl)", sold 91,000 tickets in 36 shows and raised $3.4 million.

Pre-sale starts today (December 15) at noon, while tickets for the general public Alejandra Guzman 2024 tickets will be put on sale on Friday, December 17 at 10 am.

‘Like Oil and Water:’ How Divas Alejandra Guzmán and Paulina Rubio Made a Tour Work

Las Perrísimas Tour. /a>. That’s what Latin pop and rock icons Alejandra Guzmán and Paulina Rubio named their co-headlining U.S. trek. The literal translation for that audacious name is “The Bitchiest Tour” — or better yet, call it “The Bad Bitches Tour.” Either way, the run of shows they launched last month are bringing together two queens who have both been lauded as pioneers for an event like no other.

Long pitted against each other as rivals, Guzmán and  Rubio, who are both in their early fifties, met for coffee before the pandemic and began to discuss how they could bring their two forces together — Paulina on the Nineties pop side, and Alejandra with her roquera vibes. As live concerts started up again last year, bringing their stacked discographies on the road for a tour seemed like the right thing to do.

“We have everything different from each other, but it works,” Guzman says. “Each of us has our own world.” On stage, Rubio adds, the two combine and bring that “spicy girl power.”

They say their supposed rivalry was mostly concocted by Mexican media, thanks to a certain famous ex — Erik Rubin of teen pop group Timbiriche, which Rubio was also in — who was flirting with both women at the same time at the peak of their success. “It was a long time ago that we had a boyfriend in common,” Guzman says with a laugh. “It’s all very funny.”

Last month, they kicked off their countrywide trek, bringing such hits as Guzmán’s “Eternamente Bella” and “Hacer el Amor con Otro” and Rubio’s “Ni Una Sola Palabra” and “El Último Adios” to audiences that range in age from teens to grandmas.

“Even the bottom of our tongues hurt,” Rubio says. “We’ve been preparing our minds, body and soul for this tour. It’s not only our voices.”

“I’m feeling good with my titanium hip replacement,” adds Guzmán with a laugh. “I am enjoying dancing and being on stage.”

Unlike some other co-headlining tours, the two singers start their sets together, before taking turns performing their laundry list of hits. They end the show with a “versus” medley that taps into the drama surrounding their friendship, with songs from early in their careers that alluded to the rumors of competition between them. Together, they perform Rubio’s “Mío” — “Don’t even get close to him, he’s mine/He’s with another girl, but he’s mine,” she sings on the track — and Guzman’s “Hey Güera,” or “Hey Blondie.” (Think Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” vibes for that one.) Rubio also does a medley of Rubin’s Timbiriche hits, a silly dig at the old tea.

“This tour is not about us, this is about a whole generation that can relieve some pressure from their shoulders,” Rubio says. “It’s really cool to break the mold of the preconceptions of the past.”

Rubio and Guzmán are transparent about what it’s like being on the road with each other: “It’s been like oil and water,” admits Rubio. “But at the same time we have a lot of things in common: We are women, we are mothers, and we love music. That allows oil and water to get along. It’s like throwing firewood to a flame… It’s a privilege.”

Guzmán agrees, and says that lately, their relationship has been “beautiful.” “I can understand the many things she is going through, and I’m trying to be a kind partner as much as I can,” Guzmán says. “Sometimes there are differences, but the stage is sacred. I was taught to respect that.”

Guzmán knows a thing or two about sharing a tour. Before this year, she made a collaborative album and went on an accompanying tour with fellow pop-rock singer Gloria Trevi. That experience seemed to bring the two artists closer. This time, things are slightly different.

“The concept, the music, the personalities… but that’s the wonder of working on projects with different stars, because they are two very different artists,” Guzmán says. “I’m proud of being able to share the stage with people that already had their history… I don’t know, when you are a woman, it’s different. You can see how much they’ve had to work. The love for the stage, the love for life prevails.”

Their tour comes as the two celebrate large milestones for some of their greatest hits. This year, Rubio’s debut album, La Chica Dorada , which inspired her nickname, turns 30. “When I sing them at shows, it doesn’t feel like these songs are 30 years old,” she says. “I think they were part of a revolution, especially with the mix of [genres] like ranchero and hip-hop.”

As for Guzmán, even with her decades of experience since releasing her iconic debut album, Eternamente Bella, in 1990, she says she’s always ready to learn. She even started taking vocal lessons for the first time recently.

“I’ve learned to have more discipline. I had never taken vocal lessons before, so it is incredible that I never learned how to sing until now,” she says with a cackle. “I don’t understand how I made it! Now I have a coach, and that is something that amazes me. I do warm-ups, I lubricate my throat — things I never had any idea of — to make my life easier. I think I’m a little late!”

One thing’s for sure: both women are ready to have their audiences rock on.

“I want you to be wild and furious. I want you to shake your head and believe in new beginnings,” says Rubio. “I want you to go to the concert and forget about your problems for two or three hours and just be yourself. Like a wild Friday, even if it’s a Thursday.”

Tremenda noticia la que nos acaba de dar alejandra guzmán, pues visitará otras latitudes con su nuevo espectáculo titulado “brilla”..

Lo prometió y cumplió, Alejandra Guzmán invitó en exclusiva a las cámaras de Ventaneando para ser testigos del show que prepara desde hace medio año, y con el que celebrará 37 años de carrera, visitando diversas ciudades de México y Estados Unidos , pero también pisando por vez primera plazas de Europa como París, Múnich y Londres.

‘La Reina de Corazones’ se mostró feliz y reveló que “ me acaban de dar la noticia de que vamos a Londres , a París , a Múnich , a lugares donde nunca he ido ”.

Al preguntarle si hubo algo o alguien que la motivara a llevar su “ Brilla Tour ” a otras latitudes, Alejandra Guzmán declaró que “ me han impulsado esos problemas, estos tres años dolorosos son los que me han hecho empezar de nuevo y quererme de nuevo ”.

“Quitarme mucha gente tóxica que me explotaba y que yo también permití. Ha sido una etapa de sacudirme remoras, dos-tres pen... y vámonos mi vida, la vida es una”, agregó.

Para esta gira, ‘ La Guzmán ’ volverá a trabajar con la gente que la vio surgir al estrellato. “ Busqué en ese gran baúl de amigos y de gente que ha trabajado conmigo durante muchos años y hace mucho que no me reencontraba, por ejemplo; con Javier Larios y... estas son parte de las crinolinas con las que yo empecé mi carrera ”.

La cantante está involucrada en todos los detalles del show, incluida la escenografía: “ Santana me dijo: ‘Tú eres un brillante en bruto, déjalo así’. Entonces siempre tuve esa imagen y mandé a hacer este diamante hace seis meses y dije: ‘A ver cómo lo meto, qué hago con él ’”.

La cantante mexicana, alejandra guzmán, pisará tierras peruanas como parte de su gira ‘brilla tour’ el próximo 28 y 30 de noviembre, esposa de jesús alzamora rompe en llanto y confronta a paco bazán por burlas: "no eres nadie para burlarte de nuestra fe", andrés hurtado: difunden inéditos videos de su semblante durante los cortes comerciales de su último programa.

“We are excited, happy to celebrate one more day of life and career,” Alejandra Guzman told Billboard Latin ’s social media manager Ingrid Fajardo. “The truth is that I am very thrilled about this day, to be able to invite everyone into our madness.”

“We are exploding in love, in emotion, in energy, and in music,” added Fey. 

The two idols also mentioned at the time that they would release two singles together very soon. “Since we were given the chance to be onstage together, we both know and are clear on who we are,” said Guzmán. “We started to write and flow, we already have two songs together!” As of now, Billboard Español is unclear if the upcoming singles will also be postponed.

“Hits are eternal. The music becomes eternal when it becomes the public’s,” continues Guzmán, alluding to the name of the upcoming tour.

Both women are forces to be reckoned with in Spanish-language pop. Establishing herself as a kitschy electro-pop artist with a buoyant dance flair, Fey rose to stardom with her earwormy eponymous debut in 1995 via Sony Music Mexico. With her breakout LP, she scored a handful of soon-to-be-timeless hits, such as “Gatos en el Balcón,” “La Noche Se Mueve,” and the everlasting “Media Naranja.” Her success kept building into the following decade, where she explored other Latin rhythms, like the pop-reggaetón kiss-off of “No Te Necesito.”

In the ’90s, Fey reached two Top 10s on Hot Latin Songs, two on Hot Latin Airplay and five on Pop Latin Airplay, including a No. 1 for “Azucar Amargo.” To date, she has released a total of eight studio albums. On Sept. 25, 2020, the entertainer celebrated the 25th anniversary of her career with the English-language cut “The Perfect Song,” featuring Paul Oakenfold. 

Like the yang to Fey’s yin, in a way, the Mexican Queen of Hearts whipped up a storm with her electrifying pop/rock that was filled with revelry and rebellion with a tinge of seduction. Guzmán broke into the scene with her third album, Eternamente Bella (1990), and she continued to drop gems like Flor de Papel (1991) and Libre (1993) and well into the next decade. The hitmaker has achieved a No. 1 for “Volverte A Amar,” two No. 1s for her 2017 album Versus (in collaboration with Gloria Trevi), and for La Guzmán: Primera Fila . With over 30 million albums sold, the Latin Grammy winner is considered one of the most successful Mexican singers.

Gloria Trevi is a singer and songwriter hailing from Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. Born on the 15th of February 1968, Trevi is one of the biggest names in Mexican music, selling over 20 million records worldwide.

"Supreme Diva of Mexican Pop" may sound hyperbolic when one first hears it, especially considering it was a term coined by VH1 of all things. However, when it comes to Gloria Trevi, it’s a perfect fit. There are few musicians alive that have the kind of influence and reach that she does, with most of her studio albums going to number one on her native Mexico’s album charts.

By the looks of it, this was Trevi’s plan all along. Her life in music began when she was twelve, when she left the town of Monterrey, where she was born, to pursue a career in Mexico City.

By 1985 she’d met her manager Sergio Andrade, and had joined a girl group called Boquitas Pintadas. The group was short lived, only lasting three years before splitting, but the year after that happened, Trevi’s debut solo album came out. “¿Qué Hago Aquí?” (What am I Doing Here) and was an instant smash, eventually selling two million copies and scoring a number one single in the form of “Dr. Psiquiatra”.

Trevi was almost immediately being talked about as the Mexican Madonna, and not just for her sexually provocative image. She often talks and sings of the social issues that made up the day to day life of many in her home country and around the world, from homelessness, to prostitution, drug trafficking and violence against women. She became an icon to millions in a very short space of time.

Her career in music and film blossomed but in 2000 she, Andrade and backup singer Maria Raquenel Portillo were arrested on charges of corrupting minors. Come 2004 she was released from prison and was immediately back in the studio.

“Cómo Nace El Universo”, the resulting album, was another number one smash that put her career right back on track. Hers is a career and in a lot of ways, a life, that only the strong could make it through, and in Gloria Trevi we have an artist who can face those challenges, pull through and still create the best music of her life. We’re all better off to have her around, and if the opportunity to see her perform comes up, I urge you to take it.

You might not have ever heard of her, but Gloria Trevi is a big deal in the land of Mexico. Dubbed the “Supreme Diva of Mexican Pop” and “The Mexican Madonna” for her controversial lyrics, 46 year old Trevi has a huge back catalogue of 90’s Spanish language hits to her name.

Despite her pop background, Gloria’s live performance is nothing to be sneered at, with a full live band and backing dancers half her age at her disposal, Trevi graces the stage in a glamorous feathery leotard and thigh high boots.

She has the crowd in the palm of her hand as she charismatically chats with the audience for lengthy periods between tracks, with the conversation often focusing on how the public can help with the darker topics she touches on in her music, such as Prostitution and Drugs. By the time she performs her hits “Con los Ojos Cerrados” and “Pelo Suelto” the crowd are in a raucous mood, shouting out the lyrics before she has a chance to sing!

In recent years Trevi has been in the spotlight mainly for her legal issues than her musical output, but with a career spanning 25 years and with an upcoming biographical movie to be released, there’s no denying her staying power, you wouldn’t be surprised to see her performing in a venue near you.

One of Mexico's most recognisable and successful artists Gloria Trevi truly believes there is still very much space for show within pop music and the live performance. She has been delighting crowds around the globe for over two decades with her charismatic personality and carefully choreographed performances. One reason the fans come back again and again is the fact Gloria is such a lovely personality and has such brilliant rapport with her audiences.

It is hard to believe she is now mid-40s as she looks flawless onstage whilst she moves around like a performer half of her age. She has a huge amount of Latin hits from across her albums so fitting them all in tonight is a real mission but thanks to some creative medleys and well timed visual interludes Trevi manages it. Her vocal holds through ambitious dance sections and after two hours, she does not seem to be hardly breaking a sweat. She truly is so much more than a singer, she is a performer.

La 'Reina de Corazones', Alejandra Guzmán, alista su llegada al Perú, donde ofrecerá dos conciertos, en Lima y en Arequipa. Como una antesala a su llegada, la mexicana envió un saludo a sus fans de la Ciudad Blanca. 

Los fans de la artista en Arequipa tienen la oportunidad, hasta este lunes, de adquirir las entradas a precio especial, según informaron los organizadores del esperado evento.

La rockera ofrecerá un concierto en Lima el 30 de noviembre y otro en Arequipa el 28 de noviembre.  

El concierto en Lima se realizará en Multiespacio Costa 21 y el de Arequipa, en el Jardín de la Cerveza.

En este reencuentro con el Perú, Guzmán interpretará temas clásicos como “Eternamente Bella”, “Yo te Esperaba”, “Hacer el Amor con Otro”, “Llama por Favor”, “Reina Corazones” y otros éxitos como “Día de Suerte”, “Volverte a Amar” y “Mi Peor Error”.
