Britney Jean Spears (born 2 December, 1981) - aka Britney Spears - is a recording artist and entertainer from Mississippi, US.

Britney Spears started performing at a very young age, by performing on stage productions and television shows. Then, in 1997, she was signed to Jive Records.

Spears was credited with leading the revival of teen pop in the late 1990s, she was said to be the most gifted teenage pop idol for many years. Her first album "Baby One More Time" became an international success, making her well known in the music industry. The album was released in 1999, followed by the album "Oops!... I Did It Again" in 2000. She had the best selling albums by a teenage solo artist at the time.

Britney did extremely well during her career and became a well known pop star, but in 2007 her personal life problems became public knowledge. During that year she released her fifth studio album called "Blackout", with such hits as "Gimme More" and "Piece of Me". Yet the same year Spears went into a drug rehabilitation facility for less than a day. The following night she shaved her head at a hair salon during her break down.

Spears admitted herself into other forms of treatment in the following weeks after her break down. The album "Blackout" went on to sell over three million copies.

In 2008, Britney went on her tour called "The Circus Starring Britney Spears", to promote her sixth album "Circus". The tour was one of the highest grossing global concert tours by 2009.

In March 2011, she released her seventh studio album called "Femme Fatale", which peaked at number one in the US, Canada and Australia. Its peak in the US tied Spears with Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson for the third most number ones achieved amongst female artists.

In 2012 she began to work on her eighth album called "Britney Jean", with the like of Will.i.am. The following year she featured as a vocalist on Miley Cyrus's song "SMS (Bangerz)".

Spears also renewed her contract with RCA and continues to record new music.

Britney Spears is a true performer; every aspect of her show is designed to entertain and delight her audience. She always has a varied set list that includes old favorites like 'Baby One More Time' and 'Oops' as well as new classics like 'Womanizer' and 'Perfume'.

The set(s) at a Britney Spears show are always over the top, and you can expect a lot of surprises. A single performance may include: rain, fire, smoke, moving set pieces and confetti.

For her Circus Tour (circa 2007), the audience was transported to a three-ring circus in every way! I loved the stunts and trapeze tricks!

Her Dream Within a Dream Tour (circa 2002) had eleborate set pieces and props, including a car!

The short-lived Onyx Hotel Tour was raunchy and sassy, much like the 22-year-old Britney at the time. It was cut short due to knee surgery.

Britney's Femme Fatale Tour (circa 2011) was action-packed, and ended with her literally flying across a screen of sparks wearing giant wings!

Her Piece of Me Tour (Vegas, 2013- ) is absolutely spectacular, with incredible sets, video, audio and TONS of surprises. It goes through five DIFFERENT phases, and ends in an epic dance number!

Britney Spears loves to perform and entertain. Every show also includes incredible dancers and absolutely stunning costumes. She often changes five or more times over the course of two hours ... each costume getting more and more elaborate as the show goes on. She will sparkle, enchant, and seduce the audience, depending o the song. Imagining what the costumes will be like is one of the fun parts of seeing her live - she always delivers and delights.

Finally, the Britney Army is the BEST group of fans a super star could ask for, and being surrounded by them at a live performance is awesome. We are kind, enthusiastic, and will dance the night away while singing along to our favorite Britney tune. Don't be afraid to say hello - we love meeting fellow Britney fans!

Britney Spears was and continues to be one of the biggest names in music of all time. She is the original pop princess, and watching her live is a once on a lifetime experience that is certainly not to be missed. Britney has a whole array of classics, the best of which are always performed at her shows. There isn’t a single person today who hasn’t heard of ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’, surely? Although Britney is not exactly known for her vocal skills, this barely matters when going to see her live. Her shows are a spectacular performance, with bright flashing lights and backing dancers galore. The costume changes are intense, with some outrageous outfits. And the set is incredible. For her Circus Tour, the entire stage was decorated like a circus with Britney as the ringleader: it was visually spectacular to behold. Classic hits such as ‘Toxic’, ‘Oops I Did it Again’, ‘Everytime’, ‘Circus’, ‘Womanizer’, ‘I’m a Slave 4 U’ and, of course ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’, were all performed and all received an incredible crowd reaction.

What can you really say about an icon like Britney Spears. The princess of pop has an imaginable amount of hits so her setlist could fill a show that lasted all night, yet she selects what she believes is her finest work and what will please her ever-loyal fan base the most. It is worth noting that Britney has not sung completely live in many years, this is just given fact so when you move past this and appreciate the experience that she gives to an audience, it becomes secondary.

The video interludes, the impressive dance routines, the light displays and the dazzling costumes all turn a Britney show from a simple gig into an experience. Then add into the equation mega-hits such as 'Gimme More', 'Piece of Me' and '...Baby One More Time' and you have a show that others will struggle to top.

Especially when it comes down the all out performance that is the finale of 'I Wanna Go' and 'Womanizer', the audience scream and sing in equal measure as this well trained pop star owns the stage in a way that only Britney can. A delight to watch and a master at work.

I love Britney Spears, so this may be a biased review, but I loved the show! From her first song, Work Bitch, to her last song, Till The World Ends, it was a great show. She changes outfits and scenes every couple songs, continuing to keep my attention for the whole show, even using a ring of fire for her performance of Circus. A couple of her most famous outfits we're on display in the entrance to the Axis theatre, which was fun.

I enjoyed hearing all of her songs and energy was great. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a great show in Las Vegas.

Goddess!!! What an incredible performer, she's still got it. I would forever see Britney live. I don't care if she has live vocals or not. She can dance her ass off and she looks amazing doing it! I am without words for the concert I went to last night.

I just went to go see Britney over the weekend. She was absolutely amazing! Definitely in my top 5 performers. She put on a very entertaining show and even performed with a surprise guest...Tinashe. Would totally recommend go seeing her!

Britney is lip-sync queen. This girl can´t sing and dance. I don´t know why she is famous.

But I am grateful, because I have seen it, and I think, who didn´t seen it, don´t believe it. It´s like watching DVD.

2017/2018 - Britney: Live in Concert [ ]

In March 2017, Spears announced that her residency show would be performed abroad as a world tour. The tour is scheduled to visit Japan, Israel, the Philippines, Thailand, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and China, with more dates expected to be announced in the future. This will be Spears's first time performing in the latter two countries. In April 2017, the Israeli Labor Party announced that it would reschedule its July primary election to avoid conflict with Spears' sold-out Tel Aviv concert, citing traffic and security concerns. She later announced the first time ever Hong Kong and Thailand shows. The tour's start and end date are currently set for June 3, 2017. It's expected that the tour will promote Glory , but will largely mirror the residency.

2011 - Femme Fatale Tour [ ]

The Femme Fatale Tour is the seventh concert tour by American singer Britney Spears , in support of her seventh studio album, Femme Fatale . It was officially announced in March 2011, with dates for North American venues revealed. The tour was initially planned as a co-headlining tour with Enrique Iglesias , but he canceled only hours after the announcement. The show is inspired by the concept of the femme fatales and femme fatales throughout the ages. The setlist was mostly composed by songs from Femme Fatale , although she included hits from previous albums for the fans. Fashion designer Zaldy Goco created the costumes. In July 2011, Spears announced plans of playing a South American leg in territories she either had never been to or had not played for a long time. Spears has named the Femme Fatale Tour the best show from her career.

2009 - The Circus Starring Britney Spears [ ]

The Circus Starring Britney Spears (commonly referred to as the Circus Tour ) was the sixth concert tour by the American singer Britney Spears to promote her sixth studio album Circus . Rumors of a tour arose as early as October 2007, after Spears released her fifth studio album Blackout; however, it was cancelled due to unknown reasons. The tour was officially announced in December 2008, with dates for American and British venues revealed. The stage was composed of three rings and set in-the-round to resemble an actual circus. Fashion designers Dean and Dan Caten created the costumes. A giant cylinder screen was set above the stage to showcase videos and backdrops. Effects were provided by Solotech. Magician Ed Alonzo joined Spears during the second act. The setlist was composed generally from her albums In the Zone , Blackout and Circus . Spears announced she would tour Australia for the first time in June 2009.

2007 - The M+M's Tour [ ]

The M+M's Tour was the fifth concert tour by American recording artist Britney Spears . Spears expressed interested to tour again as early as February 2006. She started rehearsing for a show at House of Blues venues in secret, and pulled out of a surprise performance on April 25, 2007, at Los Angeles nightclub Forty Deuce. After a marquee reading "The M+M's" at the House of Blues in San Diego, California , appeared in late April 2007, media sources identified the act as Spears, and the show quickly sold out. The tour began in San Diego and marked the first time Spears performed live since The Onyx Hotel Tour in June 2004.

The show featured Spears accompanied by four female back-up dancers performing shortened versions of five songs, including hits such as "...Baby One More Time" and "Toxic". It displayed choreographed dance numbers and only one costume change. During the performance of "Breathe on Me", a male audience member participated onstage. The opening performance received mixed reviews from critics. Some said that Spears looked happy and in great shape, while others deemed the show as subpar. Scalpers outside the San Diego venue sold tickets with a face value of $35 for prices between $200 and $500.

2004 - The Onyx Hotel Tour [ ]

The Onyx Hotel Tour was the fourth concert tour by American recording artist Britney Spears . It supported her fourth studio album In the Zone (2003) and visited North America and Europe. A tour to promote the album was announced in December 2003. Its original name was the In the Zone Tour, but Spears was sued for trademark infringement and banned from using the name. Spears felt inspired to create a show with a hotel theme which she later mixed with the concept of an onyx stone. The stage, inspired by Broadway musicals , was less elaborate than her previous tours. The setlist was composed mostly by songs from In the Zone as well as some of her past songs reworked with different elements of jazz, blues and Latin percussion. Tour promoter Clear Channel Entertainment marketed the tour to a more adult audience than her previous shows while sponsor MTV highly promoted the tour on TV shows and the network's website. In March, Spears suffered a knee injury onstage which forced her to reschedule two shows. In June, Spears fell and hurt her knee again during a music video shoot. She underwent arthroscopic surgery and the remainder of the tour was cancelled.

2001 - Dream Within a Dream Tour [ ]

The Dream Within a Dream Tour was the third concert tour by American recording artist Britney Spears . It promoted her third studio album Britney (2001) in North America and Japan. The Dream Within a Dream Tour was promoted by Concerts West , marking the first time Spears did not tour with Clear Channel Entertainment . On September 21, 2001, a North American tour was announced that kicked off exactly two months later after various dates were postponed. In February 2002, Spears announced a second leg of the tour. It was directed and choreographed by Wade Robson , who explained the main theme of the show was Spears' coming of age and newfound independence. The stage was designed by Steve Cohen and Rob Brenner and was composed of a main stage and a B-stage , united by a runway. Inspired by Cleopatra 's barge, a flying device was developed so Spears could travel over the audience to the B-stage. The setlist was mostly composed by songs from the supporting album, as Spears felt they were more reflective of her personality. Songs from her previous two studio albums were also included in remixed form by Robson.

2000 - Oops!.. I Did It Again World Tour [ ]

The Oops!... I Did It Again World Tour was the second concert tour by American recording artist Britney Spears . It supported her second studio album Oops!... I Did It Again (2000) and visited North America, Europe and Brazil. It marked the first time Spears toured outside North America. The tour was announced in February 2000, while Spears was in the midst of the ...Baby One More Time. The stage was much more elaborate than her previous tours and featured video screens, pyrotechnics and moving platforms. The setlist was composed by songs from her first two studio albums, ...Baby One More Time and Oops!... I Did It Again . Showco was the sound company, who used the PRISM system to adapt the show to each venue. Spears used a handheld microphone and a headset during the shows, while an ADAT was used to replace her voice during energetic dance routines. All of the equipment came from the United States.

1999 - . ..Baby One More Time Tour [ ]

The ...Baby One More Time Tour was the debut concert tour by American recording artist Britney Spears . It supported her debut studio album, ...Baby One More Time (1999) and visited United States and Canada. The tour was announced in March 1999, with dates released a month later. Tommy Hilfiger was chosen as the tour sponsor. An extension of the tour, titled Crazy 2K , was announced in December 1999. Tour sponsors of the second leg were Got Milk? and Polaroid . The concept and costumes were designed by Spears. The stage was changed at the beginning of the second leg to include pyrotechnics and special effects.

• It should be noted that Britney Jean was promoted by Britney: Piece Of Me , but since POM (Piece Of Me) is a residency, and not a tour, it's not counted in being promoted in that way.
• Also, it's not confirmed what album POM is supposed to promote, so the residency most likely promotes all of Spears' discography, rather than an actual album.
• The ...Baby One More Time Tour is the only tour by Spears not to have an official poster (aside from The M+M's Tour).
• The M+M's Tour is the first tour by Spears not to promote an album (since Blackout was released a few months after the tour ended), but rather serve as a comeback performance.
• " ...Baby One More Time " is the only song Spears performed on all of her concert tours (either original or remixed versions).

Naper Settlement on Thursday announced the 2024 Naper Nights lineup of music acts for concerts running June 14 to Aug. 17. The concerts take place at Naper Settlement, 523 S. Webster St. in Naperville, with parking in the city garage across Aurora Avenue. Listening to your favorite musician at home is fun, but there's nothing quite like the experience of singing along with them, and tons of more fans, live. And as luck would have it, 2024 is shaping up to be a massive year for some of the world's top musical acts, so chances are your favorite performer might be stopping at a city near you soon.

Ahead, we rounded up some of the biggest concert tours of 2024, ranging from Taylor Swift's mega-popular Eras Tour to Drake and J. Cole's exciting It's All A Blur Tour - Big as the What?—set to kick off this winter. You can also expect tour dates from classic icons like Stevie Nicks, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, and more.

1) Taylor Swift

Undoubtedly one of the biggest concert tours ever, Taylor Swift's Eras Tour will continue right through 2024. The international leg of the tour kicked off in Japan, where she played four shows in Tokyo. She'll also stop in Melbourne, Singapore, Paris, Madrid, London, Milan, and more before returning to the States to play in the fall.

There's nothing like seeing T. Swift IRL, but don't fret if you're unable to nab tickets—the Eras Tour movie is now available to stream from the comfort of your home.

2) Olivia Rodrigo

This is not a drill—"Drivers License" singer Olivia Rodrigo will be hitting the road on tour starting at the end of February. The Guts World Tour runs from February through mid-August and has dates in Nashville, Toronto, Chicago, and New York City, among others. Even cooler? Rodrigo will have a stacked list of special guests—like PinkPantheress, Remi Wolf, The Breeders, and Chappell Roan—with her.

3) Red Hot Chili Peppers

Did you hear the good news? The Red Hot Chili Peppers have extended their global tour through summer 2024. The buzzy stadium tour, which kicked off in June 2022, will now run until July 2024 and bring the California-based band to places like Los Angeles, Tampa, Toronto, and Salt Lake City.

4) Bad Bunny

It's fitting that "Monaco" rapper Bad Bunny titled his tour Most Wanted —it's slated to be one of the year's hottest tours. Planned to help promote his latest studio album, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana , Most Wanted will kick off in Salt Lake City on February 21 and run through May 26.

5) Billy Joel

If you haven't yet seen Billy Joel perform live, there's still time! The Piano Man has added more tour dates to his schedule, stopping in cities like Tampa, New York, Denver, and St. Louis this year. Even more exciting? He'll share the stage with fellow iconic performers Sting and Stevie Nicks for some of these dates.

Mitski recently announced that she's expanding her North American tour dates , and we couldn't be more excited. The months-long tour, which supports her 2023 studio album The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We, has a long list of stops, including Miami Beach, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and Paris.

There's nothing quite like a Madonna concert, that's for sure. The singer's Celebration Tour , which started last October, continues straight through the spring with dates in Seattle, San Francisco, Mexico City, and more. Besides her eye-catching sets, chart-topping songs, and impressive choreography, concertgoers also get a glimpse of the performer's fantastic costumes, which include looks from Versace and Jean Paul Gaultier.

8) Bleachers

The New Jersey-founded rock band, which is fronted by Jack Antonoff—known for producing albums for top acts like Taylor Swift, Lorde, and Lana Del Rey—not only has announced a new album but a new tour , too. The tour will start in the UK in March, ending fittingly in the band's home state of New Jersey in mid-June. 9) Nicki Minaj

Nicki fans rejoice: the rapper and singer might be coming to a city near you soon as part of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour. The massive tour will include performances in Brooklyn, Oakland, and Baltimore, with stops at Dreamville Festival and Rolling Loud California along the way.

10) Blink 182

Live out all of your nineties and early aughts pop-punk dreams with one of Blink 182's One More Time Tour dates. The tour, which supports the band's ninth studio album, One More Time..., will bring the trio to cities all over the globe, including Sydney, Santiago, Portland, and Boston. The tour's supporting act is Pierce the Veil, which is also worth checking out.

11) Stevie Nicks

The oh-so-magical Stevie Nicks continues her touring streak with a bunch of 2024 concert dates . Set to begin in Atlantic City, NJ on February 10, Nicks will visit a dozen cities throughout the U.S. this year, such as New Orleans, Omaha, and Chicago. "Let's keep this party going in 2024," the singer-songwriter posted on her Instagram in September to announce the newly added tour dates.

12) The 1975

The 1975 is showing no signs of slowing down. The British band, famous for hits like "Somebody Else" and "Robbers," has extended their 2023 tour through 2024. Titled Still...At Their Very Best , the 22-date tour will open in Glasgow on February 8 and conclude in Amsterdam on March 24.

13) Drake and J. Cole

Rap greats Drake and J. Cole come together for the It's All a Blur Tour – Big As the What? which is guaranteed to be a good time. Drake, fresh off his 2023 It's All a Blur tour with 21 Savage, is set to hit dozens of cities starting in February, many of which J. Cole will also be in tow for. Scoop up tickets ASAP, as Drake's shows are known to sell out.

14) Janet Jackson

Superstar Janet Jackson is also extending her 2023 tour, Together Again , into 2024 with dates in Anaheim, Austin, New Orleans, and Hartford. Even cooler? Jackson's supporting act is the 2000s southern rap legend Nelly.

15) Rolling Stones

If you've ever dreamed of seeing the Rolling Stones perform live in person, now's your chance. The iconic rockers, who released their studio album Hackney Diamonds this past fall, are returning on the road for a 16-date tour with shows throughout the United States and Canada. Concertgoers can expect a mix of new tunes and Stones classics.

16) Bruce Springsteen

Famous for countless listenable hits like "Born to Run" and "Glory Days," Bruce Springsteen is set to embark on a massive world tour this year with his band, The E Street Band. The much-anticipated tour will take the Boss and his crew to cities such as Phoenix, San Diego, Dublin, and Madrid, from March through November.

17) John Mayer

Be sure to catch John Mayer's solo tour this year, which will bring the guitarist and crooner to cities throughout Europe. This leg, an extension of his popular 2023 solo tour, will kick off in Stockholm on March 13 and finish in Dublin on March 29.

18) Shania Twain

Okay, this one is technically a residency , but we're excited nonetheless. Shania Twain, most known for her incredible outfits (her hooded leopard print look, anyone?) and hits like "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" is setting up shop in Vegas starting May 10. Twain's residency will take place at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood on and off throughout December 2024.

All good things must come to an end. The Eagles, known for "Hotel California" and other amazing rock songs, began their final concert tour this winter. It launched in Phoenix on January 20, with March 16 as its last date in the United States. Eagles fans won't want to miss this one.

20) Alanis Morisette: The Triple Moon Tour

Alanis Morisette joins forces with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts for their 2024 Triple Moon Tour , which has dates in North America and Canada. This tour is a great one to catch this summer, as it's slated to run from June through August.

K-pop boyband AB6IX have announced the dates for their upcoming 2024 ‘Find You’ fan concert tour, featuring concerts in South Korea and North America.

Today (April 25), AB6IX have revealed the South Korean and North American dates for their upcoming 2024 ‘Find You’ fan concert tour. It’ll kick off next month with a two-date performance at the KBS Arena in Seoul, South Korea on May 25 and 26.

The boyband will embark on the North American leg in July, which will feature concerts across the US, Canada and Mexico. It’ll kick off with shows in Toronto and Montreal on the 3rd and 5th of the month, respectively.

Thereafter, AB6IX will play a show at New York City’s Racket NYC venue, before heading down for a sole show at the Auditorio BB in Mexico City. Following which, the quartet will play concerts in Miami, Los Angeles, Denver and more throughout the rest of July.

Tickets for the North American leg of AB6IX’s 2024 ‘Find You’ fan concert tour will go on sale May 18 at 7pm EST via The K-Stage (the US and Mexico) and J&B Entertainment (Canada).

Madonna Talks Life on Tour With Her Kids: “Nothing Brings Me More Happiness”

Madonna has been clear from the beginning that The Celebration Tour is no mere “greatest hits” circuit. It’s more like an artist’s MoMA retrospective blown up into an arena tour showcasing her singular contributions to the culture. It’s also the Queen of Pop’s most deeply personal tour yet, paying tribute to her influences, mentors, parents, and the friends and collaborators she’s lost. Nowhere is that personal touch more apparent than the inclusion of four of her children in the show. Across 78 performances so far, Madonna has worked double-duty as mom with son David and daughters Mercy, Stella, and Estere along for the ride—each one getting their own moment on stage. Mercy accompanies her mother on piano during “Bad Girl,” while David duets with his mom on “Mother and Father” (which, apparently, required the young musician to work up a bit of confidence to do). Twins Stella and Estere meanwhile, show off their dance skills during “Don’t Tell Me” and a segment dedicated to ballroom.

Ahead of her final arena dates in Mexico and a historic (potentially record-breaking) free show in Rio de Janeiro, Madonna sat down to answer questions over e-mail about life on the road with her children.

Rocco performed on stage during MDNA , and Lola worked in the wardrobe department on that same tour. Your children always seem to be involved in some capacity with your work. How does that feel as a mother?

I have always been blessed with children who are interested in music, dance, and art. Starting from the top with Lola , who was not only an incredible ballet dancer and and a rhythmic gymnast, switching to musical theater and contemporary dance. Now she is a unique singer and song writer in her own right. When I go on tour, nothing brings me more happiness to know, we are all working on the same show creating the magic together. It would be boring if they were just traveling from hotel to hotel, and occasionally coming to watch the show.  Of course, I am also their mother so sometimes we get on each other’s nerves. We are a family of artists but are also a family and that’s what happens.

It seems like your children have been honing their talents for years. How important is it for you as a mother to make sure they take their art seriously?

Because The Celebration Tour is a retrospective of my life, I thought it made perfect sense to include all of my children still living with me in the show. As they all dance, and play musical instruments, and have been doing so for years.  David has played guitar since he was a child.  Mercy has played piano since she was eight and has been classically trained most of her life. Eventually, when I adopted the twins, they started to play piano and dance as well.  There is always an endless parade of music and dance teachers coming and going in our house. And then we add to that Djing as Estere showed a keen interest in learning. She started taking DJ lessons and took it very seriously.

Each of the children has their own moment in the show. Mercy James playing piano during “Bad Girl” was a highlight. Any back story on how that all came together?

I saw a strange poetic juxtaposition of hedonism, erotic exploration emerging into the light of Mercy, sitting stoically at her grand piano playing Chopin as she beckoned me towards her, making me think about the choices I have made in my life.  Singing “Bad Girl” was kind of a confession, not an apology, and I felt we had an unspoken understanding of what was happening.

Stella performs in “Don’t Tell Me,” which is a big number during the show. How was she with learning the choreography?

Stella, who I would say is my shyest child, comes alive on stage, and I love having her as my little cowgirl. But she happens to be an incredible fine artist, and I’m hoping that she follows in the footsteps of Rocco who after being a B-boy, skater, and graffiti artist has really come into his own as an incredible painter.

David singing a verse during “Mother and Father” was fantastic. Has he expressed any interest in following in your footsteps with a musical career? He had originally only played guitar at the beginning of the tour. Did it take some convincing to get him to sing?

“Mother and Father” is one of my favorite moments in the show because it gave me a chance to not only honor my mother and her memory but also to honor David’s mother and her memory. He has always wanted to sing and play guitar.  He loves being on stage. This is nothing new. I love that we both get to sing to our mothers. Much of the show is about motherhood, family, and the importance of that in my artistic life.

How did Estere get so into ballroom? Does she have any vogue mentors (aside from you)?

While Estere was learning how to DJ she became interested in ballroom competitions and just by luck, one of my choreographer’s assistants, Ivy Mugler, has her own ballroom house called House of Mugler.  She started taking Estere aside during rehearsals in another room, and within a couple of weeks she was doing death drops and spins and surprising us with her ability.  So, of course we had to turn that section of the show into Estere’s Ball.

Because this tour is a celebration of your entire career, did you kids learn or realize anything new about you?

I think what my children learned the most in this year of rehearsing and performing is that if you want to follow your dreams, you have to work hard for them.  And if all of them choose something different later in life, they will never forget this year of blood, sweat, and tears.

The tour just wrapped up its U.S. dates. With five shows in Mexico City coming up and the huge free concert in Rio, what’s going through your mind right now?

This show was created for an indoor arena. Transforming and adapting it to perform outdoors on the beach, with no roof in Rio is going to be quite an undertaking and full of surprises. God willing, we will pull it off, and it will be an experience they will never forget.

Megadeth announces North America tour, closing out with a Nashville stop

Megadeth has announced a 2024 fall  "Destroy All Enemies Tour" that will take them all across North America. On Sept. 28, the thrash metal band will end their tour in Nashville at the Municipal Auditorium.

The 33-show tour, produced by Live Nation, will feature support from Mudvayne and All That Remains.

The two-month tour will kick off on Aug. 2 in Rogers, AR before hitting cities in Texas, California, Nevada, Florida, North Carolina and more.

The band, comprised of vocalist and guitarist Dave Mustaine, bassist James LoMenzo, guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari and drummer Dirk Verbeuren, is known for songs "Holy Wars... The Punishment Due" and "Symphony of Destruction."

They most recently released their 2022 album "The Sick, The Dying...And The Dead!"

“Our ‘Crush The World’ tour has been a tremendous experience for the four of us,” said singer/guitarist Dave Mustaine in a statement.

“We are all playing tight, and that has made it possible for me to really focus on solos and singing, we are playing more songs than ever before, and we are closer to each other, onstage AND off. I’m excited to see Mudvayne, and All That Remains. Join us as we DESTROY ALL ENEMIES.”

Música Mexicana artist Carin León has announced his international “Boca Chueca Tour,” slated for this fall. León will kickoff the trek later this year after making debut appearances at both Coachella and Stagecoach .

The “Boca Chueca Tour” will hit major cities across North America and Europe, including a night at Madison Square Garden in New York City, two nights at the United Center in Chicago, Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto, and BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.

Following the North American leg, León will venture into Europe with confirmed dates in Madrid, London, Amsterdam and Paris.

“Embarking on this tour is an exhilarating opportunity to share my new music with fans throughout North America and Europe alike. Taking my songs and the vibrant essence of Música Mexicana to a global stage is truly an honor,” said León.

'Taylor Swift' bills would crack down on bot ticket purchases, inflated resale prices

Lansing — Michigan lawmakers on Wednesday introduced bills to crack down on the use of automated software programs snarling concert ticket sales and driving up prices for big name performers.

The legislation is similar to the so-called “Taylor Swift” laws recently passed in Arizona after tickets were gobbled up for Swift's Eras concert tour by automated bots that later resold the tickets for higher prices.

While there are laws at the federal level preventing the practice, they are rarely enforced, said GOP state Rep. Graham Filler, who sponsored the legislation with Rep. Mike McFall, D-Hazel Park.

“I’m trying to make Michigan a really unattractive state for these bots to do business,” Filler said. “It’s unfair to people, it’s anti-competitive, anti-capitalist, it’s anti-consumer.”

It's not clear that Michigan concerts have been plagued by the same problems seen in Arizona, but Filler and McFall said they want to take a proactive approach to prevent against a similar event.

The Event Online Ticket Sales Act would prohibit an automated software application from creating multiple IP addresses, email addresses or accounts to buy up tickets for an event that exceed the posted ticket limit. The entertainment events protected by the act include theater performances, concerts, exhibitions or sporting events that are open to the public.

The legislation also would prevent individuals from using software to disable a ticket seller's security measure or circumvent a waiting period, electronic queue or other sales volume limitation programs.

Violations of the act would be investigated by the attorney general and would be punishable by a civil fine of up to $5,000 per ticket. The attorney general also could seek to recover restitution.

“Michiganders are tired of these scalping bots who purchase and hoard tickets for resale, often pricing them out of reach for many hardworking families,” McFall said in a statement Wednesday.

The introduction of the legislation comes more than three years after the Michigan Legislature voted to repeal a 1931 ban on ticket scalping.

The 2020 law — passed after roughly six years of debate — repealed a state ban that was rarely enforced and left the door open to bad actor ticket scalpers who never had a ticket in the first place.

The repeal allowed individuals and businesses to scalp tickets so long as the businesses’ names and websites did not resemble the venue or event for which the tickets are sold. Ticket sellers, under the 2020 law, must have the ticket in their possession at the time of sale or inform the purchaser if he or she does not have the ticket 48 hours ahead of the event.

In the past 30 days, searches for ‘Taylor Swift Europe tour 2024 tickets’ have increased by 300% in the U.S., indicating that some people are ready to take a long-haul flight to see the wildly popular artist live, according to travel website Islands.com .

Concert-goers who head to Europe for their Swift experience may actually save more money in the long-run . Not only are ticket prices across the pond cheaper, but many European cities, like Warsaw and Lisbon, are also budget-friendly, offering inexpensive food and lodging.

To determine the most affordable Eras Tour stops, Islands.com researchers compared the cost of a two-night trip, including one cheap ticket on StubHub.com, two nights at a four-star hotel, six inexpensive meals, two five-mile taxi rides, and one domestic beer. However, researchers didn’t account for airline tickets or concert merchandise.

With safety at the top of travelers' minds, the researchers also factored in the city’s safety rating out of 100.
