Born on the 23rd of March 1986, Brett Eldredge is a country singer hailing from Paris, Illinois, USA. His debut release was in 2010.

Like many country singers, Brett Eldredge made his first impact in the music industry as a songwriter. He co-wrote the song “I Think I’ve Had Enough”, which appeared on Gary Allan’s 2010 album “Get Off On the Pain” when he was a mere 23 years of age.

By the middle of the year, he had a record contract with Atlantic Records, his first single came out in September and in October, he debuted at the mecca of Country music, The Grand Ole Opry. A rite of passage that every budding country star is honoured to go through.

However, his career didn’t truly take off until his third single “Don’t Ya”, came out in 2012. The single was a top 30 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, top five on the Hot Country charts and by September the following year, it had sold nearly 800,000 copies in the US alone. With that, Brett Eldredge had arrived.

2013 saw him open for Taylor Swift’s enormous Red Tour and his debut album was released the following fall. “Bring You Back” peaked at number two on the Country album charts and number 11 on the Billboard charts, and has sold a reported 120,000 albums in the US alone.

2014 saw him going from strength to strength as well, netting a Country Music Association Award for New Artist of the Year. Clearly, Eldredge is the country star of tomorrow, and his star is only going to rise further and further given time and experience.

Live reviews

If I must tell the truth, I happened upon Brett Eldredge by accident, but very glad I did! This is how it stated. With the windows down and my favorite country station cranked up a song came on called "Don't Ya" by an artist I'd never heard of, Mr. Brett Eldredge. I immediately fell in love with the song, ran home and downloaded the "Bring You Back" album.

I listened to Brett for months, I was hooked on this album. It was full of songs that either touched my heart or got me rockin' the the "Beat of the Music" I heard him singing "One Mississippi" in an online video and knew at that point he was an artist that I would enjoy seeing live.

Thankfully, a few weeks later I got notice of Brett playing a FREE show at a local casino in my area. Best part was, on top of this free show, he was offering a VIP package which included meeting him in person for a Q & A along with an acoustic performance backstage before the show.

From the moment Brett Eldredge walked into that room with his amazing smile and small town, country boy charm, it was apparent to me that Brett Eldredge was going to be one of my new favorite country artists. From a couch in this 10x10 room, he chatted with each of the fans for quite a while, answering questions, laughing and joking like he'd known us forever. He took a "poll" to see what song we'd all like him to play and "Beat of the Music" won hands down. Needless to say, when Brett picked up that guitar and started singing it was AMAZING! Truly an experience I will never forget and the concert hadn't even started yet!

He thanked us all for being there, signed a posted for each of us, and we each got to take our meet and greet photos with him. He even happened to notice that I was wearing a bracelet from my Billy Currington fan club and he told me he would be touring with Billy and Chase Rice on Billy's "We Are Tonight" Tour Spring of 2014. Knowing I would be at several of Billy's shows in the spring, I thanked Brett and told him I would definitely be seeing him again soon.

We took our seats and waited for Brett to come on and once he did it was non-stop energy, excitement, and incredible music. Brett told stories and gave the crowd insight behind each of the songs that he performed. He definitely had a great connection with the crowd. He had them up on their feet, dancing in the aisles. It is obvious that Brett Eldredge loves what he does and his extraordinary talent leaves you wanting more.

I've seen Brett several times since this first show and each time is more amazing than the one before. If you get a chance to see Brett Eldredge play, don't miss it. You truly won't be disappointed.....see ya there!!

With his striking looks and deep vocal, country music singer Brett Eldredge has no issue holding the attention of large crowds. Despite having only taken steps onto the scene in 2010, he has already scored a successful debut album and a hit single in the form of 'Don't Ya' so his tours are already of high acclaim and even higher demand.

He keeps the operation fairly minimalistic, standing proudly at the centre of stage with his own faithful acoustic and carefully selected accompanying musicians. There is a stripped back quality to the likes of 'Beat of the Music' which goes down well with the crowds as they join Brett in the already recognisable chorus. He smiles broadly and thanks them sincerely, explaining his new found fame is something of a surprise to him. There is no denying his music has been received superbly as the crowd sings along to almost every track lifted from 'Bring You Back'. It is of course 'Don't Ya' that is saved for the final bellowing singalong and it is the most energetic Brett plays his guitar all evening, with a career ahead of him the future looks bright for this musician.

I waited there from 1pm until 8:20pm when the show was supposed to start at 8. Some guy comes running out and says we’ve decided for your safety the show is cancelled and then ran off stage. We were then all forced out by yelling and screaming security guards unable to comprehend what has just happened. It’s understandable that they needed to cancel the show. The weather was terrible. I just feel like the way they went about it was absolutely inconsiderate and rude.

Amazing show. From the very start Brett had so much energy and enthusiasm it was just infectious, you couldn't help enjoy yourself. Brett held the audience attention for the whole show, the upbeat songs the whole crowd joined in and for the ballads he sang you couldn't help be moved by his sincerity and feeling. Would definitely recommend and would be first in the queue if he announces another show in London. 5 stars simply brilliant.

Brett Eldredge and Glow. Wow! He is so down to earth and true. You can’t help but to love him. His voice is so pure, soothing to the ears and calming to the soul. He does not disappoint in a live performance. His love for making music shines through on stage. The First Noel a cappella literally brought me to tears. So raw and real.

Brett was Support for Blake Sheltons Country Freaks show in St Louis. What a great performance and stage presence as well as voice he has....He will be headlining soon...I suggest you catch him now...all of his songs you know, and again, his voice is spot on even in such a huge space. Kudos to his production team.

Best concert I've ever been to. I didn't want it to end. Sounds just like he does on his album. I've been to concerts where the lead singer doesn't sound the same. He has a great voice and there isn't a song that I don't like. I recommend going to see Brett in concert. It's worth e money.

Brett Eldredge Loves Turning into Mr. Christmas: 'This Is Who I Am, Too' (Exclusive)

After taking off most of the year, the celebrated crooner is now out making magic on his Glow Live Tour: 'That gives me purpose'

brett eldredge uk tour 2023

Evan Mattingly

There’s nothing better than Brett Eldredge 's holiday music to put you in the spirit of the season — but how does the man himself turn into Mr. Christmas before hitting the stage for his annual Glow Live shows ?

Eldredge reveals he has his tricks. Such as putting on one of his swanky (and sexy) velvet tuxedos. “It feels like a superhero cape sometimes,” says the 37-year-old crooner.

And he makes sure his backstage quarters are fully decorated for the holidays. “I’ve got Christmas trees in the dressing room,” he exults. (Note the plural.)

And in that dressing room, he keeps his favorite holiday movie, White Christmas , always running on repeat. (Though forgive him if he fast-forwards through “Choreography.” “I’ve never really understood that part,” he allows. “I’m like, this is not Christmas!” He’s right. IYKYK.)

He also takes the time to meditate on his own favorite Christmas crooners and what made them legends — the charm of Bing Crosby , the Dean Martin swagger, Frank Sinatra 's classiness and Nat King Cole 's warmth.

“I just feel so lucky, in this world today, to keep that tradition going and make it my own,” says Eldredge, who launched this year’s edition of the Glow Live Tour last weekend in Nashville.

But, of course, what puts him in the mood the most is the big, delicious sound of the songs themselves, culled from his two best-selling holiday albums, 2016’s Glow and 2021’s Mr. Christmas — music, he says, that he first dreamed of performing when he was a kid growing up in tiny Paris, Illinois.

A country artist 11 months out of the year, Eldredge says his Mr. Christmas alter-ego is “a huge part of who I am. This is who I am, too.”

That part first peeked out in public about a decade ago when he invited about a hundred friends to a Christmas show in a basement club in Nashville. The release of Glow a couple of years later quickly inspired the live show, complete with a Big Band orchestra to copy the album’s sound. One show expanded to a tour, which has now grown to 14 dates in nine cities over a whirlwind 28 days.

Eldredge has his eye on even more expansion. “I always want a lot of my fans to see it,” he says, “and there are only so many nights you can do, so we probably will try some arenas at some point.”

At the same time, he adds, he’s keen on protecting the show’s intimacy: “There’s a certain magic to these shows that I want to keep in there. A Glow show just makes you feel so connected. It feels like everybody’s on the same page in a world that sometimes feels not on the same page at all. When you get everybody together, and you have this music and this spirit in the room, it’s just so powerful. And that gives me purpose. I need this. The memories we’re creating are yours and mine and all of ours together.”

By now, his holiday fans have come to expect him to sing certain songs, which makes devising a set list a particular challenge. “I love every Christmas song I’ve ever recorded,” says Eldredge, who has a combined 28 tracks on his two holiday albums. “You can’t play every single one, but I’ve tried to get about as many in as I can.”

His staples include three originals he’s co-written: “Glow,” “Feels Like Christmas” and “Mr. Christmas.” Other must-sings, he says, include “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “Christmas Time Is Here,” “A Holly Jolly Christmas” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”

“And ‘O Holy Night’ — I gotta do that,” he says. “That was my childhood. That’s the song that helped me find my voice.”

This year’s audiences might notice something new in the show: an extra spring in Eldredge’s step. If so, there’s a reason. He took off most of 2023 to refresh, recharge, and work on personal growth.

“I’ve been on the road for 11, 12 years, and I started feeling like there’s so much more that’s important to me, as well as my music,” he explains about what he calls his “sabbatical” year. “I’ve really wanted to grow a lot of aspects of my life, and I think it’s important to take the time.”

With the luxury of months to fill, Eldredge says he was able to enjoy personal travel (notably to Italy and Portugal), work on his fitness (notching a half-marathon), and do volunteer work at Nashville's Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt . Most of all, he says, he got “to feel rooted in being home and in a regular routine. It’s been really beautiful. I feel like I’m starting parts of my life in some ways.”

Long open about his struggles with anxiety and panic attacks, Eldredge says he’s also been deepening his practice of meditation, including his recent participation in a mindfulness retreat that required three days of total silence.

“The hardest part wasn’t the silence,” he says. “The hardest part was sitting with your baggage — you know, the things that also make you who you are.”

Slowly, Eldredge says, he’s been learning to embrace it all. “I’m kind of a shy kid at heart,” he says. “I’m a creative spirit, and I’m very sensitive, and I’m starting to love that part of myself. I’m starting to learn that what makes me thrive is getting out in front of people, but it also makes me scared as hell. But that’s what I love to do, and I’m just learning that dance, and I feel good about that.”

Eldredge offers assurances that he’s been pouring his new energy and insights into upcoming (non-holiday) music, though he’s not ready to talk specifics. An important part of his sabbatical, he says, was songwriting, including trips to New York City to collaborate with songwriters there.

“I’ve been exploring some really cool stuff that I haven’t shared with the world yet, but it will be here before too long,” he vows. “It’s going to be a whole new experience for a lot of people. If you liked my music before, it’s gonna have parts that you love, but I try to push as much as I can to explore different ways and give you something different and new, so I’m excited.”

Eldredge wraps his Glow Live Tour on Dec. 21 in St. Louis. But don’t even try to rock Mr. Christmas off his focus now and ask about his own holiday plans.

“To be honest,” he says with a laugh, “I haven’t even gotten to that yet.”

Brett Eldredge Reignites ‘Glow’ Live Tour With 2023 Dates

It just wouldn't be Christmas without Santa, presents and Brett Eldredge . The country singer will once again embark on his annual Glow Live Tour in 2023, which has become a staple around the holidays.

“The Glow  Tour has now become a big, beautiful Christmas tradition," Eldredge says in a press release. "I love kicking off the season with all of you. I’m excited to return to some of my favorite cities and add some new cities including Detroit, Philadelphia and Milwaukee. To me, it’s definitely the most wonderful time of the year.”

The man who has become known as "Mr. Christmas" will kickoff a 14-date trek with three straight nights at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium starting the day after Thanksgiving. He'll then make his way to several other cities before wrapping things up on Dec. 21 in St. Louis.

It will be nice to see Eldredge back on the road — aside from four overseas shows, he has been fairly quiet for most of 2023. He tells Taste of Country it's by design.

"I've really been spending time reflecting on my life," he explains . "I've been touring for over 10 years straight, and I wanted to take some time to breathe and be around family and friends and grow relationships."

The "Good Day" singer has always been an advocate for mental health, and he famously went off the grid in 2019. During that time he took a long break from his smartphone and only used a flip phone for all communication. Getting away from the noise — even if just for a moment — has helped him rediscover a love for music.

"Through the time off, I've been writing a lot of music for fun. It's obviously going to be for a project, but I've learned that instead of trying to write something that has to fit into a box or whatever, I'm just having fun writing," he shares. "And it's allowed me to go to some deeper places that I'm not sure I would have been able to if I had not taken this time. Some different sounds that people haven't fully heard from me yet, and I'm ready to expand with all this music and it's really coming together."

Details about a new project from Eldredge have yet to be revealed.

Brett Eldredge Brings Critically Acclaimed Christmas Tour “Glow Live” To The Fox Theatre Friday, December 15, 2023

(DETROIT – September 18, 2023) – Mr. Christmas himself, the platinum-selling recording artist Brett Eldredge, will bring the holiday spirit this year with the return of his annual “Glow LIVE” holiday tour. A beloved Christmas-time tradition, the 14-date-run will make stops in major cities across the country, including the Fox Theatre on Friday, December 15 at 8 p.m. Comerica Bank is the exclusive presenting partner of the Fox Theatre.

Tickets go on sale Friday, September 22 at 10 a.m. at bretteldredge.com , 313Presents.com , LiveNation.com and Ticketmaster.com . Citi is the official card of the Brett Eldredge: Glow Live Tour. Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets beginning September 19 at 10 a.m. local time until September 21 at 10 p.m. local time through the Citi Entertainment program. For complete presale details visit www.citientertainment.com .

Eldredge shares about the upcoming tour: “The Glow tour has now become a big, beautiful Christmas tradition. I love kicking off the season with all of you. I’m excited to return to some of my favorite cities and add some new cities including Detroit, Philadelphia and Milwaukee.  To me, it’s definitely the most wonderful time of the year.”

Beginning as a single live Christmas show in Nashville, the critically acclaimed tour was inspired by Eldredge’s celebrated 2016 Christmas album, Glow. The timeless LP arrived at No. 2 on the country charts upon release and featured the Billboard Adult Contemporary and Holiday Music Chart-topping duet “Baby, It’s Cold Outside (feat. Meghan Trainor).” Named to “Best of…” holiday albums lists by People, Entertainment Weekly and The Tennessean, it was followed by his latest yuletide release, Mr. Christmas.
