Relive Rock’s greatest hits with The Hit Men – five fantastic musicians who have shared the stage with legendary artists, including members of Foreigner, Cheap Trick, Wings, Alan Parsons, Billy Joel, Sting, Elton John, Journey, The Who and Cream.   In this Ultimate Rock Concert, The Hit Men celebrate their associations with these mega-stars, share their first-hand experiences as eyewitnesses to rock history, and perform classic hits you know and love…  “Layla”, “Don’t Stop Believin’”, “I Want To Know What Love Is”, “Feels Like The First Time”, “Eye in the Sky” and many more… just the way you remember them!

In 2019, members of The Hit Men were recognized by the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville with the organization’s first-ever “Road Warriors Award”, given to honor “their years of dedication to the music and the countless miles they have traveled in delivering so many hits throughout the world.”

With backstage stories, multi-media and top of the charts classic rock hits from so many different rock legends, a performance by The Hit Men is like seeing 10 Rock Legends for the price of one!  Come hear the soundtrack of your life.  Come see The Hit Men.

The Hit Men are:

Steve Murphy:  A drummer/singer/producer/engineer who has been heavily involved in the NY music scene since the late ’80s. The artists he has performed and recorded with are some of the most famous and recognizable names in music over the last 60 years. He became passionate about music and performing at an early age. His first big break came in 1998 when he was asked to work as a vocalist in the studio with legendary producer Phil Ramone on a project for Elton John. His voice was featured on dozens of national commercials including The Army’s “Be All You Can Be” campaign. He was a member of The Alan Parsons Live Project touring over 40 countries. He has also toured with Jack Bruce (Cream), Eric Burdon and the Animals, Chuck Negron (3 Dog Night), Felix Cavaliere (The Rascals), Dave Mason, Todd Rundgren, Steve Augeri (Journey) and more.

Tommy Williams: A guitarist/vocalist who has worked with rock and pop music’s most influential names. He was the musical director and guitarist for Debbie Gibson, the music prodigy who burst on the Billboard Pop Charts at the tender age of 16.  Featured on her #1 hit “Lost in Your Eyes”, Tommy did two world tours with Debbie and music directed 3 of her best-selling albums. Tommy has also performed with The Hooters, Tommy Shaw of Styx, Steely Dan, Denny Laine of Paul McCartney & Wings, Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen and Robin Zander, and more.

Gregory Smith:  A bassist and vocalist who has collaborated with so many rock legends that it’s hard to keep track! His resume reads like a “who’s who” of classic rock, including work with Billy Joel, Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent, Alan Parsons, Blue Oyster Cult, Tommy James & The Shondells, The Turtles, Dokken, Denny Laine of Wings, Glen Frey of the Eagles, Chuck Negron of Three Dog Night, and more. Greg appeared in the film Wayne’s World as a member of Alice Cooper’s band, performing “Feed My Frankenstein”.

Mike DiMeo: A gifted multi- keyboard expert and singer. His years as the organist for Tommy James and The Shondells opened the door to his long list of collaborations, including performances with Deep Purple, Johnny Winter, and Bonnie Tyler, to name just a few.

Mark Newman: An ace stringman (guitar, mandolin, lap steel and dobro), Mark is the type of singer whose warm and expressive voice sounds like an old friend. Mark’s musical journey has taken him around the world several time, sharing the Stage with notables such as soul legend Sam Moore of Sam & Dave, John Oates of Hall & Oates, Jim McCarty of The Yardbirds, Bobby Whitlock of Derek & The Dominoes, and the inimitable Sam The Sham.

Oasis reunion tour 2025: tickets for all dates sell out after fans queue for hours

Hundreds of thousands of fans spent hours in huge online ticket queues ahead of the dates selling out

Oasis

Tickets for Oasis’ 2025 reunion shows have now sold out after fans reported that the Ticketmaster website “crashed” due to huge demand and hundreds of thousands more were stuck in online queues for hours.

  • READ MORE: You gotta roll with it: the rocky road to Oasis’ supersonic return

The Britpop band announced a huge run of comeback gigs on Tuesday (August 27), dubbed Oasis Live ’25. Set to take place next summer, the trek will see Liam and Noel Gallagher perform on stage together for the first time in 16 years.

Concerts were scheduled for Manchester’s Heaton Park, London’s Wembley Stadium, Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, Dublin’s Croke Park, and Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium. Mid-week, extra gigs were confirmed for Manchester, London and Edinburgh in response to “unprecedented demand” .

Tickets for the gigs went on sale this morning at 9am here for (UK), and here (Ireland). Ahead of the sale, fans online reported issues with both Ticketmaster’s main website and the app apparently “crashing” ahead of the sale as they received “503” errors – alongside long queues just to access the site, such was the demand for tickets.

Elsewhere, some fans complained about being kicked out of the queue after being mistaken for bots , while those attempting to purchase accessible tickets reported being unable to get through to the phone lines, despite some fans calling the designated number over 400 times .

The band announced tickets for all dates had officially sold out at 7pm today.

Oasis Live ‘25 UK and Ireland tickets have now SOLD OUT. Please be aware of counterfeit and void tickets appearing on the secondary market. Tickets can ONLY be resold, at face value, via @TicketmasterUK and @Twickets . pic.twitter.com/gWW5xDDzL8 — Oasis (@oasis) August 31, 2024

Ticketmaster told NME  in a statement: “The queue is moving along as fans buy tickets. As anticipated, millions of fans are accessing our site so have been placed in a queue. Fans are advised to hold their place in line, make sure they’re only using one tab, clear cookies, and ensure they aren’t using any VPN software on their device.”

Concerts are scheduled for Manchester’s Heaton Park, London’s Wembley Stadium, Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, Dublin’s Croke Park, and Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium. Mid-week, extra gigs were also confirmed for Manchester, London and Edinburgh in response to “unprecedented demand” .

The Dublin shows sold out fully earlier this afternoon , after going on sale at 8am – an hour earlier than the UK dates.

UK 🇬🇧 Tickets are on sale now! 🎟️: https://t.co/D4dgO7gFBK pic.twitter.com/ucnGox3y90 — Oasis (@oasis) August 31, 2024

Ticketmaster outlined its strict rules for purchasing tickets earlier this week – confirming that customers will only be able to order four tickets per household and card. Additionally, Oasis have partnered with resale platform Twickets where fans can buy unwanted tickets for no more than face value (plus booking fees).

Oasis have also warned fans that “people attempting to sell tickets on the secondary market” will have them “cancelled by the promoters” in a bid to combat tickets being sold at inflated prices.

However, many fans were also left frustrated today following Ticketmaster’s controversial dynamic pricing system whilst attempting to buy tickets .

One fan shared their attempt to get tickets to Dublin’s Croke Park show, writing: “In demand standing ticket” is just a standard standing ticket except double the price. No difference between Ticketmaster and touts.” When ticket prices were revealed by pre-sale for Ireland , tickets started at €86.50. However, this fan shared a screenshot showing the tickets were going for €415.50 each.

Ticketmaster have clarified on their website previously that tickets that are “market-priced” “may increase or decrease at any time, based on demand. This is similar to how airline tickets and hotel rooms are sold.” NME  has reached out to Ticketmaster for comment.

Oasis’ 2025 UK and Ireland tour dates are:

JULY 04 – Cardiff, Principality Stadium 05 – Cardiff, Principality Stadium 11 – Manchester, Heaton Park 12 – Manchester, Heaton Park 16 – Manchester, Heaton Park – new date 19 – Manchester, Heaton Park 20 – Manchester, Heaton Park 25 – London, Wembley Stadium 26 – London, Wembley Stadium 30 – London, Wembley Stadium – new date

02 – London, Wembley Stadium 03 – London, Wembley Stadium 08 – Edinburgh, Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium 09 – Edinburgh, Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium 12 – Edinburgh, Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium – new date 16 – Dublin, Croke Park 17 – Dublin, Croke Park

Ahead of the reunion, the band also unveiled a series of shirts to commemorate the occasion . Alongside their collaboration with Levi’s announced on August 28 , two new shirts have been announced exclusively to buy on Amazon Music.

The first is a black tee, with a photo of all five members of Oasis squeezed onto the back of a bus. You can see Noel and Liam at the front, along with Bonehead , Paul “Guigsy” McGuigan and Tony McCaroll visible in the back.

You can also cop a white tee with the band’s debut ‘Definitely Maybe’ and its cover emblazoned on the front in a bold blue colour. It’s most certainly a nod to the 30th anniversary reissue of their seminal album , which dropped yesterday (August 30). Both designs are available to purchase here for £24.

There is currently talk about which previous Oasis members could be joining Liam and Noel on the road in 2025 , with  co-founder Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs reportedly on board . Previous reports  claimed that “no other original Oasis member is expected to join the reunion” , and that “the members of Noel Gallagher’s  High Flying Birds will step in”.

Fans have also been revisiting the group’s final setlist from 2009  to get an idea of what they might play next year.  See NME ’s dream setlist for the forthcoming massive gigs here .

There are whispers of a potential new Oasis album too, and plans are now “underway” for further concerts outside of Europe .

In other news, Oasis have ruled out a headline performance at Glastonbury 2025  and will not be appearing at “any other festivals next year”.

Oasis Live ’25 is reportedly set to make an eye-watering £400million , and will follow the extended ‘Definitely Maybe’ 30th anniversary reissue , out yesterday (Friday August 30).

Tucker Carlson takes his show on the road for a 16-day cross-country tour

Tucker Carlson

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson , who ignites controversy with incendiary comments about race, immigration and LGBTQ rights, among other issues, is taking his show on the road next week for a 16-day cross-country tour that will feature a slate of Donald Trump loyalists and right-wing provocateurs.

Among the guests scheduled to appear on stage with Carlson at various stops are Republican vice presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance, Donald Trump Jr., Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green, former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and far-right pundit Glenn Beck.

“We’re going to be talking about real issues with real people,” Carlson said in a June statement announcing the live shows. “You’d better believe the Establishment will be losing their minds.”

Carlson, 55, is hitting the road two months before the presidential election and will visit several key battleground states, like Arizona, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Carlson did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

The tour kicks off Wednesday in Phoenix with English comedian Russell Brand, who recently converted to Christianity after facing multiple rape and sexual assault allegations.

In a video posted to his social media accounts last year, Brand denied the allegations and said his relationships had all been consensual.

He said he received “extremely disturbing” communications from a mainstream TV company and a newspaper “listing a litany of extremely egregious and aggressive attacks.”

“But amidst this litany of astonishing, rather baroque attacks are some very serious allegations that I absolutely refute,” Brand said.

British media reported last year that police in the U.K. had questioned Brand about the allegations but he was not arrested nor charged.

In June, before President Joe Biden dropped out of the race, Brand endorsed Trump on Fox News and attended the Republican National Convention in July.

Among the other states Carlson will visit are Florida, Utah, Oklahoma and Texas. His only stop in California will be in Republican-leaning Orange County.

“This is a brave new world," said Larry Elder, a conservative radio host who ran for California governor and, briefly, for president. "He is unleashed now.”

Elder will join Carlson onstage in Milwaukee, where Republicans recently held their national convention.

Carlson’s roster builds on his recent momentum within the Trump and Make America Great Again camp while fueling speculation of Carlson's own political ambitions.

His name has been mentioned within GOP circles over several election cycles, although Carlson has never formally announced an intention to run for office.

He was among a handful of insiders who worked behind the scenes to persuade Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to end his independent bid for the White House and endorse the former president, NBC News was first to report.

“It really is just rallying the troops and the diehard former Tea Party people, the MAGA people,” said Reece Peck, an associate professor of media culture at the City University of New York-College of Staten Island.

“They’re giving up on the independent, persuadable voter,” Reece said of Carlson’s lineup, describing his guests as “the stars of the old conservative media world.”

In July, about 15 months after he was fired from Fox News, Carlson returned to the beating heart of the GOP when he addressed Republicans at the national convention.

He took an almost reverential tone when talking about Trump despite once purporting in private texts to hate him.

In his 11-minute address to delegates, Carlson called Trump “a changed man” after an attempted assassination in Pennsylvania and praised the former president’s courage and selflessness.

“This was no longer a man. He was no longer just a political party’s nominee or a former president or a future president. This was the leader of a nation,” Carlson said, describing the event as “divine intervention.”

He also railed against corruption in Washington, called the Biden administration’s ongoing military aid to Ukraine a “middle finger in the face of every American” and said “Trump is the funniest person he’s ever met.”

Carlson was abruptly fired from Fox News in April 2023 after the network agreed to pay nearly $800 million to Dominion Voting Systems to avert a defamation trial related to baseless conspiracies it peddled surrounding the 2020 election.

“Tucker Carlson Tonight” had been a cornerstone of the Fox News lineup since 2016 and was one of the most watched shows on American cable news.

He pushed conspiracy theories and misinformation, including spreading falsehoods about the results of the 2020 presidential election and minimizing the severity of the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.

After being fired from Fox News, Carlson announced his eponymously named latest venture in December. The Tucker Carlson Network is a mix of news, documentaries and other streaming services. His podcast was ranked No. 2 Friday on Spotify.

In February, Carlson became the first Western-based media figure to interview Russian President Vladimir Putin since his forces invaded Ukraine in 2023.

“It’s important to remember who Tucker Carlson is. He comes from incredible wealth,” said MSNBC commentator Charlie Sykes. “This is not a middle class guy. His motivations are not the same as the person who just lost his job. He wants to be relevant and have a bit of a revenge.”

Carlson’s father, a journalist-turned-ambassador, married an heiress to the Swanson food fortune. Despite his posh upbringing, Carlson’s broad appeal made him a leading voice in the modern conservative movement.

Since his departure from Fox News, Carlson appears to have further stretched his reach through streaming services that helped personalities like Joe Rogan shoot to stardom.

“Here is someone who really knows how to walk in both worlds,” said Christina Bellantoni, professor of journalism at the University of Southern California. “He’s a personality who can make money delivering to crowds. He’s adaptable.”

2024 FedEx Cup standings, schedule, leaderboard, prize money, purse for Tour Championship, FedEx Cup Playoffs

Your one-stop shop for everything you need to know throughout the 2024 fedex cup playoffs.

tour-championship-trophy-2023-g.jpg

Following an exciting regular season, the PGA Tour hosts a three-tournament postseason, the 2024 FedEx Cup Playoffs, which concludes with a massive Tour Championship where the majority of the grand total $100 million purse is dished out to golfers. In fact, the $25 million top prize is tied for the largest payout on the PGA Tour this season with the Players Championship.

Only 70 golfers advanced to the first round of the playoffs, the FedEx St. Jude Championship, same as last season. With 40 of those players now eliminated following the BMW Championship, the field has thinned in terms of the best golfers in the world able to compete for the league's top prize. There's plenty of star power still remaining, though, with Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele atop the standings and other significant players like Rory McIlroy, Hideki Matsuyama, Collin Morikawa and Wyndham Clark in contention.

For Scheffler, a FedEx Cup win would be his first, but it would also serve as a feather in his cap on the back of a stellar season that already includes six PGA Tour victories and an Olympic gold medal. The same goes for Schauffele, a two-time major championship winner this season.

Let's take a closer look at what has occurred and what we can still expect from this year's festivities.

2024 FedEx Cup Playoffs schedule

The top 70 in the FedEx Cup standings, via points accumulated throughout the year, played in the St. Jude Championship with 50 competing in the BMW Championship prior to the field being trimmed for the final time.

All three events are 72-hole, stroke-play tournaments, though the fields gradually get smaller as the playoffs roll on. The points change, too, as everything is quadrupled. During regular-season events, most winners receive 500 FedEx Cup points for finishing first at tournaments (in a handful of events, 600 points went to first place). The winners of the first two FedEx Cup Playoffs events will instead receive 2,000 points each. The point boost goes for every slot on the leaderboard: 300 for second becomes 1,200 and so on.

Only seven golfers surpassed the 2,000-point total during the entire regular season: Scheffler, Schauffele, McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, Wyndham Clark, Ludvig Åberg and Sahith Theegala. Scheffler opened these playoffs with nearly a 3,500-point lead on third-place McIlroy -- who has since fallen off the pace -- while Schauffele himself was 1,500 points up on the rest of the field.

Winners are disproportionately rewarded and deservedly so given this is the postseason. This provides the opportunity for golfers to go on a hot streak and rocket up the FedEx Cup standings like Hideki Matsuyama and Keegan Bradley did over the first two weeks.

The top 50 in the FedEx Cup standings after the St. Jude Championship move on to the BMW Championship. Then the top 30 after that move on to the Tour Championship.

2024 FedEx Cup standings

Scheffler and Schauffele are having extraordinary seasons. They rank No. 1 and No. 3 on the all-time single season money list at $29.2 million and $18.4 million, respectively, following the second playoff event. Those numbers are officially locked in as money from the FedEx Cup does not count toward a player's official money.

Here's a look at the top 30 in the standings following the BMW Championship.

Matsuyama made a move to third by winning the St. Jude Championship. Bradley was the big mover at the BMW Championship as he barely got into the second playoff event but is now in fourth as the Tour Championship begins.

2024 Tour Championship format

Heading into the Tour Championship inside the top five or top 10 in the FedEx Cup standings is important because of how scoring is dispersed. Whoever is first in the FedEx Cup standings after the BMW Championship starts the Tour Championship at 10 under, and the event is played under normal scoring conditions from there.

With so much money at stake (again, $25 million for first place), those margins become more meaningful than even a normal week. The eventual winners of the four FedEx Cups played under this format have all started in the top seven at the Tour Championship.

  • 10 under -- Scottie Scheffler
  • 8 under -- Xander Schauffele
  • 7 under -- Hideki Matsuyama
  • 6 under -- Keegan Bradley
  • 5 under -- Ludvig Åberg
  • 4 under -- Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, Wyndham Clark, Sam Burns, Patrick Cantlay
  • 3 under -- Sungjae Im, Sahith Theegala, Shane Lowry, Adam Scott, Tony Finau

  • 1 under -- Billy Horschel, Tommy Fleetwood, Sepp Straka, Matthieu Pavon, Taylor Pendrith

Last year, Viktor Hovland won the BMW Championship and then took the Tour Championship and FedEx Cup over Schauffele. Both players shot the same 19-under score at East Lake to end the year, but Hovland started the tournament at 8 under while Schauffele only started it at 3 under so Hovland easily won by five and took home the first prize of what was then $18 million.

Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher shaking hands on stage

Fifteen years after Oasis split up, feuding brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher are putting the past behind them as they announce the band’s highly-anticipated reunion – and here’s how to get tickets .

The Wonderwall hitmakers announced the explosive news earlier today with a confirmed UK and Ireland tour in the summer of 2025.

Their social media post came alongside the caption: ‘The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.’

Noel, 57, and Liam, 51, have been publicly at odds for years and by their break-up in 2009 they were no longer on speaking terms – making the likelihood of a reunion simply a pipe dream in fan’s minds. Until now.

After Liam dedicated Half the World Away to his brother at Reading Festival and called him the ‘greatest songwriter’, there was no doubt that something had shifted between the two.

So without further ado here’s everything you need to know about getting your hands on the coveted tickets.

When will Oasis Live 2025 tickets go on sale?

As the chart-topping duo – behind hits such as Champagne Supernova and Don’t Look Back In Anger – shared on social media, tickets will go on sale on Saturday, August 31 at 9am BST .

Dublin tickets will be on sale exactly one hour earlier, on the same day.

For the lucky people in possession of a pre-sale code, the pre-sale tickets went on sale between 7pm and 10pm BST on Friday, August 30 .

How much will Oasis tickets be?

Official ticket prices for the Oasis tour have been released on Gigs and Tours site, varying depending on location.

London, Cardiff and Edinburgh – Pitch Standing tickets will be priced at £150. Seating around the arena is spread across five bands starting from £73. Other bands include £100.50, £128, £166.50 and the most expensive, £205. Premium package costs £215.

Manchester – Standing is priced at £148.50 with packages ranging from £268.50 to 453.50.

Finally, the Dublin shows will have a starting price of €86.50.

How do you buy Oasis resale tickets?

Now the general sale is done, unlucky fans may be looking for tickets that get resold – a minefield for getting tripped up by scams and extortionate prices.

Oasis has confirmed there will only be two websites that will platform resale tickets, Ticketmaster UK and Twickets . Crucially, tickets will be resold at face value.

‘Tickets appearing on other secondary ticketing sites are either counterfeit or will be cancelled by the promoters,’ the band confirmed on social media.

This means fans should not attempt to buy tickets through any other site, no matter how tempting.

How many Oasis tickets can you buy?

The Oasis website has confirmed people are ‘ limited to four per household , per show’ so for those attempting to buy more – you should have more people online using separate accounts and ready to buy.

The same rules apply for the pre-sale.

How to get Oasis tickets

Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher

After Oasis announced the 2025 tour, the official website crashed with people flocking to check for tickets – which have not yet even gone on sale. If the initial frenzy is anything to go by, it won’t be an easy task.

Fans who want to guarantee a spot in a stadium next summer should sign up for the official ticket agents and only purchase through these sites.

With pre-sale now over, the general sale goes live at 9am BST on August 31 (or an hour earlier at 8am IST for those aiming for the Dublin show).

For UK-only ticket-buyers general sale tickets can be bought via Ticketmaster , Gigs and Tours and SEE Tickets .

For Edinburgh show buyers you can also source tickets at Gigs in Scotland while tickets for the Dublin show can be found at Ticketmaster .

Oasis Tickets General Sale Times

Cardiff, Principality Stadium – Saturday, August 31, at 9am BST

Manchester, Heaton Park – Saturday, August 31, at 9am BST

London, Wembley Stadium – Saturday, August 31, at 9am BST

Edinburgh, Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium – Saturday, August 31, at 9am BST

Dublin, Croke Park – Saturday, August 31, at 8am (Irish Standard Time)

As recommended by the official website, those hoping to be in with the best chance should ‘sign up to the official ticket agents ahead of time as the websites will be very busy during the official on sale.’

This means you can enter your card details early and avoid adding an extra step in the heat of the moment.

In this vein, for those planning to purchase via Ticketmaster, we would recommend downloading the app ahead of the sale to avoid any website issues on the day.

Although sales will start on the hour, it doesn’t hurt to log on early although don’t be alarmed when the page automatically refreshes as tickets go live.

We would also recommend making sure no one else in the household is using the internet at the same time, or, if you are prone to unreliable Wi-Fi, pre-emptively switching to mobile data.

Where To Buy Oasis 2025 Tickets

Tickets for the upcoming Oasis tour, taking part from July 4 and kicking off at Cardiff Principality Stadium to August 17, finishing at Dublin Croke Park, will be on sale 9am (UK) and 8am (IRE) Saturday August 31 .

  • Ticketmaster
  • Ticketmaster.ie

Have your purchasing card at the ready and make sure you have already made a decision on which venue, date and number of tickets you want to buy.

If the site crashes, which could be a risk, don’t panic, make sure you maintain a strong internet connection and let the site auto-refresh when it is fixed so you don’t risk losing your space in the queue.

Then you’ll be plunged into a queue, likely of thousands, all wanting the same thing. Stay alert and ready to go as soon as you are put through.

Next, you need to have a game plan.

Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher on stage

The Oasis website has confirmed people are ‘limited to four per household, per show’ so for those attempting to buy more – you should have more people online and ready to buy, following the above guidelines.

The Ticketmaster website also outlines a recommended strategy including having a backup plan ready to go if your ideal venue and date are no longer available.

Also, save time during the sale by searching for the Best Available ticket.

And, ‘don’t risk looking like a ticket bot’ by staying within one browser window and on a single device and not refreshing your browser multiple times for multiple ticket searches.

Elsewhere, Gigs and Tours warns that ‘when the site reaches extremely heavy capacity, we put a temporary queue in place in advance of customers reaching the booking page.’

The page will automatically refresh when you are ready to be sent through to the actual booking page.

Liam and Noel Gallagher looking moody in a black and white photo

This is likely to happen with Oasis, given their popularity, so make sure to follow the procedure laid out by the website.

For those with O2 and Virgin Media Broadband, although the network offers thousands of advance sales for shows, unfortunately, Oasis will not be in that number.

How to maximise your chances of bagging Oasis tickets

  • Register to the official ticket agent of your choice ahead of the big day
  • Make sure you have a stable internet connection and have charged all your devices – you could be in it for the long haul.
  • Already have a date and venue picked out (and a back-up one in case the original show is already sold out)
  • Follow ticket agent guidelines to avoid being kicked out as a bot
  • Watch out for scammers

Of course, sometimes things don’t always go to plan and people may end up returning tickets meaning hope is not totally lost if you can’t buy tickets first time around.

The Oasis website tells fans to only use the official resale partners  Twickets  and Ticketmaster. Any unauthorised resale could result in tickets getting cancelled.

More details on how to properly procure a resale ticket can be found here.

How to avoid getting scammed on Oasis tickets

As the battle for tickets grows more and more competitive it’s easier for fans to fall susceptible to online scams in desperation to grab tickets.

Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher in dark sunglasses

According to Barclays ticket-buyers who fell victim to fraudsters lose out on an average of £243 each which makes a recipe for disaster.

Dan McLoughlin, Fraud and Security Specialist at Lynx offered further advice on how to avoid ticket scams.

He explained that ‘if an offer seems too good to be true, it probably is’, urging fans to be wary of places offering ‘large discounts’.

Fans should also keep an eye out for fake URLs, avoid paying for tickets by bank transfer on an unknown site, and only buy from trusted sources as detailed above rather than through social media.

Oasis announce extra UK dates for reunion concert tour

Liam and Noel Gallagher have announced extra Oasis dates at Wembley Stadium, London, Heaton Park in Manchester, and the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, following "unprecedented demand" for a reunion tour ticket pre-sale.

Oasis have announced three extra concert dates in the UK for their reunion tour next year, and revealed details of how much tickets will cost.

The band said they were adding the extra gigs due to "unprecedented demand" following registration for a ticket pre-sale.

They have also extended the deadline to confirm entries to the pre-sale, to 10am UK time on Friday, after worry from some social media users that they had not received responses. Fans who are successful in the ballot will be contacted by 5pm tomorrow with access information.

Noel and Liam Gallagher confirmed the band's reunion on Tuesday morning , following weeks of speculation. The comeback comes 15 years after Noel quit the band, spelling the end of Oasis , until now.

The additional gigs mean the band will now play five Wembley concerts, five in their home city, and three in Scotland - on top of two in Ireland and two in Wales.

The new dates are: 16 July at Heaton Park, Manchester; 30 July, Wembley Stadium, London; 12 August, Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh.

As with the initial gigs, the bulk of tickets for the new dates, following the pre-sale, go on sale on Saturday morning..

Due to a last minute surge in pre-sale ballot entries, a number of confirmation emails are still being processed and sent out. How much are tickets?

The new shows come after the band announced that some fans would be able to get their hands on tickets a day early through a pre-sale ballot - cue thousands of people rushing to register to be in with a chance .

A post on the Oasis social media channels said there had been an "unprecedented volume of entries".

Prices for the cheapest seats in London, Cardiff and Edinburgh range between £73 and £74.25, while standing tickets for the three venues will cost fans between £150 and £151.25, according to Manchester-based promoter SJM Concerts, which runs the website Gigs And Tours.

In Manchester, where only standing tickets are available, alongside a number of hospitality and luxury packages, tickets start from £148.50.

Before the announcement for UK shows, Irish promoters MCD said the price of both of the gigs in Dublin would start at 86.50 euros (£72.75), without booking fees.

The most expensive tickets available for Wembley are £506.25, which include a pre-show party and exhibition.

Fans have complained that hotels in the gig areas have already ramped up prices. One chain in Manchester was accused of cancelling a booking made prior to the reunion announcement - and relisting the room for a higher price .

When and where will the Oasis gigs take place?

Glastonbury rumours shut down

Ahead of the reunion announcement, some media reports suggested the band would be playing a record 10 dates at Wembley, as well as a headline performance at Glastonbury .

However, the band ended speculation about the festival slot, saying in a statement: "Despite media speculation, Oasis will not be playing Glastonbury 2025 or any other festivals next year. The only way to see the band perform will be on their Oasis Live '25 World Tour."

Plans are in place for further dates outside Europe, the band confirmed in the original announcement, but no further details have been released.

'The great wait is over'

Following weeks of speculation, both of the Gallagher brothers shared the reunion news on their social media sites on Tuesday, saying: "This is it, this is happening."

"The guns have fallen silent," Oasis said. "The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised."

Fifteen years after the band's break-up, the brothers were pictured together for the first time in years to mark the announcement, with the photograph understood to have been taken in London in July. It is not known whether they had met up prior to that.

Revealing details about why the reunion is finally happening now after years without speaking to each other, the band's statement said there had been "no great revelatory moment", but rather "the gradual realisation that the time is right".

Today marks the 30th anniversary of Oasis's debut album, Definitely Maybe - something they said must have been a "subconscious influence" on their decision.

Details of who else from Oasis's previous line-ups will rejoin them for the tour, or of other musicians in the pipeline, have yet to be confirmed.

They have not said whether there are any plans to release new music.

Amid concerns about touts and ticket prices, the band have partnered with Twickets as their official resale platform, "to ensure their 2025 UK tour tickets are resold for no more than face value and booking fees".

The Oasis website states: "Ticket resale is permitted at no more than the price you paid (face value + booking fees). Please only use the official resale partners www.twickets.live and Ticketmaster. Selling tickets through unauthorised resale platforms will breach these T&Cs and those tickets may be cancelled."

Let's Go

Why Schedule a Campus Visit?

You’re making an important decision. You’ve browsed our website, reviewed brochures and done your research. Still, getting a feel for campus can help you make your final choice. Take in the culture and our Moscow location, experience life in the dorms and dining halls and see where you’ll be learning. Begin to see yourself at U of I with a campus visit.

Confirm your initial impression. If research grabs your attention, a campus visit goes beyond. Determine if you feel at home as a Vandal and if a particular program of study is right for you. Use your visit or campus tour to meet professors and other students, narrow down your list of majors and make a definite decision once you receive your acceptance letter in the spring.

Make the Most of Your Campus Visit

You’ve heard this advice before — don’t just look at buildings. Instead, keep the following in mind whether you’re attending an event, campus tour or a virtual session:

  • When to schedule your visit: Check out our Moscow campus as students attend class, engage in research and go about their day-to-day lives as Vandals. Ideally, attend a tour before submitting your application, preferably in the spring of your junior year or early fall of your senior year.
  • Be ready to ask questions: Make a list ahead of time to ask your tour guide, admissions counselor and students you see around campus.
  • Consider multiple campus visits: Start virtually to get a feel for our campus. Then, to get a more personal perspective, consider attending an on-campus visit. Here, opt for a student-guided campus tour, and schedule in visits with schools or departments for programs you’re curious about.
  • Take notes: What makes U of I unique? How does being a Vandal resonate with you? Document your visit with notes and photos to reference later.
  • Prepare ahead of time: Avoid attending a campus visit on a whim. Instead, schedule your visit in advance, make plans for a college or program visit, explore our virtual resources, review a map to understand the layout of our campus and make travel arrangements. Additionally, continue your research to ask questions during your visit.
