Luis Miguel anuncia 10 fechas para octubre en la Ciudad de México

El “sol de méxico” tendrá varias presentaciones en la capital del país para poder despedirse.

Después de un año de que Luis Miguel iniciará su gira " Luis Miguel Tour ", misma que ha sido un éxito en cada lugar que ha visitado y ha llevado al cantante a varios países del mundo, recientemente se despidió de España; lugar en dónde el ‘Sol de México’ dio tres conciertos en Marbella y se despidió. Ahora regresa a México con 10 conciertos en la Ciudad de México .

Luis Miguel es uno de los artistas más rentables en todo el mundo con escuchas en Spotify de 11.5 billones. Logrando la venta total de boletos en el recinto que se presente; ahora volverá a la Ciudad de México para poder interpretar sus más famosos éxitos y fue por medio de redes sociales que el artista dio a conocer que tendrá 10 fechas durante el mes de octubre .

The Puerto-Rican born singer; Luis Miguel, has delighted fans since 1980 with powerful vocals, style and a natural charisma within the Latin genre.

As a young man Luis was made to watch and analyse everything related to Elvis, yes every recording, film and concert, including his music videos.

This prepared him as when he was 11, Luis released his first album through the Mexican branch of EMI, the album titled "Un Sol" would spark a tremendous career and lead to countless tours.

Miguel's 13th album; "Romance" has gone on to gain critical acclaim and wide popularity, setting many records and inevitably becoming extremely successful nationally. Released in 1991, it received good reviews all round. To promote the album, Miguel would set an event at the National Auditorium in Mexico City, a venue capable of holding up to 10,000. Within three hours of the concert going on sale tickets had become sold out, showing the true popularity this artist had gained.

Selling 400,000 copies in its first 10 days and spending 32 weeks at number one on the Billboard Latin pop Albums chart "Romance" then ended both years; 1992 and 1993 as bestselling Latin pop album.

In 1992 Miguel won three awards at the Billboard Music Awards.

The awards include: Best Latin Artist, Best Latin Album and Best Spanish-Singing artist.

As of today Luis Miguel has won five Grammy awards in the categories of: Best Mexican performance, Best Latin Male singer and various others. Alongside four Latin Grammy Awards.

2014 has seen the release of a brand new single titled "Deja Vu" which sounds triumphant and contains a sweet trumpet section which is met by the joyous vocals of the talented singer.

I personally think that there is nothing more appealing than a multi talented musician, and that is exactly what Luis Miguel is. His ability to blend various genres of music, from pop through to mariachi is what makes him one of the most successful Latino artists of this generation. Miguel has sold over 100 million records, making him one of the highest selling Mexican artists of all time, giving his nickname, El Sol De Mexico.

His career spans over 30 years, and I was dubious when I went to see him in concert that I may have caught the tail end of it, and not seen the greatest strengths of the artists. Well, I couldn’t have really been more wrong. Luis Miguel has most definitely still got it. The whole concert was super energetic, and he managed to keep the crowd engaged for the entire performance of over 2 hours! Miguel’s band were awesome, they played with him on all the up beat poppy numbers, and really added a whole new level to the show.

There was a short break in the middle of the show, and directly after, Miguel came to the stage along, and sat at the piano and played a few of his slower love ballads. This was really quite magical to just hear him and his voice on stage. A vulnerable moment he shared with us. I loved every moment of the show, start to finish.

Concert start time on ticket was 7:30pm. Amphitheater was packed, sold out event. Luis Miguel did not get to the amphitheater until 8:30pm or so. He came on at 9:36pm. I noted the time because by this time we were obviously anxious for him to come on. When he came out he was having problems with the audio and seemed like lighting too. Twice he walked off the stage, it seemed he was mad about the technical difficulties.

Typical Luis Miguel he does not interact with the fans instead prefers to look at the screen where he can be checking himself out. He does get the crowd singing and on many songs the crowd sings more than him. I pay to hear him sing not the crowd. It seemed he mumbled some of the words even though he’s got the lyrics running on a monitor located below the screen he kept checking himself on. Needless to say, I was frustrated for half the show. And I say half the show because he did get better once the Mariachi came out and he sang very nicely.

Will I pay to see him again? No. I have no interest in paying for an expensive karaoke where the crowd sings more than the artist.

An icon in Latin America, Luis Miguel has enjoyed a commercially successful career that now spans over three decades. His fanbase continue to flock to his shows in record numbers proving that the ageing singer still has a great deal of relevance in the current market.

A man who seems to believe in both quantity and quality, he has released 22 albums over his career so filtering them into a setlist is clearly a difficult task. This sees Miguel often performing over thirty tracks an evening, creating melodies of some of his best known work. The fans seem to enjoy every carefully considered choice as they scream, cheer and sing at deafening levels. They cheer even louder when the man himself acknowledges them and thanks them profusely for the support. He wraps the show up after hours of dancing, singing and above all entertaining with energy that would put performers of half his age to shame.

It was great to see him perform live again. The last time I saw him in concert was over 15 or more years ago in NYC. He has changed and so has the quality of his voice after all these years and that of course is natural and expected. I had great seats and he sounded wonderful. The only thing I thought was a bit odd was that it seemed many times he didn't face out towards the audience. He was turned more towards the side of the stage or towards the musicians. Although that happened more towards the first part of the show. He faced the audience more towards the middle and end of the show. I don't know if others noticed this but I did. Either way it was great to see him sing again and I will also be going to see him in December 2015 in North Carolina.

No matter whether you are a huge fan of a Luis Miguel or just someone that was there to satisfy curiosity this fantastic artist always delivers a VIP experience. The quality of the show, the vocal arrangements, the improvisation, the variety of his repertory is superb. Takes you in a journey from his origins, his soft ballads, boleros, rancheras, pop, folklore. You will sing, dance and be in awe with the versatility and pristine performance of this talented man. Even though He was almost an hour and a half late I would have waited longer just to be able to enjoy this concert.

His voice is magnificent. Reviews from the concert the night before were knocking his appearance saying he's fat. He is so not fat…he looks good. He's not a kid anymore so he's not skinny but I wouldn't call him fat. He is like fine wine. He is very handsome and exudes class. I do wish he had done more of his older stuff; boleros. The only thing I did not like is the stage lights going out after every song. He needs to engage the audience more. Nevertheless, it was very enjoyable.

It's pretty pathetic when an artist of this caliber makes his packed house wait for one hour and 20 minutes before he showed his face and then didn't so much as utter a word of apology or gratitude of our patience. This reeks of disrespect and while the show was quite entertaining at various times, this artist's energy and self-centeredness will prevent me from ever buying another ticket to one of his shows...

He was Absolutely Amazing. Sang all the good songs, had the boleros with a piano, old & new and Mariachi songs.

Basically a little bit of everything... Je was engaging and in a gold mood, seemed to be enjoying putting on the show. definitely worth traveling for ❤0

This was one of the best concerts from Luis Miguel. He was fabulous! Su voz no ha cambiado sigue siendo el mejor. El lugar espectacular. Mickey mi idolo. Canto un poco de todo, desde sus inicios hasta lo nuevo. Espero verlo pronto aqui en Washington DC.

He is an extraordinary singer and still got what it takes to be a great performer. The show was supposed to start at 8:30pm but it began at almost 10pm which was not nice for us, the audience, but still it was worth the wait. 5 thumbs up

Miguel’s 2023 tour officially kicked off Aug. 3 in Buenos Aires, Argentina , with the singer performing over 50 songs from his vast catalog, including timeless hits such as “La incondicional,” “Ahora te puedes marchar,” and “Hasta que me olvides.” 

The highly-anticipated tour is Miguel’s first outing since his 2018-2019 México por Siempre tour, which grossed $101.4 million and sold 965,000 tickets across 116 shows, according to Billboard Boxscore. It was the highest grossing  Latin  tour in Boxscore history until last year when  Bad Bunny ‘s El Último Tour del Mundo and World’s Hottest Tour surpassed it.

The México por Siempre tour coincided with the first season of Luis Miguel: The Series , based on Miguel’s life and premiering in April 2018. The second and third seasons of the series streamed on Netflix in 2021, in the middle of the pandemic, heightening interest in Miguel and his catalog, despite the fact that he hasn’t released a studio album since 2017’s ¡Mexico Por Siempre !

Luis Miguel Tour 2024 tickets go on presale Thursday, Aug. 10 at 10 am ET, and all tickets will go on sale Aug. 11 for the U.S.

Luis Miguel Prepares For North American Tour Dates In 2024 – Setlist & Ticket Info

The year may be coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean Luis Miguel ‘s tour is.

After a month-long tour in South America, Miguel began the North American leg of the Luis Miguel 2023-24 concert tour on September 15, 2023, in Las Vegas at Dolby Live.

As he finishes off his 2023 leg this month, the “La Incondicional” singer is also preparing to welcome 2024 with more tour dates. Miguel will be performing on New Year’s Eve to ring in the new year before heading off to the Dominican Republic in mid-January.

Miguel is scheduled to stay in Latin America for the second leg of his tour until the end of March and is set to return to North America in April, where he will be performing in Seattle.

What Is Luis Miguel’s Next Tour?

The “Luis Miguel Tour 2024” will follow the lengthy 2023 global live series that has whisked “El Sol de Mexico” across North and South America and extends though the end of the year. It concludes with a stretch of December performances in his native Mexico.

The “La Incondicional” singer’s 2024 run kicks off in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on January 20th, followed by stops in Puerto Rico, Guatemala, and El Salvador to close out the first month. He opens February in Honduras and continues through Central America to Nicaragua and Costa Rica before reaching Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru by the end of the month. In March, he plays in Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Brazil before wrapping his South American leg in Santa Cruz, Bolivia on March 28th.

Miguel’s 2024 North American leg begins in Seattle on April 4th, then swings to Portland, Oregon and California for five consecutive shows between Sacramento, San Francisco, Fresno, San Jose, and Los Angeles. The Netflix star hits Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, and more before jetting to Texas for a whopping seven stops including Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio. He heads to Canada for performances in Toronto and Montreal, then returns to the U.S. for headlining spots in Chicago on May 30th; Brooklyn, New York on June 1st; and Miami on June 8th. After marquee appearances in New Orleans and Nashville, Miguel closes his 2024 world tour in Greensboro, North Carolina on June 16th.

Luis Miguel had a comeback that few expected. The singer’s latest tour is already one of the most successful of the year and competes with global stars such as Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa or Bad Bunny for the crown. In 2023 he had a successful tour that started in Argentina and went through Chile, the United States and Mexico. For the last part of his tour in 2024, the singer will tour Mexico and give 34 concerts from August to November. He will only take a break during the dates close to Mexico’s Independence Day to give three concerts in Las Vegas, United States.

Ticket sales

Luis Miguel is one of the artists who chose to do his tour in Mexico outside of the Ticketmaster system, the largest ticket sales company. That is why depending on the location where he performs, the company in charge of ticket sales may vary. Boletia manages ticket sales for the concerts in Ciudad Juarez, Culiacan, and Acapulco. Fun Ticket has the locations of Monterrey, Valle de Guadalupe, Chihuahua, Mexicali, Tijuana, Saltillo, Torreon, Hermosillo, Guadalajara, Pachuca, Irapuato, Puebla, Tuxtla, Merida, Cancun, and Toluca. Super Boletos sells those of Sinaloa, Tamaulipas, and Mexico City. On the other hand, Eticket only has tickets for Queretaro.

Each concert has a different price range. Tickets in Toluca can be found for 600 pesos, while shows in Valle de Guadalupe start at 2,500 pesos and can reach 15,300 pesos. Acapulco is the town with the most expensive tickets, with a ticket for the VIP section costing 18,150 pesos before service charges.

The singer will perform 10 times in Mexico City, something he only did on this tour starting in Buenos Aires and then in Santiago de Chile. Prices range from 1,146 pesos to 14,703 pesos before Super Boletos commissions.

The most successful tour

In August 2023, the singer timidly started his tour. He only had 40 dates scheduled, but the sales success led him to add more than 150 performances around America and 15 in Spain. On his Instagram account, Luis Miguel has published modified photos where he shares the stage with Taylor Swift, winking at the fact that they are the most successful artists of the moment. He also shared an image of the middle The CEO where he claims to be the highest grossing artist in the world with an average of 31,994 tickets sold per event in 2024 (the magazine TIME estimated that Taylor Swift sold an average of 72,500 tickets per event in 2023, and her tour continues into 2024).

Luis Miguel returned to the stage after a much-criticized tour in 2018 and 2019 marked by delays, cancellations and even the singer leaving the stage just a few minutes into the concert. Expectations were high, but one of Mexico’s most beloved artists did not disappoint, and among both old fans and new listeners, Luis Miguel is now on everyone’s lips, as proven by his nearly 12 billion streams on Spotify.

Two new dates in Monterrey

“ The Sun of Mexico ” will have five new concerts on his tour, two of them in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon which will be on November 14 and 16, as a result of the fact that the only date (November 15) that was planned in the Monterrey capital was quickly exhausted.

Three more concerts in CDMX

The other three concerts that were added to the long tour that will Luis Miguel are in the Mexico City , following selling out on November 21, 22 and 24, they joined on the 25, 27 and 28 of the same month; They will be at the same venue, the Arena Ciudad de México located in the Azcapotzalco mayor’s office of the country’s capital.
